Hotel Cozumel & Resort - Cozumel

Divers that don't spend much time at the hotel seem to find the accomodations fine. If you are spending a week or so here, just know that it might not be the best place to stay. There is VERY little to do at this hotel. The beach is small and is not suited for walking into the water. Also be aware that a balcony does not mean you will have a view of […] anything, much less a view of the ocean. I don't believe there are any rooms here that could be ocean view. Street view yes. Ocean, I doubt it. We had a patio facing the pool but there was so much vegitation that we couldn't see anything. And with the rain there was a stream of muddy water in front of the patio. We were afraid that there would be bugs from the water so we didn't go out there. Also be aware that apparently their European plan doesn't include any food. And be aware that it is very much a smoking property. People were smoking all around the pool, at the front door, and we had a smoking room. Not sure where the non-smoking areas were. If you are ok with a 1 or 2 star place, then it will be fine. Mehr

The location of the hotel was excellent for my 16 year old daughter who was finishing off her diving certification. She got to do her open water right off shore while my wife and myself went out diving. We wern't worried about her going back to the pool by herself after she was finished for the day. Very family friendly place. My only concern was the […] hot tub was not hot and the water was very dirty at the end of the evening. We had a great time as the Cozumel Hotel and Resort. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, in fact that is the general mood at the hotel guest included. It is predominately a diving hotel, with a broad age range of guests. You can get by with no Spanish at the hotel, but a little Spanish allows much better interaction with the staff. The beds are not comfortable. The bathroom is tiny with an odd layout. But the beach/reef access is across the street but wonderful! The water was so clear we could see the bottom of the water in the middle of the night! We did the European plan since we were getting a good deal before our vacation continued in the Riviera Maya. The food in Cozumel […] rocks- we walked to Jeanies for the best enchilladas verdes of our lives! Not the best hotel, but nice big pool- hot tub could have actually been hot- and bring your own pillow and you will enjoy the price and local :) Mehr

Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Nothing fancy but not a dump either, if you are looking for the four seasons look elsewhere. If your not that wrapped up in the frills and want a bargain this is your place.

We stayed for one night, it was ok. We had a guest come and they made them pay extra even though they were just a guest. Really weird. Wifi doesn't work in the rooms, rates for excursions and Taxis were a little high. Carlos is the man though.

we expected a good hotel, it was nice, but the shower was rediciously small, we had to change the room since the toilets were broken. the room is big, the food is in low quality, we expected 4 starts hotel, and it is no more than 3 starts.

There were tons of additional expenses, internet fees, guest fees.... i was not on the all inclusive plan and got the feeling that i was being treated as a second class guest because of it. Twice i returned from diving to find my room not cleaned.

Hotel was rated as a 4 star but should have been a 2 star as it was old and dilapidated lamps and furniture and the food was poor quality, will never go back again.

OK, I could go on and on about the positives of this place, but here is my only negative: the coffee! That's all. As I am one of THOSE coffee people, the next time I stay there (and I definitely will), I'm bringing a small coffee press and my own coffee. Outside of that, the staff was great, rooms clean and comfortable, food decent, and the pool very […] nice. Dive shop (Paradise Divers) is right across the street and they run regular and fast boats right from their dock. $6 shore diving (which wasn't half bad) was a great way to check out my serviced and new gear before heading out to a dive site. Everyone at the dive shop was awesome, but whoever is their internet contact person for Paradise Divers is a grouch so don't let that dissuade you as it almost did me. Mehr

Told us we'd be at the front of the hotel as requested but put us at the very back and said there were no other rooms. Entertainment was right outside our room all nights except Tues and Thurs. It started at 8:30 pm and went until around 10:00. Pretty loud, but we were gone most of the time eating out so it wasn't a big deal. Hotel is well situated, has a small beach area, large pool complex, reasonable walking ditance to town . Staff are eficient and friendly, agents on site to help with tours etc., entertainment on site. close to stores and restaurants. Internet access in room was non existent, Use lobby. Surrounding area is currently a construction site.

If you're planning to stay the whole day under water, this is the perfect spot. The hotel has a diving shop and pier in the property, and it's very convenient if you're planning to dive. I do not recommend the hotel if you're looking for comfort or great service, it's really average. The hotel, in all respects, is acceptable. We stay there because it is within walking distance to town and a good pick-up point for dive boats. I'd never recommend the place as a vacation destination, particularly as an all-inclusive. But, for our very specific needs, it" great.

Overall I'm satisfy with this hotel. It location was one of the main choice for staying in it. price is reasonable. There were only two complains, one it was the sink, but they fix it right away. second was the bed, it was to hard, because they forgotten to put the foam pad. also they fix it right away.

This hotel was fine for the few nights that we spent in Cozumel during our vacation to Cancun / Cozumel. Our main focus was to go diving. They have rental cars at the hotel that are cheap. Would probably stay there again. The beds are hard and the bathrooms are very small.....but it served our needs.

For the money this was an excellent place to stay. After reading previous reviews I was unsure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was good, they have a very good breakfast bar, everyone was very nice. The bed was a little on the hard side. If I go back to Cozumel, this is where I will stay.

We got a good price for a room here. The lobby and pool area are fine. The rooms are a bit tawdry, but clean. The location is great, and the beach is really, really beautiful with good snorkeling. The dive shop attached to the hotel is top notch, very professional. The hotel has bicycles they loan out, such that they are. The staff is just short of […] rude. We didn't have an 'inclusive' plan, but still had to wear wristbands. The safe in the room was key operated, with a $150.00 fee for the loss of the key. Each guest is issued a card for a beach towel. No card, no towel. No card at check out - oh oh. We didn't eat at the hotel because the wait staff was unpleasant, and dinner hours didn't jive with our schedule, so I don't know about the quality of the food. I guess if you are thick skinned, and don't mind the cold shoulder and being treated like cattle, the hotel is perfect. Otherwise, the beach has great snorkeling. Mehr

Very clean, very friendly people, nice pool. Good location, short walk to town and own dive shop (Dive Paradise).

The front desk staff made every simple polite inquiry seem like a major imposition on their time. I accidentally left money in the room key folder when I checked out. This folder has the room # on it. I got to the airport before realising the error. I called and spoke to the women who I checked out with and she said they would check for it and I should […] call back in 15min. They said they found nothing. I know it was a boneheaded move on my part and what else would one expect. Honesty? Mehr

El servicio en general fue bueno pero desafortundamente, cuando quisimos tomar un baño no habia agua caliente, lo reportamos y tardaron como una hora en llegar a la habitación tuve q hablar como 3 veces y fui una a recepción y como q se molestaron por preguntarles. La señorita Consuelo de Recepción no tiene ni idea de lo que es la cortesia. El desayuno […] no es nada rico, el servicio fue bueno. Tenian dos estaciones de buffete pero una de ellas, tenia la comida fria , no habia platos ni quien preparará los Omelets. El cafe es horrible, y el servicio deja mucho q decir. Los Bellboys nada serviciales. Solo te ayudan si traes maletas pero despues de eso esta ba parado junto a mi y me vio llegar sola con dos niñas y una carreola y ni se inmuto. Creo q necesitan un buen entrenamiento de Servicio y Calidad. Mehr

La música de la piscina inicia temprano y el show termina a las 10.00 pm, los ruidos de los pasillos se oyen en la habitación. En el restaurant solo sirven desayuno, comida y cena buffet, no hay servicio a la carta. Nosotros leímos en comentarios que la comida no era buena así que fuimos en plan europeo, pero a veces no teníamos ganas de salir y si […] queríamos comer ahí teníamos que pagar todo el buffet. Hotel bem localizado, atendimento excelente, porém precisando de manutenção.

Dit hotel is goed aan te raden. Er zitten zoals in heel dit gebied wel veel Amerikanen en deze kunnen nogal luidruchtig zijn. Verder geen negatieve opmerkingen te maken.
