smelly, old, not updated, load outside noises, next to truck stop

the hotel pricing was very affordable, especially considering the wknd (Coachella wk2). It was very convenient and near plenty of fast food and gas stations. the only downfall is that it's right next to a truck stop/gas station, so there were several truckers staying at the hotel. We needed a place to sleep for a few hours after the end of the Coachella Music Festival before our early morning flight, and this place did the job. It was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and the 24 night desk assistant had our room keys available at 1am when we arrived.

'This being our first time using Hotel.com we were very dissappointed - this place is a dump. Pillow & sheets must be 20 years old, mattress stained, toilet did not flush, paper-thin walls, bath tub broken and was sealed and dirty (we could not even take a shower it it) and the rugs were very dirty. A very distinct ordor that followed us home in our […] suitecase. I needed to use a CPAP machine and the only plug near the bed was in back of mattress which kept shutting it down everytime we moved. We were way over charged. Please take this motel off your listing. In looking a reviews after returning home there are many, many more people that felt the same way. By the time we realized what we were getting it was too late to cancel. I travel across the U.S. for three weeks every year on my motorcycle and have never seen a motel this bad!' Mehr

As this was my first experience staying at Red Roof, I found it to be overall a second-class hotel. Everything was definitely of poor quality. Bathroom fixtures were old and rusty, and overall it was a low-quality hotel. I would not recommend it to anyone else nor would I choose them again as a place to stay.

the entire hotel was old and Dirty! the bathroom was a nightmare and i was literaly afraid to sleep under the covers. there were big rips in my bedding and when we turned on the AC giant pieces of foam were spitting out of it. The place is dirty and gross. they dont have hair dryers in the rooms, the tv was making a loud buzzing noise and the heat/ac […] controls were worn off so you couldnt see how to adjust the temperature. need i say more? For staying one nite, hotel fine... nothing special, decent shower and bed. near food, get what you pay for... nice staff,front office and hskp.

Bad hotel !!!!

I've stayed here before. The employees were nice and accommodating. There is a laundry room here. Safe for the room. It was cleaned daily. There is a pool and hot tub which needed to be skimmed since it was very windy while I was there.

Bathroom. Hole that pipe for shower head needed to be covered. Room 503.

OK, so it's next to a Truck Stop and the area is a little run down but the room was well sound insulated and clean. Compared to other Hotels in the area, the price is great. The pillows are thin as are the linens but the bed was comfortable, the heat and a/c worked fine and the hotel has ice, refreshments and a laundry room. If you want a higher quality of hotel then pay the higher prices - for what you pay is is a great choice. Mehr

great for a one nighter, next to a casino so great for playing... room was clean adn simple. nothing fancy.

Upon entering the room, there was a dirty towel that was hanging from the curtains. There was trash on the table that wasn't cleaned up. Questionable tenants seemed to live in the hotel, and made me uncomfortable walking from my car to my room with my granddaughter. The Red Roof Inn was clean and convenient to the freeway and downtwon Palm Springs.

This hotel has the insane policy of cancelling your room key daily, and not even notifying you in advance that they are going to do it so that it's at least somewhat convenient to walk down to the front desk. Twice, with hands full of materials, I fumbled with the lock with two different keys, only to have to trek to the front desk, wait 15 minutes […] while the clerk waited on other customers, and get the keys refreshed. Such callous disregard for your guest's time and energy are enough to keep me away from this place for evermore. Mehr

We found this hotel to be very dirty. The room had cigrerett burns in the bedding and on the floor. The bath linen was old, worn out and gray looking. Ther was a half roll of toilet paper with no replacements . I would rate this motel a no star unless you are a long haul trucker as it is located right next to a major truck stop on hg. 110 and very noisy. Water pipes SQUEALED whenever any adjacent room flushed a toilet or turned on water - very loud and all night long. The Night Auditor was dismissive and was not positioned to do anything. A truck stop is adjacent to the Inn and the trucks run their engines all night long.

My stay pretty good be it thatI only stayed one night.

This is a good place for an economical stay when on a business trip. The bed sheets are thin, but the bed was comfortable, not luxurious. A/C a bit noisy. Wifi and wall-desk were useful. Pleasant staff. Large room.

I have stayed at this property before. It's a basic RRI that was fine and comfortable, while also showing a bit of its age and reflecting the price charged. The room was good and functional, though the tub was "patched" and the bed a little tired. Single serving packets of shampoo and soap have replaced the little bottles - first time I'd seen that […] anywhere. The pool and spa looked inviting but it was rather late and the wind was pretty strong. Hotel check-in/out was friendly and efficient. There was plenty of parking with good lighting. Breakfast coffee and packaged muffins were available. Caution on the default room safe charge - you need to request removal at check out. There are many amenities in the immediate (walking distance) area - fast food, bar, restaurant, gas... even a bike store. All-in-all, it represented a good value for me and I would return there easily. Mehr

Hotel is a little further from Palm Springs than I'd like. One of our beds had huge ants. No fridge or microwave in room. Continental breakfast has a very poor selection of food items. The night front desk guy needs to work on his attitude but the day guy is very nice Pillows are super uncomfortable so bring your own. Not worth the money.

The guy on the night staff was very nice. The girl during the day acted like she was doing me a favor by letting me check out. The AC didnt work, and this is the desert. the place was clean but really rough around the edges. The cost was tripple what it was worth. It was really close to McDonalds , Gas and the freeway. about 12 minutes from Empire […] Polo Field. I'd skip this one and travel further down the road. Mehr

The person working the counter was excellent, but the rooms were horrible, Looks like the inside hasnt been painted in years and the rooms stunk. I switched rooms, but it did no good.

Lazy staff..filthy old room. Below my standards. Never again.

Great price and food near buy......

They put the wind turbines in this corridor for a reason! Other than the wind the place is fine, clean, no problems but nothing exemplary either. They need a new counter in the dressing area....some weird stuff stuck on the counter. All in all good value for the money but kind of out of the way from Palm Springs downtown....very handy to the freeway […] if you are traveling. Mehr

Next to a truck stop. Motel is located in an apparent wind tunnel. No towels, stained carpeting, a toilet that ran every 30 mins. The homeless guy at the freeway on ramp had a room next door. Not the best area.

The hotel was decent for the money as this can be an expensive area to stay in. Bed was not very comfy but everything else was ok.

Good price for what you get.

Staff was very nice. Check in was easy. There were cigarette burn holes in the sheets and blanket. What else did I expect for the money?
