sehr gut ausgestattetes Hotel in günstiger Lage für Stadtbesichtigungen, aufmerksamer Service

Ruhig und Sehenswürdigkeiten auch zu Fuss erreichbar. Suite grosszügig, etwas dunkel, da nur 1 Fenster.

Large suite. Clean, great staff, good bar. Awesome location.

Rm service should work to get orders correct.

This hotel was decent, but I wouldn't put it in the "luxury"category. The room was clean, but the bathroom fan didn't work. Also, charging for wifi and only allowing one device seems, well, archaic.

The room was very nice and staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was a bit of a walk to the white house but I didn't mind it cuz it was in a nice location there are shops and resteraunts all around and if you didn't want to walk it is also a good location for easy access for taxi's or tour buses as well .. Very nice hotel... my only complaint is that they did not inform me there would be a charge for parking. The parking fee is charged on a daily basis and is quite high.

Very clean and convenient. My only complaint is that the pillows were not soft at all.

First of all, I cannot say enough nice things about the staff at this hotel. They went out of their way to treat their guests politely and professionally. My mother (who is elderly) wanted hotter water in her tub. When I called to see if her water's temperature could be altered, the maintenance man immediately came to her room and adjusted the water's […] setting. There were several other small instances of their willingness to make the guest feel at home. When I wanted to get the paper for mom and the papers in the lobby were all gone (she wished to do the newspaper crossword puzzle), the young man behind the counter found one online and printed it for her. I didn't ask him to do so. It was clear to me, that management wanted its customers to leave satisfied. As for location, this hotel is equally close to Foggy Bottom and Dupont Circle Metro Stations... That means you have a choice of two/three lines, which is a major asset if you don't have a car. There are great restaurants in nearby Dupont Circle. And the cupcakes in Georgetown (less than a mile away) are fantastic. Hello Cupcake in Dupont Circle is good, as well. I come to D.C. four times a year and would definitely recommend this hotel and this area. Mehr

There were three adults sharing the "suite" and it was pretty comfortabel for one night. The two sleeping areas were separated by the kitchen and bathroom, but the area was all open. Even so, overall the room worked really nicely for one night.

The only complaints I have are that the towels and washclothes were remarkably thin and rough, and hair conditioner was not available (or at least, not available in the bathroom...I didn't call room service and request it). Otherwise, all was fine.

Adequate...perhaps underwhelmed is the most apt descriptor...just not what we are used to as a four or five star rated hotel. More a boutique "catchup". "Suite" was a single small room, with a full kitchen on the wall. Very clean and friendly staff. My only complaint is that when checking in with my reservation they charged me an extra $30 for having a 3rd person in the room which I still don't understand because when I made the reservation it was for 3 people so it was not a change to the reservation. Other than that the stay was wonderful.

Everything was terrific. The staff and room were great. The shower was amazing! The only downside was the $12 charge for Internet.

Great value for the money. The only complaints were that the shower faucett did not work too well, and the bottle of champane that was promised was never delivered. Overall the staty was great. Would definelty come back again.

the deluxe suite is well worth the money. It's like a small apartment with a full kitchen, eating area, sitting area and a separate bedroom. Lots of space and nicely decorated. In a great neighborhood, too.

I recently stayed at St Gregory for a one night stay during a weekend trip to DC. The location is great, within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The desk service was great at check-in. My experience with room service was poor. I called one time for an item I forgot to pack. I needed conditioner for my hair. The room service attendant tried […] to tell me I already had it when I called. I said I didn't have it and I did need it. He apologized on the phone but it Never was delivered to my room. Also I had a mixup with my room reservation. I booked a suite and was given a standard room. They quickly corrected the mistake. But, when I got to my correct room, they called me and said I was given an upgrade and the only reason they gave it to me was because I was only staying one night. I said it was not an upgrade, this was the room type that I reserved. But I was still given "attitude" over the phone, as if he was doing me a favor. Other than these 2 issues, my room was comfortable and clean. Oops, except for the "warm" bottle of champagne. Mehr

Stay was completely satisfactory for the price. Bed sheets are not very soft, and the noise from the street is a bit distracting during the night and in the morning, but overall it was a decent hotel.

Nice furnishings and interior and spacious room. The refrig is handy, the bathroom generous. Small but stylish lobby. Convenient restaurant and bar in building. Location is excellent in nice neighborhood surrounded by pricier properties (Ritz Carlton, etc). I only wish the mattresses were a bit firmer. And it would be a nice plus if there was at least […] free wifi in the lobby, where I had to work for a few hours. I wasn't about to ring up $12.95 for two hours. Overall the hotel was nice and in a good location, but the service was below par. I arrived early via an international flight, and although I can understand that they would not have my room ready, they were unable to accommodate me in any way, even to simply let me take a shower and change clothes. When I checked out, they charged me nearly $5 a minute […] for local calls, and while I expected it would be expensive, I didn't think it would be THAT expensive. When I questioned them about it and asked why they didn't post the prices in the hotel room, they lied and claimed it was not the hotel charging the outrageous prices, but rather the phone company. This smallish hotel near Foggy Bottom was more pleasant than I expected. The room was fine, and the bed was very comfortable. There was a chic bar/restaurant just off the lobby. The only jarring note is the somewhat bizarre sculpture in the small lobby of Marilyn Monroe with her skirt being blown by a gust of air (the famous scene from The Seven Year […] Itch). Mehr

My fiancé and I recently stayed at this property and it was by far our WORST experience to date while staying in Washington, D.C.. First off, the property claims to be a world-class establishment which is a bold-faced LIE. It is old, with outdated accommodations and is literally falling apart. Secondly, the STAFF is highly inattentive. The customer […] service was TERRIBLE. Due to the age of the door to our master suite, the lock was bolted closed and my fiancé was locked inside for over 30 minutes!! Maintenance was called and they were clueless. It was an absolute NIGHTMARE!! To make matters worse, I asked to speak to the General Manager and was passed to a junior desk clerk who insulted me by offering a $20 credit of some sort. Not only did this add insult to injury, it also showed the LACK OF CLASS this place possesses. The General Manager never called us back after several attempts to reach him. Not even a simple apology out of courtesy for our inconvenience. Finally, my advice as a frequent traveler to Washington, D.C. is to steer far away from this property and GO ELSEWHERE. IT IS A HOUSE OF HORRORS and that is putting it mildly!! Mehr

Upon arrival, the guy at the front desk was unorganized and flustered. He was boderline rude and definitely not welcoming. He asked us, "you already checked in right?" and we answered with a polite "no". It took him a while to find our reservation even though we had our hotels.com confirmation. We were ultimately given an awkward handicap room with […] extra wide doors, and weird shower seating...not a big deail, but it made me think that they had given our room to another guest. The walls are definitely thin and the rooms are outdated. The location isn't bad though. It's very close to Dupont Circle so it was nice to have the convenience of the Metro nearby, along with all the nice shops and restaurants. I probably would not stay here again. Mehr

We stay at The St. Gregory several times each year, when we visit DC. We continue to be very well taken care of, by staff who remembers us...that's a great feeling! THANK YOU TO ALL STAFF!

The room was huge with a kitchen that made self catering a breeze. A little noisy occasionally but ok, close to the metro and in easy walking distance to all attractions. A great neighbourhood with fantastic food choices if you want to go out

Front desk staff was rather unfriendly and unprofessional. They would not let you check in early, even though the hotel was empty. Housekeeping was very nice. Hotel is clean and in good location.

We rented 3 rooms for a large family visit to see the sights in DC. The staff was great, the rooms were close together, and very comfortable and well equipped. It's close to the metro, and Dupont Circle is an interesting neighborhood. There's a Panera nearby for breakfast, as well as a convenience store for milk and supplies. There are many upscale […] restaurants in the area as well. I'd like to go back someday. Mehr

After having stayed two nights in a more expensive Capitol Hill Area hotel we relocated to the St George and found it to be much more conveniently located within walking distance from Georgetown as well as a short walk to Dupont Circle or Foggy Bottom Metro station. I can only speak for my room but there was no updated TV, the bed was comfortable but sad to see there was no down comfortable. The Hostess was a bit pertentious and not helpfull.... When I asked about self parking, there was an attitude to consider parking elsewhere... It was a decent hotel but a bit overpriced

This was a nice hotel. Was near everywhere I had go. But the overnight staff was not. Nice and don't know how talk to talk to people
