Radisson Hotel Opryland - Nashville

Staff allowed us to check in early which was superb! Thanks again. Room was very clean, bathrooms small and I am not a fan of the sleep number bed. We had an outside style room, so it had a lot of street noise. The pool area was excellent, felt great on our sore muscles after the race. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is great, Gaylord […] Opryland Hotel across the street, Cracker Barrel next door, Opry Mills around the corner and the best Go-Cart track just up the street that let us old-timers bump and wreck each other. We booked online and paid for a King bed, but front desk said that does not guarantee you get a King bed, not for sure how that works?? But we did get a King bed after all was said and done! Mehr

very noisy air conditioner and surrondings

The hotel was nice. Clean. Staff was pleasant. Check-in and check-out no hassle. BUT - we did NOT like the sleep-number beds. Part of it was that we are used to a KING size bed and these were DOUBLES (yes I knew that going in). We could not get the beds to settle on a good number. Jets in hot-tub were not working on the last night of our stay - but […] stuff breaks. Pool was getting dirty (lots of hair in drain) by the end of the week. We were given a room just above the bus-stop and was asked if that was OK. They would have relocated us if necessary. Bathroom is TINY. Location is good for easy access to Opry Mills, Grand Ole Opry, and Gaylord Opryland Resorts. Downtown is about 10-15 minutes away via freeways. I would stay again for Business but not for family. Rooms and furnishings are just a bit too small. Mehr

The staff at the Radisson were wonderful. Very kind and helpful. But the place was crawling with tourists and you didn't get a sense of Nashville the city. Not our kind of place. Great location for those visiting Opryland and who are there to be tourists. We just prefer going where the locals go and had trouble finding that from the staff at this hotel. […] Also, the sheets were really yucky. Definitely polyester and didn't breathe at all. Scratchy. Good swimming pool that was well-maintained with ample towels available. Even grabbed some of those to use as bath towels, which was nice. Mehr

The hotel is very well located (easy access to the highway) and right across the street from the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. We stayed 4 nights at the Radisson and overall were not happy with how they took care of us. Housekeeping skipped our room 2 out of the 4 days. When we called down to the front desk and to have our room serviced, they never responded […] and we had to wait until the next day before it was cleaned. When housekeeping did finally come up to change the sheets, the new ones were stained and one of the days we had to have housekeeping change the bed 3 times until they finally were able to lay out clean bed sheets. Rooms aren't insulated enough to block outside noise. You can hear traffic from the highway and people outside in the hallways very clearly. Overall I would not recommend this hotel to anyone that wants a comfortable stay. Mehr

Loved everything about this hotel, with the exception of the bed. It was a sleep number, and although it wasn't the worst I've slept on, it wasn't very comfortable. Tried everything, we could but COULD NOT get comfortable. Despite the bed, I would DEFINITELY stay her again. I DO NOT personally recomend those sleep number beds. Ours went flat! And we had to be moved to a room with traditional beds.. second night was better, except for noisy location.

Overall this hotel was very nice looking. The rooms were nice and clean, but do not get a room that opens to the outside. Very loud and you'll hear people walk by and the cars go by. Also, the location was excellent to the Grand Opry Hotel, maybe a 10 minute walk or less. One bad thing, not the hotels fault, was the number of convention or public event […] people staying there. Tons of cheerleaders, kids, and dance group things were going on. The pool and hot tub were overran with kids so don't even consider doing those unless you have kids yourself. Mehr

When I checked in to the room I was staying in I walked accorss the floor and there was water soaking accorss the floor. The room next door had furniture stacked every where because a pipe had busted but they place me in the room next to it and the carpet was soaking in water. I was moved to a room on the other side of the hotel and the toilet over […] flowed twice just from flushing. They came and used a rotor-rooter tool to unplug the toilet. Three times i had to get the key re keyed for use. The service people here friendly but the hotel was just very poor. The beds had some kind of blow up device that did not work. The beds were very hard. All in all, I would not stay in that hotel again. No one should have to work under poor conditions to always have to apologize to the guests Mehr

the hotel is located in a convenient location, close to airport, grand ole opry and Nashville. People at reception were extra nice. Food at hotel not great. if you get a room facing the road, it si noisy. garbage pick up at 4am and noise from traffic in adjacent highway. the biggest dispoointment is the cleanliness of the room. they did a apoor job […] cleaning the oom. thye actually just made the bed and 1 out of3 nights they did not even bother clean or make the beds. very poor room cleaning service and that's the main reason for not recommending the hotel. The only negative comments I have are that the sleep number bed was very uncomfortable, and the check in line was always extremely long. I think they need 1 line for check in and 1 line for shuttle tickets.

The location problem was our fault, not the hotel's - we didn't understand when booking the difference between the old (original) Opryland and the new. As for the hotel: 1. I had mentioned on the reservation when making it and called a week later to reconfirm that we needed to have a crib placed in our room for when we arrived (we'd be arriving right […] at my infant son's bedtime and were hoping it'd already be set up). No crib. Not a huge deal, as they would've happily set one up had we called (we decided to just go with the pack and play we had in the car instead), just disappointing. 2. After reading reviews, we made sure to ask for an interior (courtyard) room as opposed to one on the outside of the building due to noise. Well, you could still hear everyone talking anywhere in the courtyard or outside their rooms. Our son likes to go to bed pretty early, so we got there earlier than the average traveler to settle in for the night and there was construction going on which we hadn't expected. Not that big a deal though as they finished early (by 7:00 pm). 3. The room looked nice and was comfortable. If it hadn't been for the general noise in the courtyard and hallways, I'd probably stay again (well, and the location which isn't really by anything unless you're attending something at the new Opryland). :-P Mehr

after a long drive, was looking forward to swim and hot tub, but both was shut down. was told suttle to Opry was'nt available for that nights show. cleaning did'nt show up, so we left for two hours, and came back, had'nt been cleaned. We layed down for a nap, and cleaning showed up at 4:30 in the afternoon to clean. The grill in the resterant was f […] abuous. Mehr

The service at this hotel was excellent. They went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

the hotel is close to the opry. thats the only good comment i have everything else was a hassel. there was no refrigerator so you had to run to the ice machine every couple hours. my wife and i could not sleep because the sound from the main highway comes through the paper thin walls. got charged 3 bucks just for ordering pizza out.also the shuttle […] from the opry was so full my family and i had to stand up while the shuttle driver drove to all the other hotels leaving the raddison for last.will not book there again. Overall I like this hotel and would stay here again. The proximity to Opryland and quality non-smoking rooms at a good price make this hotel a value. Based on other reviews I specified an inside room and had no smoke odor whatsoever. However, the concerns I had after the first visit are exactly the same after the second. Housekeeping needs to improve […] their act. On both visits I found hair in the bathroom and a less than clean bathtub The shower curtains are too long and it's hard not to step/trip on them when showering. On my first visit there was no soap in the bathroom or shower. Also the only blanket is a thick warm comforter which is way too hot for a hotel room. Sleeping with just the sheet was a little too cool. On my first visit I purchased the hotel and breakfast combo--don't bother. The coffee shop was mediocre at best and I've never been served such weak coffee. I guess they save money by putting very little coffee in the pot--horrible. Mehr

Everything was good except the pool was closed and told that it was not in working condition. They did say we could use the opry hotel pool but that was a lot of trouble to get over there.

We stayed at this hotel and It was Great! There is not 1 thing to complain about. The service was outstanding, the rooms were great and the price was the best. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Everytime I go to Nashville I WILL stay here!!!!

pool broken. no menion of it on site. we chose because of pool assceeibility. outside room. no sound berrier. you could hear everything from the street. clean room. nice interior.

This was a nice and clean hotel. However we stayed there because they advertized a heated indoor pool and hot tub which were broken. We had 3 kids with us and it would have been better if they told us the pool was not working when we booked.

We were in to attend a Christmas party for the University I work for. The University provided one night's lodging at the Gaylord Hotel across the street. After obtaining the price to stay one night on our own there, we decided to go with the less expensive option, which mean the Radisson, just across the street. So...we had one night at each hotel. That […] being said, when we return to Nashville, we will not be staying at the Gaylord but we will absolutely be staying again with the Radisson. We were met in a NOT RUSHED manner, by a lovely lady who spent time talking to us, and making sure we knew where we were going to find our room and the amenities of the hotel. Our room was phenomenal. The bed amazingly comfortable, and even though we faced the parking lot, NO NOISE in the room. One of the cleanest hotels we've been in in some time (and we travel a lot). The pool area is beautiful, the in hotel restaurant was busy yet, inviting. Shoot, Shoney's is a short walk across the building if you'd rather do that. The next day we schleped all our stuff over to the Gaylord. I realize it is a resort...I realize it is massive, but of the 26 people we traveled with to Nashville for this event, ALL of us got lost in the mass of humanity that is traversing the space there. You cannot get your luggage to your room comfortably with all the people there. Our room was NOT as nice as our room at the Radisson. The bed was not as nice, nor the room as clean. Also, the hall noise was very evident. If you want a room for 100 dollars less with better service and less aggravation...stayh at the Radisson. Mehr

This hotel is right next door to Gaylords and they run continual shuttle service so you don't have to move your car. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. Only complaint would be the bathroom which was tiny. Almost had to stand in the tub to get the door closed. Would definately stay there again.

The hotel staff was exceptionally nice and the lobby was very welcoming and decorated nicely for Christmas. Slightly disappointed with our room as it had exterior access and was a little noisy, but overall a great experience and much more affordable than staying at the Opryland hotel. The shuttle service definitely gains brownie points.

Overall I would recommend this hotel and I will stay again. Experience was nice and the tranportation of the buses made things very convenient. My only complaint, we were there for our anniversary and I booked my reservation about 1 month in advance and requested a king size bed when I got to the hotel they had none left.

This hotel is not close to Nashville, however they did offer transportation into the City. Gaylord Opryland is across the street.

Well, hotel desk atttendant was rude. Teenagers were loud at midnight and I shut them up. Right afterward they called the hotel from a cellphone and asked for my room only to hang up on me. After the second call I asked the hotel not to put any calls through to my room and she was irritated by my reasonable request. Very loud room due to thin door being […] on the outside of building which I did not know when booking room. Restaurant food not great. Hotel was clean and bed was comfy. We stayed here for the Opryland Christmas. It overall is a good motel with the shuttle over to Opryland Hotel and shows with no extra charge. The outside corridor rooms are noisy from the traffic, We had requested an inside room for this reason when we reserved the room but did not get one. Good luck finding your room if you get an outside room, it […] is like a maze finding the rooms. There is no breakfast available so plan on going out for breakfast, however there is a Cracker Barrel and Shoney's within walking distance. Mehr

This hotel stay was very uncomfortable and noisy. The room was outside and you heard traffic all night. We asked for a room with king size beds, but received a room with double beds.

nice hotel. recent remodel with good quality. my problem with this hotel is that half of the rooms are accessed from outside corridors. Then your door and window in the room face a very loud and busy highway. the cold raining night made me realize how much i wished that i had a different hotel. free coffee in the am from 5:00 to 6:30- and not 6:31. for […] the $... ok but with a car i would stay some where else and dive 5 or 10 minutes over to the opry area. plus side: very safe, clean and nice staff. It was good. They took care of transferring from Smoke Smelling Room (though and identified No Smoking Room) to alternate location very well. I did not realize that the rooms booked through this web site are limited to only certain type of location in the building. However, I was satisfied with the change accommodated by them.

The hotel was great, the sleep comfort beds are not for me, could not get a good nite sleep in it. Some may like them, but I wouldn't want to have one again.
