Motel 6 Richfield Inn - Richfield

We've stayed there before. Room was fine, clean, good beds. Drapes and spread were new, pleasing. Almost didn't book because of some bad reviews, maybe those rooms hadn't been redone. We have a cat so need a pet friendly place. The restaurant adjoining is another reason to stay there.

I've stayed at two star hotels before but this place should be a negative 2 star hotel! I did'nt think that hotels existed like this and advertized at the same time! This hotel should advertize by the hour! Yes it's that bad! To start with, the rooms are very dated. Which is fine if they were also clean, which they were'nt! Second, the room AC was broken! […] I told the front desk about it several times and they even came down to look at it and they couldn't find anything wrong with it. But when it's cooler outside the hotel than it is in your room and the temp that day was 86 deg. I would say something is wrong with the AC unit! Oh yeah! I couldn't even open the window to get any air from outside because it was screwed closed!!! So we asked if we could switch rooms, but were told that there are no rooms left because they were having a large group coming in later. This how ever I doubt, because when I went to bed at 10:00 PM there were only 4 cars in the parking lot and when we woke up at 7:00 AM there were still 4 cars in the parking lot! And, this was the first hotel that I actually was concerned about our safety while sleeping and if our car would be OK through ou the night. Luckly we and the car were OK. Finally, the continental breakfast stunk! Two types of cereal, some apples that had big brown bruises, and juice or coffee is not my idea of a breakfast, continental or otherwise! In closing, this hotel was so bad that on our return trip from Vegas we also had a reservation to stay here (allready payed for on hotels.com) but booked at another hotel in Richfield and just counted the lost money as a lesson learned! So be fore warned! If your used to cheap seedy hotels that could rent by the hour than you'll be Ok here but if your used to a little (or alot) better hotels----RUN AWAY----FAST!!!!!! Mehr

The breakfast was minimal. There was bread for toast, 2 kinds of cereal w milk, waffles, fruit, juice, and coffee. There were no bagels, yogurt, sweet rolls, or anything else.

We had a good room and good night sleep.We will stay here again.

Stayed Sept 2 while enroute from Redlands, CA, to Gill, CO. Wonderful Pool & Spa

Our room had a very unpleasant smell. After seeing a hole in the carpet where someone's pet had tried to dig out of the room, I realized the smell was from the animals that had stayed there. I think pet rooms should be used exclusively for those with pets.

Richfield is a small town with not much going on. But for an overnight stay this place was fine. Staff not very friendly - slightly disapproving in their attitude. Breakfast cleanup started 15 minutes before it was due to end, and we got the definite impression it was time for us to hit the road! But very clean and nice rooms, and everything worked. […] Free wi-fi - pool, and breakfast. I'd stay here again if I was in this neck of the woods. Mehr

The listing should state that there is no elevator. Luckily, we could manage the stairs, but dragging the luggage down and up was a bit tricky. We were in the basement (the only hotel I've ever seen with basement rooms). That was okay, but the hotel should require that people cannot park right outside the basement windows. (The cars were in undesignated […] spots when stalls were available.) As a result, we had to keep our drapes closed all the time. Breakfast was fine. Mehr

Chambre grande et propre, par contre très forte odeur de nourriture assez désagréable dans le couloir. Hotel propre, mis à part à coté de la porte de sortie des chambres, où les poubelles n'ont pas été vidées, tout débordait, il y en avait même par terre, pas très plaisant quand on sort de sa chambre ou qu'on rentre dormir ... Personel moyenement sympathique, […] surtout le matin. Parking, internet et petit déjeuner gratuit, mais le petit déjeuner n'est vraiment pas super. Mehr
