Feb. 2013Hotel befand sich zum Zeitpunkt zwischen 2Baustellen(1direkt im Gebäude daneben, 1Anfang der Rue de l'arbre sec),dazu der Mini-Empfang=Schock.Wir waren am Wochenende da=keine Lärmbelästigung.Wir sind Mo.früh abgereist, im Haus neben sehr laut.Wir kamen um 10h an,Check-In ist um14h.Das Gepäck habe ich nicht hinterlassen,es wäre von außen sichtbar gewesen,das ist bei monogrammiertem Gepäck nicht wünschenswert.Das Zimmer konnten wir um 11:30Uhr beziehen,wir waren in Chambre Pont-Neuf( 5.Et.)Zimmer war sauber+für frz.Verhältnisse groß,genauso wie das Bad(bodentiefe Dusche+Doppelwaschbecken).Es gab,wie erbeten,2getrennte Betten.Sauberkeit:Bettwäsche+Handtücherl(auch beim demonstrativen Stapel auf dem Boden)wurden nicht täglich gewechselt.1neuer Anstrich+neuer Teppich würde nicht schaden.Servicequalität,keine 4*: Hoteldirektor haben wir am Anreisetag gesehen,das war‘s.Frühstück jd Morgen anders ist,obwohl wir immer das Gleiche bestellten.Sehr ärgerlich war,dass ein bestellter grüner Tee mehr als30Minuten dauerte.Angeblich gab es keinen grünen Tee im Haus(!).Dies kann ich in 1“4*Haus“nicht nachvollziehen.Wieso kein Tee von Kusmi, Frères Mariages o.Angelina,anstatt Lipton?Keine Kommunikation mit dem Gast.Ich bin Französin,die Sprache war nicht Verständigkeitsproblems.Die Lage des Hotels ist hervorzuheben,nah an 2Metrostrationen(M1+M7)sowie der Rue de Rivoli.Fazit:kein 4*Niveau,die Kombi kl.Hotel+die Lage ist gut bis sehr gut,wenn man dafür Abstriche beim Service akzeptieren will.

Dafür super ruhiges kleines Zimmer (chambre des bonnes) mit Pariser Charme, über enge Treppe erreichbar, mit Koffer und Einkaufstüten mühsam, nichts für Fußfranke oder Senioren! Habe bereits wieder gebucht, da tolle Lage und sehr freundliche Atmosphäre!!

Der Empfang bei der Ankunft war sehr freundlich. Die Lage ist gut- in der Nähe gibt es Bus-und Metroverbindung. Wenig Geräusche von der Straße, aber umso mehr von den Zimmertüren die ständig bis morgens um 2 Uhr zuschlagen, was einem vom Schlaf abhält. Gute zentrale Lage (3 Metrostationen in gut 5 Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar), Zimmer sauber mit tgl. Service. Sehr gute Betten u. Matratzen. Sehr ruhig insgesamt. Gar nicht akzeptabel war das Geschirr und Besteck im Frühstücksraum. Ich war auf der der Suche nach einem günstigen Hotel genau in dieser Gegend und habe das Belambra City Hotel ausgewählt. Es ist natürlich nicht ein prunkvoller Bunker mit allem erdenklichen Komfort. Das Zimmer war ausreichend groß, sehr ruhig gelegen und vor allem sauber. Das Bad war etwas muffig, aber ich habe in Paris schon viel heftigeres erlebt. […] Frühstück mit guter Auswahl. Alles in allem, zu dem Preis top Leistung. Metro Station und RER Zug sind gut erreichbar. Gutes Restaurant zu normalen Pariser Preisen in unmittelbarer Nähe. Das Hotel hat eine super Lage, nur 5 min von Metro entfernt. 10 min entfernt gibt es ein McDonalds und andere Brasserien, wo ein leckereres Essen gibt. Die Preise sind ok, alles paar Euros teuerer, als bei uns, aber erträglich. Das Zimmer ist super, klein aber fein. Es ist sauber, nicht perfekt, aber wirklich erträglich. Das Bad war zu 80% sauber, das […] Zimmer selber zu 90%. Hab auf dem Bett (Fleece-Bettdecke) paar fremde Haare entdeckt. Das Hotel liegt nur ca. 10 min. von der Metro-Station entfernt, sowie 10 Min. von Restaurants und Bars. Es gibt eine Garage, was für uns wichtig war. Das Zimmer war sauber. "Tolles Hotel"
Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Hotel. Es war sehr sauber und das Bad auch gross...Wir hatten frische Handtücher. Das Frühstücksbuffet war auch total ok. Es gab Baguette und Toast, 1 Sorte Käse und Wurst, Marmelade, Honig, Butter, Nutella. 2 verschiedene Säfte, Tee, Kakao, Kaffee, verschiede Joghurt, Quark, Obstsalat und Müsli. Wirklich ausreichend. […] Das Frühstück ist am WE im Preis inbegriffen, während der Woche kostet es € 8,00. Es gibt einen Getränke/Snack - Automat in der Lobby. Das Hotel hat einen Aufzug. Nur 5 min. Fußweg zur Metro Station "Les Gobelins" und "Corvisart". An der Rezeption waren sie sehr freundlich und sprechen Deutsch, Englisch und France. Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden. Es gab nur ein paar kleine Mankos.. Wir hatten am 2. Tag kein WC Papier, hätte der Putzfrau auffallen müssen, es gab auch nix zum Einsperren der Wertsachen im Zimmer und die Fenster kann man leider nur 1 Spalt öffnen. Aber das war alles nicht schlimm. Pleasant nice hotel, okay breakfast buffet included, okay neighborhood, 7 minutes walk to Glaciere metro station, but a bit far from main tourist sites - usually ended up as a 20-25 minute metro ride to add to the 7 minutes walk. "No frills but no complaints"
For me this location was perfect for the purposes of my trip. It's close to several good metros (Les Gobelins, Glaciere etc) and buses (21 etc) so it's very easy to get around Paris. It's also not far from the RER at Denfert Rochereau which goes direct to Gare du Nord. There are lots of places in walking distance too. The hotel itself is very simple, […] perhaps a little tired looking but perfectly servicable. The staff seem a little overloaded with queues at the desk for checkin/checkout so I was glad to have paid in advance. The room was small but I only slept there so that was fine - it was neat, clean and everything worked. The bathroom was also clean but there are no toiletries to speak of except a tiny soap and a tiny sachet of body wash. The breakfast was pretty basic and not the best quality but you could help yourself to what you wanted. If you aren't fussed by frills and just want a place to sleep, the Magendie is spot on. The room was very clean with comfortable bed. Front desk was helpful with directions and sightseeing suggestions. The room was very hot but without AC. They sent me a fan to better air circulation. Very nice free breakfast. No business center or computer for guests to use. But the front desk kindly allowed me to quickly use their computer to send an […] email for emergency. Nice clean hotel, there is free good breakfast and free wifi and even that it's not too close to the main attractions, there is a metro station close by. Don't expect too much of a good customer service here in Paris, but there was a guy name Shady who works the night shift at this hotel, he was really nice with all the guests. "Escape the crush"
We spent four nights at this hotel and I was very happy with it. We were close enough to all the sights but far enough to be able to enjoy a real Parisian neighbourhood. The desk staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was well located for transit and restaurants. The rooms are no frills but are serviceable. "Not worth the cost they charge."
No air con, no in room safe, but at least it was free breakfast, which wasn't too bad. Very noisie outside the hotel early morning, which was not the best, cause of no air con, I ended up having the window open all night, so makes the noise even worse.Authentische Expedia-Gästebewertung

"Excellent Stay in comfortable neighborhood."
I greatly enjoyed my stay as the hotel was comfortable and convenient. I stayed in a single room -- and it was just perfect for my needs. Likewise the hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We chose this hotel due to location and price. The location ended up being good, but we were put on a floor in desperate need of renovations. Signs were posted saying that renovations are underway.....and they are obviously way overdue! Flaky wifi (available only in the lobby, btw), unhelpful staff (when asked about places to go for food nearby), and a mediocre breakfast. "Basic but excellent value"
The rooms are extremely clean and functional., but not a lot of extra frills. It does lack plugs to charge cell phones, etc., but the inconvenience is minor. The staff was extremely helpful, made good suggestions for restaurants, etc., and even suggested which subway stop was preferable for me walking with a cane! The place was close to a metro station, and so, it was well connected to other places in Paris. The room was in really good condition and I had no issues with the stay. The room was small, but given that you are in the hotel only to sleep, it is alright. Compared to the other hotel in the area, this one was the cheapest in hotel.com. One problem that […] I faced was that the staff did not provide tooth paste or shaving cream. "Budget Hotel, good value for this price"
The room is relative small, the bathroom is really small, but it was clean and the staff was very friendly and everybody spoke English. The breakfast was much better than expected. "Learn to be grateful in Paris"
I stayed in this hotel for two nights on a business trip. It is a nice, clean and quite hotel. However, one should note that Paris is one of those cities that teaches gratitude to travelers. I heard many horror stories about Paris hotels and had my share of them in my previous trip. So I must emphasize that I arrived in this hotel with very low expectations […] and when I say that it is a nice hotel, I am making a comparative statement. One of the thinks that you should note is that, although the hotel's location is convenient, it is also somewhat difficult to find. I got lost in my both nights of stay trying to find it. Luckily the neighborhood is nice and safe. You should also note that, although the hotel advertises to have free wireless access, what they mean is that they offer wireless access "only in the lobby, only for the first day of your stay and only for a total of half an hour." I am planning to stay in this hotel again during my next visit to Paris. Not because it is a really good hotel, but because I believe it is as good as a hotel in this price range can get in Paris. "In great neighborhood, good value"
I enjoyed my stay. It was close to the Metro, and it was about a 40 minute walk to the Seine and the area where most of the tourist sights are. For me, I liked walking (and biking--20 minutes) through the streets of Paris. There is also a bike-sharing pickup between the hotel and the Metro if that's something you're interested in. For all the crazy […] streets of Paris, Rue du Monge is a direct route to get downtown, and Rue de St. Jacques is a direct route to get back. It's also not far from Montparnasse--a place to get a view of Paris at night--and it was nice to be closer to my hotel when I did that. There are great student areas close by at Palace D'Italie. The hotel itself was not overly fancy but more than adequate. It was nice to have breakfast taken care of in the morning. I enjoyed being away from the super touristy area and getting to see other parts of Paris. If you feel the same, then this hotel is great and well worth it.
