Hotel Chelsea - Miami Beach

Das Hotel befindet sich sehr zentral in wenigen Minuten ist man am strand und im zentrum. Leider sind die Zimmer sehr klein und ohne Kleiderschrank. Fenster lassen sich nicht öffnen und sind sehr hoch, es gibt keine Aussicht. Für ein oder zwei nächte ok. Nicht für Familien geeignet. Parkgebühren sehr teuer sowie Getränke!!!

Just the fact that they have an airport shuttle makes this a no-brainer for staying in South Beach, price wise. It is dark inside, but the receptionist was great (even coming up to the room to show me how to work the room key),the bartendress was fun (free drinks from 7 to 8) and the location is great for what I like in South Beach ( 2 blocks from the […] best health food restaurant, 3 blocks from the good shops.) If you want lots of white walls and a pool, don't come here. But if you like something a bit different and want to save $45 (each way) on cabs from the airport, book the Hotel Chelsea. Mehr

Check in 3pm, hotel allowed us to leave bags, left in the hallway as there was no place to store them, not taken our room when it became availble, room was nice, clean, but very dark, minimal lighting. No suitcase stands,no space or shelving in the bathroom for personal items. The bathroom floor higher than the room floor by about 2 inches creating […] a tripping hazard,toe stubbing experience. They claimed to provide complimentary shuttle, we requested the shuttle to airport, when we arrived for the shuttle, hotel front desk staff member indicated no record of booking, and when she inquired reorder the shuttle, excuses, first one was the shuttle is broken, not availble, not working between certain hours, we had to payfor a cab, making it not that great of a value. 7-8pm, free drinks, limited to coke, sprite, gingerale, tonic w/selected alcohol only. Breakfast lacked in quality, quantity, served half a cup of coffee, raw potatoes, cold toast, got our eggs cooked sunny side, we requested over easy, and they forgot the bacon and brought it at the end of the meal. Ventilation system had a very loud fan and blew so hard the curtains moving. Decent place, staff friendly, able to borrow towels for the beach while waiting, location was great to night life, shopping. Mehr

We booked this location for a getaway before I cruise. Stayed there 3 nights. Was a little worried because the price was so low about how good the hotel would be. Well I was very happy. Extremely clean, air worked great, beds were very comfortable and very clean. Shower was extremely hot and the bathroom was clean with fresh linens. The locatioin was […] perfect, we walked everywhere and even rented bikes one day just blocks away for 24 hours at a very cheap rate. Eat down on Espanola Way, great cuban food and Tapas. Free airport shuttle to the hotel and they called us a cab to get to the cruise terminal for $22. I would stay here again. Mehr

We travel a LOT and this hotyel was by far the WORST ever!! Do not stay here if you want to sleep. The walls are thin and the staff will not help if you have a loud neighbor. It started with the shuttle not picking us up at the airport and when we called the desk girl said "just wait for one hour and the next shuttle will be there" huh??? Also when […] the party in the room next door didn't stop at 3 am the security or front desk again didn't help. We had a 2 yr old and 7 ye old with us and the couple next door finally stumbled out and was having sex against the outside (public)hallway wall and again the staff didn't help. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. We got 2 hr's sleep. NOT NICE Mehr

As a frequent traveler (1-2x a year for 15 years) to Miami, I was very pleased with my group's choice here at Hotel Chelsea. I usually stay in 4-star Art Deco on Ocean, but due to group traveling constraints, we booked at Chelsea. The walk is easy to Ocean and Lummus Park, and the surroundings are much quieter than Collins/Ocean. The hotel room was […] in great shape, plenty of closet space for me, husband and child. It was super-clean and updated (for Art Deco, remember this isn't brand new!) Sheets and bedding are nicely maintained and the bathroom was one of the better ones I've come across, as far as updating. In summary, as a frequent visitor, it's great for price, and an updated and well-maintained room (for those who don't want to skimp on the room because they want nice furnishings and air ventilation) and for those who don't mind walking two simple blocks. If you need to be in the thick of things, you may not like it here, but if you want leisure and top accomodations, this is it! I'll be back! Mehr

The hotel is in the heart of South Beach. You will be in walking distance to everything. The hotel is small but nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. It also has an elevator and strong (slightly loud) air conditioner. Walls are slightly thin but this did not disturb our sleep. Parking, there is valet for approx. $32a day or you will have to find […] parking on the street or in a lot (this can be tricky in south beach) you can pay up to 10 hrs at a time,you don't pay between 3am to 9am. Booked this hotel looking to save some money and I got more than expected. The staff was friendly. Great location, open bar from 7-8pm. The only 'complaint' is that the food was not so great, but with that location, you're close to great food in sobe.

This was a nice, reasonably priced place. I did not like the fact that the mandatory valet charges were not made clear in my reservation making, nor were they on my reservation confirmation receipt. It's 32 extra dollars per day in addition to the room rate for them to valet your car. Overall the hotel was nice, but omitting some charges to lure you […] in isn't my idea of fair. Mehr

Clean room; quiet hallway. Relaxing breakfast/lunch patio; nice lobby bar -- bartender Vanessa terrific ! Also -- take advantage of Happy Hour & free airport shuttle.

The Hotel was really nice, comfortable, quiet, clean and very convenient. The location was really great, not far from the beach. The only thing that I did not like is the phone set, it was working and they could not fix it. The stuff were extremely nice and helpful. I would go again to stay in this hotel.

We had a lot of fun on South Beach. Nice hotel will stay at again. I thought it was a little pricy at first but compared to everything else on South Beach it was cheap.

This hotel was conveniently located to all the SOBE has to offer. Nice clean room, comfortable bed and lots of pillows. Bathroom a little small but it worked just fine. Free happy hour a big plus. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay there again!

Overall nice hotel with close proximity to the beach, ocean drive and lincoln rd. Free happy hour was kinda a joke..only house liquor..no beer.. Had rum and coke.. awful...also not sure if it was because it was a Saturday night or not but it was very noisy from music and people at the lobby bar..we could hear it until 430am ish... kinda sucked. gf didn't […] get much sleep, which didn't make my morning that great! no fan to leave on to drown out noise or anything..just had thermostat so after it reached the certain temp it stop and then the loud noise was very annoying..but we did have a room some what close to lobby.. then there was a mix up with our shuttle...wanted 9am shuttle to airport and I guess lady at the front desk wrote down 9pm....so had to take 10am shuttle.. which rushed us a little in the airport and it would have been nice to get that extra hour sleep but we were already packed and checked out.. they did let us check in a little early though! overall nice hotel room and I guess miami doesn't sleep! I've stayed here twice now, and it's really enjoyable. The staff is friendly. The stylish rooms make you feel special. The minibar has lots of good stuff in it. The pillows are fluffy and the beds are comfy. I do wish there were wifi in the rooms.

To be fair the hotel is ok, but it's certainly not a boutique hotel. The reception is really run down and the carpet in the lobby has seen better times. The lift is tiny and could barely fit the 2 of us plus bags. Our room was also very small- fitted a king bed and not much else. Annoyingly, the TV was wall mounted on the side of the bed, oposite a […] hallway wall, so the only way to watch it was to lie sideways in the bed or stand... We were allocated to a corner room, where dark drapped curtains covered both corner walls from end to end, which made the room feel claustrophobic... Behind one there was only the room wall, the other had a window to an alley and another building a few meters away. We had no Internet in the room, although this Was available in the lobby. The bathroom was ok thou had seen better days- we had lukewarm water only on a few occasions. On the plus side, the staff was really nice; and free happy hour drinks were a nice touch. The outside terrace is a nice area where to relax after a busy day, and the location in sobs is quite nice, a couple of blocks from the beach. However, unless you can get it really cheap, here other much nicer alternatives in the area. Don't be fooled by the boutique hotel tag because certainly that is not! Mehr

Everything about the hotel is aesthetically appealing but the friendliness of the service is horrible. The prices at the restaurant were way too high. The so-called complimentary cocktail hour is at a bad time and only includes well spirits (not wine, or beer). There is no complimentary coffee in the room or otherwise. There never seems to be a housekeeper […] or maintenance on duty. The WiFi internet didn't work. One has to pay for parking at a garage four blocks away. We got a great deal on the internet, and honestly we were surprised with how sexy everything looked and felt, but the things that make a stay enjoyable were non-existent. I would only consider staying there again if I got a better deal than I already got, which was good. Mehr

Hotel was conveniently located. Staff was cordial but follow-through was lacking. Security lock on door was broken when I checked in and after multiple complaints it still wasn't fixed. Room seemed a bit worn but clean.

The hotel was nice. But directly across from my Was the vent so I either had to sleep with it off Which makes it hot or sleep with covers over my Head.

the hotel was very noisy their lobby at night the terrace and the neighbors above and in the hallways,had to cut vacation short & leave early.

Fun and not too noisy. Perfectly located. Laid back and stylish. I booked it because the deal was great, I was shocked by how nice it was. I'll be back.

My cousin and I spent a couple of days at the Chelsea. It was a great price for the hotel. The staff was very helpful, the room was updated and clean. The bathroom and room were small but it was good for two people. If you are three or more with a lot of luggage I would suggest getting two rooms. The location is great. A few blocks from the beach and near a lot of nightlife and shopping. The rooms are small, but stylishly decorated. Thin walls, you can hear people moving around, playing music, etc. If you just need a place to sleep and not too concerned about amenities, it's a great choice. If you are on the first floor expect loud music until 2-3am on any weekend. Also the HVAC makes so much noise that sleeping was out of the question even after the band stopped. After 2am we had a very loud house party across the hall. We complained and hotel security finally broke up the party @4:30. Ended up sleeping most of the first day of our cruise. […] I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who wants privacy, sleep, or comfort. Fabulous Location! Within walking distance to everything in South Beach

Hotel Chelsea was fantastic. The staff was extremely friendly & professional. It was walking distance to the beach and to Twist. There's a very reasonably priced sushi restaurant within 2 blocks. In addition it's a great place to eat as well and people watch. I highly recommend Hotel Chelsea.

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Chelsea. The room was nicely decorated, but a little dark. Opening the curtains alleviated that issue. The bathroom and linen were clean and fresh, however the hardwood floor was excessively dusty. The room had a flat screen TV and a deliciously stocked mini bar. The hotel staff was very curteous suggesting eateries and attractions. […] Proximity to the beach is wonderful. This lovely hotel offers a free happy hour... Thats right folks free drinks for one full hour. And to make a good stay great this sobe location offers a courtesey shuttle to the miami airport. My only gripe is that our room was a littke on the warm side, adjusted the thermostat several times but to no avail at night the room was cool enough to sleep comfortably. Very nice modern hotel. Wood floors. Rooms very dark perfect for sleeping in. Bed was very comfortable! Alot of street noise but really depends on your room location. Rooms are small but all hotels in SoBe have small rooms. Showers don't have doors so be careful how you shower as to not let water get on floor because it will leak to floors below you. […] Overall decent hotel would stay there again for location alone. The hotel was pleasant. The free happy hour and airport shuttle was nice. Just understand that an additional fee is charged on top of any online reservation. The employees were polite and seemed competent. I would return to this hotel in the future.

The hotel is in a great location. The staff is friendly. Free towel service and open bar from 7-8 are a plus. The outside, lobby, bar, and rooms are really cute. The room is a little small, but the King size bed is nice. It would be perfect if it had a pool.
