Again, this was a very pleasant visit to the Big Easy. This hotel staff is the most professional bunch of folks I've ever encountered. They are a great representative of La Quinta and the City of New Orleans. I prefer to stay at this hotel rather than any other one in New Orleans. Outstanding hotel and staff.

Very cordial and helpful staff. A very fine stay.

We were very pleased with the hotel staff and room. The cleaning service was our only issue - the maid did not replenish items well, and did not replace a broken coffee maker. The staff was very responsive to us though. The location is an easy on/off of the freeway.

This place is horrible. The staff is nice but our tv didn't work. I had to call three times to get it fixed and they barely fixed it. The bathroom is also not as clean as it should be. Also the free breakfast is a joke. I won't be staying here again

Overall, the staff was very nice at the hotel. The cookies are a nice touch. Breakfast ends at 9:00, which is a little annoying. We got down there at 8:30 and everything was pretty much gone and they didn't appear to be restocking anything. Our showers were COLD! Seriously, no hot water. I stayed in the LaQuinta in Secaucus, New Jersey and it was wonderful. The continental breakfast was by far the best that I had ever seen. The hotel was reasonable for the area and easy access to the New Jersey transit (busline) into to New York.

I liked this hotel very much. It was very clean and staff was friendly. Breakfast was also good. I stayed at this place New Year night. So for that day the price was also very good (other Hotels had Jacked up their prices very much). I just drove till french quarters from this Hotel and parked opp bourbon street for $20. the room was equiped with a refrigerator and a mircowave. wonderful duvet and lots of pillows.

The staff was great. The room was comfortable but the batroom looked dirty or was dirty either way they need to better or remodel their bathrooms.

I had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. The staff was pleasant and always had a warm greeting for each guest.

Everything was what we expected. We were comfortable staying in the area, there was ease of access to restaurants, and stores. It was on the outskirts of the city which I loved because it wasn't as cluttered and traffic wasn't bad.

I filled out a previous survey, but it forwarded too early. I was not through completing. Wake up call was aproblem with front desk teller-Gera'nica please follow-up. Toilet,plumbing/drainage a major problem.I had to remove toilet tissue on order for toilet to flush and not overflow. The motel was about average compared to similar motels within the price range I was looking for. The room had a refrigerator and microwave, which was a plus. The continental breakfast was adequate, but not extravagant. Short drive to downtown New Orleans. Few restaurants near the motel.

This was an excellent experience. The room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was the very best I've had at a hotel in years. The location was great also. Excellent hotel.

I have used this hotel several times for my business trips to the New Orleans area. Especially for my usual arrival times in the VERY early mornings, traffic is not an issue, so this meets my needs for a good price. The surrounding neighborhoods are questionable, but the immediate area around this hotel seems to be fine. On this particular trip, the […] room and sheets did not seem especially clean and while I didn't ask to change room, probably should have. The extra blanket available did not appear to be fresh and clean either. Unfortunately, this was probably my last stay at that hotel unless there are no other options. For just slightly more money, there are other hotels that are a little closer to my final destination, and they are newer facilities with usually better maintenance / sanitation standards. Mehr

Convenient to construction sites in Chalmette area. Not as bad as the area. Typical thin walls and loud morons in the hall.

The rates were perfect,and only about 10 miles from the French Quarter, very nice breakfest (unexpected) Staff was very nice and helpful I would recommend this Hotel to anyone.

When selecting this location, I considered the date the hotel had been built and felt comfortable that the property would be acceptable since it was relatively new. Unfortunately, I was incorrect in my suppositions. Bottom line-the hotel needs TLC. Major cleaning, additional training of the staff to meet La Quinta's standards, general ongoing maintenance. I […] never thought I'd ever have a worry from this chain but I'll certainly think twice before staying at La Quinta again. My stay at this hotel was very nice.We arrived latter in the evening.The staff was very nice and welcoming to us.We got into our room and it was very clean and the a/c was running and keeping the room at a very nice temp for my family and I.The three days we were at this location was wonderfull. The staff always were polite to us as we came and went.I […] had to go down and get some extra towels one time because I left the do not disturb sign on my door when i left and no maid service that day because of this.The staff were very helpfull with this and gave me more towels.My only two complaints were the luggage cart that I used to take my luggage down to my vehicle had been tapped together with duck tape and one of the doors going outside could not be entered thru because the card reader would not unlock it. One of the staff that seen me with the cart stated they had two new ones ordered without me even saying anything about the cart. I loved the fact that when we went swimming there was a cart of towels out by the pool we could grab instead of having to remember to bring towels from our room.The hotel is located a little way out of town but I was in the French Quarter within 20 minutes. There are many food places located around this hotel and it is pretty easy to get too off the interstate. I would definately recommend this hotel as long as you don't object to driving a few minutes when getting out for entertainment. Mehr

Took the family to New Orleans. The hotel is just far enough off of I-10 to be quiet. Driving through the neighborhood, I was concerned. Near the hotel, however, the area seems fine. The property is fine, nothing special. We checked in and went to dinner. When we returned about 10Pm, we realized the A/C was not working. It is a nice hotel but has a distinct odor can't really explain it.It was great for the price and there is a gas station,mcdonald,and other fast food restaurant convenient to the hotel.The hotel was clean I had a spot on my blanket but that was the only complaint.The pool was open and nice.For the price it is great but it really reminds me of motel […] 6 or super 8 it was worth the price.The continental breakfast was great you could even do waffles self serve you make them so they were hot and delicious,they had a great variety bananas,juices all kind,bagels,sausauge,it will save you money cause there is something for everyone at the breakfast bar.If you looking for something thats nice for a cheap I recommend it. The room and common areas were clean and neat. However, the bath tub/shower had mold and staff said they could not improve its state. Maid threw out some of my packages of medicated lotion. Pool had black mold growing on tiles. When informed of issues, front desk was very cool, seemed unlikely any follow up likely. since I am not a fan of New Orleans, when I am in the area, I try to stay outside of the city. This hotel has easy access to I-10, and for where most of my meetings are, is one of the better priced hotels for easy access. Surrounding area is questionable once you get off the access road, but the hotel is in decent condition, and I haven't heard / read […] any reports of problems at the hotel. Once you leave the immediate access road area, I wouldn't want to be "exploring the neighborhood" after dark however. For the price, I was satisfied. Mehr

I am a native of NOLA so I know what hotels not to go to. I had never stayed at this hotel before because their always booked which is a very good sign. The rooms were great the continual breakfast was great. There was a variety of choices not the avg breads and coffee. The swimming pool was well maintained and the gym was small but decent equipment. […] It was a hot on the elevator and the ice machine was located there. I was on the first floor. There was down beading and extra pillows. I got a very good night sleep. One side of my closet doors was off the track and I could only push it one way and the hotel door was a bit hard to close. This hotel is extremely nice for the money. The only drawback we noticed was that the parking lot flooded when it rained, and the only ice machine that was working was the one on the 4th floor. The room, however was very nice, large bathroom. The room smelled fresh and was clean also. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is about 10 minutes from downtown New Orleans, which was nice because when we didn't want to be in the thick of things, we could head back to our hotel. Parking at the hotel is free, which is NOT the case in hotels closer to downtown. There isn't really a neighborhood around it, as it seems to be in a more industrial/corporate area - surrounding […] it are a plant nursery, a Home Depot, etc. The hotel isn't SUPER fabulous in all ways (they're still renovating some areas from Katrina's damages) but it was COMPLETELY what I expected for the price we paid. When I arrived I was to have a room with 2 Queen Beds, non-smoking. But all they would give me was a smoking room with one king bed and a pull out couch. This is very upsetting after traveling for hours.

1. Based upon the clarity of the water and the debris on the bottom, the swimming pool was not inviting. Perhaps this can be attributed to the absence of water circulation. 2. The continental breakfast was very good. 3. The housekeeper did not correct the two deficiencies that were identified on the room card. Consequently, I had to hold the handle […] on the commode in the down position in order to complete a flush. 4. Upon entry, the room temperature was too cold due to the thermostat setting. 5. I chose this hotel primarily for its proximity to Interstate 10. Accessing the hotel from the interstate was a bit tricky. The hotel sits on I-10 Service Road which runs parallel to the interstate but besides an access road to the interstate. So, once you exit I-10, be sure not to continue driving straight through the traffic light by the overpass or […] else you will remain on the access road. Instead, in order to get to I-10 Service Road, you should immediately make a right onto Bullard Avenue and then make a left at the first traffic light. We checked into the hotel at 2 p.m. on a weekday. The two ladies of the front desk were apathetic, but efficient in the check-in process. The lobby is divided into two areas with large couches. A giant flat screen television dominates one side and is surrounded with 3 couches. The other half of the lobby has smaller couches and one desk with a computer for guests’ use. The entire lobby felt sticky and warm. We were initially assigned to a 3rd floor room. The elevator’s floor was grimy owing to the cheap sheet vinyl used as flooring. Our room was not completely cleaned e.g. no clean towels, dirty towels in the closet, and no pillow cases. The air conditioner was old and did not adequately cool the room. After inquiring into the state of the room, we were assigned to another room two doors down from the original one. This room had a new a/c unit and was clean. The air conditioners in the hotel are a mix of new and old. This translates into sporadic uncomfortable spots of heat. The bed mattresses are firm and each bed had four comfortable pillows. The bed sheets were clean and the beds nicely made. The room’s television remote had “stuck” buttons. This made navigating through the channels difficult. The hotel provides basic cable with a sprinkling of premium channels. Not all the outlets in the room functioned properly. The bedside lamps did not function at all. Liked it very much

The hotel is an area that was flooded during Katrina. Although, its been several years the area is still recovering. In the surrounding area there are many vacant business and homes. The motel is in excellent condition and the staff was extremely friendly. I felt like the area was glad to have tourist and it showed in their hospitality. It is located right off the interstate which made it convenient to travel to the French Quarter, around New Orleans, and to Gulfport Mississippi. Mehr

Bad smell

Pool was closed. This was one of the reasons we selected it. So 3 young grandsons were dissapointed. Did find one ant crawling on my bed.

When looking for an affordable place to stay in New Orleans, this hotel worked out ok. There seemed to be a "damp" feeling / smell throughout the hotel, but nothing to get too worked up over. I don't like the central New Orleans area, so for ease of access to my final destination it worked out well and the price was about 1/3 less than a few of the […] hotels closer to my destination on the "West Bank." Since I left the hotel early in the morning traffic was not a factor, if I was leaving to head to the West Bank during normal hours, I would have paid the extra money and stayed closer. For a good priced room on a short notice this worked out fine. Mehr

This hotel has an easy access for travelers and is located close to restaurant and gas station.

They had a very nice selection of breakfast foods for a hotel. Neighborhood felt secure would stay here again.

The hotel was clean and staff was very helpful. The room was very spacious and the beds slept well. The hotel area is quiet and cozy. If you are looking for a great hotel for the value, this is it. I will definitely stay here again if visiting New Orleans.

Nice room. Clean hotel. Breakfast included hot waffles, fresh fruit, good yogurt, cold cereal and muffins/breads. Friendly helpful staff. Did have a slight odor, since it was involved in Katrina.
