Best Western Tampa - Tampa

Der Dale Mabry Hwy liegt zwischen Downtown Tampa un St. Petersburg. Alles ist also mit dem Auto schnell zu erreichen, wenn auch die Umgebeung des Hotel selbst wenig ansprechend ist. Komfort und Sauberkeit entsprechen der der üblichen Mittelklasse-Ketten.

Gute Lage um die Umgebung zu erkunden. Zimmer sind geräumig und gut eingerichtet. Frühstück ist sehr gut mit frischen Waffeln.

Wir hatten nichts am Hotel auszusetzen. Für die Kategorie vollkommen in Ordnung. Frühstück war OK. Schnelles Internet war auch kostenlos vorhanden. Kostenlose Parkplätze gab es direkt am Hotel und die Mitarbeiter waren auch sehr freundlich. Falls wir wieder mal auf der Durchreise sind, könnten wir uns vorstellen es wieder zu buchen.

I have often stayed at Best Western Hotels, and almost always make my reservation through hotels.com. However, when I got to this hotel they told me they could not honor my reservation for a king size bed in a non-smoking room, and could not honor my request for a non-smoking room at all. We ended up staying at a different hotel.

Needed an inexpensive hotel close to U of Tampa. This was right down the road and very reasonable. Free wi fi and decent breakfast. It fit the bill. I found the bed a little too firm, but my son slept well. I'd stay here again.

Location is good with plenty of restaurants in the area. The rooms were clean and carpet was clean. There were tons of smaller kids in the hotel on spring break, and they never ever bothered us sleeping. Breakfast was ok, nothing special nothing horrible either. Was looking for an affordable, over-night stay prior to a cruise. Hotel just o.k.; clean enough, but could use an upgrade. Receptionist was clueless when I asked for recommendations for eating besides the IHOP that was next door. Would I stay there again? Probably not. I'd pay the extra to stay closer to the cruise line dock and save on the taxi money […] that it cost me to get there the next day. Mehr

Felt a little older and kind of a stale smell throughout but a great deal for the price. Would stay there again. Breakfast was also a nice bonus since they had a waffle maker.

Loved it. Friendly, clean and pretty! Gave us early check in with no questions asked.

Overall okay; local area is very commercial. No hot water for showers in morning (around 9 am). Hotels.com advertised "Pet Friendly", but was told that they are no longer pet friendly and were going to let our dog stay, but would be charging $15. The next morning, after I complained about no hot water, the $15 was forgotten.

Comfortable bed, acceptable food, breakfast area a bit small, overall positive feeling about the place. Would stay again.

Older hotel but it was clean reasonably priced and staff was friendly

i stayed here with my sister for two nights while we visited friends in tampa. the place was clean, easy to find, and the staff was friendly. oh and the bkfst was fine as well. two thumbs up.

Great for the price and location, but, the beds are uncomfortable, breakfast sucks, hot water is not very hot. I would recommend if only staying a night or two.

The hotel staff is very friendly and made our trip very enjoyable.

Prepaid for stay on 12/9. Arrived 1/12. Discovered (by accident, 6 hours later) that my debit card, turned in for "incidentals...don't worry, there won't be any charges unless you incur incidentals and only at checkout", was charged for the entire cost of the stay, IMMEDIATELY! I came down to the room at 4:30pm to find out why on Earth I had been charged […] for a prepaid stay. I was told "Well, I don't really know but it happens, sometimes". I went back up, called to have my spouse take money out of one account to hopefully prevent fees. He did that. At 5pm, I went back to my account and found that they had charged the entire prepaid stay TWICE that morning! I was told, "I really don't have an answer for why that happened". So, I was charged 2x for a prepaid stay BY THE MANAGER who was not even apologetic about it. Bathroom sink would not drain. We eventually had to brush our teeth and spit in the toilet so as to not make it any more gross than it was in the sink. There were blood stains on the sheets on my daughter's bed. They looked bright red so no one changed bedding between customers. Other than those (major) issues, it was ok. The breakfast in the morning was nice, though the juice machine was out of order the entire 4-day stay because "it's a new machine and we only have the stuff for making juice in the other machine". There were fresh waffles, hard-boiled eggs, pastries, cereal, fruit, bagels, oatmeal (plain only, all 4 days) and toast. The coffee could probably double for roofing tar but when the French Vanilla was added, it was good, and that's saying something since I normally like strong BLACK coffee (very rare for me to add anything). The food was kept well-stocked, continually. Other than the incompetent manager, the rest of the staff was pretty nice. Room comes with coffee maker, fridge and microwave. Mehr

Fair for the price , nice service , clean and quiet room ,I really recommend this hotel, the breakfast (included in the price room was good) I 'll be there next year!

This hotel was well worth the price. Very inexpensive and well maintained. Very nice staff and very helpful. Will definitely use again!!

Rooms were nice & clean. However couldn't get any hot water to take a shower with!! I got warmer water out of the sink and washed off in the sink. All this when it was about 32 degrees. Not happy with not having hot water!

The staff was great. I'm a bike rider and I found a great place to ride, about four miles away on Bayshore Drive. Lots of runners there as well.

We recently stayed at the Bestern Western in Tampa for the Outback bowl. We arrived to the hotel late in the evening and was pleastantly surprised that the King size room we booked, was over booked and we had to take the Jacuzzi tub king size room. Oh Darn! lol. The hotel staff was very friendly and it we even enjoyed the complimentary breakfast the […] next morning. We would stay here again! Mehr

The courtesy, friendliness, and helpfulness of the staff at this establishment was excellent. I notice consistency with the staffing throughout our stay, so we felt like we were "known". My daughter, her two children and I stayed there for an extended stay (7 nights, 8 days). The rooms have a kitchenette with an adequate size freezer in the larger size […] mini-fridge. The breakfast each morning was good. The laundry facilities were very helpful and in good working condition. The kids liked having Cartoon Network. The location was close to and accessible to all the main highways/routes to Clearwater Beach, Orlando, and areas of Tampa. When we went to the beach, the staff provided us with extra towels and even an old sheet to use as a blanket at the beach. The location was also surrounded by every type of service and business needed - restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, activities (movies/bowling, etc...), a large mall, drug stores, red boxes, and even an emergency care facility close at hand. They were receptive to the presence of young children. We did a lot of activities in the room and there was adequate space for 2 adults and 2 children - great drawer space so we didn't have to live out of suitcases. The internet connection was very good - not only WIFI, but a plug in connection which I used with my netbook, allowing me to work so that I came back to a much smaller backlog than I would have otherwise. We will be staying here again when we next go to visit the grandchildren. It was a warm, friendly home away from home for either a long or shortterm stay. Mehr

We stayed here pre and post cruise, as did many other guests. Nice staff, comfortable room, good breakfast, friendly guests .. everyone going on or coming back from a holiday. Lots of eateries in all price categories within easy walking distance (2 blocks or so).

You pay for what you get ... but it got the job done.

My family and I recently checked into this hotel. The lobby was modern and very clean. We got to our first room which was not as nice as the hotel it smelled like urine. We then asked to be switched to another room and it didn't have an ordor it was clean. We left out for dinner and sight seeing and later that evening were getting ready for bed when […] my daughter showed me her arm had a rash. She sat at the desk in the room and told my husband there was a small bug so he killed it thinking it was a fruit fly. Then she called us both over and there was a desk full of small crawling bugs. We immediately packed family up and told front desk. They stated they looked like ants. Well I have seen a lot of ants and never saw any that looked like that. My daughter still has the rash not sure if the bugs bit her or what the bugs are but will never stay in that area again.. I am still in process of getting a refund. Mehr

The only reason I gave the comfort a 4 is because the bed was way too hard for me. But I had three really comfortable pillows and that helped. The hotel staff was wonderful and the complimentary breakfast was better than most. I came down just 30 minutes before it was over and all the food was still stocked and we didn't have to miss out on anything […] because we decided to sleep in late. Mehr

clean, ok, not fancy but we stayed one night before a cruise. location easy to find, easy to get dinner, hotel staff friendly, price certainly good. would stay again.

This is a very simple, nice, clean hotel and the location is perfect for mixing buiness with pleasure. Easy access to all major highways also makes it easy to get where you need to go. The rates are also very reasonale and I will use this hotel again. in the future.

the hard-rock bed hehe it was a really unconfortable matress but no other complaints, the room was clean the people were very nice and although is a simple hotel it is very clean =]

This was a great hotel. The room was very nice. The bed was a little harder than I was use to, but I slept like a rock, so it was fine. The breakfast was the typical continental type. Bagels, toast, hard boiled eggs, cereal, and fresh waffels. The staff there was very helpful and pleasent. The hotel had a washer and drier, which was helpful if you need […] to do laundry half way through your stay.It was a little difficult to get into the one drive way that they had to go into and out of the hotel, durning afternoon traffic. However, It was a very quiet place to stay and I felt safe as a single, traveling woman, staying there. I would definately stay there again. Mehr

THE STAFF WAS VERY POLITE AND HELPFUL, AND THE FACILITY WAS CLEAN. I WOULD DEFINITELY STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN.
