Hotel fine location dreadful

Close to the IKEA store in Wembley and the reason for my stay. Exceeded my expectations apart from the restaurant menu thaty could have offered a bigger variety of main dishes.

Had first shock when reception told me that they are fully booked and can not offer a room. Instead they offered me to be shifted to another hotel far away from this place. This trauma was in spite of my confirmed advance paid booking through hotels.com. After refusing to accept their proposal and insisting that I had work in Brent Cross area due to […] which I wanted room in the same hotel that they gave me a room after 2 hours. Had really bad experience while checking in and one needs to be doubly sure, if wants to stay in this hotel as your booking with payment means nothing to them. Mehr

Great Access to the London Tube (We could Walk) and then it was only 20 minutes to the Central London attractions. Great value for the money!

The room was nice and clean but the carpet is old and some spot on it. close to brent cross mall and ten minutes walking to underground station

as far as European hotels go this is more than i expected. the rooms were clean and comfortable, the neighborhood is exactly what you would expect from a low middle class neighborhood. it's not far from the tube station or buses. and in just 4 tube stops you are in "the city". the staff was friendly and helpful if you knew the right questions to ask. […] there is an ice machine on the 1st floor, and to make a call it costs 2 pounds just to dial. and if you happen to stay there the bartender Carlos is great! we enjoyed a pint evey evening and he was wonderful! other than that it was a great experience and we would stay there again, for the price you definately get your moneys worth. This hotel was ok for the price. It was not very easily accessible. It does have a shuttle but the pay phones at the tube wouldn't work to call for it. So we ended up taking the bus (which is located across the street from the tube) and walking the rest of the way to the hotel. The roads are not very safe because the people drive so fast!!! The hotel […] staff were helpful if you knew the questions to ask. I couldn't believe that there was not free internet in 2011!! The rooms are what you would expect for the UK. The hotel is clean,quite,close to brent cross mall but is far from central london where all attraction there.

Worst hotel experience ever. Staff rude, not responsive to requests or questions at all. Room did not have requested items upon arrival and usual answer from staff for any request was that the "staff on previous shift did not take care of issue:. We arrived in Brent-Cross 12 hrs later than expected due to a delay in JHB. We were collected (despite the late hour) by a very cheerful driver -Mr. Rashid whose friendly disposition took the edge off the biting cold for "four frozen foreigners". The Staff were always very professional and helpful and the young gent in the Restaurant very pleasant and […] obliging. Our Family room was small but cosy and clean. To our surprise Brent Cross was not that far out of London despite various reports - a quick 20 minute tube ride found us in the heart of London - ready to explore. Our compliments to the management and staff. If we find our way back to London in the future - we know where we will be staying. Mehr

The hotel is situated in an ideal location from travelling from the north, at the bottom of the M1 motorway. The staff are friendly and very efficent. They offer a shuttle service to the nearest tube station free of charge. Which is very useful whem travelling to a show. I would recommend this hotel.

Very pleasant stay. Location excellent, although the surrounding area is a little 'iffy'. All the hotel staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Can recommend.

The worst reception staff we ever met in our life...They were very rude & unhelping.The location of the hotel is really bad, we were visiting London for the first time so being unaware about the area we booked it assuming "Holiday Inn" should be ok... They supposedly have a free shuttle to & from Brent cross tube station but unfortunately we had to […] take cab as it was never available...We were there for 3 days and the last when we had to leave for airport, we asked them the day before if shuttle would be available to drop us to train station, they said it would be, next day morning we had to leave at 7 am and there shuttle also starts at 7 but it was unavailable, front desk staff told us they had changed the time and from that it would leave at 7.30, we waited untill then to hear from another staff member that the time has been changed to 8, we took a cab then...and instead of being apologetic they were very rude to us.... They had free beakfast for some people so we went to ask the front desk about it as to how does it work and without even informing me they charged us $37 for breakfast for 2.... There were lots of bad experieces we had at Holiday Inn, I will never ever again again at Holiday Inn, anywhere...Would not recommend it to anybody as they have nothing positive abt them...They are in a pretty bad location and to top it they have a very losy, rude staff...Don't ruin your trip by staying here.... They didn't explain that they won't cancell my booking card as we show them a credit card, knowingly to charge it and not my debt card. The room was too hot/ AC not working well just fan and alot of carpet smeel

Hotellet ligger langt fra sentrum, i utrivelig bildominert område. Kvarters utrivelig gange til metro - hotellet har transportservice til og fra stasjonen. Grei mat, bra rom. Oppdaget i etterkant at frokost ikke var inkludert.

Meget bra standard på rommet. Servisen var ikke all verden men ok. Dyr frokost så vi valgte ikke å kjøpe frokost på hotellet. Dårlig med å få kjøpt mat på hotellet på kveldstid. Lang og kronglete gangvei til nærmeste undergrunnsstasjon (ca 15-20 min) gode bussforbindelser fra kjøpesenteret som ligger like ved hotellet. Først når man har kommet seg til […] undergrunnsstasjon så tar d ca 15 min til sentrum av London. Mehr

Et helt ok hotell, men forholdsvis dyrt. Frokosten var meget bra. Rommet hadde bra størrelse og var ganske fint. Maten i restauranten var grei nok, men ganske dyr. Vi synes hotellet's beliggenhet var litt langt utenfor allfarvei, men det var gratis shuttle til nærmeste undergrund som tok ca 25 min. til Trafalgar Square. Kan anbefales

Bon hôtel, dommage que l'on y parle pas français. Navette gratuite jusqu'à la gare avec chauffeur sympa.

situé sur un périphérique, loin de londres, cet hôtel ne mérite ni son classement ni son tarif, plus adapté pour les séminaires et les événements

Vi bodde i ett familjerum som var mycket fint och rent. Den enda nackdelen var att det låg lite långt från centrala London (Oxford street). Det tog ca 25-30 minuter med buss och tunnelbanan. I övrigt rekommenderar vi hotellet.

J'ai y passé trois nuits avec trois enfants.L'accueil était très "to the point" et chaleureux. Nous avons eu une chambre, assez grande et confortable pour quatre personnes. Il n'y avait presque pas de bruit, ni de l'intérieur du bâtiment, ni de l'extérieur. Le petit-déjeuner était bon. Le shuttle, une service, était agréable et les chauffeurs très polis. Jeg og en kompis dro til London for å oppleve så mye som mulig. Brent Cross ligger et lite stykke utenfor London, og ligger i sone 3. Det tok ca 15 min å komme inn til sentrum (Piccadilly circus) med undergrunden, så helt akseptabelt. Hotellet er i flott standard, og personellet var ekstremt hyggelig og veldig behjelpelig. Det ligger også ett kjøpesenter […] rett ved siden av hotellet, over motorveien. Det tok oss 5 min å gå dit, og det var mye å se på der. Hvis du ønsker å få tak i billig mat, dra på Marks' & Spencers og kjøp veldig god mat til en helt akseptabel pris (ca £2, og du er stappmett). Det vi opplevde som negativt over dette hotellet var at internettet var ikke inkludert. Hvis vi ville benytte oss av internettet så måtte vi betale £6 per time, eller £15 for 24 timer. En annen negativ ting er avstanden til sentrum, og at undergrunden er ett lite stykke unna hotellet (ca. 15 min). Det vi gjorde var å kjøpe ett Oyster Card som lot oss reise hvor enn vi ville innenfor sone 1, sone 2 og sone 3, i 7 dager. Dette kostet oss £33 hver, men du kommer til å bruke undergrunnen og bussene veldig ofte, så dette lønnet seg. Alt i alt, ett veldig godt hotell. Rensligheten var på topp, og en god resturant nede i lobbyen. Baren er noe skuffende, men dra heller ned til byen, der finner du mange alternative barer med gode priser. Mehr

Hotelli näytti kartalla olevan kohtuullisen metromatkan päässä keskustasta ja Brent Crossin metroasemasta, MUTTA 25 min metromatka joka päivä ei ollutkaan niin kauhean kätevä ja matroasema oli hankalan tien takana hotellista. Metroasemalta oli kyllä ilmainen shuttle hotellille (ja päinvastoin), mutta käytännössä tämän käyttö oli aika hankalaa. Meillä […] oli lastenrattaat käytössä ja niiden kanssa käveleminen metroasemalta hotellille oli myös hankalaa, sillä hotelli oli todella ison tien toisella puolella ja kunnollisia kävelyteitä ei ollut. Hotelli oli aika kulunut ja me emme ainakaan saaneet mitään upgradettua huonetta, joita kyllä esim. netissä ja hotellin hisseissä mainostettiin. Viimeisenä päivänä meille oli laitettu ikivanhat tummentuneet pyykeet, joissa oli reikiä. Aika inhottavaa! Mehr

Hotel was top class and the room absolutely top notch and comfortable, especially given the more than reasonable price. All very good. The procedure at check.in was quite distasteful, whichs was a bit of a disappointment. Worse still, the low frequency noise coming from the air conditioning system made it quite difficult to sleep at night. That was […] the major setback.
