BreakFree on George - Haymarket

Hotel was clean. Our room had no view. Balconies are too small, only standing room for two adults. Staff were helpful. Biggest drawback was the view from the room.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights, and it was very unpleasant stay. There were glasses in the hotel room and I had it cut and injured, have it examined by the doctor. The hotel manager filed and reported this accident, however I have not received any written or verbal reply from the hotel yet. Arranged the hotel-airport pick up services with the front […] desk, but on the departure day, after 30mins of scheduled time, the hotel double checked with the company said "no booking" from this hotel. very convenient for most things very clean room though a little noisy at nights with traffic.

So close to china town and public transport. All the Hotel staff including cleaners do a marvelous job!! Will definately stay again!!

I enjoyed staying at this hotel but found the stairs leading down to Reception a problem with heavy suitcases. Very conveniently located, comfortable beds but rooms not attended to until late afternoon which I found disconcerting.

We check in three room together in January with family. We have to ask the front desk to kill the small fly in the room. But it keep on coming out and we don't know it come from where. Nice hotel picture attract me to book it but I was quite disappoint. Noise from the bus will not let you get sleep at all. Lucky I get to change to the other side of […] the hotel after two days. Ideal location to get to all the sites. We walked everywhere without a problem. Great to be in Chinatown near all the markets.

Busy area of Sydney in Chinatown and close to Darling Harbor. LOTS of people - similar to NY City! Easy transportation with light rail and buses literally outside the hotel. One Multi ticket covered all transportation for a week including all the ferry system - incredible value for an incredible transportation system. Hotel was fine. Busy Chinese Restaurant […] across from the lobby must have been very good as it was packed every night. Room was fine and quiet. Large, clean, neat and updated with large, opening windows. My ONLY criticism was that the shower apparatus was broken so not adjustable up and down, and a little bit of mold in the grout. Good towels and bath products provided in the large bathroom with full sized tub. Beds were comfortable with nice sheets and down comforters and multiple pillows. A/C was super efficient and would cool the room in minutes. Very comfortable and very clean. Coffee, sugar, tea and milk for use in the am in the cute kitchen. Darling Harbor 3 minutes by light rail. CBD just minutes by bus. Paddy's market just about across the street. Hop On Hop Off Bus goes right by stopping 1/2 block away. Would definitely recommend as a 3 - 4 star hotel. The front desk staff friendly and helpful at all times. They arranged a shuttle to the International airport at a very reasonable cost rather than lugging bags from station to station. Lots of Sydney entertainment/sightseeing literature in the lobby as well. Overall, I could/would stay here again. Airport train to Central Station, hop the light rail to George street and the hotel is across the street. Easy access. Mehr

The room itself was quite large, modern and quiet in spite of being in the centre of Sydney. But there was mold in the bathroom and the daily cleaning was dreadful. I did a test by scattering some small bits of crisps on the floor - after 4 days with no vacuum cleaning, I cleaned them up myself. We choose this hotel because of its great location. We were not comfortable with the interior of the room because although we have reserved a one-bed room apartment, we found that there was no door separating the bed room and the sitting area and it just like a studio. We were assigned a room on the 1st floor facing the street and it was very noisy […] during the day. While there are pubs close to the hotel and music is loud even at mid night. Mehr

the hotel location was very nice. near bus stop, church, paddys market, and almost all kinds of restaurant you would go in and enjoy their foods.and most of all, walking distance to places you want to go. however, in our case, we had a handicap w/us, who uses wheelchair, and most of the staff have difficulty in operating the wheelchair lift and it was […] time consuming. some of the staff are not so friendly and accomodating especially those in the morning shft. unlike those at night shift, like charmain, was ok, she even tried to book us for our local tours,but the tour agent was a dissapointment, letting us wake up 5am, to be able to be ready at 7am. but they didn't come to fetch us. The most friendly one i observe was amil. assistant manager at night shift. she hears our complain on any topics that may arise from our 8 days stay at the hotel. being not accomodating morning shift staff is not an allyby saying they are just busy in the morning, if you are in this kind of work, you should always be very accomodating to the needs of your client. i just don't like the concept of light make up room, wherein, they don't bother to clean up tabletops, glasses that were use. It's on the main road of the 555 free bus and it closes to the most of the tour places. It has a small kitchen that people can cook by themselves within their own room.

Contrary to many of the suggestions, this hotel is very clean & well maintained. The toilet was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The room was nice and spacious. There was a small kitchen area which was good enough to make some breakfast in the mornings. There was also space for sofa, study table and a nice flat screen TV. The only complaint one […] would have is the noise from the street but then if you close the windows, the noise reduces from 90% to 10%, so not too bad. May be those who are not sound sleepers might find it uncomfortable. Its location is right on George street, so reaching the main city centre is just a few mins walk away. Mehr

While spacious, our room had probably seen better days and it was like stepping back in to the 90s. The furnishings were dated and worn, and the bed mattresses desperately needed replacing. It was not really what one should expect from a four-star hotel. The internet connection was oddly located right next to the bed, rather than at the desk. Sensational... I often stay in the studio apartments when I am working late in the City. They are comfy and equipt enough to whip up a decent meal and unwind after a hard day. So nice to have a balcony in the City. I often request certain rooms and extra towels etc, the staff are always very happy to look after everything.

Well located and clean. A bit old with OK small beds

Had a wonderful time as we are from Bathurst NSW. We had a wonderful time shopping on George St and in China Town and at the markets. We also went down to Darling Harbour kids enjoyed themselves and so did we. We went to Nicks for lunch it was great. Thanks.

nice, standard room with all the basic facilities. Room was very clean and spacious. Close to the central station. Good for a business trip. I will stay there next time.

hotel is in a convenient location- close to train station and darling harbour convention centre overall the place is very tired looking. bed was lumpy- most uncomfortable despite me being away from 7am to 6pm my room was not serviced 4 star rating is excessive in my opinion

Front of hotel and access leaves a lot to be desired and location is very noisy but the room was comfortable and clean and the staff very helpful

This hotel is located in a vibrant part of town. The lobby shares its space with a Chinese restaurant so there are some food smells if the restaurant is open but once you are out of this area there are no odours. It is situated away from downtown Sydney but transportation (bus, train and tram) to there and all the must-see sights is very close. easily […] accessible and cheap. The train station is also the centre for all Australia travel. Darling Harbour is a very short walk away. If you are looking for a four start hotel, forget it. But if you are looking for a reasonably priced, clean hotel, this is it. Mehr

Let's face it, the USD sucks right now, so unless you want to budget $100+ per person per day for food, consider staying at a place like this with a kitchenette, it worked well for us, making simple breakfasts and snacks. The studio was very large, I appreciated the clean, simple, yet warm decor. The staff was extremely helpful and nice, making a note […] that it was our anniversary. As mentioned by others, you can hear the traffic on George street, but it never bothered me and I slept very soundly. The rooms could use some minor additional elements, a cheap LCD is 10x better than a tube tv, an additional chair and cutlery would make meals much more feasible. Staff were rude and disinterested!!! Housekeeping didn't even wash the dishes.

A fantastically located hotel. All must-see sights are in walking distance to the hotel. I've have not taken a taxi or a any other transport during my stay and I could walk to all of the main attractions. It is an easy walk to Circular Quay (all ferries depart from there) or Darlington harbour. You can catch ferries to all parts of Sydney. Hotel staff […] were really helpful and kind. The hotel room was fine, it was nothing special, but we really only needed to put our head down at night time. The location of the hotel was good being on George Street. The only complaint we had was that the hotel hallways smelt extremely malodorous - to the point where we had to hold our breaths as soon as we left our hotel room door until we got […] out of the lift. We just wanted a nice clean comfortable room. Not flashy but nice. This was great. The room was very clean and comfortable, lovely hot shower with great water pressure. It was quiet at night even though our room was above Chinatown. This might not be what is important to everyone but it was to us. We stayed three nights and have no complaints. The location […] was perfect for what we wanted, almost across the road from Capitol theatre, 2 blocks to Monorail and light rail and central station and right on George st. L'hotel est bien situé, propre, environnement sympa, chambre conforme à ce que l'on souhaité, bien que située côté avenue la chambre était trés peu bruyante. Ménage fait tous les jours.

Perfekt beliggenhed og i gåafstand af de ting man SKAL se i Sydney.

大堂很破旧，好在房间还行，有微波炉还能自己做个早饭。位置很棒。

시드니의 가장 중심인 George street에 있어서 시내 구경하기에 편하다.

Great location. Provided kitchenette that was very convenient. They even provided microwave and cutleries. A bit slow in check in.

セキュリティーがしっかりしていて、滞在した部屋はとても綺麗でした。簡単なキッチンが着いているので、外で買ってきたもので料理を楽しむことも可能。室内にはＬＡＮケーブルも引いてあり、とても便利でした。 立地もよく、夜遅くでも周辺が明るかったので、一人での滞在でしたが、特に不安は感じませんでした。幅広い世代、国籍の宿泊客を見かけました。

la moquette dans la chambre n'est pas aspirée tous les jours une grande serviette et une serviette invitée par personne c'est peu, il faudrait une autre serviette par personne surtout lorsque l'on est une fille avec les cheveux longs

Hotelli sijaitsi loistavalla paikalla, "pääkadun" varrella. Lähellä oli paljon aasialaisia ravintoloita. Huone oli tilava, siisti ja erittäin mukava. Ainoa huono puoli oli kadulta kantautunut kova meteli.

hotel très bien situé, très propre, personnel très accueillant faisant l'effort de parler français point négatif : la rue est bruyante et l'isolation phonique est à amélioré (on entend très bien les voisins lorsqu'ils parlent un peu fort)

Très bon emplacement,visite de la city et tous les centres d'intéret à pied. quartier agréable et trés attractif le soir (quartier chinois) les moins pas de double vitrage chambre donnant sur la rue très bruyante le matin. très peu de vaisselle et d'ustensiles de cuisine mais il suffit de demander ,
