Sehr schönes Stadthotel von dem aus man alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß erreicht. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist vollkommen ausreichend , sogar mit frischem Obst. Stadtnahes, günstiges Hotel. Allerdings ist das Parken mit etwas den halben Zimmerpreis sauteuer. Ebenso enttäuschend war der Internetanschluss, das Signal in unserem Zimmer am Ende des Ganges mit dem Notebook meiner Freundin gar nicht mehr nutzbar, mit meinem nur sehr eingeschränkt.

I booked this hotel after searching for a long time for a new, clean hotel in Florence, which seemed to be hard to find. When I got there to check in, the front desk clerks seemed to be overwhelmed with answering phones and helping the people in front of me. One of the clerks seemed to be new & unsure of what to do. They were not overly friendly but […] adequate in checking us in. There is no parking at the hotel but there is a garage across the street which costs 20 Euro for 1 day. The hotel seemed clean. Our room was on the 5th floor & we were surprised to see that our view was of Florence & the Dome, which was a nice treat. The location was also ok, as it was a 10-15 min walk to the heart of the historical center. Our room was very clean, but simple. I was happily surprised with the new, modern bathroom which was quite spacious. The only negative was the toilet which had problems flushing. We had to stand there & push the flusher for a few minutes in order for it to work. To do this every time got annoying. But the shower was very nice & clean. We slept very soundly even though the bed was hard. The pillows were awful. Just flat pancakes. But luckily, I had brought mine with me from home. The breakfast the next day was really under par. The croissants were covered in sugar & were really not good. Then I decided to try the cereal, however the milk seemed to be sitting out & it was not cold & had a funny taste to it. The only coffee offered was from one of the instant coffee machines which was a disappointment. But all that said, I feel I got my money's worth. Just don't have super high expectations. Quite a modern style rooms. Reasonable walking distance to the cathedral and to the main train station. Less crowded area with few places to eat out, but Florence is relatively small and can easily walk around. Loved Florence town, so beautiful and very charming streets. You could not actually ask for a better location. I did not have to take any transport to any of the tourist attractions. All of them were only 5-15 minutes walk. The staff were helpful and upon arriving provided us with a map in which they highlighted all of the main tourist attractions. I would stay here again upon returning to Florence.

Hotel Firenze was not exactly super close to downtown, but the fact that it was super clean, the staff was very helpful, breakfast was a great deal and the internet was free with a decent computer to use made up for the walk to the downtown core. This was a great place to stay. The only problem was the phone service was out but a fellow guest called a taxi for us. I would recommend to hotel to all my friends. The location was good and withing walking distance to what we wanted to see and a short taxi ride to the train station.

Reached hotel after a long travel & tired, staff though courteous but took long time to arrange our 2 rooms key codes & then gave one code & paperwork for both the rooms. On returning, they started to argue whose mistake was it with further delays. Rooms were big, spacious & modern but very poor air-conditiong, leaking shower cubicle, no hot water, […] no toiletries except one dispenser in shower cubicle even if you have to wash hands only, all of these were very disappointing. After a day in city we returned at 9pm and door of one room got stuck & would not shut, lady at reception could only come later at 11pm to sort it out as she was the only staff member in B&B. Though it's a B&B but breakfast not included in price and breakfast expensive, you could have breakfast in half of the price outside. Mehr

This place provided very clean, nice, modern rooms for the price. The beds were especially comfy. Everything seemed to run smoothly at this hotel. The only problem was that they forgot to get our passport info at check-in, and then proceeded to knock on our door and call our room numerous times at around 9 in the morning (we were planning on sleeping […] in past that hour). After that, the cleaning lady knocked on our door a few times although we had the "do not disturb" sign up. The check-out time is not clearly stated anywhere, so when we tried to leave at around 12:15 they called our room in a huff and seemed very annoyed that we were leaving just fifteen minutes late. However, I'm making too big of a deal of these small negatives, because overall I enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this place to a friend. :) Mehr

The room we had (a triple) was rather large. The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from the main sites (Ponte Vecchio, Duomo). But: the service was terrible - quite rude at times. The bathroom also had a large strip - about 40 cm x 5 cm - of visible mold. We spent two hours to catch the right bus, and we shouldn't had listened to google map at the first place. There is a bus 23A or 23 will go to the hotel at the left handside of Firenze SMN, it takes about 15 minutes. The place is contemporary and clean, the staffs are helpful and friendly, spoken decent english. We booked a triple room, but they mistakenly […] gave us a king bed. After informed the font desk, they changed the room right away. The petite lady in blonde long hair is extremely helpful and nice. Everything is good except the shower has no certain and it has slow drain, so the water flood out. BUT turn the water down will keep everything under control. There is a good Italian restaurant by the round-about "Trattoria", excellent beef brew. Coop supermarket is 5 minutes away. The hotel is about 20-30 minutes walk to Duomo, but the walk is pleasant as you explore the true neighborhood. There is a #14 (a,b,c) all go to SMN station just 1 minute walk from the hotel. Buy your bus ticket in advance cuz it is hard to find ticket points nearby and during rush hour, the bus is likely to be full, but it runs every 5-10 minutes, so it isn't that bad. Mehr

This hotel was a decent value for the area considering it was clean, inexpensive, and was less than a mile from the center of Florence. Staff: The staff was polite, but not overly friendly or as willing to help as other hotels we had experienced. But they were willing to answer our specific questions, so it was fine. Location: It is about a mile walk […] from Il Duomo. Late at night it is a little dark, but during the day is a very pleasant walk. There is a Coop grocery store around the corner (take a right, then right at the huge arch, then the first left) which had incredibly inexpensive fruit, bread, beverages, etc., but keep in mind there is no fridge in the room. But it was great since there were not too many restaurants nearby. Room: It was a bit sparse and the bathroom was an awkward setup (I believe it was room 216 or 217, which may be more awkward than others). There was no enclosed storage - no closet door or drawers - so all of your items were exposed. The bathroom was the most awkward. The sink was incredibly small and the shelf hung over it, so getting near the sink was a challenge. Also, the shower was quite narrow and had no door (it was enclosed on 3 sides only). Thankfully we were both small/moderately sized - anyone who is broad, tall, or somewhat overweight would've had significant trouble since even I had to turn sideways in order to get elbow room. Additionally, there are no English TV stations (no BBC or CNN) - not a big deal, but something to mention. Mehr

We stayed at this hotel on the 9th & 10th of Sept, 2011. We definitely were not impressed with the hotel or service. Our room, a double, was barely large enough to move around. The bed basically filled the room and so you would have to use the wall or bed as support as you moved to your side of the bed. The bathroom was so tiny that in the shower I […] could not lift my arms above my head without hitting either side of the walls (I have to add that I am not a large person; i am rather small and the shower was too small for me). The sink in the bathroom was so tiny and had a larger shelf over the top that made it very difficult to adequately use! We had a double room but the room came with one plastic glass. I asked for another and was told the hotel did not have any other glasses. We asked for an extra pillow as the pillows were very small and were told the hotel did not have any extra pillows. The carpeting in our room was extremely stained with large stains surrounding the bed. When we first checked in, I walked through the room with my shoes off and ended up with a large ball of hair around my toes which was not my hair. Breakfast was nothing to write home about and I would not recommend this hotel. Mehr

Great location for very low price, 5-10 minute walk into the heart of downtown Florence. Air conditioning worked very well. Room was tiny, barely anywhere to put our bags (other than on the bed). Little night table (no desk). Hotel is terribly understaffed for how busy it is. There was only one poor lady (who was very helpful) to deal with many customers. […] I phoned down for extra towels and she said I had to come get them myself because she couldn't leave the desk. Bed was comfortable, but with no screen on the window, lots of bugs got in at night (I need fresh air to sleep, so had to leave windows open). No fridge. Don't buy drinks or water at the hotel, walk for a couple minutes and save lots of money. Room was fairly clean, but sheets (specifically the mattress cover) were dirty. We found the front desk staff very unwelcoming on the day of our arrival. Didn't get much help trying to log on to a computer using their 'Wifi'. I was not impressed when I was asked for 3 euros/person/night, when the law states 1(one euro). When I questioned that, the staff member insisted that she was correct, and I was misinformed. My fiance and I are fairly well-traveled, so we managed to find the hotel on our own using the city buses. We liked the room and the staff was friendly and helpful (and spoke good English). We only stayed one night but would consider going back the next time we are in Florence. It was a nice walk to many of the big sights of the city.

The hotel is near all major attractions (approx 15min walk) good exercise after enjoying all the delicious food!! The room was very nice, cozy, very clean air conditioned and had a balcony with a fantastic view! The staff were always very nice, friendly and very helpful...always with a smile! This hotel was the worst experience ever for our Europe trip. First off the receptionist did not speak English we had a hard time communicating with them. They even hung up on me when I complain about how slow the Internet was...their response I don't understand I don't speck English...click! Second I read reviews that they have high speed Internet […] it's more like dial up or even worst...when we first arrive my husband and I was wondering why everyone was in the hotel lobby all the time...we finally figured out why it was because the room Internet was so slow they had to go to the lobby to even use the Internet. location its about 20-30 min walk to a plaza or tourist area. Lastly the air condition in our room was linking water and the most important that people need to know about there is no shower door so water will be splash everywhere on the floor after you shower. The customer service of the front desk was so poor. I have stayed in several places in Florence and have never been treated as such. The shower wasn't draining on our first night so we called the front desk he came to look at it but said the house keeping would fix it the next day. He would try to change our rooms but he wasn't sure. Next day same shower […] problems, and it was raining. This hotel is far from all the sites walking distance if you like to walk (we don't mind). I asked the front desk if it was to rain the whole day and if he knew where I could be get an umbrella. In a rude fashion told all day and NOPE! :( So sad Florence really has gone down hill from the last time we were there 4 years ago. Save your money and go to Naples instead, Pompeii is gorgeous. ;) Breakast was okay & beds were comfy! Mehr

Being on a budget, I was happy to find B &B Hotels. I was afraid of some of the reviews that said there was bad service, but when we got there I was pleasantly surprised. No, the service wasn't the most friendly nor did the receptionists speak the best English, but we got by. The room was great, really big and spacious and clean as well. The best part […] was the view, since its a little ways outside of the center of the city, we had amazing views of the Duomo and surrounding areas. Although the hotel is a little bit far from the train station, it is not a far walk from the city center and there is a bus stop right around the corner. I did note there seemed to be a warmer perhaps for boiled eggs or similar but never saw any food in it. staff were friendley spoke English and were very helpful with booking tours, internet access etc. Bit of a walk from the city centre where the rail station is if you are carting luggage but fineto walk from here […] for site seeing. I was way impressed with this hotel for the price - it was the cheapest hotel we stayed at in our 9 nights in Italy and was very modern, clean, and friendly. It was a bit away from the center, but only a 15 minute walk or so from most of the major sites (Accademia, Duomo, etc.) I would definitely without question stay here again.
