Das im Preis enthaltene kont. Frühstück war ausreichend und gut. Neben den typischen US-amerikanischen Speisen und Getränke gab es auch Obst. Der Aufenthalt insgesamt war sehr angenehm. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war sehr gut.

"How did this hotel get such high ratings?"
Maybe we were too optimistic after seeing the high ratings for this place on hotels.com but we were quite disappointed overall. The room was smaller than the pictures led us to believe. But the biggest factor was the lack of cleanliness. The couch was dirty and ripped. The hallways smelled like smoke. The place was not all that well maintained. The […] staff was way below average in helpfulness and friendliness compared to other places. We were certainly not impressed, and will absolutely not stay here again. "Economical Choice"
This hotel had a nice swimming pool and friendly staff. The breakfasts were good, but with only one attendent working food ran out quickly. The day before our check-out date our room keys were deactivated and there was some confusion about cleaning our room. The front desk staff quickly fixed our key issue and gave us extra garbage bags for our trash. […] The location is fantatastic if you are attending an event at the Independence Events Center, as we were. The resturant and entertainment options close by were also very good. "Quiet and Clean!"

Stayed here while visiting relatives in Independence. Really liked the two-room suite, especially travelling with a small child. The room was clean and well-maintained. My son loved the pool! "A very happy New Year!"
I'm shocked by the low rating because my experience was phenomenal! My four little cousins and I brought the new year in at this hotel. It was great because we were able to swim (great indoor pool area) and cook dinner in our room. I would have preferred more space in the common area, but it worked for us. The only downfall was there was no oven in […] our room and that's kind of needed to make biscuits for breakfast. Fortunately the staff was WONDERFUL and offered to bake our breakfast items in their kitchen. The hotel is right across the street from the mall as well as other great shopping spots, down the street from Walmart and close to several great restaurants. "Nice but needs attention to detail."
I would have rated higher, but for the mildewy smell in our room and the fact that the corners in the bathroom were dirty. Made me feel like they don't take as good of care as they could/should. "Great hotel all around!!"

"bad start w/ good ending"
Check in was bad, hotel confused about how to handle transaction with expedia, numerous phone ca lls, etc. Very frustrating after long day of travel. Then they sent us to a room that was under maintenance and completely torn apart. When we did get to a room we found it very comfortable. We were over all very pleased with the hotel, breakfast, etc. After […] leaving we discovered we left an item in the room and called to have them hold it for us. When I went to pick it up it took the staff about 35 min to locate it and get it to me. I found this annoying as well. I would give this a 3 star +++ review. We had a great time and was sorry to go. Hot breakfast was great and had many choices. The king bed was really comfortable and the studio room had a full kitchen including dishwasher. The hotel was really quiet and very clean. It definitely lived up to the Marriott Hotel name. It was near shopping and also near […] the Independence historical sites. No fee for parking. The summer temp outside was hot but it was not in the hotel!
