Hotel Portofino Kulm - Camogli

Das Portofino Kulm hat ein etwas eigenartiges Verständnis vom 4-Sterne-Niveau. Im Wellnessbereich bezahlt man beispielsweise für das Dampfbad extra, die gebuchte Massage wurde wegen Krankheit der Masseurin 15 Min. zuvor gecancelt und am Gründonnerstag abends gabs nichts im Restaurant. Dafür war die Küche später dann zwar teuer, aber ausgezeichnet.

The location of the hotel is realy good, there is amazing view from rooms that viewing to the see, but and its a big but, the hote is old and we sleep in same mony in hotels with better locations and not less fancy. Recomended hotel only if the view is very important to you. Tzahi

Thin walls made for a very poor sleep. Smoke easily entered the room from neighbors even with towels rolled up and placed under the door. The Hotel has a spectacular view but this is common in this area.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The hotel sits near the top of a hill with a magnificent view of the sea. There is easy access to the Portofino hiking trails, which are lovely. If you like to be active and enjoy hiking this is the place to stay! There is an indoor pool as well. A free shuttle is provided several times a day to Camogli and you can […] use the beach of this sister hotel there although there is a substantial charge for rental of chairs and umbrella. Breakfast is good with a wide variety of foods. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wishes to visit the area and enjoys the beauty of a sea view and the access to hiking trails. Mehr

This hotel has been very nicely updated in keeping with its history. The entryway is grand, with marble from floor to ceiling it seemed. Upon reception, we were greeted and allowed to check in early. Our room was spacious with a full size closet, very nice bathroom with a tub and shower (unusual from our experience), and a comfortable bed (king size […] but is actually two beds pushed together). The restaurant, for both breakfast and dinner, offers outdoor seating with an incredible view of Camogli and surrounding villages, mountains, and the gulf. Our dinner was absolutely fantastic, and included free champagne, and the breakfast buffet was plentiful. Concerns: 1) The distance of the hotel from any other civilization is far, making the hotel seem like an entity unto itself. If you're interested in sight seeing, you'll need to hire a taxi or use the shuttle offered at certain times only from the hotel. 2) While the hotel boasts its affiliation with a spa, it does not tell you that there is a charge for using the open pool services. We were charged, without our knowledge, for using the hottub and steam room which are available and open in the pool area. 3) The hotel's website does not mention any transportation options for arrival so we spent 22 Euros on a taxi from the train station. We did not know until we arrived that there is a shuttle available and that it is free if you use it during the allotted times offered. Mehr

While this hotel has beautiful views, the location is not what we were expecting. We were expecting a hotel near Portofino since it is called PORTOFINO Kulm. The hotel is up on a hill, that is roughly a 70 euro cab ride into Portofino and a 50 euro cab ride into Santa Margharita. While the hotel does have a free shuttle into Camogli, it does not offer […] any type of service into any other town. Cab drivers charge you from the time they leave Camogli to pick you up at the hotel to the time you arrive at your destination. Therefore, when you step into a cab from the hotel you already have about a 14 euro charge racked up. This hotel would be ideal if you were looking for a completely secluded trip where you would not be leaving the hotel...otherwise, it is definitely worth the extra money to stay in Portofino, Santa Margherita, etc. Mehr

Muy lindo Hotel con características de calidad. La atención de la recepción no fue la mejor, siendo esto uno de las deudas que encontramos junto con la dificultad de encontrar el hotel dada su ubicación. Excelentes instalaciones.

+ : Great location (nice view), great pool and spa facilities. Nice staff. - : Poor continental breakfast (no egg, no sausage, coffee from the automat). - : Poor room (rusty window frames, 80's fashion cathodic tv, bad matress).

Het hotel is gelegen op een aantal kilometers (omhoog) rijden van Camogli en heeft fraai uitzicht.. Het heeft een iets groter zusterhotel gelegen direct aan het water bij Camogli waar je voor Euro 15 per dag kunt parkeren. Het is een keurig 4-sterrenhotel met een wat saaie inrichting. Kamers zijn klein maar compleet, weinig hebben zeezicht en nog minder […] hebben een balkon. Het hotel ligt rustig maar ten minste 2 kilometer van de eerste voorzieningen (in Ruta). Goede wandelmogelijkheden. Helaas erg onvriendelijke service met name bij het eten en soms ook bij de receptie. Mehr

Cet hôtel est situé au sommet d'une des collines surplombant Portofino (300m au dessus de la mer). Il y a donc vue sur la mer mais vous serez loin de la ville de Camogli, la plus proche. Pour sortir des environs de l'hôtel (isolé) la réception met à disposition un service de navette. La chambre est correcte et propre mais la literie est à remplacer. […] Les couloirs aux murs bleus, les faux-plafond blancs et les sols usés donnent une impression générale de vétusté. Le restaurant de l'hôtel possède une bonne carte et son service impeccable. Préférez une table au premier rang avec vue dur le golfe de Gênes. L'hôtel a un accès direct au parc régional de Portofino qui est très agréable et bien entretenu, si vous aimez les promenades bucoliques. Le petit déjeuner (inclus) consiste d'un buffet (garni), le wifi est gratuit, trois chaines TV françaises (août 2011), mais si le parking est gratuit il s'agira surtout pour vous de trouver un espace entre deux voitures déjà stationnées et sur la route grimpant vers cet hôtel. OK pour la situation ; mais les chambres sont au grenier excentrées, difficilement accessibles ,escalier descendant ,puis montant . DE PLUS ? travaux en cours sur le plafond c'est un tres bel hotel mais on se sent un peu floué par les chambres proposées piscine couverte agréable

First of all the hotel is not in portofino, it takes about 25 minutes to drive on lots of curves, then it is isolated in a park. So, if you want to go to a very silent place, old.. it is o k But don't think it is nice to have dinner in portofino or santa margheritta liguria and you can get back there in 5 minutes...

Avery nice hotel with an excellent view.

la posizione dell'hotel è fantastica, vista spettacolare. Da brividi al tramonto. Il servizio navetta verso camogli è veramente molto comodo e permette di dimenticarsi della propria macchina. Peccato che l'ultima corsa per tornare in hotel è alle 22.30. La pulizia è molto buona e il personale davvero gentile.

Hôtel trés agréable et dans un cadre superbe avec une vue splendide

tout est parfait, le personnel charmant, l'hotel a un charme désuet adorable, un emplacement merveilleux... le seul hic, est la taille des chambres et surtout la qualité de la literie... mais celà n'est pas irremplaçable...
