Nur ca. 80 m von der Metrostation Deak Ference entfernt. Großteil der Sehenswürdigkeiten von dort aus zu Fuß erreichbar. Ansonsten optimale Anbindung an Metro, Straßenbahn und Bus. Das Hotel selber kann ich jederzeit weiter empfehlen. Preis- und Leistungsverhältnis passen.

Das Hotel befindet sich in der Nähe der EXPO. Da wir ein Auto dabei hatten, war mfür mich der kostenlose Parkplatz direkt vor dem Hotel super. In anderen Hotels in BUD musste ich immer bis zu 16 EUR zahlen. Dafür ist man hier etwas abseits, jedoch in ca. 10 minuten mitten in BUD. Das Frühstücksbuffet entsprach den Erwartungen. Auswahl an Eierspeisen und Wurst war besser als im Mercure. Und das beste, hier noch alles inkl. Auf dem Dach gibt es auch noch einen WellnessBereich. Hier der Abstrich, die Sauna wurde leider erst am abend angeschaltet und der Jacuzi war leider abends um 7 immer noch auf 29 Grad. DIeser wurde zwar an diesem Tag gereinigt, doch dies hätte man auch am Vormittag machen können, so dass am Abend dieser auch zu benutzen ist! Ansonsten, tolles Hotel. Ich werde beim nächsten mal dieses wieder buchen. TIP: LH hat mir dieses Hotel schon mal angeboten, als mein Flug leider nicht zurück nach FRA starten konnte

Großes, schön eingerichtetes Hotel, zwar etwas Abseits gelegen und die Umgebung ist eine einfache Wohngegend. Dennoch reizvoll direkt gegenüber der Margareteninsel und man ist schnell bei den Sehenswürdigkeiten. Bezahlbare Parkplätze vor dem Hotel sind ein großer Pluspunkt in Budapest.

"Schönes Hotel und angenehmer Aufenthalt"Bewertet von P&R T aus "Deutschland" am 10. Apr. 2012
Lage: Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe des Hauptbahnhofs, in einer etwas ruhigeren Seitenstraße und ist relativ einfach zu finden. Die Stadt-Busse fahren fast direkt vor dem Hotel vorbei, so dass man diese wunderbar für die Fahrt in den Stadtkern nutzten kann. Die Tickets konnten wir direkt im Hotel kaufen. Hotel: Das Hotel macht schon von Außen einen sehr schönen und gepflegten Eindruck und auch der Empfangsbreich sowie die Aufzüge und Flure alles super sauber und in einem ordentlichen Zustand. Die Empfangsmitarbeiter waren sehr nett und man konnte alles auf Deutsch erledigen. Zimmer: Die Zimmer waren sauber, nur im Bad waren ein paar kleine Stellen, die noch genauer geputzt hätten werden können und die Dusche hätte von Außen eine neue Fuge benötigt. Aber die Dusche im innreren und die Amaturen waren sauber und in einem ordentlichen Zustand. Das Bett war super bequem und auch sehr schön groß! Der Ausblick aus unserem Zimmer im obersten Stockwerk war sehr schön. Das Zimmer war sehr warm, da wir die Klimaanlage nicht zum laufen gebracht haben, aber wir haben das Fenster zum Balkon geöffnet und das war dann sehr angenehm. Schwimmbad/Restaurant: Haben wir beides nicht benutzt und können dazu nichts sagen. Frühstück: Die Auswahl war umfangreich, viele frische Früchte und Müsli, verschiedene Brote, Wurst und Käse. Auch warme Speisen. Es war für jeden etwas dabei. Tiefgarage: Wir haben den Tiefgaragenplatz genutzt, weil unser Auto ziemlich neu ist. Leider ist die Abfahrt in das zweite UG ziemglich eng und steil, so dass man vorsichtig fahren bzw. sein Auto gut kennen sollte. Aber ansonsten ist die Garage sehr parktisch und sauber. Abschließend kann man sagen, ein sehr schönes Hotel, in dem wir immer wieder übernachten würden, da es uns vor allem auf die Qualität der Betten sowie die Sauberkeit der Zimmer ankommt und diese unseren doch sehr hohen Anforderungen gerecht wurden. "Das Hotel liegt nur ein paar Schritte vom Bahnhof"
Wir waren vor vielen Jahren schon einmal in diesem Hotel in Budapest, damals hat es uns schon gut gefallen, diesmal ist alles noch viel besser, sauberer und professioneller geworden. Sollten wir wieder in Budapest sein, ist es selbstverständlich, dass wir wieder im Best Western Hungarua nächtigen.

"Best Western Hotel Hungaria"
The hotel is rather dated. We did not eat dinner in restaurant as was empty except for one table and did not look appealing. Our bedroom was nice enough but suggest they invest in new bedlinen. Sheets and mattress protectors were too small for our single beds and we had uncomfortable nights waking up on bare mattresses!! At night we felt unsafe walking […] about near our hotel as many homeless people on pavements and camped under the flyover. Mehr

Nice hotel in a somewhat dodgy area, not very far to walk to the city center though. Our room was clean with comfortable beds, unfortunately it was facing the street which made it very noisy - lots of traffic 24/7. Don't use the "wellness area" - it was overpriced, water in the jacuzzi was cold and there was no aroma in the aroma sauna... Go to a thermal […] bath instead, much better. "Hop on-off bus at door"
Large hotel situated a 15 min walk from the area with shops and restaurants. The only good thing about it's location was that the hop on-off bus stops right at the door. Our suite was large and consisted a bedroom and lounge area. Room was clean but had no fridge. Kettle provided but no tea, coffee or milk.....
"Cheap, basic hotel... but handy for train station."
Checked in mid-late evening in late October, temperature wasn't particularly warm outside but the room was absolutely roasting hot !! Air-conditioning did not appear to be working, upon querying this with reception I was told that it was 'turned off' because it is only available in summer !! Room remained very hot, had to fully open window, which was […] noisy and reduced our privacy as room looked onto other rooms. Room is comfortable enough and clean enough (though not overly so on either point), but very basic. Ok for a quick overnight stay - would not recommend it for longer ! Mehr

"Close to main train station"
This hotel was conveniently located close to the main train station, but far enough away from the main train station that the area was less seedy and it was quiet. It was about a 15 - 20 min walk to the main areas of the city. The hotel staff were polite and helpful, but the hotel bartender was not very friendly at all.

"Nice & affordable hotel near Keleti train station"
Good basic hotel about 10 min walk from Keleti train station. Our room is clean, comfortable, and quiet (facing backyard). Room has a fridge and a small TV. Lots of tourist groups stay here (we met French, Italian, Spanish, Americans, etc). Hotel is about 20-30 min walk to major attractions; the neighborhood however is not lively and full of closed […] shops with empty and broken windows. Rakoczi ut is a major thoroughfare with cars and buses running all hours, so safety is not a concern. Highly recommended if you're on budget! Mehr

Very bad experience. The hotel is awful, too crowded and the rooms are way too old. Towels smell bad and they chenged your reservation preferences without further notice. Avoid staying in this hotel if possible.

Clean and tidy hotel but is somewhat dated as it reminded me of a hotel I stayed at in Yugoslavia in 1986. The rooms are clean, tidy and quite comfortable. We didn't eat there so cannot comment on the food. It's a good 20-25 min walk from the riverside but there are plenty of taxis and buses/trams available. "Good Hotel for Budapest"
Older hotel but well run and everything was always on time and clean. It had a dreary look in a tough neigborhood but had a very reasonable price.
"Convenient Location/Lack of Style"
The hotel is in a very convenient location. Budapest is a beautiful city and there is a great deal to see and enjoy. The hotel is quite spartan and is full of tour groups. The major plus was that the rooms are quiet and you can get a good night's sleep.
"A good bargain"
For the right price this hotel is a good find. It's definitely not luxury (could do with a lick of paint) but transport from the hotel is fantastic. In fact Budapest may look big on a map but in reality its a small place - we walked to the river and back most days and nights. In a safe location too - very happy with the service there.

If you are looking for basic accomodations only 2 blocks from the main train station and a metro stop, this is a good place. The rooms are quite basic, but they are clean, and it's good value for money. There is no fitness center, just sauna, jacuzzi, steam and tanning bed, so don't plan on working out. No irons in the room, but there is an ironing […] room. Unfortunately, the ironing room is also used to do doctors exams some mornings, so we couldn't use it until 1 pm (a bit strange sounding, I know, but true). Even the staff felt funny telling us that when we couldn't get in. With all the rooms in the hotel, why would they use the ironing room to do doctor's exams? Anyway, I still recommend it, as long as you aren't expecting anything impressive. Mehr
"Excellent hotel for the money."
This was a very nice hotel, very clean, modern, and a very freindly and helpful staff. The hotel is excellent however it is a bit of a hike to the downtown. Also, the area you have to walk through is not as nice as those closer to where most the activities are down near the river. We never felt unsafe but there are a lot of empty shops and stores covered […] with graffiti in the immediate area. The hotel is very convienent to the train station, well within walking distance unless you have a lot of luggage. There is also a public bus stop right in front and bus tickets can be purchased in the gift shop making the popular locations only a few minutes away. We would stay there again. The price was great and the hotel itself far exceeded our expectations when considering what we paid. The hotels.com price did not include breakfast which was an extra 10 Euro per day per person. You can probably eat for less at one of the resturants down the street (there are not many in the immediate area) but the hotel's buffet is pretty nice offering a variety of interesting things as well as traditional American and European fare. Pros: Room was clean, decor was tasteful, good water pressure. Cons: Light switch was in the middle of the bottom of the headboard, so if you turn in your sleep light goes on and off. They don't provide any soap or shampoo, just a liquid soap dispenser on the wall of the shower like at a public bathroom, that you have to use as shampoo as well. Staff […] is COMPLETELY unknowledgeable about the area and its public transit options. You have to go to a separate room to do your ironing because they won't bring an iron to the room. Remote control is bolted down and towels are numbered, to make sure you feel like the hotel doesn't trust you. Neighborhood is sketchy. Mehr

Close to the train station. 1 3/4 mile to the Danube and the town center. Hop On Hop Off right in front of the hotel. Very satisfied.

vi var väldigt nöjda med hotellet. Busshållplatsen ligger intill hotellet som tar dig ner till centrum. Biljetter säljs bekvämt på hotellet.

"Poderia ser melhor"
Uma quadra da estação principal de trem, mas o local é mal conservado e sujo. Não é muito próximo do centro. O café da manhã é ruim, não vale a pena. Por ser 4 estrelas poderia ser melhor......
"Best Western Hotel Hungaria Budapest"
Mycket fint och trevligt hotell mitt i händelsernas centrum på Rakoczi utca (vägen) som sträcker sig ända upp till Donaus broar. Gång avstånd ca 40 minuter. En promenad värd att göra. Vi byte upp oss till mini svit och köpte till frukost för 8€ dag/person. STOR frukostbuffé med båda varmt och kallt. Och även ett efterättsbord för den som fortfande är […] hungrig. I Budapest finns mycket att uppleva. Hotellet bokade in oss på Szechényi badet och ordnade taxi. Helt underbar upplevelse att sitta i 38 gradigt vatten utomhus och +9 grader i luften. Budapest är ett underbart resmål. Och man får valuta för pengarna. Mehr

"Hotel Hungaria Budapest"
Nous y avons séjourné 5 jours, l'hotel est gigantesque et pourtant le personnel est très disponible, serviable, souriant. Les chambres sont très propres. (+++) Le bar de l'hotel est sympa, les cocktails y sont à un prix abordable et la serveuse très agréable. Seul petit bémol: une chambre lits séparés au lieu d'un lit double, mais on a rapproché les […] lits, rien de bien grave. L'hötel est un peu éloigné du centre et des activités. Il y a environ 15min de marche pr Andrassy et 25min pr rejoindre les rives du Danube. Métro a proximité cela dit. Mehr

trés bon hotel proche de la gare Keletti, ce qui est un plus quand on fait un tour de plusieur capitale en train. Un grand hotel qui très agréable.
