Wer Washington erkunden will, ist in diesem Hotel genau richtig aufgehoben. Tolle Lage direkt an der Metro, Starbucks direkt im Hotel und jede Menge Restaurants in der Nähe. Und der Barmann hat sehr gute Tipps, was den Besuch von Washington angeht ;-) Den Nachteil mit der Nähe zur Metro habe ich so gelöst, dass ich einfach ein paar Tage vorher eine […] Mail geschickt habe mit dem Wunsch, abseits der Bahntrasse ein Zimmer haben zu wollen. We requested a roll away bed for one of my daughters in advance. Staff refused because we had a 2 double bed room, so daughter had to sleep on floor. The indoor pool is tiny and only 3 feet deep it was a joke. The room had a smart energy device that shut down the AC when you were out so we always returned to a musty humid room. Room service has a $5 […] delivery charge a 21% gratuity tax and a 9% sales tax so buyer beware. Try thr Hampton Inn thats across the street and an easy walk to the Metro train for great access to the Smithsonian museaums and monuments. Mehr

Some noise form Metro train taking off from station next door. I got used to it the 2nd morning and it wasn't a problem.

Overall very good. Only issue was suite did not have a separate living area which they resolved with a rollaway bed. It sufficed

Our stay was fine but there were a couple of points that I think could be improved upon. First, I was disappointed that internet and parking totaled almost $50 for a one-night stay but the real kicker was the service received when my kids tried to use the pool. First, I guess the pool is closed when the life guard isn't there so it was closed when we […] went by around 5:00 and then when we went back around 8:00 there were no towels. OK, so we asked the pool attendant (life guard??) and she acted annoyed but requested house keeping bring towels. There must have been 8 kids in the pool (spring break week) and everyone that came in asked about towels. Housekeeping came by a few minutes later and left 2 (TWO) towels. So my wife called the front desk and was told that they don't have towels and to call housekeeping. Seriously??? Just fix the problem! I don't need a lesson on the organizational structure of your hotel departments, we just need towels at the pool! Otherwise the hotel was fine. Our view was of the metro station - nothing nice about that but I was impressed that the noise was almost indiscernible until the Amtrak blew it's horn at 5:30 in the morning. Seriously, though, it was fine and very convenient to both restaurants/shops along King Street and the metro station to get into DC. Mehr

we were in town for one night only for funeral; son flew in and we needed a 2nd room; front desk was so accommodating! got room for son at price comparable to what we had found on hotels.com.SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT; EVERYONE WAS NICE AND FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL!!1

Great location. Literally across the street from the Metro. Friendly staff and very clean. Pool for kids. Restaurants and shopping steps away. Starbucks in lobby...need I say more. Only qualm is extra charge for 2nd adult and parking is $30/day. So, just be aware.

We stayed at the Hilton Alexandria Old Town on a Saturday in March 2012. We easily found the hotel (but using our GPS, not printed directions). Check-in was fast and friendly, and they let us into the room at Noon, when the posted time was 3 PM. Already 1 Star. The room was large and modern. Another Star. It was located just a block from the Metro, […] which my family used to go into DC. A 3rd Star. My meetings were at a nearby hotel, which was just a 10 minute walk away. A walk down King Street reveals several blocks of great local shops, restaurants and bars. A 4th Star. We selected this hotel because it had an indoor pool, but when we went to it at 7 pm on Saturday night, it had already closed. So 1 star gets taken away. So we give this hotel 3 out of 4 stars. The hotel appears very new or exceptionally well maintained. It's less than 100 feet from 10-15 minute headway Metrorail service to Downtown DC and also steps from Downtown Alexandria restaurants and nightlife. Staff at the front desk are courteous and always there (not in hiding). My room was elegantly appointed and spotless. I would only suggest […] that they need larger garbage cans in the room. The cans they use are stylish but very narrow, and fill up quickly. I only used the bar not the restaurant. The bar prepares excellent drinks and promptly. Hotel was very nice and the location perfect. Great surrounding restaurants and bars. Short walk to the water. Highly recommended.

The Hotel gives a typical Hilton experience. I was very, very disappointed that this expensive room did not include free Wi-FI. They wanted 12 dollars per 24 hours to use the internet. Crazy. Also parking was very expensive at 27 dollars per night. In Manhattan, the next day, I paid 25 dollars. I was quiote happy that hotyels.com was able to find me […] a room with quite a good discount. Ridiculous rate for 12 hours of wi-fi. Unacceptable in 2012. I definitely sat in the lobby, like many others, for the free wifi down there. Nice gym. Decent sauna. Could definitely use a jacuzzi. But ehh im over it. The room was ok. We would like a microwave in the room. The fridge was a little ghetto. Bed was sufficient. Or maybe I'm just spoiled. […] I love my tempur pedic! This hotel is beautiful inside and the staff was very cooperative and helpful. Parking expenses were a very unwelcome addition to the cost. It certainly seems (especially since the hotel's parking area was very under-utilized, that the hotel could reduce the price of parking -- that would have made a big difference in our experience. Very nice hotel. The restaurant was especially good. However, they do charge an exhorbitant daily parking fee, charge for internet and charge to use the safe in your room, so you can easily add $50+ to your daily rate!

The hotel was clean and the service at check-in was good. However, I think it should be noted that if you bring a car the charge of $30.00 is exorbitant and I do not think I would stay there again.

My overall stay at the Hilton was top rated. We attended a wedding in the hotel and was shuttled to the reception hall. Customer service was pleasant and helpful. We congregated in the lobby for a get pre wedding together and a pizza meal. The atmosphere was pleasant and a Starbucks was right there. To bad it closed at 6pm on a Friday night with a […] full hotel. The breakfast bar is terribly expensive; $25. The one good point for some reason online it said “Food bar not included”. You can get a better breakfast buffet at any Golden Corral or Ryans. The selection was good and the only reason we used it was because it was free. I ordered a omelet the waiter suggested Steak and eggs and the breakfast bar. I took this option for three days. My son was on the same package and got out of bed early for him just to have Steak and eggs. For some reason we were given tickets for our three day stay. My sister in law called the front desk to inquire why we got tickets and the brides father and party did; was explained that it was part of the “HOTELS.com” package. The brides father went through the hotel for reservations and I used Hotels.com. There is a large grocery store chain with many health foods located 2 blocks away. It also has a breakfast bar for $9lb and a salad and another bar with eat in tables. Other dislikes. $12.50 per day internet service A quart of bottled water $5.00 $27 parking in the hotel underground parking garage. Parking is hard to find in the area and tickets are expensive. From the time we checked in to when we left, this was an excellent visit. We did staycation in alexandria at the Hilton and it is clean and comfortable. Robert at the front desk is excellent and makes you feel welcome.

The Hilton in Old Town is right at the end of King Street, which is a good 20 minute walk from the waterfront. Still, this large hotel is right next to the Amtrak and Metro stations for trips into the city, and within walking distance to most of the Old Town restaurants and shops. Very accommodating staff and fine rooms. We were granted a late check out and even use of the pool the eve after check out. Very good buffet breakfast and Starbucks in the hotel . It was the most positive experience I ever had in any hotel & I am a senior citizen. The room was spacious, immaculate & comfortable. The service was unseen but the room was always ready when needed. It was across the street from the Metro but the Metro could not be heard. I could not have asked for a better stay.

The hotel was very clean, the front desk was very friendly and it is in a great location!

We had a wonderful stay at the Hilton over the Thanksgiving holiday. Hotel staff were courteous, room was clean, and the general condition of the hotel was excellent. The extra charge for parking was a bit disappointing as well as the noise from the nearby metro, but otherwise a very good stay.

great location for Washington, D.C. visits; metro station directly across street which will get you anywhere in the D.C. surrounding area. Old Town Alexandria is a beautiful town; great food, shopping, sight-seeing.

Convenient location. A quiet hotel yet family friendly. A Starbucks in the lobby and restaurant is a plus.

Not only will thay charge you and additional guest fee of $20.00 for two people, THEY WILL ALSO CHARGE YOU $27.00 for parking and you will not know about it untill the slip the bill under your door. The desk manager agreed the the clerk did not inform me about the parking fee and refused to do anything about it. RIPOFF ARTIST!!!

Right across the street from the King Street Metro on the Blue-Line, this location is excellent to get in and out of D.C. or even further. Very quiet and no noise from National Airport--which was actually expected, but there was none. A great benefit from Hilton would be a Metro-card for the day for patrons who pay for parking--as $27 is quite expensive; […] although worth the underground safety. Management could do a better job in enforcing "No Smoking" in the parking garage, but that was avoidable. Overall great location and excellent place to stay. Mehr

Wonderful stay! Beds are awesome and dinning is excellent.

This is a fine hotel that is located across the street from the Metro which we used several times a day to visit the sights of DC. We chose this location since our nephew lives in Alexandria and it was convenient to visit him as well. Our waitress in the bar area was excellent since it was a great place to wind down after a day of sight-seeing. We really […] enjoyed the breakfast choices as well. I wanted a hotel outside of Washington DC near the subway. The Hilton Alexandria was a great choice! Very well kept hotel. Right across the street from the Metro. There were some great restaurants within a few blocks. Staff was very helpful with suggestions and in getting me a different room (I wanted one that faced the street).
