Gutes Hotel, in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Wallstreet , am südlichsten Ende des Broadway. Sehr nette Bedienung. Enges aber sauberes Zimmer mit zwei Kingsize-Betten.

Großes Zimmer, gute Betten. Bei Zimmern nach hinten raus kann man bei offenem Fenster schlafen. Internet fürs Zimmer zu teuer. Im Bad leichter Renovierungsstau. Frühstück im Hotelrestaurant empfehlenswert, sehr nette Bedienung. Infostand für Sightseeing im Hotel sehr gut. Karten tlw. kostenfrei. Mexik. Pub +Chinarestaurant ca. 200 m entfernt. U-Bahn ca. 400m weg.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Hotel. Das Zimmer war sauber, zweckmäßig und der Service freundlich und aufmerksam. In direkter Nähe befinden sich viele Sehenswürdigkeiten (Stock Exchange, 9/11 Memorial, Trinity Church) und man erreicht 3 verschiedene Subway-Stationen innerhalb weniger Gehminuten. Außerdem die Fähre nach LongIsland bzw. den Anleger für die Boote zur Freiheitsstatue und Elis Island. Da an der Wallstreet Abends/ Nachts nicht ganz so viel los ist, kann man - für NYC-Verhältnisse - relativ ruhig schlafen, v.a. im Vergleich mit der Gegend rund um den TimesSquare usw. Ein kleines, aber feines, familiengeführtes (so schien es) Hotel, dass wir auf alle Fälle weiterempfehlen würden!

Wenn man das Zimmer oben hat, ist der Blick toll. Die Frühstücksfrage (es gibt beides: inkl. oder extra) sollte man bei der Reservierung klären.
Sehr schönes Hotel an ausgezeichneter Lage. Restaurants, Bar's und sogar ein Theater gleich gegenüber. Bell Boys sehr hilfreich und freundlich. Personal an der Rezeption z.T. sehr freundlich und z.T. weniger. Weinempfang am Abend sehr nett. Das Hotel liegt super, zentrale Lage zur Fivth Ave. und 7.Ave. dem Time Square mit den vielen Geschäften, Cafe´s und Restaurant. Sehr gut zu Fuß zu erreichen ist das Empire State Building und Rockefeller Center. Besonders nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit lohnt sich der Besuch am Times Square, wenn hunderte von riesigen Werbereklamen den Platz hell erleuchten […] lassen. Das Hotel ist nahe beim Times Square, was zwangsläufig etwas Strassenlärm erbigt. Dass aber die Klimaanlage etwa jede Stunde einen fürchterlichen Lärm macht, ist höchstens eine **-Bewertung wert. Wegen der hohen Temperatur und Luftfeuchtigkeit waren wir auf die Klimaanlage angewiesen. Sonst ist das Hotel sehr gut, auch wenn die Aussenansicht zeigt, […] dass das Gebäude in die Jahre gekommen ist. Innen gibt es verwinkelte Gänge, aber alles sehr gediegen. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral und ist dennoch ein bisschen vom Rummel abgeschirmt. Sehr nette und kompetente Bedienung von den Hotelangestellten. Einzig Negaitves, man hört die Wasserleitung der anderen Zimmer

It was a pleasant experience. 3 minutes walk toTimes Square, but perfectly quiet. The elevator always waiting for you at ground floor whenever back from hanging around. Definitely a good choice for a short stay in the big apple. Valet parking as a valuable option
We had a wonderful time in New York and The Muse was a big part of our enjoyable experience. The location was great, our room looked exactly like the picture. The staff treated us like friends. We'll be back!

Very happy with our stay. Reasonably quiet given the busy neighborhood. Had a king suite. 2 teenagers shared the pullout sofa in the adjoining room. This hotel had great location and excellent service. The rooms were extremely quiet and much bigger than I expected (for a hotel in Times Square). They held my bags for me after check out and called a car for me to take to the airport. I will definitely stay here again! Great Kimpton "boutique" hotel.

The service we received at the curb was rude. Later, when trying to retrieve our luggage, a hotel worker left our bags on a cart in the middle of the lobby and walked away. Otherwise, the hotel was fantastic, clean and very trendy. The person checking us in was extremely pleasant and helpful.

Stayed at the Muse for my wife's birthday and had a great time! The front desk (Marc and Melissa) went above and beyond helping making the experience even better for the both of us. The room was very comfortable and clean. I love how their attention to detail with little stand up "Reminder" cards. It's a checklist of things you can call the front desk […] about if you forgot anything, or need them to get it for you. Ordered breakfast room service and was very pleased with the portions. "Great place, reasonably priced"
This hotel is right near Times Square and couldn't be more convenient. It was much more reasonably priced than some of the other hotels. Very clean, comfortable, nice staff.... and free wine from 5:00-6:00. I would definitely stay here again!
"Is this hotel falling from grace..."
I have stayed at this hotel numerous times for business and I am a devoted JDV hotel customer, However I am worried this hotel is falling into the rut of many NYC Times Square hotels that can let service and property condition slide because they will always be able to fill rooms due to their location. This will be a shame if that is what happens to […] this hotel. Upon check in I as put into a room that had a very dirty bathroom. Hair in the sink, dirt on floor and on the picture across from the toilet numerous suspicious looking splatter marks. :( The room itself was looking a little worse for the wear. Hotels in high traffic locations such as NYC need to budget for more frequent room maintenance and linen replacement. The bathroom grout had mold in it and in general the room didn't smell very fresh. I went immediately to the front desk and told them my concerns. The front desk agent picked up the phone and called housekeeping to ask them to reclean the room while I was standing there waiting. She had to convince housekeeping to do this. She hung up the phone and said that they would be up in a bit to reclean the room. I said that I didn't want to wait for the room to be recleaned and would like a new room. She accomodated this right away and got me into a new room. The new room was clean and in much better condition. Hoping that my experience was a freak of nature and that in future stays I will find the same consistency I am used to at JDV properties. Mehr

The Muse was a perfect hotel for a long NYC weekend. The location was great - between time square and 5th Avenue shopping. The room was large, with a nice separate seating area and free wifi. I would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat. I was only there for one night but it is a PERFECT location, steps away from Times Sq and 5th Ave. I felt very safe (a woman travelling alone) with all the doormen politely greeting me as I came and went. The hotel lived up to all our expectations and more. Very clean and comfortable. The service by the front desk, concierge, bellman and doorman were excellent. Nice to have coffee in the morning and hot chocolate in the afternoon. Great times square location. Convenient to theater and restaurants.

First time taking my kids to NYC and had a great visit. . . The Muse boasts a great location and so convenient to many famous sites a first timer wants to see . . . it is a little ride to SOHO, Little Italy and Chinatown from here . . . all theatres, stores and super delicious brasseries and delis to upscale restaurants are within a short walk . . .love […] the wine reception at 5:00 p.m. and coffee/tea every morning. Lobby staff was friendly and inviting . . . greeted us every time we left the hotel and returned from our exciting adventures every day . . . would stay again and again here . . . :) Mehr

This location is right in the middle of Times Square, but quiet. We were 2 blocks away from our plays and directly between Times Square and 6th Avenue. Simply perfect. Well worth the money.

I have traveled extensivly for business and pleasure for over 40 years and the accommodations were exceptional, as was the service and support staff. There is no question that the Muse is the place to stay in NYC.
"Worst Stay ever at the Muse"
This was our 5th trip to the Muse. Historically, the staff was great and the service was wonderful. Even though we booked our rooms online, they charged a 300 incidentals fee. The staff barely spoke english and when i asked to speak with a manager she came out and was not nice at all. They were not helpful would not allow me to check into my room even […] 30 minutes early and really didn't care about me as a customer. She said she upgraded our room but forgot to mention there was construction on the building which started everyday at 7am and ran until 6 one night....it was so loud I could not take a conference call. Needless to say, I usually stay at the W but thought the Muse was a good deal. We won't be staying at the Muse anymore. Mehr

This is a GREAT hotel. Very friendly, helpful, fun staff, nice decor (themed after the Greek muses, as the name suggests), good coffee and wine. I don't love Times Square, but it is a very central location for getting to most other parts of Manhattan. "BETTER THAN MOST HIGHER PRICED NEW YORK HOTELS"
Great midtown location, close to theaters, shopping and lots of good restaurants. The hotel does a wonderful job of combining cozy, edgy and chic. (Ladies, you MUST check out the rest rooms in the lobby!) Free coffee and tea are available in the morning, hot chocolate all day and a wine bar between 5:00 and 6:00 in the afternoon. "The Muse Hotel NYC Perfect for 1st time in NYC!"
This was the perfect place to stay for my 15y old daughter and I for our 1st visit to New York (1 week stay). It was located in a great spot just 1/2 block from Times Square and a short walk to Radio City, Rockefeller Center and the Metro. The size of the room was surprisingly spacious (2 double beds) compared to other hotels I had looked at on-line. […] Also very clean and quiet. Don't expect a view from your room at this hotel. Windows are small and high up so you can't see out very well. Disappointing. Food in attached restraunt for breakfast was good. Convenient to timnes square action but street is crummy and a little scary at night.
"The Muse Hotel in NYC, central location!"
We were heading up for a getaway weekend and The Muse met the bill. Initially we hesistated, the TIme Square area was pretty congested and can be overwhelming (fun too!), but the hotel is a few blocks off the main drag and that gave it a buffer. The location is KEY, so central; we headed south to Soho, Union Square and north to Upper East for the Guggenheim, […] all easily accessible by the train or walking a few blocks to catch a cab going in the right direction. Weekend front desk Marc, was amazingly patient, made great suggestions on all sorts of things, including a fun brunch spot near NYU, The Strand (books!) and a market. Bed was super comfy, nice room (not huge) but perfect for us, and we could control the climate. I also left my pillow by accident and they sent it out the same day! Mehr

A half-block from Times Square yet somehow not on a busy street. In other words the best location for a tourist in NYC! Close to shows & any food you could possibly want. The staff deserves 6 stars!
