Best Western Hotel Kampa - Prag

Man muß darauf bestehen, keine einfacheren Zimmer zu bekommen als man bezahlt hat. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist manchmal halb leer, manchmal gut. Die erstklassige Lage macht alles wieder gut.

Ein angenehmes und sauberes Hotel in unmittelbarer Nähe der Altstadt bzw. wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten..

Das Hotel ist sehr angenehm. Gutes Frühstück, sauber, leise und freundlich. Aufgrund des tollen Wetters haben wir ein wenig die Klimaanlage vermißt. Aber es gab zwei große Fenster, die man öffnen konnten. Unser Zimmer war zur Parkseite und sehr ruhig! Geschirr und Besteck waren genug vorhanden, eindecken mußten wir uns einmal aber selber. Frühstück […] ist richtig gut. Alles war vorhanden und frisch, bzw. heiß. Die Lage des Hotels ist super! Wir konnten von dort aus alles zu Fuß erreichen. Die Seilbahn wie auch die Karlsbrücke in 10 min. In dem 5 min Umkreis gibt es richtig gute Restaurants! Nicht so teuer wie in der Alstadt, sehr gutes Essen und Bier :o) Empfehlen kann ich hier besonders das Stara Praha aber auch auch das Olympic. Alles im Allen das richtige Hotel für einen Großstadtbesuch! VB Mehr

Das Hotel ist sehr nett. Gute Idee mit dem Mittelalterstil. Ansich war das Personal sehr freundlich, die Zimmer waren sauber, das Frühstück war gut. Es war alles da was zu einem guten Frühstück dazu gehört. Sehr gute Lage, man kann alles zu Fuss super erreichen! Einige Punkte habe ich abgezogen, da ich schon in bessern 4 Sterne Hotels übernachtet habe, […] dafür aber auch mehr bezahlt habe. Preisleistung ist super! Generally an OK place, whatever they use for disinfectant smells horrible BUT the restaurant was very nice, the overall hotel was good, location is very atrractive for touristing. Only real bother was the smell, everything else was pretty good for,a hotel in this price range. I would stay there again, as it is a good value for the money.

this hotel is in a back street not far away from the centre of prague. it is not affected by traffic noise which leads to nights of peaceful sleep but also very convenient to travel to the prague attractions. the tram system in prague is very efficient and highly recommended.

The hotel is ranked 4 stars, but feels something like 3.5 stars. Our stay has been comfortable, and satisfactory. Room is nice, and well equipped. Breakfast is included and serves a variety of cold and hot food. It is not close to metro station, but quite conveniently served by several lines of tram. But we do the walking anyway to most of the sights. […] If you ask the airport transportation service, they will direct you to take a bus then transfer to a tram to get to the hotel. It's easier than we expected. The hotel is situated in a side street, which could be a bit quiet when you walk back at night. The hotel staff are helpful. They let us store our luggage when we went off to Cesky Krumlov and also helped us print off the flight boarding pass, for which I am very grateful. Yes, it is a good hotel. Mehr

China southern airline lost my luggage and the staff at the hotel helped me a lot to track my luggage. Breakfast was wonderful and it included everything you could imagine. Walking distance from all historic places.

We were a group of 3 couples that stayed in the hotel for two nights late in February 2012. We choose the hotel because of its decoration that was quite different and we were not disapointed. The rooms were very clean and the staff was nice and helpful. The location was perfect with bars and restaurants a few steps away. Nice walk to Charles bridge […] and another bridge that took us to the Vasclav square. Easy access from the airport with bus no. 119 (20 minutes) and tram no. 20 (also 20 minutes) at a total cost of 20 Kc. We are happy to recommend this hotel and we will probably stay here again. Mehr

Big old solid building in the back streets 5 minutes walk from Charles bridge. Quiet area...a bit hard to find initially. Big dining room and easy to help yourself breakfast. Close to bars and restaurants on that side of the river and away from tourist hub bub. Staff friendly and helpful. No real problems, does what a hotel is meant to do.

Great little hotel in great location. For the price this is a very nice hotel,within easy walking distance to all attractions. Room was ok but bed was very hard,and could have done with another pillow,but to be fair suppose I should have asked for one. I would probably still go back there regardless.

Hotel is placed in nice quiet location from where is not fare any part of Prag. I had only a little problem after arrival at the hotel with reservation, but thanks to hotel manager we resolved it quickly.. Best part of hotel is restaurant, for sure... A++ Finaly my rating is 70%

Very good location and friendly staff. Unfortunately the beds were so hard with old flat pillow that we hardly slept all night! Breakfast was poor. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again.

Not a 4 star, but great location and we enjoyed the breakfast. Staff was very helpful. This hotel is a great value in my opinion.

My wife & I stayed here on our first visit to Prague. We both agree it was a lovely hotel, the reception & restaurant staff were pleasant & helpful at all times. We stayed on a B&B package & found the breakfasts were of an excellent standard with hot choices but also a large range of other cold meats,cereals & fruits to choose from. The room was spacious,well […] furnished & comfortable. The hotel was well situated for the main attractions of Prague, all were within easy walking distance. reception excellent dining area and bar cold areas location fantastic arrived by taxi triple a cost 200kc hotel booked taxi for return / ripped off and caused stress at the end of a great stay / we were warned of cowboy taxis but did not expect the hotel to book us one. double the cost and caused us problems. obviously the hotel must be on back handers. […] / shame about this as the hotel was great. Very close to Prague airport - as a Bostonian, I can handle a bus, tram, and trolley ride to access the hotel (~30-45 min. or so). Location is right near the Charles Bridge, in the old historic section of Prague (Mala Strana). Restaraunts and bars (which are good too, i might add) are right around the corner. Walking down the cobblestone street to the […] hotel at night was beautiful, it's something that you don't get as an American. Maybe except for Beacon Hill in Boston, which is not a vacation spot! In terms of comfort, the hotel room was very cozy. The bed was rock hard, and the pillows were extremely soft. Staff was extremely nice, and got you everything you needed. They can speak English as well, though I tried testing the very little Czech I know on them! All in all, a great place to stay to check out the Czech! Mehr

The hotel entrance was worrying (broken sign, not very clean floor...), but then the room was clean and large enough for two. 90% of Prague sights are within comfortable walking distance (5 to 20 minutes). Cable car to beautiful Petrin hill, at 1 minute walk. Very nice breakfast room, with medieval arms at the walls. Receptionists are kind and helpful; […] especially Jan: witty and sympathetic. Staff and service was excellent! Great location near the Vltava River. Best of all was the breakfast. We highly recommend this hotel as we had a fantastic time there!

Very small rooms without air conditioning. Requests in the reservation not satisfied. Poor breakfast. Unprofessional staff. Not worth the 4 stars or being a best western...

I'm not sure when location bumped a hotel rating up so much, but while the location was solidly convenient (albeit, a bit trapped in the Old Town and therefore touristy portion of Prague), the actual hotel was no more than your average 2.5 star hotel in America. Now, does that mean you shouldn't stay here? No, it is perfectly fine if you're not gonna […] spend much time in the room, are able to roll with an obscenely small shower space, etc. They are minor inconveniences, to be sure, nothing that ruined our stay, but while we were out, and contemplated going back to the hotel to rest up a bit, the thought of going back to the dark, small, somewhat dank room was the first and only time on our European trip where we elected NOT to go home. Again, not at ALL a "bad" place, and this isn't an angry review at all. Simply a caution to those who see 4-stars and imagine marble floors, spacious, well-appointed bathrooms, comfy bed and fluffy pillows. This place was.... a Best Western. Those who are familiar with Best Westerns know what to expect. In America, there is not a chance you'll see it rated as a 4-star hotel.... so stay here, it's a great location, everyone is friendly, etc, just don't be duped by the 4-star rating is all. Mehr

Away from the surge of tourists on a back street in Mala Strana yet not far from the Charles Bridge, shorter if you walk through Kampa Park. Helpful, friendly staff, even had tram tickets for sale. Only downside regarded towels. As instructed, we left our towels hanging because we would re-use. But when we returned to the room, towels were folded in […] the towel rack. The Hotel was very central with courteoius staff, room good size, all in all I would highly recommend it.

The staff was really nice. The hotel offers breakfast that is beyond my expectations in comparison to other Prague hotels. Includes fresh fruits and veggies which is a "must have" for me. Would recommend this hotel. It's in the most beautiful part of town -Mala Strana.

This hotel was very adequate to our needs with our short (3 days) visit to Prague. The room was very clean. The beds were a bit hard, but comfortable enough. The breakfast buffet provided, while not as good as some hotels we stayed in during our trip, was good and filled us up nicely for a day of sightseeing.

This hotel was in a great location to easily walk to destinations on both sides of the river. Our room had a view on the Castle and was very comfortable. The staff was nice and helpful. The decor is fun with a mideval theme.

This hotel was very good. We arrived in Prague from Amsterdam. Our luggege was lost in flight. The people from the Helpdesk was very helpfull and we recover our luggege the same day. The hotel is very clean, room very spacious and the breakfast was great. The location was excellent. There are several small private own restaurants near by. I just reread the old reviews of this hotel and I can't believe we stayed at the same hotel. Hotel staff spoke very poor English and were not friendly or helpful at all. One never smiled! The room was small, with 2 twin beds, but we expected that in Europe, so that was no big deal. It was very clean. However, the bathroom smelled like sewer. It was […] very hot when we were there. The hotel brochure stated we should call down to the main desk for a fan if we were very hot, as there was no air conditioning in our room. When I did that, they informed me there was no fan---except for a fan in the bathroom!!! But the bathroom smelled like sewer, so we didn't want to open that door!! Nice neighborhood--about a 10-15 min walk to Charles Bridge, but not convenient if we wanted to drop things off in the middle of touring. Overall, a big disappointment. Mehr

Et helt standard bra hotell til Praha å være. Ingen store ting hverken ene eller andre veien. Bra beliggenhet og bra frokost. Stille og rolig, men brukbart sentralt. Ikke særlig futt i betjeningen som besto av alvorlige unge menn, men det hadde vi ikke bruk for heller. Kan trygt anbefales..

Hotellets läge är i det närmaste perfekt, nära till karlsbron och det fantastiska muséet på Kampa. Kvarteren runt hotellet är också trevliga. Hotellet i sig är rent och snyggt. Rolig inredning och bra hjälpsam personal. Vi stannade tre nätter och var väldigt nöjda. Något hårda sängar men vi kommer nog bo på hotellet nästa gång vi besöker Prag. Vackert hotell med högklassig service. Underbar frukostbuffe som ingår i priset. Mycket trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Det enda negativa var att sängarna är stenhårda. Gav inte mycket vila.
