Bewertet von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 15. Jan. 2013Insgesamt gut. Das Hotel liegt in einem neu gebauten Hotel- und Bürohochhaus-District. Nur ein paar Convenience-Stores zum Einkaufen in der Nähe. Die Zimmerausstattung ist für europ. Verhältnisse außergewöhnlich, insbesondere das Bad mit Whirl-Wanne und Dampfdusche. Nicht alle Mitarbeiter der Reception sprechen Englisch bzw. sind ortskundig bezügl. der Umgebung, U-Bahn-Linienplan usw., versuchen aber trotzdem stets zu helfen. Das Frühstück war schmackhaft (warmes koreanisches Buffet mit zusätzlich Milch, Toast, Cerealien, Marmelade usw.). Aber die Frühstückszeiten orientieren sich an Geschäftsreisenden (07.30-08.40), max. 10 Minuten nach Ende sind alle Gäste hinauskomplimentiert - etwas überraschend angesichts der sonst bekannten asiatischen Höflichkeit, und in Deutschland so nicht üblich...

Zimmer ist picobello, Vollautomatische Toilette, mit Pidet, Geruchsabsaugung, Fön für Popo, I.Fon, I-Pod, u.a. Stereoanlage, Zimmer in Top Design und vor allem eine super Matratze. Lage ist zentral in der Stadtmitte im Businessdistrict, allerdings eine 8 spurige Verkehrsstraße direkt am Hotel. Sehr gute Schalldämmung, also man hört faktisch nichts von der Straße, dann allerdings muss die Klimaanlage laufen. Sehr höfliches und zuvorkommendes Personal, exczellentes Englsch vorhanden.

Sep. 2012Personal am Empfang/Restaurant freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend; günstige Lage in der Nähe der U-Bahnstation "Synonhyeon" (Linie 9); U-Bahnstation an gleicher Straße wie Hotel ca. 7 min. Fußweg; Hotel wird vom KAL Limousin-Bus vom Flughafen direkt angefahren; Qualität und Auswahl des Frühstück-Buffet in Relation zur Hotelkategorie und des Preises gut; einziger Kritikpunkt - die Toilette lief aufgrund einer Verstopfung, die nicht durch uns verursacht wurde, über und überschwemmte den Fußboden im Bad ( zum Glück nur Wasser ); telefonische Meldung erfolgte gegen 06:30, die Beseitigung der Überschwemmung erfolgte erst im Rahmen der Zimmerreinigung, zwischen 07:30 und 08:30 - hier hätten wir eine kürzere Reaktionszeit erwartet; da wir das Frühstück vorverlegten und das Duschen erst danach erfolgte und die Zimmerreinigung wärend der Frühstückszeit erfolgte, war das aber noch zu akzeptieren; ansonsten war das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut - würden wir jederzeit wieder buchen.

Very nice location. In walking distance of shops and restaurants. The hotel was newly remodeled and was at or near 5 star. Very clean. The room had a computer for the toilet and another between the beds for controlling the drapes, temp, phones, etc. The hotel restaurants were quality. The staff was very helpful. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. We were only there for two days and the location was perfect for walking to the palaces and a few of the markets (10-15 minute walk). One palace was right across the street. The room was quiet and beds very comfortable. The decor was nice and very high tech with the lights and shades. Very stylish room, loaded with high-tech. There was a great view of the city Hall and the ice rink in front of it. Extremely courteous and helpful staff. I reserved Deluxe-Double but I had to select Bathtub or City-View at my check-in. Then I selected bathtub and released the Nice-View which is one of this hotel's sales points. I think my decision was not bad because I just sleep at the hotel and actually I could see the adequate city scene from the window. Truly a great hotel. Staff are very helpful and courteous. Decor and rooms are very nice. Being attached to a subway station is very convenient. The only downside is the pool is in another building, you have to cross the street to get there. Also the decor is trying to be super fancy, but some of it is a bit chintzy. We mistakenly book a room for one instead of two occupants. After several emails, the hotel was kind enough to offer refund if we would like to cancel, but nothing else. That made us feel that they did not need a business with us. At checkin we thought they might surprise us with a more comfortable room but no luck there. They informed us: free gym […] (wow???) but not the sauna, no pool, late checkout fee. Everything was done exactly by the book, no flexibility and definitely to no attempt to please you or make you feel special or welcome,. Overall the quality was expected. However, the remarkable aspect of our stay was the concierge's patience and attentiveness to my elderly parents. My parents are extremely, for lack of better words, ... baby boomers. Service from check in to check out was excellent. Staff at buffet breakfast coffee house was most helpful ,even gave us a map and talked us through with detailed instructions on how to get to attraction. Concierge was most helpful providing us with tourist info. Every single staff ( bell boy, room service, housekeeping) we met in the Plaza was very […] friendly n polite. Although room was facing City Hall , the music from the events could not be heard cause of the double windows. We had a great stay at the Plaza. "Great Hotel for 1st Time Visitor to Seoul!"
The staff of the Plaza made this visit extremely pleasant for a first time visitor to Seoul, Everyone was friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Most of the staff could speak Mandarin, Japanese and English. The rooms were small compared to western hotels, but extremely clean and comfortable. The elevators came quickly and required a room […] card to access the floors for security. The hotel is conveniently located next to a subway stop and within walking distance of restaurants, bars and shopping areas. The concierge staff helped us numerous times with restaurant recommendations, subway assistance, theater reservations and flight confirmation. Rooms are small and worn off. The "unique design" of the rooms does not really look upscale. After the relaunch, the hotel bar looks like a random coffee shop and has lost all its previous charm. This is a supreb hotel with absolutely amazing staff. When I was injured, a member accompanied me to the hospital to help with translation. I've stayed at this hotel several times and also at the Westin Choson. The corridors in the Plaza are darker but I like the Plaza better. The design of the room makes it just about the prettiest I've ever stayed in and the facilities were uniformly excellent. I have one minor complaint. The Plaza is a very nice hotel in an excellent location and a very helpful staff. The rooms are very modern, but small. Breakfast and some other services are very expensive (40$ for breakfast).
