Chase Park Plaza - St. Louis

Loved the new large shower and hot water. Bed very comfortable. Bell boy pleasant. Three light bulbs were out when I arrived in two lamps. The bell boy called housekeeping but no one came. I enjoyed me stay and would stay again.

I travel to St. Louis every few months, and this is my favorite place to stay! Very nice place, you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic overnight stay at The Chase. Affordable luxury at its best. I would rather stay here than The Four Seasons.

After receiving a much needed upgrade (our original room was so small I could barely move and it was located next to the freight elevator) the experience improved considerably. I just don't know why they would put a repeat guest (I have stayed there 5 times for multiple nights) in the worst room in the place-especially when they are not even filled […] to capacity. I love the location of the hotel as it is near all of the activities in the Central West End, but service and quality are just not to the standard they should be for price and reputation. The beds are very comfortable and the amenities are nice, but the rooms do not have the plush, elegant feel you would expect. They have a gym in the building that is nice, but they charge extra for taking the classes offered. Internet is extra as well. Why they "nickel and dime" guests when the rates are already high is beyond me. Overall the experience was nice as our upgraded room was spacious and comfortable, but I wish the level of service was a bit higher. Mehr

The Chase is in the best part of the Central West End. Surrounded by the best restaurants, the Med. School, and cafes. Hotel staff was extremely helpful and professional. The valet was always more than happy to get us a cab anytime we needed it.

This fabulous hotel is within walking distance of Barnes Hospital -- highly recommended.

I LOVE this hotel! the staff is absolutely the best and very accomodating. The rooms are a great size, clean and comfortable. We stayed in the Two Bedroom Suite and it was HUGE!

The room we were given the first night was on the fifth floor in the wing above the bar, when I called at midnight to ask when the music would end the front desk said around 1:00 am even with a tv on it sounded like the band was in our bed and sitting room All she offered was to request they turn the bass down? They did give us a different room the […] next day way away from the noise. Bathrooms need updating but beds were fine. Mehr

Unfortunately our stay was not as good as expected. Two days in a row our towels were not replaced with new ones. The old ones were taken, but not replaced. The room, especially the bathroom, were SO SMALL!! For the price that we paid, I did not feel it was at all worth it. Wont stay there again.

Always a pleasure there, great area around including Forrest Park, central west end, movie theater , etc

All was nice. Furniture in suite was a little worn, but stylish still. The only thing my husband wasn't satisfied with was that there wasn't any complimentary coffee either in the room or in the lobby.

Extremely helpful staff. They were happy to open the gift shop during closed hours.

I was very disappointed with Housekeeping. They left breakfast in the room all day, didn't hang up the hotel robe that was lying on the bed - just threw it on a chair, didn't bother to fold up the pull-out couch that I had half folded up, didn't replenish the coffee or shampoo/soap, but DID change the sheets, even though we were only staying two nights. […] What a waste of energy/electricity that could have been spent on actually cleaning things that should have been cleaned up. On the other hand, the bell service was REALLY good. Larry was awesome - remembered everything about us, which room we were in, etc. Mehr

We lived in this area of St. Louis for 6 years and were thrilled to be back in the Central West End. If you're visiting St. Louis, the CWE is truly the best place to stay. It has the best eats, all within walking distance, and is right across from Forest Park which is the city's greatest gem (but DO NOT MISS City Museum!!!). If you stay here and you […] like healthy fresh high-end Asian, be sure to eat at Little Saigon. The hotel is beautiful and the beds were ultra-comfy. The only issues we had were (1) on Saturday night, the door to the hallway offered little sound insulation from late-night wedding partyers - not a problem in the back room but definitely a problem for those trying to sleep in the front portion of the suite; and (2) when I dropped my car keys in the elevator, and asked about them at the front desk, the worker told me *without checking* that they didn't have them. This caused about 2 hours of needless heart-attacks the morning we were trying to check out, and had my husband's father's car with us from Chicago. We almost spent hundreds having a new key made. Luckily a friend of mine came over to help us look and asked again at the front desk. The new worker checked with security - apparently they keep all lost and found keys - and it turned out security had had had them for over a day. Thank God for this friend. And shame on the worker who didn't even check as a young couple with a child were in search of their keys!!! Mehr

This hotel is a beautifully restored, well maintained classic VERY close to Wash U medical school and hospital. Also close to VERY nice Forest Park, trendy Central West End neighborhood and St Louis Cathederal

My girlfriends and I booked a room here (one bedroom suite) for a girls weekend. Overall, we were very impressed with the hotel and the location is perfect. Lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance, and close to highways. The one thing that we didn't like is that our room was a little dirty - the table looked like it hadn't been cleaned […] in a few weeks (crusty food stuck on it) and the full size fridge had leftover food/drink from previous guests. The hotel was beautiful. The pool was nice. The prices for the restaurants were high. The surrounding area was gorgeous. nicely landscaped. Very clean. beds comfortable. There is a movie theatre on site. we visited busch stadium, the zoo and the arch. the location was convenient to all.

Great staff, great location, very nice pool and the theatres are very convenient, if you need to see a new release! Our room was very nice, but there were some oddities. Our toliet handle kept breaking off, our sink dispenser was off center and our bathtub had a hard time draining. Our room was made up at 4 pm in the afternoon, right when we wanted […] to take a nap from a long hot day, so either understaffed or just slow in making up the rooms. Coffee from room service was burnt, but they did have a morning paper and the staff was good one minute and forgetful the next. Probably the same issues as other hotels. Mehr

What a beautiful hotel and location! I had to fly in for a one day seminar and had I known how pleasant the stay would be, how clean and beautiful the hotel would be, and what an awesome location it was at, I would have brought my hubby along for the ride and extended my stay. Very Highly Recommend!

We came to St Louis for a weekend summer getaway. We really liked the hotel because it had a great outdoor heated pool except the lounge area was a little full on Saturday afternoon. We had a nice one bedroom suite except bathroom a little small. It had a big kitchen. Loved the location of the Chase. Wonderful dining and nightlife spots in the neighborhood directly behind the hotel. The room was kind of small but that is to be expected with older, urban hotels. Everything was clean and newly renovated. Less happy with the breakfast in the main restaurant. Eggs Bennedict the first morning was flavorless. I tried the […] buffet the next day but the scrambled eggs tasted like they started as a powder mix and there was no syrup or butter available for the french toast. Staff was attentive. I just love visiting St. Louis and staying at the Chase Park Plaza! The staff is efficient and friendly. The hotel offers first class luxury and the neighborhood is quaint and offers many dinner options. St. Louis is a great city to visit. Be sure to check out the Botanical Gardens during your visit.

Cahse Park Plaza, St Louis, MO is the only place to stay in St. Louis! Great location, excellent service and outstanding club floor. I hated living this piece of heaven on earth.

Wonderful grand style hotel - right near Forest Park - great for running. Close to shops & great little restaurants. Loved the yoga class at the Sante spa in the hotel. They have lots of weekday classes for business travelers such as myself. Everyone very friendly and helpful. Would stay there again!

This is a grand hotel that does it right. Great architecture, room in tower nice sized, quiet, and close to many good eating spots.

We have stayed at the Chase for many years because we have relatives in St Louis. We love having a suite for the price of a regular room. This time I noticed that the housekeeping was not up to their usual standards. Missing toilet paper holder was not replaced. However, they were very prompt and courteous when we requested the sofa bed to be made.

Great hotel and we had a wonderful time! They upgraded us from a king room to a king suite. We enjoyed the cinema in the hotel, cute resturants around the hotel, and Forest Park.

Great place to stay for a special event !! Glamorous surroundings, takes you back to earlier days of 'class and luxury'.

Everyone at the Chase Plaza was exceptionally helpful, the room was lovely, as well as the spa. An unexpected pleasure was free use of the gym/workout center which is very well equpped ! I did not eat meals there, but enjoyed a drink at the bar... again, friendly staff, and great atmosphere. All in all, grand experience and close to the park and great […] shopping/restaurants.
