Das hotel ist sehr günstig gelegen (nah an der metro station 'rome'). der eiffelturm sowie alle anderen wichtigen sehenswürdigkeiten sind maximal in einer halben stunde erreicht. meine freundin und ich hatten ein classic doppelzimmer was von der grösse in ordnung war. der fernseher war klein und wir hatten nur 4 kanäle, was jetzt zwar nicht so tragisch […] war, jedoch schaut jeder abends im bett ab und zu tv oder?? :) das doppelbett war die grösste enttäuschung: es waren 2 einzelbetten die man rollen konnte (sie waren nicht fest am boden montiert) und welche durch ein grosses spannbettlaken zusammengehalten wurden. sonst war eigentlich alles in ordnung. der zimmersafe hat auch funktionniert. jedoch sind uns, ohne jegliche anschuldigungen machen zu wollen, zwei sehr schöne schlüsselanhänger abhanden gekommen. aber belassen wir es jetzt mal dabei. die gesamten essens- sowie getränkepreise sind viel zu teuer!! es gibt einen bäcker und supermarkt direkt um die ecke wo man kostengünstig getränke und morgens ein frühstück besorgen kann :) ein frühstück im hotel kostet nämlich pro kopf 14,50€. die rezeption is durchgängig besetzt und auch immer sehr freundlich. allerdings mussten wir beim auschecken eine aufenthaltssteuer zahlen, eine sogenannte "taxe de séjour". für eine woche betrug sie 25,20€. alles in Allem kann man sagen dass das hotel in ordnung ist. für besichtigungen ist die lage gut. allerdings sind unserer meinung nach 4 sterne zu viel, es ist eher ein 3 sterne hotel. Für unseren spontanen Kurzurlaub brauchten wir ein Hotel in Paris: Einigermaßen Zentral bzw. Die Einrichtung ist Vintage, also ganz klar dass hier und da die Farbe abgeplatzt und das Bad nicht hochmodern ist. Reinigungspersonal waren die freundlichsten und stets alles sauber im Zimmer!!!! Die Lage ist okay, in ca. 15 Minuten ist man direkt in der Stadt. Wir (ein Paar) waren 12 Nächte in diesem Hotel und die ganze Zeit rundum zufrieden. Das Zimmer war zwar nicht sehr groß aber völlig ausreichend und zum Wohlfühlen eingerichtet zudem waren Zimmer und Bad sehr sauber. Die Zimmer haben eine Klimaanlage (hat uns sehr geholfen bei hochsommerlichen Temperaturen) und gut isolierte Fenster, so dass der Geräuschpegel […] der Straßen nicht stört. In der Nähe des Hotels (2 Busstationen oder 10 Min. Laufen) gibt es viele Restaurants, Cafés und Brasserien und die Atmosphäre ist famiilär, studentisch, lebendig (um die Metro-Station Brochant). Das Hotel Villa Eugenie ist meiner Meinung nach schon ganz gut. Es befindet sich in der Nähe von Metro sowie im Stadtzentrum von Paris. Außerdem gibt es auch Supermärkte nicht weit vom Hotel. Das Hotel war sauber und die Rezeptionisten waren freundlich und verstanden Englisch und teilweise sogar Deutsch! Mit der Metro ist das Hotel einigermaßen gut zu erreichen, von der nähesten Station "Rome" ist es ca. 5-10 Gehminuten entfernt. Wenn man kein Problem mit einem sehr sehr sehr abegwohnten Hotel hat, wo Schimmelfugen in der Badewanne umlaufend vorhanden sind, viele mechanische Teile in der Badewanne,etc. nicht mehr funktionieren, der Dreck sehr sichtbar im Bad von der Decke hängt, die Decke sowieso schimmlig und verdreckt ist, eigenartiger Dreck in der Badewanne ist ist das Hotel […] ansich sehr nett. Das badezimmer ist sehr groß dafür das Schlafzimmer sehr klein, auch kein Platz für den Koffer. (Haben wir auf dem Balkon gestellt). Der Preis für das Frühstück 15 Euro ist zu viel.

I was disappointed about my stay, I was expecting much much more from a 4 star hotel. The room was too small, the cleanliness (the carpet had insects), the noise from outside (it's opposite a train station), ... Only the interaction with staff was good, they were friendly and polite.

Reasonably nice hotel. Had difficulty with lights in room and bathroom as the switches had to be coordinated just so to get the lights to come on. The bathroom lights over the sink, the most important ones stayed on for a couple minutes then got too hot and shut off. So no light while at the sink. Hope you can get ready in 3-5 mins. I recommend the hotel to anyone who would appreciate a European-style aspect to their stay in Paris. The hotel is older and has a quaint character to it which would not suit everyone. This was a wonderful find. We first ended up at a horrible shady hotel in the center of Paris and while rather panicked, turned to Expedia and found this absolute gem of a hotel. She is an 'older lady' as some have said, but absolutely charming, clean, comfortable and really pleasant. We read other reviews and decided not to have breakfast at the hotel, but right outside was an amazing bakery (8 Rue Jouffroy d'Abbans) which we went to each morning for breakfast, and the woman working there taught me how to say the names of all the pastries in French. The bathroom was moldy and the tiles were falling off. There were no shower curtains and water could go everywhere outside the bath. The bed was comfortable though. Overall, it was an okay room and the staff were very friendly. I was disappointed because Expedia described the room to be such a luxurious room but it turned out to be quite ordinary.

The hotel is located in a terrible and pretty dangerous area. It looks much more like a hostel rather than a hotel. DEFINATELY NOT A FOUR STARS!! OK for a cheap Paris hotel. Relatively close to metro / Arc de Triomphe etc (can walk there easily), but definitely not more than 3* despite the marketing. No hotel bar or local entertainment to speak of, but Hotel Costes is just a short cab ride away! Friendly, english-speaking staff.

Villa Eugenie is a nice and well-maintained hotel. We are a family of four and it was the only place we found in Paris with beds (not sofa beds) for all of us without paying an arm and a leg. It is a ten minute walk, granted, but if you don't […] like walking, then maybe Paris isn't your city. Others have said the surrounding neighborhood is dicey. While the neighborhood isn't glamorous, it is safe, and if you walk, say, toward Parc Monceau, the neighborhood gets ritzier. (It is a lovely park and there are a number of cute, untouristy restaurants along Rue Legendre.) The only downside is the noise from the adjacent train tracks. If you keep the windows closed (the rooms have A/C), the noise isn't too bad; but if your room faces Rue de Rome and the train lines, and you want the windows open at night, the noise is considerable. There were 7 of us in a family and we had 3 rooms. I would like to have been a little closer to sights but we learned to use the train and metro. Cons: - the noise from the street was constant, […] but I'm not accustomed to listening to traffic at all hours, so that could have just been me - the carpets need to be replaced; they were stained and unappealing, so I kept my flip-flops on at all times - the housekeepers kept forgetting to lock my room after they'd cleaned it - the room safe did not work (so I kept my passport and cash on me at all times) - internet connection was poor at best Pros: - walking distance to everywhere: Sacre Coeur, Cimitiere Montmartre, l'Arc de Triomphe, Tour Eiffel, Place de la Concorde, the Louvre, Moulin Rouge, etc., etc. - clean, comfortable King size bed - clean, large bathroom with tub, decent water pressure, and heated towel rack - windows that open, so I spent rainy days sitting at the window, watching the world go by - absolutely excellent service (except for the housekeepers not locking my room): friendly, helpful, polite, keen to assist however possible If you're not a fancy person and don't need all the bells and whistles, this is the place for you. There were four of us on vacation. When we booked, we were to have two rooms adjacent to each other. When we checked in, they gave us two rooms on separate floors. When we asked about the adjacent rooms, the desk clerk gave me a blank stare and said they don't have any adjacent rooms. Speaking of the rooms, they are run down and old. The wallpaper pattern […] made me nauseous. The bathroom had old water stains in the ceiling, and peeling paint. As far as location goes, the nearest metro station was a little far (about a 10-15 min walk) but otherwise it was easy to get into town to see the sights. One night, we asked for ice and were told they had no ice because someone put a fish on top of it. The breakfast was way overpriced. Unfortunately, my 19 year old son left his wallet in one of the rooms and they are giving me a hard time to send it back, They ask for a credit card number but won't first tell me how much the charge is to send the wallet to me even though I have asked at least a dozen times.
