Alles gut. Schlichte Zimmer aber sehr sauber. Keine Aussicht weil Fenster alle in Lichtschächte.Aber nicht schlimm. Dafür sehr ruhig. Frühstück genial...

Wir habenals Reisegruppe mit insgesamt 7 Personen für 4 Tage im Astoria gewohnt. Die Gegend erscheint sicher, die U-Bahn ist in ca. 5 Gehminuten errreichbar. Viele Bars und Kaffee´s in Hotelnähe. Frühstück hatten wir nicht vorab gebucht, bei der Ankunft wurde uns ein Spezialpreis von 7 Euro p.P. und Tag für ein reichhaltiges Buffet offeriert, was wir […] gerne annahmen. Unsere Zimmer zum Hinterhof waren ruhig, vergleichsweise klein, aber modern und komfortabel. Fazit: Ein echtes Schnäppchen!!!! Mehr

Das Hotel befindet sich in einer idialen Gegend. Von der Metrostation-"Diagonal" sind es 5 Geheminuten zum Hotel. Die Sauberkeit lässt ebenfalls keine Wünsche übrig! Nur das Personal an der Rezeption war ziemlich unfreundlich, bzw gleichgültig!

Die Tipps des Personals bezüglich Essen waren super!!!! Die Metro in der Nähe

Das Hotel überraschte uns durch das gute Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Unbedingt Frühstueck zum Sonderpreis von 6,50 € zubuchen, da super lecker.! Der kleine Pool ist nach langen Stadtspaziergängen angenehm zur Erfrischung, aber zu klein zum Schwimmen. Super Hotel! Es richtet sich an alle Kultur-Freunde. So bekamen wir zwei Museums-Tickets geschenkt. Außerdem befindet sich im Hotel ein kleines Museum , das sich mit einem Picasso-Zeitgenossen befasst. Die Zimmer waren gut eingerichtet und obwohl ich häufig gelesen hatte, dass es in Hotels in Barcelona sehr viel Klagen über Lärm gibt, war es im Astoria […] ausgesprochen leise. Natürlich ist die Umgebung ein weiterer Pluspunkt für das Hotel, da sämtliche Gebäude in diesem Stadtteil eigentlich ein Foto wert sind. Man kann Casa Mila und Sagrada Familia gut zu Fuß erreichen, auch eine Metro-Station befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe. Abends kann man in einem der zahlreichen kleinen Lokale in der Nähe gut essen. Alles in allem ein guter Anlauf-Punkt, um Barcelona kennen zu lernen. Mehr

Ich war positiv überrascht von dem Dachpool und der kostenlosen WIfi Versorgung.

Alles bestens. Auch die Lage des Hotels war gut.

Die Mitarbeiter am Empfang sind sehr freundliche und hilfsbereit. Das Servicepersonal ist ebenfalls sehr freundlich. Trotz einer Renovation im Nachbarzimmer war kaum Lärm zu hören. Die Handwerker waren sehr rücksichtsvoll. Lage ist sehr zentral und viele gute Resaurants und Cafes sind in unmittelbarer Nähe. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir waren überrascht von der Freundlichkeit des Personals und der Sauberkeit der Zimmer resp. des Hotels allgemein. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Fenster zur Strasse. Der Lärm war bei geschlossenen Fenstern aber durchaus tragbar. Das Hotel liegt ca 10 Minuten von der Metro Station Diagonal, einem Knotenpunkt des Metronetzes von Barcelona, entfernt. Das Hotel ist nicht so abgelegen und sehr nahe der Metrostation Diagonal. Man kann auch bei gutem Wetter Stadtwärts spazieren gehen. Es hat nicht viel Luxus aber die Preis-Leistung stimmt vollkommen. Vorallem ist es sauber und das Zimmer wird täglich geputzt auch wenn man durchfeiert und später raus geht :-). Das Zimmer hat nicht soviel Schnick-Schnack […] aber ist sehr gross, auch das Bad. Die Strassenseite ist sehr lebendig und kann auch mal lärmig sein (Verkehr- Ausgehort- Clubs und Glasentsorgung vor der Türe). Aber uns hat es nicht gestört, da wir selber viel aus waren. Das Wi-Fi-Empfang vom Hotel ist manchmal etwas zu überlastet und man hat im Zimmer nicht immer so guten empfang. Für Geschäftsreisen eher weniger denke ich wegen dem. In der Lobby geht es besser. Die Rezeption ist sehr nett und auch hilfsbereit. Frühstück haben wir nicht benutzt, es gibt viel Essmöglichkeiten rund herum. Viel Spass! Mehr

Didn't realize that there was a 14 euro charge for breakfast even though I asked. Too pricey for cold food. No metro stop near. Room was beautiful but the lighting was really poor. Very very clean.

the room was at the top of the hotel with uncertain fire escape. the "fitness room" was a joke. the hotel was nice and the staff and breakfast great. the roof view was fantastic.

Enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Staff were pleasant and helpful at all times.

I paid extra for a superior room but the one I was given seemed pretty standard to me. Considerable noise of traffic also.

Hotel is clean and convenient to central of Barcelona. Though not in centre itself (of which the hotels are small and expensive); this hotel is close to the underground, bars and restaurants and walking distance to all the main sites. I didnt get on the underground bar getting to and from the airport. Would return.

This hotel isn't in the central shopping/ramblas area but then there's more to Barcelona than the obvious. It's surrounded by good restaurants, bars and stylish shopping and close to the underground. It's not too far to walk to many attractions and you can enjoy the beautiful streets on the way. The hotel is nice, clean and well run. Rooms are adequate […] and well furnished. Mehr

This is not a hotel to enjoy your time in the room as the space is limited to a bed, a small desk and a closet. The room was clean but the air-condition was not the best. We were there in the winter and can easily imagine that the heat would be a major issue in the summer. The bathroom was big compared to the room, clean and of a high standard. The […] location is GREAT with Rambla la Catalunya and Passeig de Gracia within two minutes walk. The Metro is also nearby; bringing you to all what Barcelona has to offer. The staff was friendly, and for Spaniards their English was well above average. For the purpose of a few days of shopping and sightseeing in central areas of Barcelona, this was a great alternative. At a price well below average for the area and an acceptable comfort (the bed was hard..), we have no problem recommending this hotel for a few days in Barcelona. For longer visits, especially in the summer, the hard bed and the poor air-condition could be a problem for most. Mehr

The hotel is very conveniently located, being close to several metro stations, to la diagonal which is a main street of Barcelona. You could walk from the hotel to placa catalunya, which is the beginning of the Las Ramblas, in no time at all. Very clean rooms, the bed was to hard for my taste, but my girlfriend loved it. Comfortable, clean, good breakfast. Great service and very helpful staff. Easy access to the centre of town.

Hotel was very nice. Room was ready when we arrived and staff was very friendly and helpful. Always ready to answer questions and give directions. Location of hotel was very good. Lots of F&B in the neighborhood and metro station Diagonal is a 5-10 minute walk. Would definitely stay there again.

The Astoria is a well located hotel in a pleasant area of Barcelona. The rooms were a touch on the small side, but clean, tidy and well presented. Would definitely recommend for a short stay in the city.

I booked this hotel literally the day before we arrived, looked good on the website, but once we got to our room we where given a twin but changed quickly to a dbl, which had the worst view ever had, brick wall, asked for no smoking but could smell it inside the room aswell as out!!! The staff where very helpfull and the hotel if you like walking is […] a little out of the way, plus the reason i went for this hotel was that required a fitness room which they said they had, this was on the 8th floor was in the smallish conservatory with 2 bikes and and a step machine which didnt work, best of all the breakfast was great. The Astoria is a very nice hotel in a great location, not too touristy, combination of retail, business and residential. A reasonable walk to Las Ramblas and the major tourist area. This is a centrally located inexpensive hotel. The rooms are fine although the sound carries from the adjacent rooms.

Stayed at this hotel for a long weekend and it was fine. Staff are helpful, roms are clean. About thirty minute bus ride to barcelonetta beach. Didnt have breakfast so couldn't comment on that. Overall not too bad. Expect to use transport to get around.

Stayed at the Astoria on a very hot few days in Sept. The hotel has wonderful A\C throughout the lobby and in the rooms which really was essential in Barcelona . The room was spotless clean with a good sized bathroom with a good powerful shower. Towels changed daily. I had booked a single room but got a double for same price. Room has a mini bar ,safe […] and LCD tv , though the only English channel is CNN but then I didn’t spend much time watching telly. There is a small rooftop pool and a sun lounge area to chill out in the evening if you wish. It’s about a 7 min. walk to the metro (Diagonal) The breakfast was 11 Euro extra so just used the many little cafes in the area for breakfast. Much cheaper .Front desk staff informative and speak good English. You can book the Tourist bus from the front desk which is really handy as the lines get very long down town. The only small down point is that as the hotel is in the upmarket Eixample area it gets a little quiet (ie dead) in the evenings….There`s restaurants and bars a little walk away on Psg de Garcia and Rambla de Catalunya but not much around the immediate hotel.. All in all a good clean ,quite hotel , just a little off the main city centre action . For the price would def stay again Mehr

Great hotel! Nice location just a block from the main Diagonal blvd. The hotel is very clean and the management is very attentive and very courteous. We were so pleased with this hotel. We were just a short taxi ride from the cruise ship port - 35 Euros.

This hotel is your standard European hotel. Nice lobby, but boring tight rooms. standard queen size bed, etc. The roof top pool was nice touch though small, with more old buildings than sights as your view. The neighborhood was nice, and safe (if you don't mind a small strip club and a peep show/porn house on the same street) but a little confusing […] the first or second time getting off the metro. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to the metro. Fairly close to some major sights, far from the beach. No problems with the hotel, check in, the staff, etc. Mehr

The rooms are quite nice but we were unfortunately stuck in an inside room with a view of 4 concrete walls. I asked to be moved but they said they were full. The room itself was quite tiny and unsuitable for 2 people. The pool is very tiny and it gets quite busy during the summer. There wasn't always a chair or table available. I would have no reservations about recommending this hotel if you don't need your hotel to look like one of the big American higher end chains. The lobby was very attractive and had great original art work. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and gracious. The room itself was clean, but the bedspread and curtains looked dusty. The bathroom was modern […] and clean. The floors in the room were tiled with no carpet, so it looked a bit austere. It was in a nice section of town, and there were low key Spanish cafes on the corners in both directions that were reasonably priced with local foods. I would not hesitate to stay there again. Mehr

Great room, free wifi in lobby, $30.00 cab from airport, $20.00 to cruise port, free coffee in the morning would have been nice. Easy walk to las rambles if you are in reasonable shape. Overall, more than expected.

Very small room, no swimming pool.

When I got to the hotel, they put me on the roof and the a/c never cooled the room off. Then they put me in a nice cool room that was noisy with a jackhammer from 10am to 7 pm. The third room I got was the best facing the main street. Call ahead for issues concerning remodeling and a/c. Otherwise, I'd stay here again next time I visit because of the […] nice neighborhood. Surrounding neighborhood is nice. Kind of central location, you can easily get to main attractions by bus, but you have to ask. Staff is helpful. downside... We traveled with kids, and like all european hotels, very strict about how many can stay in a room when checking in.
