I know that the price is tempting and the location near the highway seems like it would be convenient, but DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL! In the course of 2 nights I saw at least 10 cockroaches all of varying sizes. I found them in the bathroom, on the desk, and even on the bed. The room had been converted into a non-smoking room, but was surrounded by […] smoking rooms and the linens all smelled like smoke. The door to my room was stuck shut due to a loose screw. When I told management about it they responded, "it happens all the time because the doors swell" and told me to "just put my butt into it". So after I scanned the key card I had to slam my body into the door in order to open it. I am sure that I disturbed my neighbors and appeared to be breaking into the room. The outlets were in awkward places in the room and there was not one near the nightstand and so I had to charge my phone on the desk at night. There were no outlet covers on the outlet behind the desk. I ordered a wake up call that never came. There were stains all over the carpet. The area is very sketchy and I left nothing in my car. The walls were very thin and people were up and yelling and running around at all hours of the night. It was very hard to relax or even fall asleep with how uncomfortable I was staying in this hotel. With this hotel you get what you pay for. The hotel is really close to the amphitheatre and the room was fine. If you think your getting some 5 star hotel look again, but it is definitely worth it if your looking for a bed to lay in after a concert.

Based on the moneys paid for a night stay was not a bad choice. But, being one of the coldest nights in Tampa to date, the heat did not work and when I went down for coffee in the AM was not able to get back into my room for approximately 40 minutes due to the battery in the door access going dead and having to wait for maintenance to get in just before […] 8 AM. it was good for a quick stay...

TV only had 4 channels that worked. Not the best people hanging outside yelling "Give me my money" at 3am and the cops were there every night. Not the safest area. Servce was very nice though.

had to stay in smoking room no internet they could take a reservation but not hold it was not happy at all

I had an Ok stay at Master's Inn but i do think the should deoderize the room i was booked in a NON smoking room that reeked of cigarette smoke......i don't smoke........but other then that the stay was very comfortable and i would recommend friends to stay because everything else was great ........the microwave workded the fridge and the cable TV ......the […] pool was nice and clean........... it was a good price for just me and my girl, for one night after a heavy clubbing night in the ampitheatre. would recommend it.

I went to Master's Inn and I knew I wouldn't spend much time in the hotel, but my friends and I did have an enjoyable stay. It's not the Ritz, but that's not what you're paying for. What I liked most about the stay was the staff. Check out time was at 11am and they let me stay until 4 for no extra charge, because my train didn't leave until 5pm. OLD OLD OLD, Very Old, Very Small Hotel rooms. We booked for just a crash and shower place in between Busch Gardens and the Hard Rock Casino. Internet reads that rooms have one queen bed or 2 doubles. However, ALL ROOMS only have doubles. No queens on the property. Our room had one double and it was ridiculously small for 2 people. If you choose one […] bed, get extra towels and soap when you check in. One bed is designed for one person. Not enough towels for 2. Hotel room was very clean, staff was VERY nice, very professional, lobby with free coffee, and an outdoor pool. This hotel is perfect if you just need a place to shower, sleep and change. Don't plan to stay here several days. Do not stay here if you are a large person. Rooms are small. I am 5ft2 and I felt like a giant in the shower. Definitely not designed for tall or large people. If you are a light sleeper, this is probably not the place for you. The walls are paper thin and I heard every word of a 3am conversation on the walk way in front of my room. Parking is very limited too, unless you have a handicap decal. Mehr

Nice room's friendly service,outdoor pool cheep prices and close to Hard Rock , Fair Grounds, & Ybor City. What else could you ask for.

Stayed because it was close to the 1800askgary amphitheatre. Average stay nothing special.

Room was clean but the door trim where the latch was was broken and I could tell that the door was kicked in before. And when the put the latch back on they only used one screw. So the latch was pretty much pointless. I got yelled at by security for walking down the stairs and making to much noise. But the noise came from the rocky stairs that had loose […] screws or something. Checked in at midnight. Went to sleep and woke up and checked out. Would suggest this hotel if that's yours plans. But definitely wouldn't wanna stay for more than a night or two. Perfect for a cheap place to stay to attend an even at the Florida fair grounds. Mehr

Outside look great. Just a place to lay your head right, because the Comp rooms at the H.R. are sold out for that night, and it's just a block away at 4 AM. But when you open the door and turn on the light,the roaches run every way but out the door,so you would rather sleep in the car. You notice that 1/2 a block away is a Fairfield Inn, and you'll […] take a cab. Good news is, we caught two and took them to the manager to prove our claim. We took the room for the convience not the ammendities, that doesn't mean we have to sleep with roaches. We had convidence in Hotel's .Com even for a1 1/2 star.Next time we'll just wait and go another day. I wasn't worth the loss of sleep and stress, and besides thet we lost at Hard Rock. I have stayed several nights at different times. Good value but the need the fox news channel and to get all the TV channels that they are supposed to get working. Every room that I stayed in TV did not get all the channels and each room was different on the channels it got. If there is something coming on TV that I do not want to miss I'd football […] I stay at a different hotel. Mehr

I just needed a hotel for the night and one that had access to a laundry. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was tidy. The bathtub, however, needed serious refinishing. It was extremely stained. Overall it was okay for the price.

The only reason I won't completely write off this place as a failure, is due to the lady that was working the front desk. She was super nice, and showed how great customer service can actually help out in a poor hotel situation. The hotel itself is very old and run down. The individual stairs creaked and two of them were actually loose. Not entirely […] safe. Room would not get cold, no matter how high I set the AC. Comforter had many holes in it, and all that was included was a thin sheet, and that disgusting comforter. No intermediate blanket like everywhere else. Area isn't full of hookers/drug dealers as older posts suggest...it's not the best area but it seems like it's been cleaned up a bit. There's really nothing around here though. Room was dirty, door didn't even close right. Had to put a chair against it.

Very friendly staff and very clean rooms the towels are pretty dingy so I suggest you bring your own but the the room wasn't too cold and wasn't too hot... Right by the highway I recommend it to anyone that wants to save money

Good for the money...convinient location!

Well I ended up booking this hotel because of its price. BIG Mistake! We went to Busch Gardens and ended up leaving after the fireworks, got to the hotel and which did not end up being as close to Busch Gardens as announced. Well it was 11:30 when we got there and we were sooo tired we ended up deciding to suck it up and keep our reservation. There […] was a hole in the comfort, the room is very outdated and the carpet disgusting, so was the shower. We were too tired to drive so we stayed. Thank God i had blankets and pillows in my car which I was able to put on top of the beds in order to minimize contact with the hotel sheets. my daughters were in their bed while i was unpacking my pajamas when they screamed "mom, a roach on the door!" DISGUSTING!!! I had to throw a shoe at it to kill it YUK! The room was Freezing even though I tried to control the climate. Needless to say we woke up really early to get the hell out of there as soon as possible. I must say its the worst place Ive ever stayed. Ive stayed at red roof inn for a far better price and far better quality, if you're looking for an affordable one night stay....I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK HERE! Mehr

I reserved a room with 2 full beds. One bed is 2 feet away from the air conditioner. Can you sleep with the noise from the AC and cold air blows at you if you want to have a comfort tempareture in the room? The hotel receptionist is not friendly. we found a deal online close to busch gardens and had stayed at howard johnsons in orlando the three days prior and in my opinion hojo was an overall 1.5. when we arrived we were surprised that here was MUCH better. The staff friendly, the coffee in lobby hot, the pool and rooms clean and best of all, no drug deals or hookers that could see! What more […] can you really ask for ! =) Mehr

Great for the price. Only down side the room was very cold when we checked in.

This hotel is cheap, I say you get what you pay for. The pool was fantastic and clean. The only complaint I have is in the parking lot around 3am a guy had his car radio FULL BLAST, but thats not the hotels fault, just a guy beind rude. I'd definitly stay again!

I think there should be wifi available to at least purchase for the rooms. Not having wifi in the rooms was a bit of an inconvenience. Other then that everything was clean and what I needed/expected.

Nice hotel. I liked the central location, security cleanliness and good for the dollar qualities the hotel offered. Came away with athletes foot. Hard as a rock pillows as well. Didn't sleep well.

Everything was decent. Just a few issues. The night stand lamp did not work & there was a pole looking thing sticking out from under the bed, like from the frame, i only noticed it because i tripped over it... It was cozy, just wish the blankets & sheets were better quality. Other than that, very nice stay for a great price.!

room was advertised with a queen sized bed. It only had a full size bed. If I was not travelling alone I would have complained about it.

No coffeemaker/no coffee No shampoo No refrigerator No elevator No hot water Sheets had holes in them The balcony is sinking so badly that portions of the 2nd floor are taped off Dirt/Grime caked into the corners of the carpeting appears to have been there for years

Masters Inn staff is very friendly and professional the rooms were clean and comfortable. The prices are definitely reasonable.The purchase of new beds would be a plus but the overall stay was suitable and I would stay here again and recommend Masters Inn to others.

iIf you're looking for an inexpensive place to lay your head and wash up and leave you found it anything more than that you didnt find it..I'm a male if I was alone I wouldnt care but I was with my 18 year old daughter and was a little uncomfortable with the place maybe more embarrassed but it was what it was a bed for 1 repeat 1 night..

hotel is definetly not a nice place to vacation. It was fine for what we used it for a place to crash after the concert. Wouldnt want to spend any amount of time there though....room was run down as was whole hotel....didnt see any bugs and beds were okay.

for the price is was inpressed by the level of cleanliness and hospitality. rooms are a bit outdated but well taken care of.

I was shocked when I went to use the toilet and found that it had not been properly flushed by the previous guest. I was in such a rush to use it that I did not say anything to the Front Desk about it.

I can only say the overall experience I had the the Masters Inn hotel at the fairgrounds was ok overall. The close proximity to the port and restaurants/gas stations was good, but, there were a few negatives to the hotel itself. No TV remote controll could be found in the room. In all honesty, I did'nt call the front office, it was late and I went to […] bed. The next negative was the outside noise from adults and children running and screaming outside up to and after 11:00pm. The only other thing I would warn someone is the room above us we could hear almost all the "intimate" goings on upstairs, from the start, to the finish. Mehr
