SpringHill Suites by Marriott Austin Northwest/Arboretum - Austin

What was good: The room was big, clean, and quiet. Although the hotel is right next to a busy highway, and our room faced it, it was very quiet and that helped us to relax. The staff was friendly. The location was convenient to everything we needed on our trip to Austin. What could have been better: The hotel staff liked to knock on our door earlier […] than we would have liked - they usually started knocking to service our room at around 9 am, on a weekend. In my mind, it's a little aggressive on the part of the room staff to be entering your room that early in the morning. All in all, a very nice stay. Mehr

The room was clean, inviting, HUGE, and was perfect for what we needed. The room had a hallway from the door to the kitchen, and the bed was at the very back of the room, so it was relatively quiet. However, the bed was so soft that we had a difficult time sleeping. The hotel was close to Mopac, 183, and relatively close to I-35 (via Mopac and 183). […] Only 25 minutes to downtown, and only 20 minutes to Cedar Park, so it was in just the right location for what we wanted. Breakfast included the standard juice bar, cereal boxes, bagels/bread, but also oatmeal, scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon, tortillas, cheese, salsa, and a waffle iron. Seating was hard to come by, but not bad for a free meal. The snack bar/pantry was heavily overpriced, but I think that's true of every hotel now. Staff was courteous, though a little loud at the front desk with personal conversations. Overall, I'd stay there again next time. Mehr

not a fan of in wall (below window) hvac units. blows across the bed area, for one, are often harder to regulate when the weather's between seasons (warm then cool), as it was in march.

great place. very SLOW to clean the rooms. 4-5pm on one day

I was expecting a little more from breakfast. The waffles looked good but the eggs looked like pancakes. There was hot oatmeal which I didn't try. Nice selection of juices.

Our room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. It was very quiet and we were able to get a very restful night's sleep. We stayed three nights and every night was quiet. Breakfast was good--waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits, bagels, muffins, fruit, oatmeal, juices and coffee.

Location is perfect for my business trips. Clean, comfortable. Good breakfast with self serve waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, tortillas, fruit, juice and whatnot. The a/c was a bit noisy, but not bad.

The hotel was clean, nice and comfortable. Breakfast was good and stocked well. The service was great also.

The site agent had guaranteed adjoining rooms but when I got there, there were only 2 rooms across the hallway from each other. I wished that I had checked with the hotel before checking in that they had 2 rooms connected to each other. Good price although the service could have been better. The TV placement was kind of awkward--between the beds and […] the living area. Too many Marriott's next to each other with slightly different Model names, confused the cab driver's a bit. Mehr

Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel was under renovation during my stay and the lobby was a bit dusty. The gym was all disorganized. The hotel location is inconvenience to get in and out.

We have stayed at the Springhill Suites a few times and will continue to stay at this hotel when we visit from here on out! It's always clean, the rooms are quiet, and the beds are awesome! I also like that each room has a microwave and fridge. My only critique is that it's a little hard to get to coming from I-35. Love this hotel!!

Decent hotel at a decent price. Room was clean, AC worked well. Did not have any problems with noise, room, service or anything else. Stay included breakfast - not a five star meal but hey, it was included in the price so what do you expect? I will definitely consider staying at SpringHill Suites again next time I'm in Austin.

The downside is that the hotel is somewhat hard to get to. It is just north of an exit from the freeway but you can't get to it except by going through the parking lot of a restaurant, around the block or going an extra exit further north and making a u-turn. Once you discover how to get there, the location is good.

Everything is excellent. Good service, nice, quiet and clean. But the room is small for double bed.

I enjoyed my stay at this property. It was close to everything I needed to do (leisure and business). Property was clean and the staff was courteous.

We were pleasantly surprised when we checked in. The room was larger than expected and quite comfortable. Having a window that could open was a benefit, given the pleasant weather. I enjoyed the business center, with computer and printer at no extra charge. Supplied breakfast was adequate, although whole, hard-boiled eggs, would, in my opinion, be a […] nice addition. Coffee, hot chocolate, fruit, are to be had in the lobby, gratis. The staff we thought were exceptionally helpful and friendly, including those at the front desk, the dining help, and even the room maids. This hotel is certainly far above in quality over the average "budget" location. I forgot to mention the spacious, convenient. parking area. And I also failed to mention that we stayed an extra two days. Mehr

Our room was very clean. The room layout took a little bit of getting used to. But overall we were satisfied with our stay.

Room size was good and overall a good place to stay for an overnight in Austin. Lots of resturants close by but a little bit of a drive into downtown Austin.

GREAT HOTEL, CLEAN, COMFORTABLE, CLASSY,SMELLS FRESH TOO, BED VERY COMFORTABLE, ROOM VERY QUIET, FRIENDLY ACCOMODATING STAFF, GOOD NEIGHBORHOOD,CLOSE TO SHOPPING CENTERS, FRESH BREAKFAST, COFFEE, EASY TO ENTER AND EXIT FROM STREET.WILL DEFINATELY STAY HERE AGAIN.

This hotel as Great! Everyone was friendly. The room was VERY clean and comfortable. Have never had an issue with any SpringHill Suite Hotel - Best bet for your money. Very consistent. The continental breakfast was not the greatest but was what should be expected for this type of hotel. Very nice, friendly staff, clean hotel close to the totally hip Domain area in North Austin. The hotel is quiet, the beds comfortable, and the rooms affordable.

Found out after I booked that it was very close to where I was going. Close to the Mo PAC so easy to get places if I had been staying longer. The bed was very comfortable( it has a mattress topper that made it softer) If you don't like really soft pillows, you'd have to use more than one or bring your own, but that wasn't really a problem. There was […] extra linen in the closet for the sofa sleeper, so I was able to use the extra blanket, when I got cold. Was able to get a couple frozen entrees for a quick meal to microwave( we didn't have time to go out for a meal before we had to leave for the wedding we were attending) There was a mall across the freeway and a seafood restaraunt in front of the hotel. Enjoyed the hot tub and pool. Staff was very nice and helpful, especially the evening clerk ( I think her name was Lisa). She gave me 2 different maps of Austin so I could see where I needed to go. If I go back to Austin to sightsee, I would definitely stay here again! Mehr

My daughter and I were in town for a big family celebration, and needed a place to stay for the night before driving back to Dallas. It was a great stay, the room was extremely spacious and clean. The bed was excellent, (so comfortable we didn't want to get out the next morning. It was very quiet, no noise from other guests or outside noise. We slept […] like babies! I would definitely recommend to others and will certainly stay there again when in Austin. Mehr

We enjoyed our 1 night stay at this hotel. Room was large and comfortable. Lobby & breakfast area was nice. Staff was very pleasant. We arrived late and there was a security guard on duty checking the parking lot which surprised us. but also made us feel very secure. Thank you.

What's not to like about that? Also - The place across the street -- "Jack's Boat" ? Is a great little bar that starts to hop after 11.

Nice rooms, very clean, friendly staff, very quiet (even with a bunch of ACL fest guests). Only problem was vague directions from their website mapping tool.

Overall, I'm incredibly impressed with my stay at this hotel. The staff exceeded every expectation I had. Additionally, I got the best night's sleep I think I've ever had in my LIFE!!! I don't know what kind of mattresses they use, but I can't remember the last time, if ever, I've been so comfy in a bed. Can't wait to go back!
