Other than the green pool and the puddle of urine on/infringement of the door of the room next-door, it was a typical no-frills motel. Very conveniently located near the Craneway Pavilion. Don't expect luxury from this motel and you won't be disappointed.

nothing special but an adequate place to stay. close to shopping and freeway. room was nice next time i will get a room more suited for handicap but thats my fault. other than that it was a nice stay.

no ice machines, screens that look like they have been pried off. horrible desk staff. horrible..

Where do I start. No toiletries. Refrigerator smells. Carpet was stained. Lingering odor. Gap in the bottom of the door so we had to crank up the heat to stay warm. Small bathroom that needs an update (the toilet seat was stained and had cracks). We are checking early because the condition is awful. DO NOT STAY HERE.

By far, the worst hotel/motel I've ever stayed in. Greeted by a bug (yes, a bug) in the bed. Not bed bugs, but a large insect of some kind, as well as a big hairball in the bedding. There's more to report, but I'll leave it at that. ABSOLUTELY horrendous...not sure how they even got one star!

this hotel need a lot of work

Good place for the money

Basic, clean lodging. Neighborhood isn't that great, but it did the job. We were attending an event at The Greek, this was much cheaper than what was available at Berkeley. Overall an average motel with an average experience

wireless Lan in room didnt work, run down premises, pool dirty

The hotel was noisy with room parties on either side of me. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows, well, I guess that is what they were. The room needed refurbishment and the freeway noise & railroad horns a bother. Unless you need to be by a freight yard, look elsewhere.

This place is very bad! do not stay here!!!! We stayed at this days inn 10/2 had resavations for 2 nights but left after the frist night.. Front desk lady was not very nice, got our keys and went to the room got a couple of our suitcases in and the door shut and would not reopen after 2 trips to the front desk atendent had to come up and reprogram the […] locks. floor looked like it hadnt been vacumed, wallpaper was peeling off walls in numerous places , handles on the dressers falling off. ice machine not working , pool had a leak " you cant use pool has leak" . what appeared as 2 hookers were working the rooms. could smell pot being smoked in down stairs rooms. towels were gray and thread bare and you still felt wet after drying off. Bathroom had mold in it , only had 1 platic cup for water. Wife found hair on her bath towel. No shampoo in room and 1 small bar of soap. We had 2 half rolls of toilet paper. upon checking in some guy was renting a room for a couple of hours, "you know for me and my girl". Tried to get extra towels "Come back at midnight" upon leaving son went back to room to retrive phone charger and found that the lock on the door stopped working All in all this place SUCKS!!!!!!!!!! Staff was very helpful and nice. Room itself was less than to be desired. Toilet seat was broke and the toilet backed up. Was a lot of noise from other guests. Not happy at all. Would not stay there again

The front desk lady was rude. The maid service bothered us very early. There were no do not disturb signs in the room. The bath shower kept clogging up. Took very long for towels and when we recieved them, they were all un folded.

I arrived at the hotel to find out one of the 2 rooms I had reserved was not showing available in their system although I had reservation confirmation. After 10 mins of dicussion the attendant confirmed both rooms. The neighborhood is not that great and close to a factory and some storage. The rooms are decent...though noticed wallpaper coming off […] from some corners. The ice vending wasn't working. The continental breakfast ...nothing fancy ...donuts, bread , milk /cereal etc....although noticed juice and milk being served straight from the container they came from the market .... Overall I would recommend this to someone on a tight budget. Mehr

Room was not very clean. Dirt on floor and bathroom door. No shampoo and conditioner. No soap replaced for second night. Neither was the decaf coffee replaced. Breakfast area was spacious enough, but the choices were meager at best. Toast, jam and butter, mini muffins, coffee, (the hot water for tea was cold) skim milk and sunny D. It was pretty much […] finished around 8 am, although breakfast is offered until nine. Evening receptionist not very friendly. Internet was out for the weekend. No bathrooms in the lobby. I was ready to write an outstanding review for this hotel but the maid service woke us at 9AM to clean our room and we had checked in after midnight. We said we were sleeping. When we returned back at 8PM the 2nd night we found that the maid NEVER returned. I called the front desk and asked for clean towels cuz we had NONE. I was told that none existed […] until the next day - NOT ACCEPTABLE. I asked for the manager and was told she would be in around 6AM. I called at 6:20 and was told the manager was ill and would not be in for 5 days. I explained the situation and the clerk said the night clerk should have given me towels and brought us some right away. Mehr

No way to keep noise from Hwy 101 from blasting us out of sleep, even with the NONWORKING A/C on high. Breakfast was ridiculous, with no juice, no milk, no fruit, and stale bread. Icemaker doesn't work, shower is mist rather than shower. Avoid at all costs.

The room was terrible. I ordered non smoking and it smelled like a smoking room so bad i could barely breath. Holes in the towels, sheets blankets, and even a wall. bed is sunk in the middle. pillows were flat and hard. carpet was rippled. It was horrendous. I would not recommend this hotel. when I saw the hotel on the internet it appear clean and acommadating. when we arrived i notice that the ground, pool, customer service and room service up keep was poor. there was roaches in the room. the hotel did not have enough towel for the guess. when i ask for my money back they decline my request. i reccommend that anyone who is considering […] booking this hotel not to do so; you deserve better for the amount of money they charge Mehr

I called the morning of check-in and there was no answer, no voicemail, nada. I double-checked the number and called back a 1/2 hour later. A woman answered, and barked in annoyance: "Hello!” That's it. After confirming that I had indeed called the Days Inn, I asked when I could check-in. I was told 2pm (this is also stated on my room confirmation from […] Hotels.com). I arrived at the motel at 5:30pm, checked-in at the front desk and hiked to my room at the far corner of the complex. I arrived at the door of the room to view two women still cleaning. Most of the furniture was pulled out from the walls, and the floor of this room was COVERED with a combination of food and trash. The walls were filthy with spills/smears. Words can’t describe the absolute horror I felt at the prospect of occupying this room. The cleaners assured me it would take five minutes to complete the process. I responded incredulously that the state of that room could only be improved by fire. I called the front desk from the room phone and told them of the situation. I was told to come back to the office and they would figure it out. By the time I arrived, the front desk person announced -- as if doing me a favor! -- that they would happily cancel my reservation. As I was dropped off by friends, had no car, and now in the middle of nowhere, I explained to her I had no means to go anywhere else. To this, I was assured that my crack-den room would be as good as new if I could be patient. I finally got back to this room at 6:20pm. The room still reeked, and still had debris littering the floor, but I had to shelve my repulsion and scramble to get ready for a concert at the Craneway Pavilion. I was late to the show because of the Days Inn debacle and missed most of a family-member’s performance. In the morning, I was dismayed to discover the carafe of the coffee maker missing and called the front desk to deliver a replacement. We booked a non smoking room, the one we were in had a non smoking sign, but the strong smoking smell all over. We will never come to that hotel any more.

The wireless Internet was very spotty and dropped me a lot of times.

The owners of this place need to look at it in the daylight. There's all this trash blowing into the pool fence-pick it up. Kinda ghetto. The people working here were nice though. They have a pretty decent breakfast in the morning. The price was ok for what it was. They could probably put some money into painting the place top to bottom, repave the […] parking lot and re-landscape and then be able to raise there rates a bit. It needs some help, the staff is friendly so I'd go back if I were ever in the area again. Oh, and they need to replace their towels ASAP. They were all old, stained and threadbare. It worked for me. I needed to be in Marin County and staying on the east side of the bay saved me alot. I just had to break with the bridge toll. This motel is basic and needs a fresh coat of paint and a lot of other stuff. The staff is friendly and hospitable, especially the lady at the front desk during the day. I liked the TV channel selection, the continental breakfast and coffee in the morning and being able to use the computer in the lobby. I didn't like the fact that WIFI didn't work, the pool looked like a swamp and the carpet in my room was way past the point of needing to be replaced. This place looks horrendous from the street. Lots of parking near the rooms. Pool looks like its permanently closed. Tons of trash piling up and blowing around. Once you get into your room its not so bad. Really quiet, spacious rooms for a motel. Well equiped with m/wave and refrig. Good a/c. The Days Inn Point Richmond is really a good value hotel but you have to overlook the deferred maintenance of the place. It's in need of some serious upgrading. The lady who runs the front desk is really sweet and accommodating. The rooms are a decent size and many have microwaves and small refrigerators. The hotel is very poorly maintained, (ie pool was green, grounds sloppy and room was at best ok nothing special. The big complaint is the front desk clerk she was extremely rude and lazy. When asked about wifi and local restaurants in the area she said look it up in the phone book. Would not stay their again..

Sounded OK for price on Hotels.com but it was AWFUL! No hot water for 2 days, no internet for most of 4-day stay, Ice machine did not work, vent over over backroom fan was lying on the floor, ripped wallpaper, mold in shower, broken safety door latch, broken spring in matrtress, no stopper in sink, and the list goes on. Front desk personnel made promises […] but never followed thru on any of my concerns. When we arrived on Monday someone had summped a huge heap of trash in the middle of the parking lot. This mess was still there when we checked out 3 days later. This was guaranteed rate stay so the desk clerk refused to refund any cancellation. Since there were no other hotels with available rooms in the area we had to stay there the entire 4 days. This place was just too awful for words. I couldn't believe a hotel of this lost standard was even listed on Hotels.com. Oh, and the downstairs tennarts who I later found out lived there on a long term basis partied every night in the parking lot with their loud music. I called the hotel desk and they took no action I love Hotels.com and have booked numerous hotels thru them. I will continue to do so because this is the first negative hotel experience I've had with them In fact, I called customer service after checking out and they were very apologetic and promised to investigate. The ice machine didn't work. The shower didn't work. The towels were rough not soft..and no espn sports center on tv and no help from front desk on channel listings..Supposedly they change from cable to sat....

Much improved from my stay last year carpets a little old and stained lots of hot water

I have stayed in 2 star places before and found them quite nice and clean. I dont know how the star rating works but this place doesn't deserve any in my opinion. The hotel grounds were dead from lack of water, the dead shrubs and planters filled with litter. The pool was green and not useable. The rooms were stained with things you didnt even want […] to think about the possability of what it could be. The lobby the next morning where the continental breakfast was being served was filthy. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I also have pictures of things besides what Ive listed that just are to unpleasant for even a review. Mehr
