We stayed in a double room with double beds. The mattresses were not very comfortable, and the room was quite crowded for our family of four. The bathroom had something splattered on the wall, but was otherwise clean. TV remote didn't work -- may have needed a new battery, but we were too tired to follow up on it. I liked staying at the Wyndham. It lived up to it's name for the most part. I'd certainly recommend it to friends and family. I almost felt like I was in a suite. The service was excellent and the front desk was open to reason.

Hotel was a dump. Halls were filthy. The room was in good shape, saving my stay at this place.

Not a bad place if you need somewhere for a night close to the airport. It doesn't look that great form the outside and the area is dark and deserted at night, but the room is not bad and amenities are excellent for the price. Good breakfast too. It's quite noisy on the side facing the highway; better to get a room on the south side.

i wouldnt recommend this hotel, the location was in an industrial area, with mostly construction trucks in the lot. the hotel was back behind some industrial type businesses and did not feel safe to me.

Decent Hotel close to the airport but not in the best area of town. Wifi worked well and continental breakfast (included eggs and suasages) was better than expected

I mean I took 10 steps and was at the other side of the room small. The bathroom counters were short (like to my mid thigh) and the toilet was a little short to, I felt like i was ain a childs bathroom.. room was mostly clean, there was a little garbage left from previous people, but nothing gross. they even offer a shuttle to the grand sierra so you […] can go and play and not have to drive or cab it. water pressure was good in the shower, and beds were comfortable. The rooms were large & clean; the kitchenette well stocked. Breakfast yummy. The people were very friendly and helpful. Best of all our dog was able to stay there. No extra taxes and stuff like hotels on the strip. Made staying there an even better value!

Nice room-very comfy and clean. Microwave and frig in great condition. Shuttle took me to the store so I could shop for snacks and drinks, and drove me back and forth to the Convention Center. Breakfast was ok--didn't care for the eggs, but coffee, juice, muffins, cereal and waffles were good. Also served breakfast meats,and/or bisquits and gravy, […] but did not try those. Not much within walking distance, but otherwise a nice stay. Shuttle will take you downtown, if you wish. All the hotel personnel I met were friendly and helpful. I was in town for work--excellent value for the money, if you don't need to be in the heart of the action. Mehr

I had high hopes for this hotel. Looks new on the outside but on the inside it was not. For breakfast only the cereal looked edible. I would not take a chance on the hot items, it did not look clean. The toilet in my room ran all night. Not a place I would stay again.

This is my 2nd time staying here. I come to Reno to ski, and this hotel is closer to MT rose than most casino hotels and I didnt like casino hotels anyway. I will come back to this hotel again next year,

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel twice now. We are very satisfied with our stay here. Our room was very clean, beds comfortable. The lady at the front desk was very nice, and the continental breakfast was as good as any restaurant in town. We have found our home away from home.

The hotel beds were hard and they only offer rooms with 2 double beds or 1 king. The service staff were very friendly and accommodating even when we had to check-in around 1am. The breakfast is better than most continental breakfasts offered at this type of hotel and includes a few hot food items (eggs, sausage, biscuits/gravy, waffles) along with a […] good selection of cold options (cereals, toast, bagels, fruit, yogurt). Was skeptical at first because of the outside picture and low price (And you never know if the room photos are real or not) , but this place turned out to be awesome. The room was clean and modern and the staff was very nice and helpful.The price was right and the breakfast was great :) I'd reccomend it over la quinta and the other ones that were more […] pricey, If youre going to reno this is the place to stay. If you are looking for a room like what is in the pictures, you better look somewhere else. Smells...if you like musty smelly hotels, stay here. Backed up...if you havent gone for a while, eat brrakfast here. It will clean out your system, completely and without warning.

we used the "off site room service' for our evening meal. the food came quickly and it was hot and tasty. the breakfast buffet at the hotel was better than any buffet served at the casinos. I should know I've been eating buffets at casinos for over 40 years.

We like the kitchen, free breakfast and the location is close to highway Grand Sierra resort. However, the wall is too thin so we got complaints from others about kids are too noise. Room is a bit small without extra table to sit down and eat (just one desk with two chairs).

The front desk was amazing service, room clean and comfy! Will definatly stay there again!

I like this particular hotel because it was a non smoking hotel....most of the ones I've been even if they are not non-smoking I can still smell some smoke either outside outside the room or inside. This one was perfect because I have a child and I don't like the smell of smoke so it was nice to finally have something smelling clean!

The price is great. The rooms were good and the service was good also. No complaints.

This is a low priced commuter hotel built in the 70's and in need of paint and carpets, especially in the hallways. The elevator is shabby, and the bathtub had a ring of wear around the drain. Otherwise, though, it was clean and reasonably comfortable, had a respectable free breakfast, and was a better overall value than more expensive competing hotels […] in the area. So if you aren't too picky, this place will do the job and leave your wallet in tact.. Mehr

The beds were wonderful, and it was a quiet location. The shower didn't work so that was reported and I'm sure they fixed it right away. I would stay there again.

For the price this room with the breakfast was great. clean room quiet and located next to hotels charging three times as much. will stay again..

Overall nice place to stay. Room was nice, updated, clean and comfortable. Only negative was that the room was a bit on the small side for 3 adults and two dogs. Love the fact that the place did not smell like smoke... it's truly a smoke free place!

Stayed there for a conference at a nearby casino/resort ... price was the main reason. I wasn't expecting much from some of the other reviews on here, but it was definitely a pleasant experience. Quiet - no loud neighbors, it was far enough away from the main roads that noise was definitely not an issue. Clean - no trace of mold or bugs. The bathroom […] towels were changed every day (even though the "save water" hang tag in the bathroom said that they wouldn't be changed if I left the towel hung up, which I did). Bed linens smelled fresh, no smoke. Helpful - they offered a fantastic "shuttle" service, basically a free private cab, not just to/from the airport, but also around town. This alone probably saved ten-fifteen bucks a day in cab fare. Staff was very friendly and quick to help. Overall - I strongly recommend it for anyone travelling on a budget. The same staff runs the Baymont next door, so I assume that a lot of the positives from the Hawthorn apply there as well. Mehr

We've stayed here before, and the renovations and improvements are progressing nicely. The rooms are very clean, quiet and comfortable. The hot breakfast is good, with a nice variety of items. The free shuttle service is a great way to get downtown. Especially like having the frig/microwave/sink in the rooms. Because it was a busy weekend, we ended […] up with a handicap-accessible shower and it was hard keeping the water off the floor...but housekeeping left us tons of towels and did a nice job each morning. Security was a minimum - no card key needed to get inside after hours. Hallways were dimly lit. Door locks on room were worn and/or broken. White socks were brown after being worn in room - thank goodness not bear footed!! Bathroom fan was very noisey and did not work well.

This hotel was actually a little more in price than one of the other ones we stayed at and it was nearly as nice. The pictures on the website don't show how shabby this hotel actually is. Probably will not stay there again. The only reason I picked this hotel in the first place is that it was close to the airport.

This hotel looks nice in the photos, but it is in need of a remodel. The location is good, but you could do much better downtown considering most hotels offer free shuttles to the airport. The management folks are cool, but I would not stay there again. The El Dorado is similarly priced and has much nicer (rooms are much larger and more modern). Pros: Very close to the Reno airport. 5 mins to rental car check-in. Huge flat screen TV, although almost too big for the size room. Cons: Hard to navigate to hotel. Tucked in behind car dealerships and access road, but not on access road. Surrounding neighborhood looked a little shady. Common areas were dingey and looked like they hadn't been cleaned […] in a long time. Had to call front desk for towels on check-in. Air conditioner fan was malfunctioning and only ran on Auto cycle. I couldn't get the fan to run all the time which we like the noise to sleep to. Called mainteinence who came up and his best solution was to move the bed further away from A/C unit. He said this was because of a sensor in the A/C causing it to shut off. This didn't help at all with the fan cycling, but the room was at least cool. Mehr

Easy on/off freeway. Great breakfast with lots of choices and hot food: biscuits, eggs, sausage, waffles, etc. Friendly staff. Hotel was full on a very busy weekend and the noise was surprisingly minimal. One complaint: if you need a rollaway bed it's like sleeping on metal coils. Very basic room in a scary neighborhood. The price was cheap and you can see why when you get there.

Hotel has excellent, friendly service. All guests treated as part of the family.
