Das Hotel ist in der Nähe des Bhfs. Nørreport (direkte Metro zum Flughafen) gelegen, allerdings muss man mit Gepäck noch ca. 10 Min. laufen. Richtung Nørreport gibt es auch einen Platz mit vielen Cafes so wie genug Supermärkte mit langen Öffnungszeiten. Auf der anderen Seite des Wassers liegt Nørrebro, auch mit vielen Cafes usw.. Das Hotel ist durch die Lage in einer Seitenstrasse/Hinterhof sehr ruhig. Die Rezeption war schnell und freundlich. Im Hotel zwei Passagen mit Treppen wo man die Koffer tragen muss (u.a. Eingang). Das Frühstück ist Bio, aber Wochentags nur bis 10 Uhr verfügbar, daher ungetestet. Das Zimmer im 4. Stock war hell und freundlich, das Queensize-Bett mit 1,40m Breite aber etwas schmal. WLAN-Empfang schnell und problemlos. Zu den Kritikpunkten: Im TV gab es nur ein internationales Programm, der Rest war dänisch und schwedisch. Im Bettzeug gab es in kleines Loch, das hätte man sehen können als Roomservice. Grösstes Problem war die Dusche...sehr geringer Wasserdruck und laufend starke Temperaturwechsel, aber das hing vielleicht mit der Lage des Zimmers zusammen. Irritierend war noch der Hinweis auf der MiniBar: "Missbrauch" (also lagern von eigenen Sachen drin) soll 75 DKK kosten. In Rechnung gestellt wurden die jedoch glücklicherweise nicht. Auch noch schade: Man konnte (oder wollte?) für uns nicht im mit dem Hotel assoziierten ital. Restaurant "Rocca" reservieren. Wir haben uns deshalb das Essen über den Room Service bringen lassen.

Ein gutes Hotel, wenn man nicht unbedingt im Zentrum leben muss. Nachteil: die Tageskarte ins Zentrum kostet 55 DKK; Vorteil: wenn man mit dem Hafen-Bus (Schiff) fährt (Haltestelle ca. 5. min gerade aus), kann man einige schöne Design-Bauten sehen. Viel Auswahl beim Frühstücksbuffet. Im Zimmer kleine unangenehme Mängel, z..B. kaputte Lampe; Bett gut und Bad sauber. Zimmergröße (Standard) OK. Ruhig, obwohl Hotel zwischen Hauptstrasse und Bahnstrecke liegt. Kostenloses Whirlpool im Hotel, daher nasse Menschen im Badeslip auf dem Flur.

Das Hotel liegt zwar mitten im Rotlichtviertel, dafür aber auch zentral, direkt am Hauptbahnhof. Zur Stadtmitte mit den Einkaufsstraßen etc. geht man zehn Minuten. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war klein, aber sauber. Leider war es auch ziemlich hellhörig, besonders zum Flur hin. Da die Türen von außen keine Klinken haben, werden sie zugeworfen, was besonders nachts stört. Durch einen großen Spalt zwischen Tür und Rahmen drang nachts viel Licht in mein Zimmer. Die Betten sind sehr weich, nichts für empfindliche Rücken. Die Badezimmer waren sehr sauber und zu jeder Zeit war etwas frei. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr gut. Das Internet ist unverhältnismäßig teuer. Alles in allem war mein Aufenthalt dort jedoch sehr angenehm.

Dank des Vergnügungsparks Tivoli, der im Jahr 1843 gegründet wurde, ist dieses Gebiet heute das belebteste Viertel der Stadt. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, das ist aber auchg das einzige, was für dieses Hotel spricht. Die Rezeption war sehr gut, auch das Personal sehr freundlich. Aber das Zimmer war schon eine Zumutung, der Teppich dreckig, das Bett kurz vor dem "totalem ZUsammenbruch", die Matratze weich und duchgelegen. Dabei hatte ich das Komfort-Zimmer gebucht. ?! Das Hotel liegt in der Naehe von HBf bzw. Tivoli, also recht zentral. Gegenueber ist ein chinesisches Restaurant, in dem man gut und preisguenstig essen kann, da das Hotel ueber kein eigenes Restaurant verfuegt. Das Fruehstueck ist OK, aber nichts Besonderes. Das Zimmer war recht klein, aber ausreichend. Das TV-Geraet eine Zumutung (langes Zappen bis ein deutscher Sender gefunden wird, der immer neu aufgerufen werden muss), aber die groesste Enttaeuschung war das alte Badezimmer (ich bin von skandinavischen Hotels eine oft einfache, aber ausreichend grosse Dusche mit Bodenabfluss gewohnt) mit Badewanne und einem Vorhang, der immer versucht, am nassen Koerper zu kleben. Das Hotel war sehr ordentlich und schön und auch das Personal war nett und hilfsebereit. die zimmer sind auch sehr zufriedenstellend nur die reinigung während des aufenthaltes beläuft sich lediglich auf bettdecke ausschütteln und neue handtücher. aber dafür war das frühstücksbuffet um so besser. ich würde immer wieder dort einchecken!

Achtung! Frühstück nicht im Preis drin; muss extra bezahlt werden. Umfangreiches Frühstücksbuffet: gut, aber bienenhausmässig. Die Zimmer sind ok, aber nichts Besonderes. Die langen Gänge (riesiges Hotel) müssten dringend renoviert werden, besonders die Teppiche, und die Gänge riechen muffig. - Trotz Nichtraucher-Reservierung […] sollten wir zunächst ein Raucherzimmer bekommen, musste massiv intervenieren. Lage ist gut. Vor dem Hotel eine Bus Haltestelle. S-Bahn ums Eck. 10min bis zum Rathausplatz. 5min zum Tivoli. Preis o.k.. Ist aber kein 4* Hotel. Eher 3*. Frühstück ausreichend. Klima am Zimmer. 3 deutsche TV Kanäle. Die Zimmer eher klein. Für ein Stadthotel aber optimal.

"Nicht begeistert"
Zimmer sind in einem sehr schlechten Zustand. Die Möbel weisen arge Gebrauchsspuren auf. Die Matraze war sehr weich, so dass man sich im Doppelbett immer zur Mitte orientierte. Es gab keine Gläser für die Minibar. Die Spiegel wurden nicht richtig gesäubert. Auf dem Rahmen des Bettes war staub. Im Bad gab es Seifenspender ohne Seife. The hotel is big and clean and located in central Copenhagen at a great location. "First hotel Vesterbro - convenient but noisy"
My room was very comfortable and clean. The hotel is conveniently located. The only problem for me was the noise from guests returning from partying in the early am hours. One could hear doors opening and shutting loudly and loud groups of people chatting in the corridor. Otherwise, very good service and location.

this hotel is no 4 stars hotel. I had to change room 2 times with much difficulties. First they wanted to charge me d.kr. 200,- extra per night. A pull down bed is not what I had expected from a standard class hotel. Also, wooden floors in the rooms made it a bit noicy and you could prefectly hear neighboring guests.
"somewhat worn and unclean rooms"
Hotel location is good, close to Tivoli and downtown. Rooms are..well dated and with an 15" tv (old fat model) with a really worn remote that almost did not work..u had to press hard on the button to change anything.. Then there was some small "bathroom flies" not mosquitos but them small flies that lives near water. They dont bite you or do anything...but […] that felt...nasty me thought. Stayed in First hotel Vesterbro for 2 nights and would say it would definitely feature in my top 3 hotels - of where not to stay. Had read mixed reviews before booking, but my decision was probably swayed by both limited general availability in the city and the fact this was a sister hotel to one of the best hotels in the city - Skt Petri. I have to […] admit I don't think I'd want that hotel tarnished with the poor quality and disappointment that is First Vesterbro. Firstly the rooms all have wooden floors, which I can't understand how this would ever be a good idea for a hotel unless properly soundproofed, which of course this wasn't, so we enjoyed the sound of footsteps and the general echo of chattering and babies crying throughout our stay. The quality and cleanliness of the rooms certainly leave room to be desired. The general condition of the room decoration was poor, it was tired, walls and floor scuffed and scratched and the bathroom was not very clean. As our tv didn't work we also ended up having to move rooms and the second room was exactly the same, so it wasn't a case of an unlucky oversight, it did represent the overall quality of the hotel's rooms, and we were meant to be staying in a superior room! Other points to note: Limited table availability at breakfast - we ended up having to share a table as there were none available. The overall quality of the breakfast was ok, choice was fine Waited over an hour to be served a drink in the hotel bar, where there was only 1 other person, who got so fed up of waiting they left Location is convenient enough to get to the city. It's immediate neighbourhood is nothing special and to get to sights like Nyhaven, little mermaid, shopping areas is a minimum 15 minutes walk. Tivoli is closer, and this would be the nearest main attraction point. I can really recommend this comfortable hotel. IThe rooms are nicely decorated rooms and it's very well situated, close to the city centre. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Nice Hotel only five minute walk from the central station and Tivoli. Good breakfest and tidy rooms. Maybe somewhat expensive since the room wasn't so spectacular - a small room with a bed and an old, broken TV.

The First Hotel Vesterboro was a great pick for me. It is centrally located to the central train station in Copenhagen, the rooms are modern and a good amount of space for European hotels. The breakfast was a great spread, very typically European: bread, cheese, yogurt, granola, scrambled eggs, bacon, fruit, coffee, etc. My only complaint was that some […] of the furnishings were getting a little old and worn. Our curtains had small holes along knee level that looked like things snagged on it causing small tears. This let in quite a bit of light in the mornings. Unbelivable that this is a 4 star hotel. It was bad service, dirty and seemed to be not good taken care of. The room was dirty and it was clearly not made any new investments according to lamps, chairs... Also in the lobby were the chairs dirty and everything looked like it was not taken care of. The breakfast were crowdy and the tables did not look […] inventibale. In a 4 star Hotel the tables should be set, but here you had to bring everything yourself. Including napkins, forks, knifes... Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Our room was comfortable. TV didn't work, but then we weren't in our room enough for that to make a difference. Short walk to Tivoli gardens and the train station, which is why we picked it. The areas that people are flocking to are on the opposite part of the city--a walk of about 20 to 30 minutes. Nice hotel with good breakfast buffet. Location is perfect for tourists. Easy 3-block walk to Tivoli Gardens and Hop-on-Hop-Off buses. Very convenient for restaurants also. Would recommend to anyone.

Fantastic selection for breakfast and served a bit later than many hotels until 10am and 11am on weekends. Some other reviews have stated that room cleanliness was an issue - this was not evident in our room. Maybe they have listened to the feedback? The location is good, about 10minutes walk to the many city square and about 3 minutes walk to Tivoli […] Gardens. We hired bikes from the hotel too which were good quality. Mehr

The room was not very clean when we checked into our room. There were some empty water and juice bottles left and some of the towels were not clean. We called the front desk and immediately they sent a chambermaid to clean the room and bring new towels. This being a 4 star hotel, we expected the room to be ready by 5pm, when we checked in. "Copenhagen – First Hotel Vesterbro"
Great location if you're traveling by train. 400 room hotel with large bedrooms, nice hardwood floors etc. I did not have the breakfast buffet – but if you're traveling to Copenhagen I would suggest paying for the buffet. Hotel buffets in Copenhagen are the most reasonable way to cover the cost of eating.

"Good location, VERY poor cleaning."
I selected this hotel because it was close to the train station and the shopping district. I like this part of it very much. The breakfast was good as well. I do have to say that I was extremely disappointed in the cleanliness of the room The shower had a large amount of mildew and the entire room needed to be vacuumed badly.

The hotel allowed us to check in early (~9:30am) which was wonderful after a long flight. The room was comfortable but not exactly clean - there was used shampoo and soap in the shower and notepads in the room with notes scribbled on them - not big deals but enough to question the cleanliness of the rest of the room. The breakfast was very good and […] well stocked. I would recommend getting the breakfast with your room if possible (as it's very expensive to pay out of pocket on an a la carte basis). One annoying thing came up - we were there for our honeymoon and friends of ours apparently had called the hotel several times to order champagne for our room as a surprise. The first time they called (on a Friday afternoon) they were told that the kitchen was closed and to call back on Monday. On Monday, they called and were told that they were 'out of champagne due to a convention.' Our friend again tried on Tuesday but with no luck. The front desk staff denied having received any calls and this was extremely annoying - we even went to the hotel bar and ordered champagne to see if they were 'out' and guess what? We were served champagne immediately! So, if you can handle dirty soap in the bathroom and terrible customer service, the First Hotel Vesterbro is for you! In all honestly, we would not stay there again but for a family looking for a comfortable spot close to Tivoli, I would definitely recommend this hotel. Mehr

First Hotel Vesterbro is a very clean and modern hotel set in the heart of Copenhagen. Located just a few blocks from the city's central train station, the neighborhood surrounding the hotel offers plenty of restaurants, bars and shopping venues--including Copenhagen's pedestrian mall, which is only a 10 minute walk away. The room was small but included […] everything you would want from a hotel--clean bedding, free wireless internet, minibar and HDTV. More important, after 10 p.m., the hotel became very quiet and I enjoyed one of the most restful nights in a hotel I've had in a long time. "Dirty hotel"
The whole hotel was in need of a good clean. The room was a reasonable size and had nice sloping ceiling the bed was comfortable. However the valance around the bed was badly stained - it looked like blood. When I complained housekeeping came immediately and removed it but never replaced it so we had to look at the nasty dirty floor beneath the bed. […] The bedroom floors were timber and in need of a wash. The walls in the room were also dirty - the suitcase stand was badly stained and the bath had mould around it. This was an excellent hotel for the money and we couldn't have been happier with our stay. The front desk staff was friendly and very helpful. Crappy beds, tiny rooms, ancient decor and furniture Nothing against this hotel, just typical for Europe
First Hotel Vestebro was conveniently located. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was amazing! The hotel was a great value.

"Great Hotel"
Friendly, helpful staff; clean and modern room, even if a little small; perfectly suitable. Close to train. Room facing courtyard was very quiet. If you have access to a deep discount, it's absolutely worth it.

Neighborhood is a little on the seedy side. Very nice location for Tivoli Gardens. A bit of a hike to get to most other attractions.
Jeg bookede på hotels.com - og det var ikke lige nemt at afkode at 2 ud af 3 værelser var booket uden morgenmad. det viste sig at være ret så svært at booke efterfølgende - og meget dyrt. det synes jeg er lidt dårligt. 145 dkk for morgenmad når man har booket 3 værelser - er lidt i overkanten. fint, hvis man kommer gående ind fra gaden, men når der […] er booket hotelværelser .... ellers så er hotellet et ynglingshotel - primært pga. den gode beliggenhed og hotellets generelle gode stand Mehr
Vi synes meget godt om opholdet hå hotelet, hvis jeg skal sige noget negativt kunne gulvene på værelse helst under sengen veret renere
