Medina Executive Sydney Central - Haymarket

Das Hotel liegt am Hauptbahnhof und ist somit mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel gut erreichbar. Ca. 5 Gehminuten entfernt fährt auch der kostenfreie Bus 555 ab. Die Fenster waren nicht zu öffnen und schmutzig. Wir hatten ein Zweibett-Zimmer. The Medina Syndey Executive Central was very central for public transport so that side was good, the downside was very uncomfortable beds and pillows and no fresh air, couldnt open any windows. service is very good, but room condition is very very poor..you can't get any fresh air at all..windows are sealed..walls are very dirty..lights are very dark..but location is the best part and then comes the service which is OK..not bad..fast but staff needs to smile more and be friendly.

If you're after space, Medina overall has a feel of an apartment. Enjoy the spa and sauna. However cleanliness requires a higher standard compare to other hotels.

We had a very enjoyable family holiday in Sydney based at this hotel. Loft accommodation allowed parents and children plenty of space. Close to major attractions and railway and other transport including taxis. Nice pool for family and pleasant gym for parents.

We found the location so convenient and close to all amenities and city sights including a short walk to Paddy's market.

Great location, but the room (one bedroom apartment) was so tiny you felt like having a panic attack in. Quality of the room was very poor, bath dirty, cd player broken, inch of dust on the tv. Very over rated!

The rooms were great with the kitchen and layout. Nice location which had easy access to all of the Sydney must see attractions. Also close to the transportation hub for longer journeys out.

The room is big and very confortable, thought the quality of the pilows we not the best and the internet rate was very high.

For an unknown reason our original hotel choice was not avaiable however we were kindly moved to a sister hotel and upgraded, we were notified several times during the change by both "hotels .com" and the hotel directly. This was excellent service.

It is an excellent location so near to train and buses and only a walk away from George St. Have never stayed this end of Sydney so will do that again soon. The hotel very clean comfortable near to some eateries also has a great kitchen in apt so that helps.As for noise , ...excellent ...hardly heard neighbours.Only thing I miss is a cafe for break […] fast. It all started with the dead skin flakes we clearly found on the bed. DISGUSTING! We then had a few of our friends come by for dinner as we had our toddler sleeping in the bedroom. At 11.00pm we had some Bouncer/Security guy come to knock at the door and say "only the people sleeping here can stay" like we were in some boarding school. This was a group […] of responsible adults for dinner, not a rave party! Conclusion: I would NOT recommend this place to anyone! From lack of cleanliness, to bad service... As a family of 3 including a 2 and a half year old child we were looking for a well located apartment where we could cook and wash during our stay. We were lucky to find this very reasonably priced hotel apartment very close to Central station (making the airport transfer by train very quick and easy)and just a short walk to Darling Harbour. The hotel […] was modern and clean and well maintained by housekeeping throughout our stay. We had little contact with the reception staff but what we had met our needs very well. The use of the pool and hot tub was great and the gym was good to have although we did not use it. across the road from Central Station and Bus stops, easy access, big rooms, great showers, very courteous and helpful staff, close to china town, capitol theatre, paddy's market, pubs and coffee shops, the two room apartments well catered, have stayed before and will again

Excellent staff, very efficient , obliging and friendly' Stayed 4 yrs ago in smaller apartment, This one on 3rd floor was more spacious and despite several big windows was quiet. Good light. Furnishings getting a bit tired and bed very low (difficult for partly disabled person) Similar low bed in disabled unit. It's just a stone throw away from few Asian halal restaurants - highly recommended - kasturi cafe & delima restaurant shopping for souvenirs are also close - haymarket transport - central station next door

This hotel has a very charming frontage, being a converted old postal office. Front desk people were pleasant and helpful. Price was reasonable for Sydney. Location is unbeatable for convenience and access, however try not to walk through the central station at night as there are a few people "sleeping rough" near the station taking refuge. The room […] was reasonably equipped. One fluorescent tube was not working in the kitchenette. The mattress sidewall has collapsed on one side making sleeping and sitting on one side of the double bed uncomfortable. I would advise management to get the matress replaced. Fittings the the bathroom are loose and some grub screws need tightening. Bathroom taps and other chrome plated items had lost their shine and starting to show their base brass material. I thought the Medina Exec Sydney was very good overall. I was initially worried that it was too far from the central city - but the adjacent train station and free Sydney shuttle bus compensates for the city fringe location. A well located hotel very handy to the city and Darling Harbour. I enjoyed staying in my self-contained apartment. It was sunny, comfortable, spacious and had everything I needed for my four day stay. I'll use this hotel next time I'm in Sydney.

Balcony rooms are the biz! Just lovely. Very comfortable and super friendly front desk staff.

Apartment was nice, kitchen very useful, the bedroom was a touch on the small side but overall good service and friendly staff. The main plus that this hotel is it is so close to central station very hand when your getting off a long-hall flight

Our stay with Medina Executive was better then we expected. I had read other peoples reviews and was expecting budget accommodation. The staff were friendly, we were upgraded from a standard booking into a 1 bedroom apartment which was modern and had a large living area with comfy lounges, dining table, ultra modern self contained kitchen, large bedroom, […] flat screen tv's in the lounge and bedroom and even though we were facing George Street we didn't hear a siren or the hustle of the city (on the 4th floor). The bathroom was the only place that makes the overall rating drop slightly as the bath tub could really use resealing and for anyone with an injury/elderly accessing the shower (which is over a deep bath tub) may cause a problem. On the plus side, there was a washing machine and dryer in a builtin cupboard in the bathroom. Paddy's markets and the entertainment centre is a 5 minute walk and we walked to the Casino in 30 minutes. There is also Gloria Jeans, Subway, KFC and McDonalds all across the street and small 7/11 stores on every street. The train station is directly out the front door and across a small park area. It only takes a couple of minutes to walk. If you have luggage it is a slight incline up the footpath (through the park) to the platform. Proximity to the centre of the City requires some walking, but there is always the train/tram/monorail. We hope to stay again. Thanks for the great deal Hotels.com Mehr

Location is not that great. About 45 min walk to Opera House on the verge of Chinatown with a lot of shady looking shops on the walk. It's also extremely crowded. On the flip side, it's got easy access to the train station and buses. Staff were good but rooms weren't that clean. You need to pay for laundry detergent so bring your own. Housekeeping didn't […] appear to clean the room - just tidied up during our stay. The hotel did a lot of renovations/upkeep on the exterior of the hotel so the pictures look great but the actual room isn't cheaply done. Stayed in a 1bedroom. For budget hotel, this is OK but I will not stay here again due to its location. Mehr

perfect location in the heart of the city, big room. The problem was the maintenance of the room. Several things were broken: Frame joint of cabinet, door of one warderobe could not be opened, fittings in the bathroom were not properly fixed.

Overall you can not fault the service it was awesome. But if I did want to cook a meal, my stove range hood & light did not work.

Great location, comfortable apartment with all amenities. Nice pool and gym room downstairs.

I had probably expected too much from the Medina Central hotel. The building was interesting however the studio we were accommodated in was compact and had a small side window, it was clean and tidy and good sound proofing from outside noise however there was little available in the hotel, i.e. no bar, restaurant or even porter service. The internet […] in the foyer was not working, no notice of this was displayed and when we asked where the nearest alternative internet would be available the receptionist had no idea and we had to search other hotels. The pool area was pretty and well shaded but no opportunity to buy a drink or something to eat. There was little or no atmosphere in the hotel and I can only think that the studio is not up to the standard of the apartments, perhaps we were unlucky. I would recommend the Darling harbour area for visitors if they are not sure where to stay. Mehr

Our room was larger than we expected, and the convenience of a kitchen and laundry facilities were especially welcome. A minor annoyance was the fact that housekeeping left us only one washcloth daily. There were two of us staying in the room, and when we notified staff they promptly brought a second, but it was annoying to have to keep asking for it. […] The tub/shower was higher than floor level and that made it a bit hard for me to get in and out of it, but I will admit I'm a bit older and not as agile as I used to be! Same with the furnishings, while they were attractive and contemporary streamlined in style, getting up from the low seating and low bed were at times a bit difficult, especially after a long day of walking the hills of Sydney. Despite these few negatives I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. As we chose not to drive while in Sydney, the wonderfully close access to transit choices made getting around much easier than expected. We recently stayed at the Medina Executive Sydney Central Excellent location right at the train station. Many buses leave from here as well as the light rail. Get the $17 day tripper pass for all day travel if you have a full adjenda. The hotel suite was huge, clean and modern. Comfy bed and great shower. Used the fridge but not the micro or stove. […] Get to the German bakery in the train station next door. There is an Asian restaurant in the neighborhood "Spice I Am" that is to die for. Get a bottle of wine across the street from the restaurant to have with your meal as most restaurants in Sydney allow BYO Would definitely stay there again Mehr

This hotel was PERFECT for a short break in Sydney. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who's planning to visit Australia. It's very convenient. You can walk to Darling Harbour from this hotel. You can walk to Broadway from this hotel. Central Station is just across it. The main bus stop on George Street is just across it. This hotel in the CBD is centrally located next to the Central Station and Railway Square. Transportation is all around so you can get to all locations. The loft rooms at this location are truly suites and are perfect. The front desk service is wonderful and the staff was excellent and their knowledge of the local area is bar none. I stayed in a loft appartment at the top floor which was very spaceous and well kept. No wifi but good broadband connection. Dishwasher, washing machine etc. in the room. No breakfast but a nice cafe in the same building as the hotel. Perfect location by the central station, right next to the central station bus stop. Pool, sauna, small gym. Affordable […] prices.
