Wir (Paar, 34 und 37) haben uns aufgrund des Schnäppchenangebots und der Lage für dieses 5-Sterne-Hotel entschieden. Insgesamt haben wir die Entscheidung auch nicht bereut. Allerdings finde ich 5 Sterne schlicht übertrieben. Die Lage ist klasse, direkt am Bahnhof und am Beginn der Bar- und Einkaufsmeile. Aber die Atmosphäre ist sehr unpersönlich und […] kühl. Ein Kingsize-Bett ist grundsätzlich etwas feines, aber a) war es uns zu weich und b) musste man wegen der 5 unterschiedlichen Lagen festgezurrten Bettzeugs 10 Minuten Betten bauen, bevor man versuchen konnte einzuschlummern. Außerdem hat uns die Klimaanlage nicht überzeugt (Fenster ließen sich nicht öffnen). Die Temperatur hat irgendwie nie so richtig gepasst, so dass die erste Nacht eher unruhig war... Sonstige Ausstattung und Bad waren sauber und okay, ohne jetzt Begeisterung auszulösen. Ein Kritikpunkt ist noch die Minibar. Die Preise waren so unverschämt, wie wir es noch nie irgendwo gesehen haben. Für ein normales Wasser (0,2l) sollte man 5,- Euro bezahlen. Für ein paar Nüsse sogar 6,- Euro. Peinlich, wenn ein gutes Haus meint, so seine Schnäppchenpreise finanzieren zu müssen. Bei der Buchung haben wir auf Frühstück verzichtet, so dass wir keine Wertung abgeben können. Allerdings bin ich im Nachhinein froh, keine 25,- Euro pro Person berappt zu haben. Da kann man in der nahen Umgebung viel günstiger ebenfalls leckeres Frühstück bekommen... Aber, alles Negative bezieht sich auf den Anspruch des Hotels auf 5 Sterne. Ich würde dem Hotel glatte 4 Sterne geben. Mehr

Direkt am Bahnhof. Kompetentes Service. Frühstück ist teuer, aber man kann gegenüber beim Cafe oder Brotimbiss (an der rechten Ecke des Hauptbahnhofs, wenn man davor steht, sehr zu empfehlen) frühstücken.

We took this hotel for one night due to a reunion party at the maassilo. Great stay overal, only thing is that they did not find my reservation, so the gave me an upgrade to 2 executive rooms. Overall a nice stay, also nice that they offer a late checkout for 10 euro per hour.

Stayed here for two nights on a recent visit to Rotterdam, hotel is ideally located right outside the Central Station. Staff are all very accomodating as you would expect from a high quality hotel but not snooty with it for a change. Bar is very pleasant on an evening and food is excellent. Overall an excellent hotel which I would highly recomended […] to anyone visiting Rotterdam. Mehr

Having stayed in six different hotels in Rotterdam, the Manhattan continues to be the best hotel in every category.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Location was easy, opposite train station meant we could leave our luggage after check out and head straight to the airport when we needed to. Easy walking distance to shopping, eating, drinking. Loved the comfortable beds. Only complaint is that the breakfast crowd on Saturday was massive, and the room sounded like a […] busy fish market, as opposed to a restaurant in a 5* hotel. Staff were stretched to the limit and service was slightly lacking. But that was just breakfast. :) Rooms are nice! Mehr

Nice hotel in a great location. Our room did have a couple problems though as the AC didnt seem to work and the room got hot overnight. There was also an unidentified high pitched whine throughout the night which bothered my girlfriend. We told the staff upon checkout in the morning and they seemed like they would get it taken care of but did not offer […] any kind of discount or compensation. Other than that the room was very nice and the location was great. I felt like it was a pretty good value which would have been even better had there been no problems with the room. Mehr

This hotel is directly across from the train station - it was a very easy walk even with the station construction. Fresh flowers in the lobby were beautiful as well. We loved the hotel and were sorry we had to leave. Breakfast can be very pricey - 28.5 euros per person.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The concierge, Lesley was amazing and went the extra mile and helping us with the city for the first time. The front desk also booked Keukenhof tickets and bus tickets for us online. One drawback was that I originally booked for 1 adult and 1 child and my niece and brother decided to join us later during our vactation. […] We did not know this, but the limit for a room is 3 and we had 2 children and 2 adults. It cost us quite a bit to get another hotel room for 3 nights and not to expecting the additonal hotel nights. I thought I could pay for an additional person but they said safety rules. 3 max. Be careful if you have more than 3 and I would not recommend staying there. Mehr

Stayed here a few times on business, and the experience has been adequate. This time I paid extra and stayed in an Executive room. Maybe I'm missing the point, but from what I could tell, all the 50GBP difference got me was a free bottle of water and a foot stool. Other than that the rooms were exactly the same. Very disappointing.

For a casual traveller to Europe star ratings may be very misleading.While in US a 3star hotel is generally something upgraded ( such as revamped Holiday Inn properties) in Europe ,and in Netherlands in particular - it maybe a rathole with most unpleasant and shady -looking neghbors.Ditto for 4 or 5 star. For example Grand Krasnopolsky in Amsterdam […] ( rated 5*) is a dingy smelly old thing with a pretentious lobby. Amsterdam Crowne Plaza ( 4 *) is an outright scary looking brick cube with jail-like windows exposed to the tram tracks... True 5 star properties are priced accordingly ( high 300s is a start price)and they are not subject to discount. Beyong big cities, hotel properties are even more overpriced and underwhelming , due to a lack of competition. Europeans think in a small-country way - I am not writing it in a ny derogatory way, I am jsut mentioning it because that's where North American traveller can benefit. What is a differnt city at the other and of their country for Dutch- for us is a short commute. I was on buisness trip which took me several days to Leiden, Haague and Schipol.Commuting fromRotterdam ( 6 miles to Hague , 13 to Leiden ) is shorter than what I do to get good groceries in US. Buth it was met with disbelief from the locals. It seemed so far ! To get the best of both words - high quality and low price , it is impossible to beat Manhattan Westin in Rotterdam. It is a true 5* business hotel - not flashy and overdecorated -but extremely high quality, top security , prompt service,efficient staff, all buisness amentie..., It is a fantastic location for commuting being located 400 feet from the station. Rotterdam is not the most glamorous city in Holalnd - it was bombed during WWII and now it is overrun with "minorities" to bigger degree than any other large cities.Yet it feels reasonably safe even at 2 AM on the train station for a woman travelling alone. The hotel is very secure - you can't even get the elevator to run witout your room key .Th Mehr

One minor remark: in early 2010 there was construction work in an adjacent lot, but no real inconvenience. Definitely recommended.

Almost ideal place to stay in but when you consider to pay extra for car park hotel NOT worth these money. Overall would it be recommended

What a great hotel. The staff were very nice and helpful and spoke great english. Very Clean and comfortable bedrooms, we were very central to the city center only 5 mins walk and right next to the train station. No need for a taxi as the station is just outside the front of the hotel. If you had to say anything bad about the hotel it is the cost of […] the internet which was 22 euros a day or 10 euros for an hour and if you want Breakfast in the Hotel its 29 euro (But it is a Five star hotel). We will go back again cause for shopping Rotterdam is a great city. Mehr

Rotterdam is one of Europe's most wonderful cities. After being destroyed during WW2, Rotterdam now has the most unique architecture of any European city. The Westin is centrally located next to the main railway station (Amsterdam in about 45 minutes away by train), and is a gorgeous hotel. Our room was exceptionally well appointed, and had excellent […] air conditioning which was important as it was quite hot during our visit. The staff was extremely friendly, and took time to not only tell us about places we wanted to see (the Cube Houses, etc.) but their favorite restaurants, etc. I would absolutely recommend the Westin Rotterdam, and will certainly stay there again when I next visit the city. Nice hotel very close to the train station. No noise from the railway either. With a few steps you'll be in the middle of the shopping district where you can find good restaurants, bars, clubs etc. Mini bar a little bit too expensive and a pool in the hotel would be nice as well since you're staying at a 5 star hotel.

This was a great hotel to visit. We arrived by ship from a transatlantic cruise in Rotterdam. We took a tram to the hotel from the port. The trams,trains etc, are easy to use. The people are very friendly. The hotel staff assisted us in getting around. There were English specking tour staff at the main train station, walking distance from the hotel. […] They assisted us in travelling to Amsterdam by train on our first day outing. On our second day, the hotel staff recommended visiting Delph, a very historic and great tourist town. I consider it a must, if u r visiting for a few days. The hotel exceeded our expectation. Centrally located near central train terminal and trams. We did out to eat. Hotel staff very helpful. We would return again. Rooms very clean and well maintained.

I stayed at the Westin for one week to attend a conference at De Doelen. The room was a Superior Room - Eternal Summer. Access to the conference venue is excellent as is access to regional rail (Rotterdam Centraal is right across road). Hotel was good though breakfast would benefit from a better range fo hot foods. My only criticism is internet […] access is exorbitant. 22 Euros for 24 hours and up from there. Internet access is a must have for a business customer. However, while I paid a reasonable price for the accomodation, the additional cost imposed by internet made the overall cost of my stay excessive. Mehr

Veldig sentralt. Standarden er også bra, men jeg forventer mer av et 5-stjerners hotell. Hyggelig betjening. Omfattende byggearbeider foran hotellet (nytt sentralstasjon), så det anbefales å få rom mot bakgård.

La calidad del hotel está bien, pero considero imprescindible que la WiFi esté incluida (22€ por un día?). Ciertamente, los precios de los servicios no tienen sentido, una película antigua cuesta 16€. Alguien se lo plantea realmente?

Te gekke hotel. Fantastisch gelokaliseerd. Tijdelijke verbouwing Centraal Station is NIET storend. Illy koffie is the best! Service zeer vriendelijk en goed/attent!! Wil er zeker nog eens heen.

Valgte hotellet på grunn av beliggenheten til sentralbanestasjonen og sentrum. Hadde et oppgradert rom som jeg var veldig fornøyd med. Kjempehyggelige i resepsjonen. Det er et flott hotell og skal du ha noe ekstra så koster det også deretter. Jeg er vant til fri tilgang på interett når jeg bor på hotell. Her var det svin dyrt.

駅から近く便利。部屋の設備も良くきれい。シャワーブースが別にあり便利。ただ駅前が工事中のため眺めが良くなかった。

Dit hotel was zonder meer uitstekend. Het ontbijt was echter niet in de kamerprijs begrepen en naar onze smaak nogal duur. Geen nood; vlak naast het hotel was in het winkel centrum een ontbijt/lunchrestaurant voor een redelijke prijs. Alles kwam op z'n pootjes terecht!

Really comfortable hotel - friendly staff, excellent service. Only minus point the fact that it's facing the central station building site, but this will disappear soon hopefully.
