Hotel is great! I love the location! Restaurant, bar and small dance floor are great. Music at dance floor was way too old, could stand to be updated. Amenities in room were disappointing.

Make sure you don't get stuck with the 'standard queen' above the kitchen ...except of course if you love wreaking of hamburgers and onion rings, I've stayed @ Zsa Zsa numerous times ...by far best overall hotel in Houston, possibly TX. just make sure they don't put you above the kitchen :)

Exquisite staff, superb location, awesome parties that you won't have to listen to if you decide to get to the room a little earlier than the other guests!

I felt like I was in another country without leaving my home town Houston, TX. An experience I will never forget. I highly recommend Hotel Za Za to everyone whatever the occasion. I plan to go back for a week-end this summer.

We love Hotel ZaZa and I make sure that us where we stay in Houston. Not your cookie cutter hotel.

the hotel is very trendy; for a middle aged person it is too dark and the smaller rooms are New York sized. the restaurant is also trendy, good live misic, busy bar; the room is rather noisy; the wait staff are wonderful; the menu reads with promise but the actual food does not live up to it

The hotel itself was very nice. Amongst the best I had stayed at before. My only gripe is the over priced valet. They attempt to make it up to you in free shuttle service (within a 5mile radius). The only problem with that is, I feel obligated to tip them. So I end up spending even more for transportation. Overall, the stay was awesome. this was my first timet o stay at Hotel ZaZa and it was absolutely amazing. ive been there for brunch a few times and knew i needed to stay the night and get the whole experience. truely a breath taking hotel. my room was so luxurious and inviting, i couldnt believe i was there. i did have a bit of sticker shock with the basket of snacks so i did not […] indulge in that but other than that... i would stay there again and again. i would love to stay in one of the magificent seven rooms. i highly recommend Hotel ZaZa to those who are looking for a romantic and luxurious stay in houston. bravo and you have a customer for life!!!! Stayed for a night. The room was great, a bit small but quite comfortable. The restaurant was great, super service there with very helpful staff. The only fly in the ointment was the service at the main desk, I had to wait 5-10 mins with only one person in front of me to check-in. Both the ladies behind the front desk were helping out the guy in front […] of me. Why you need two people to help out one person, I can only guess. My colleagues enjoyed our stay. We especially appreciated the car service that took us to Kroger to buy some supplies for our event. He waited and then took us back to the hotel. Great service!

Excellent hotel, excellent attention to detail and the service from bellman to maid was outstanding. I don't use these words lightly, I've stayed many places this was by far the best.

My recent stay at Hotel Zaza was fantastic. The staff were extremely helpful, and he shuttle service was super convenient. I will definitely stay there every time I travel to Houston.

My Husband and I spent our 1 year anniversary at Hotel Zaza and it was wonderful!

This is one of my favorites and I loved finding the hotel at hotels.com since the reservation desk at the hotel said they were sold out for the evening when I called earlier. Made for a great night and morning!

So my husband and I make reservation to Hotel Za Za.Big! Joke! Hence the new Name for the place... Hotel Ha ! Ha! To start off check in time is 4:00 p.m. We arrive at 5:00 and were quickly told the room was still being cleaned??? And why would that be when the guest that stay here are paying a very high price for just a room with a bed in it... Which […] is exactly what it is. Not to mention they insist that you Valet your car and then charge you $27.00 for that. Excuse me... I think a s a courtesy this fee should be waived just alone on the price of the room with a bed in it and the guest are paying such a high price... Come on people... Are we so intent on paying an outrageous price for a room that you are not even allowed to step out on your high priced balcony and smoke a cigarette?? Just to be fooled into merely smart hotel merchandising?So. there are no bathtubs? Why? Because you can go down to the spa and pay!!! to take a bath... Ha! Ha! What a smart trick... Every who is going to stay at a hotel wants to maybe relax in a hot tub after spending money and sight seeing all day. But at Hotel Ha! Ha! you don't have that option either in your overpriced room with a bed in it. You only have a shower... A shower that you can't turn on and adjust the water temperature unless your inside it all ready get burned by hot water or frozen by cold water. Or you could stand outside and reach in to adjust the water but then water is getting all over the floor !!! Again... What kinda place is this but a big charade to fool the guest that he/ she are getting treated like royalty. And as far as the overpriced rooms they are nothing special... A room, a bed, a t.v. , and $ 4.00 candy.. So if you are a person who likes to be taken for a fool where your money is concerned. Then I highly recommend The Hotel HA! Ha! Mehr

The valet is slow. There is no coffee pot in the room. The bathroom had only one sink and no bathtub. Front desk was rude. $6 for a bottle of water. The only good thing was the balcony.

A truly uniquely gorgeous hotel. Only stayed overnight, wish I could've had a bit more time. Lots of lovely artistic surprises, with art on my headboard, fresco-type art in the elevators, art in the hallways - loved the funky print of Gary Oldman's Dracula across the hall from my room! They have a business center equipped with a PC and Mac, along with […] printers, etc., for those of us who aren't traveling with laptops and therefore can't make use of the wi-fi. Dog-friendly (they had a bowl of kibbles and a bowl of water at the main entrance). Not very smoker friendly (it took me a walk around the place to locate the ash tray). And BOY was it hot (that's not Zaza's fault). But really, a great, fantastic place. Highly recommend. Mehr

Only issue was valet parking. Took a very long time to get your car. Call 30mins prior and still had to wait for car.

Had business in Houston and coupled it with a visit to my son whos is a student at Rice. Perfect location for that, also near Texas Medical Center. A boutique style hotel, with very comfortable beds. Rather than a coffee maker in your room they have coffee on every floor, which I think is better, as the coffee is better and you don't have to fiddle […] with it yourself. Roof service was decent, but not great, but the bartender brought me my drink immediately rather than waiting for the food to be ready, which was a nice touch. Free wi-fi is nice, and the hotel clearly has a vibe, and certainly more of a soul than those fancy chains in the Galleria area. Mehr

What a wonderful place to visit. The hotel itself is an experience. A happy, smiling staff that was eager to please. The lounge was wonderful and ZaSpa was top notch. My partner said he received the best massage he's ever had there. (muscle meltdown) We also got spray tans - my first - and were very pleased. The pool area is gorgeous and a great place […] to meet new friends. The waitstaff was very geneorous and sweet. I am fair skinned and one of the staff actually moved an umbrella TO ME! Wow. It IS worth the upgrade to at least a Fantastico Suite - LOTS of room to spread out and entertain and the views are AWESOME. You won't want to leave. While you're there, check out the gym and maybe go for a run in Hermann Park - wonderful track there and only about 3 blocks South. And of course there are the neighboring 16 museums within walking distance. We can't wait to go back. Trust me, you won't be disappointed - you'll be AMAZED! :) Mehr

Overall, the room was nice, but the service was so bad that we won’t be returning.

My stay at the Hotel ZaZa was great. This hotel is exquisite and my room was immaculately cleaned. The staff was very friendly and courteous. Even the room service was on time and the food delicious. Can't wait to come back!

We really enjoyed our stay at hotel ZaZa. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. I especially enjoyed the tea/coffee service they offered for free every morning. The free shuttle took us anywhere within a five mile radius of the hotel. So even though the hotel was a little pricey we saved money on taxi fares.

Tub was clogged and ac did not work.

Booked spur of the moment after having had my wedding reception 20 years ago at the prior Warwick Hotel (same location/same building) pre-Zaza ownership. They have done a great job with the place, made it funky and fun, very colorful and with a fun vibe that makes you feel like you are not in Texas but a swanky, fun, cool place. Great location. Friendly […] staff. Went to pool for an hour breather from work and had a great cocktail and chill out session by their re-done pool area. Room was quiet. Recommend it for those looking for an alternative from downtown hotels as it was only five minutes to downtown corridor. Mehr

We only stayed one night but would love to have stayed longer. We had a King Balcony room. It would be great if the weather was a bit cooler so you could sit outside and enjoy the view but it was still nice to leave the drapes open. Loved the bed and linens, shower, decor, etc. The restaurant is super good. We'll be back ZaZa!

We stayed at Hotel ZaZa due to a recommendation from a close friend. Overall I was not impressed by the hotel. Our room was not up to standards for the price that was paid. The curtain was ripped and the A/C was broken. When checking out , I (and a couple in front of me) waited several minutes for a desk clerk. Nearby the concierge man was carrying […] on a personal conversation instead of serving clients that were waiting. I finally approached the concierge desk to ask if check out was necessary, he did not end his conversation, rather a bell man came and answered my question. They should have a sign on the front desk indicating that check out was not necessary or someone to allow guests to know this information instead of keeping us waiting at a desk. For the price of the stay, I would have expected better service. Mehr

Wonderful stay, wonderful staff. Hotel shutttle service convenient.

Weekend trip in Houston for a combined Father's Day-son's birthday excursion to listen to music at Anderson Fair...splurged on Hotel ZaZa and used one of my hotels.com rewards nights. We could not have had a better stay -- we booked a Fantastico Suite, which technically accommodates two guests in a king bed, and planned for my son to sleep on the couch […] in the living room. Upon arrival, we were greeted with champagne by the hotel concierge, a great touch after a long hot drive. At the front desk I informed Kat that we actually had an extra person and learned that Hotel ZaZa does NOT charge extra person fees. Kat also arranged to have extra bedding and pillows delivered right after we checked in. Our 9th floor suite was beautifully appointed, with amazing views overlooking the gorgeous pool area and the surrounding neighborhood and skyline. The valet parking was fast and efficient, we never had to wait more than 5 minutes for our car despite an abundance of weekend parties and other activities taking place at the hotel. I don't know if they just forgot or what, but we were never charged for the overnight parking nor for the two sodas and one beer that we consumed from the in-room minibar, even though they swiped my credit card for incidentals. The lobby was constantly bustling and noisy, but the rooms and hallways were consistently quiet and serene. The amenities at this hotel are too numerous to mention, but everything is high quality and done extremely well. Very strong attention to detail. There were TONS of staff available to assist with every little thing, and all of them were polite, courteous and eager to help. The pillows and bed linens are to die for. Only complaints I have are the beds are HARD and the length of time waiting for an elevator in this fast-paced, busy environment. Overall, an excellent experience that I would love to relive on future visits to Houston. Mehr

The hotel ZaZa in Houston is a fabulous boutique hotel located near the fine arts museum. The hotel vibe is hip and edgy but not at the expense of luxurious comfort. Room was good sized and bedding and linens of high quality. Nice amenities and very clean. I would definitely stay here again.

Initial room smelled of cigarette smoke, and had to change to a smaller room as no other rooms were available. Hotel was right next to the Houston Museum of Fine Arts, which is why we chose it. However, the room rates, restaurant and room service are all overpriced for what you get. Even the valet parking was expensive.

I booked my room at ZaZa last minute and was over impressed with this hotel. It was modern, chic and everyone was so accommodating. They even gave us a complimentary drink in their swanky bar! The breakfast was divine and service was impeccable. Will definitely stay here again!

The staff was amazing and the hotel is lovely. I've NEVER had so much attention, especially as we drove up. The valet guys were fast and courteous. Everything was fine and it's a beautiful hotel. The location could not be better, especially if you intend to go to the museums, zoo or university. I used to love this hotel but over the past year it's quality is slipping. The decor is divine but the smells are killing me. Usually it's just an overpowering air freshener in the elevator but occasionally bug spray in the room itself. And this time it was SO strong I could barely stand to be in there. Thank goodness I got a balcony room, but even […] after 3 straight hours of having the door all the way open, on a windy day even, I could still smell it. I asked to change rooms and was told someone would come up to show me another room. No one ever did and it was so late I couldn't bare the though of packing up again so I fell asleep. My guest the next day complained of it too, but thankfully we could open the balcony door again until we left. Still, this is UNACCEPTABLE and seems to be a pattern lately. I won't stay there again which is such a shame as it used to be my favorite Houston hotel. Mehr

We had a great time. The hotel is fun and modern, and close to wonderful parts of Houston.

The carpet on our room was wet in certain areas??? The service at the restaurant for breakfast was a lot to be desire for. Personnel needs training. One of the elevators was out of service most of the time. The Lobby and social areas did not smell good our clean. The valet parking was not efficient. They had less people at peak hours and so many […] available when there was not need which made us feel unconfortable. I love staying at ZaZa everytime I come out to Houston. It's convenient to the hospital, shuttles take you anywhere in 5 mile radius, location is beautiful w/ museums surrounding. The pool is beautiful w/ plenty of lounging. Staff is kind. I love the intimate feeling of it. It's a great place to get away for a romantic weekend or for business. Monarch […] is delicious. It was horrible, room to close to elevator, constant noise, was awoken several times even with a do not disturb sign, horrible service. waste of money
