Hotel im Großen und Ganzen o.k. - Frühstück für ital. Verhältnisse in Ordnung - leider zu hohe Raumtemeratur im Zimmer - TV quasi nur über "sky" und damit kostenpflichtig möglich

Sehr ansprechendes Hotel sowohl außen als auch innen, das modernen Komfort mit klassischem Stil verbindet. Alle Zimmer sind auf der schönen Vorderseite gelegen. Restaurant, Frühstücksraum umd Bar sind ebenfalls sehr stilvoll historisch erhalten und gestaltet. Der Spa (aufpreispflichtig !) ist allerdings nicht auf gewohnten deutschem Niveau (Funktionsfähigkeit […] nicht immer vollständig gegeben) aber für Italien sicher als hochwertig anzusehen. Alle Sehenswürdingkeiten Venedigs sind "nur eine Bootsfahrt" entfernt (Tageskarte zu empfehlen), der Weg zur Anlagestelle leicht zu schaffen. Das Hotel liegt 5min vom Lidobootsanleger,5min in die andere Richtung ist man am legendären Strand vom Lido.Die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet,das einzige was ich bemängeln könnte wäre die Grösse der Zimmer.Dafür gepflegt und geschmackvolle Möblierung.Der Service ist sehr gut.Sehr hilfsbereit und flexibel auf Sonderwünsche einzugehen.Fernt entfernt […] von Touriabzocke oder arrogantem Gang.Ich verbringe mehr als die Hälfte des Jahres in Hotels und war sehr positiv überrascht,was man bei 4Sterne Hotels in Italien nicht allzu oft behaupten kann.Der Preis war sehr gut für ein Doppelzimmer mit 2Personen!Dazu ein geradezu internationales Frühstück mit fantastischem Capuccino.Der Spabereich ist sauber,neu und gegen eine angemessene Gebühr zu nutzen. Leider einfach gehaltenes 3 Sterne Hotel, Frühstücksbuffet sehr schlicht, kein Zugang ins Internet möglich!!!!, Zimmer sehr einfach für diesen Preis, Lage toll

gut erhaltenes, gepflegtes Hotel; Lage zum Vaporetto gut ca. 3 Gehminuten; Anreise mittels PKW sehr bequem; Parkplatz auf hoteleigenem Parkplatz; am ersten Tag hatten wir ein lautes Zimmer durch Baulärm im Hotel....konnten es aber ohne Probeme gegen ein ruhiges Zimmer tauschen. Hotel empfehlenswert.

Wir (2 Erw. 1 Kind, 4Jahre) waren im Oktober für vier Nächte in diesem Hotel. Es war ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt. Das Haus ist stilvoll renoviert, das Personal sehr freundlich und das Zimmer hübsch und großzügig. Das Frühstückbüffet ist zwar nicht ganz so grandios, wie das Haus, aber durchaus OK. Dieses Hotel kann ich nur wärmstens empfehlen. Habe schon in anderen "unterkünften" in Venedig gewohnt.... Personal super nett, Frühstücksbuffet wunderbar und das Hotel selbst ist einfach wunderschön. Jederzeit wieder.

Das Hotel machte von aussen zuerst einen schlechten Eindruck aber wir waren sehr schnell überzeut das wir einen Glücksgriff gemacht hatten. Das Zimmer war sauber das Bad neuwertig und das Frühstück ging mal so. Internet ist gratis, was ich spitze fand. The first thing that you notice about this hotel, is the amazing facade and decorations. And it is breathtaking in real life. The best way to get here from the air port is by waterbus which takes about 40 min. The hotel is located 5 min walk from the waterbus station at Lido in the islands shopping area. This hotel is situated 10 minutes away from St.Marks square by vaporetto, but offers great value for money in a quieter setting. It is an Art Deco building which has to be seen to be believed. Island was far from main island of St. Marcos. Hotel breakfast was great! The hotel is a bit old but staff was very nice and helpful. Would definitely stay there again!

It was so great not to be in the middle of tourist throng - where you usually pay over the odds for your room because you're near Rialto or San Marco. Lido is a perfect base. The Hotel was great - courteous staff, really good bed, excellent buffet breakfast , free wifi. We tried the Spa in the basement (not included, but reasonably priced) which was […] very good with nice sauna & steam rooms. Big bonus with the location on Lido is that when you go out to eat that the restaurants are good which can't always be said in Venice : especially recommended is 'Ristorante Gran Viale' which is on the same side of Gran Viale as the Hotel as you walk towards the Vaporetto stop. Would stay again for sure....5 minute walk to Vaporetto stop & 10 minute ride to Giardini or 15 mins to San Marco....perfect! Mehr

This was our first stay on the Lido and we enjoyed it. The hotel was an easy walk from the vaporetto, and wasn't far from the beach, with lots of shops, bars and restaurants close by. Prices were cheaper than in Venice itself, and we felt the hotel offered good value. The breakfast was plentiful but nothing special. The hotel certainly has character. […] We were woken up early by a delivery lorry - quite a surprise as you do not associate Venice with road traffic. We did not try out the spa as the prices seemed very high, but I believe there are affordable packages if you take them out when booking. Mehr

I stayed in this hotel for 1 night and the staff's service was excellent. We need to check out of the hotel by 3am in the morning and they prepared us box breakfasts to eat on our way to the airport. They also gave us free WiFi to use. The staff were very polite and took care of us well. However, the hotel is a bit old. The room that we stayed in was […] clean and newly remodeled. However, the air temperature control didn't work and the heater just wouldn't shut down thus making the room hot. We had to open some windows to get some cool air in. Also, there seem to be a problem with their water pump. We lived in the 4th floor and the cold water coming out of the shower is sporadic. The water pressure will cycle from very strong to nothing in a predictable 30 second interval. This causes the water temperature to vary from very hot to very cold. Since we are only staying for about 8 hours in the hotel and we already unpacked everything before noticing the shower and the heater problem, we didn't notified the staff. I'm sure that they would switch us to another room if we request. Mehr

Great hotel gives you a chance to relax away from the crowds of Venice. I would stay again! 10 minutes away from Venice an easy transit and only about 3 city blocks from the boat/bus terminal.

Very nice hotel, close to the vaporetta stopp, short distance to San Markus, good spa, excellent breakfast! Very good bikes for rent. Minus: Our upgraded minisuite was not woth the extra cost.

The rooms are tiny, old and smelly.. The breakfast is seen better in a cafeteria and really not worth trying.. We only went the first morning, but then went elsewhere... Its very overpriced and I would rate it as a 2 star hotel anywhere else on the planet..

Every year we stay in Venice but could not get two nights accomodation at our usual Hotel therefore decided to try Lido di Venice for one evening. The Hotel was fantastic and staff completely charming and helpful. This is a must stay Hotel. There are passenger ferries every 10 mins during the day and 20 mins in the evening across to Venice so very easy […] to come and go. Dinner and a stroll around this lovely island after a long day sightseeing In Venice is wonderful. We would def book this Hotel again and comparing both Cities recommend to others to stay here other than in Venice where Hotels are overpriced and cannot complete with the standard of service we received at this Hotel. This Hotel also has a wonderful Thai Spa, great for total relaxation.I would strongly recommend though you leave the car in the main Tronchetto car park and take the passenger ferry. Not only is it much cheaper ( car for 2 adults and 1 child 47 Euros each way) you do not really need the car on the island. It is a short walk to the Hotel from the passenger terminal with regular services. We took the car and had to wait 2.5 hours queuing in the mid day sun for the return car ferry - was not fun or pleasant. Mehr

This Hotel deserves the 4 star rating! It is well maintained and has a helpful staff. Breakfast has many choices. I would choose this place again.

The hotel is on the island of Lido, which, though not in mainland Venice, is only a short ferry ride to San Marco square. Plus, Lido is a good location in itself with good restaurants (and also a beach, which we didn't go to). The staff at the hotel was very friendly & helpful. Nice hotel, good staff, good breakfast. Good location in that the Lido is quiet and relaxing at night which Venice is not. Free parking. Be aware that the spa is 20 Euro entrance plus treatments, and the car ferry from the main island to the Lido will be around 30 Euro for a car and two people. Pros: The breakfast room was very nice and the breakfast was quite good. The rooms are not THAT small, it's on par with most other European hotels that we've been to. Our room was facing some side streets and was fairly quiet. Staff was friendly, allowed us to check in/out at our convenience (reasonable of course). Lido, while a 20-minute ferry ride from Venice, is quiet and clean. This hotel is easy to find and offers solicitous staff who speak English. My room was not large but no complaints. We were looking for a place on Lido Island where our son was staying. Keep in mind that Lido is the farthest island from the Grand Canal if you are choosing a hotel. We liked it here because it was quiet and away from the crowds, but the water bus ride was longer to get back to the "center" of Venice. The hotel was nice and the staff was friendly. A Beautiful place, turn of the century glory, but like an old lady, she has seen better days....great location on the Lido....3 minutes from ferry stop...near food places...GREAT breakfast run by Filipino staff, great choices and service....Italian yoghurt is THE BEST!

We stayed just one night in the hotel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to all our needs. The room was pretty large and the bathrooms were nice. The breakfast was excellent. The island of Lido and the street on which the hotel is located are both very nice. I would recommend and return.

I thought this hotel was in Venice but it is only 5 minutes away. If you want to save some money on a hotel this hotel is very convenient. The boat leaves you on the same sidewalk were the hotel is and it is close to everything. There is a cafe on the same sidewalk that is excellent. I would recommend if you were to go for a few days. We had a nice stay at the Grand Albergo Ausonia and Hungaria Hotel. The room was clean. We enjoyed the breakfast. It was a typical European breakfast - and there was enough variety. The location was perfect for strolling and going to the beach. The staff was helpful and spoke English.
