Hampton Inn New Orleans Metairie - Metairie

We were put in a room right next to a construction site (we could see the bulldozer outside our window) and were woke up in the morning due to loud noises. I thought that was quite inconsiderate of the hotel personnel to put someone on vacation at that location -- not deserving any customer service points on that. Other than that it's a reasonable priced […] hotel as the hotels are cheaper in metairie or a good alternative if you can't find a hotel in the french quarter. The hotel room was clean and nice, but the contruction on the roads makes getting to the hotel a real mess. Hopefully they will fix the roads soon. The breakfast was not very good - just bits and pieces and only one waffle iron. Not up to standard for Hampton Hotel

This is the 4th Hampton we've stayed in and good results so far! It wasn't the most updated but it accommodated us. I booked hotels.com online for 2 queen beds but when we arrived it was only a king with roll-out bed and handicapped accessible shower which was ok but not what we booked. I always love their breakfast, it even had oatmeal for the kids! […] It is close to NO but they are doing roadwork so be very careful. Price is average if you are a regular at Hampton which is twice what you'd pay for hotel six. Mehr

The hotel itself was very nice, clean, and the staff was friendly and willing to answer questions. The shuttle made an extra trip for us to the French Quarter, even during Mardi Gras. Finding a cab back was very difficult and expensive though because the hotel was far away. Construction on the roads near the hotel made getting in a bit confusing, but […] was not a big problem. Overall, we really liked the hotel, but would stay closer to downtown if we could. Mehr

It was really nice stay .The receiptionist was good to greet the customers.The breakfast was delicious .It was something new ,but good as each car parking is near the floor where customers stay.wishing that Hotel all the progress .

The shuttle was great to have available to bring us to the French Quarter and surrounding areas. Wish it ran more than twice a day though.

I only stayed 1 night but it was the best night sleep I ever had in a hotel. The breakfast that morning was great and you had hot and cold food. The only problem was getting to hotel with all the construction going on and it was a lot of traffic.

The area around the hotel is currently undercontruction and it is a nightmare getting in and out of the hotel. Now the hotel is nice, clean and confortable. The parking area was safe. Good hotel overall if you don't mind the mess. 11/28/2011

The hotel was fabulous! Very nice, clean, and comfortable. My only complaint was it was not very accessible due to construction.

Our hotel room was very clean and comfortable. The only issue was a leaking bath tub faucet. We could not get it to shut off. We reported it on our check out. The breakfast was very good and a wonderful selection. Also, the area was very clean. There is a lot of road construction around the hotel and is very confusing in trying to get into the hotel […] and not real easy to access out of the hotel for all of the traffic. Thanks. Mehr

Once I checked in and I did not leave my room until I checked out in the morning. I had a king size bed that was so comfortable once I sat on it I barely wanted to move to do anything else. And the most comfortable pillows I have ever had in a hotel. The bathroom is a good size for moving around in while getting ready with plenty of counter space to […] spread all my "girly" stuff out. Even though the hotel is right on a major thoroughfare, you only really heard the big trucks that passed. The hotel staff was very nice and pleasant. After being in my room about 10 - 15 minutes I received a call from the young lady at the front desk to make sure the room was okay and if I needed anything. I will definitely stay at this hotel again. Mehr

We couldn't have been more pleased with our accommodations. While it's not the most convenient to the French Quarter area, it's not that hard to get there, and the people working there are extremely helpful. I have stayed at countless hotels across the country, and I'd be hard put to say I found any nicer employees. Some construction around motel on roadway, but not to hard to navigate around. Parking garage was nice amenity. All areas of hotel measured up to Hampton Inn standards. Enjoyed our stay and would use this hotel again. Only 30 minutes from downtown N.O. activities and much better rate.

One night it took me 45 minutes to get to the hotel because of the construction. It was very confusing when streets were closed and only the correct combination of roads would get you to the hotel. Every day, when I got back to the room, they changed the thermostat to be 60 degrees. It was freezing in the room, and I even called the front desk to tell […] them not to change the thermostat, they still did. We need to conserve energy, setting it to 60 is stupid. Since there is road construction done at night time, don't expect to get any sleep at night at this hotel, they are right there where the construction is happening on the freeway, so it is extremely load. We were informed that we would have intermittent electricity the morning of the 9th. No problems that morning by the time I left to attend my Mother's funeral. However, when we returned that afternoon, no electricity throughout the entire hotel. Lasted for several hours. My son and I walked to the Shell station in front of the hotel. Walking down the […] parking ramp was easy, but walking back up the ramp in the New Orleans heat was brutal for me. I know this is not the usual situation for the hotel. However there was a lot of road work going on around the hotel. Mehr

The hotel was nice, clean rooms. The breakfast was also very good. The only complaint I would make was due to the construction on Causeway made it getting out more challenging.

Convenient, good value and clean.

The Hampton Hotel i Metairie was very convienent for the pier for the Crise Ship.
