Das Hotel befindet sich in der Nähe der EXPO. Da wir ein Auto dabei hatten, war mfür mich der kostenlose Parkplatz direkt vor dem Hotel super. In anderen Hotels in BUD musste ich immer bis zu 16 EUR zahlen. Dafür ist man hier etwas abseits, jedoch in ca. 10 minuten mitten in BUD. Das Frühstücksbuffet entsprach den Erwartungen. Auswahl an Eierspeisen und Wurst war besser als im Mercure. Und das beste, hier noch alles inkl. Auf dem Dach gibt es auch noch einen WellnessBereich. Hier der Abstrich, die Sauna wurde leider erst am abend angeschaltet und der Jacuzi war leider abends um 7 immer noch auf 29 Grad. DIeser wurde zwar an diesem Tag gereinigt, doch dies hätte man auch am Vormittag machen können, so dass am Abend dieser auch zu benutzen ist! Ansonsten, tolles Hotel. Ich werde beim nächsten mal dieses wieder buchen. TIP: LH hat mir dieses Hotel schon mal angeboten, als mein Flug leider nicht zurück nach FRA starten konnte

Das Hotel hat eine Top-Lage in der Innenstadt. Das Haus ist sehr schön restauriert. Der Restaurant- Bereich ist besonders schön im alten Stil hergerichtet. Am Frühstücksbuffett ist für jeden etwas zu finden und bis zum Schluss wird alles aufgefüllt. Die Zimmer sind gut. Allerdings war der W-Lan Empfang im Anbau schlecht. Ein Netzwerkkabel gehörte auch zur Ausstattung. Der Wellness- Bereich ist sauber und gut. Alles in allem ein Super- Hotel, um die Stadt zu erkunden.

Großes, schön eingerichtetes Hotel, zwar etwas Abseits gelegen und die Umgebung ist eine einfache Wohngegend. Dennoch reizvoll direkt gegenüber der Margareteninsel und man ist schnell bei den Sehenswürdigkeiten. Bezahlbare Parkplätze vor dem Hotel sind ein großer Pluspunkt in Budapest.

Lage: Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe des Hauptbahnhofs, in einer etwas ruhigeren Seitenstraße und ist relativ einfach zu finden. Die Stadt-Busse fahren fast direkt vor dem Hotel vorbei, so dass man diese wunderbar für die Fahrt in den Stadtkern nutzten kann. Die Tickets konnten wir direkt im Hotel kaufen. Hotel: Das Hotel macht schon von Außen einen sehr schönen und gepflegten Eindruck und auch der Empfangsbreich sowie die Aufzüge und Flure alles super sauber und in einem ordentlichen Zustand. Die Empfangsmitarbeiter waren sehr nett und man konnte alles auf Deutsch erledigen. Zimmer: Die Zimmer waren sauber, nur im Bad waren ein paar kleine Stellen, die noch genauer geputzt hätten werden können und die Dusche hätte von Außen eine neue Fuge benötigt. Aber die Dusche im innreren und die Amaturen waren sauber und in einem ordentlichen Zustand. Das Bett war super bequem und auch sehr schön groß! Der Ausblick aus unserem Zimmer im obersten Stockwerk war sehr schön. Das Zimmer war sehr warm, da wir die Klimaanlage nicht zum laufen gebracht haben, aber wir haben das Fenster zum Balkon geöffnet und das war dann sehr angenehm. Schwimmbad/Restaurant: Haben wir beides nicht benutzt und können dazu nichts sagen. Frühstück: Die Auswahl war umfangreich, viele frische Früchte und Müsli, verschiedene Brote, Wurst und Käse. Auch warme Speisen. Es war für jeden etwas dabei. Tiefgarage: Wir haben den Tiefgaragenplatz genutzt, weil unser Auto ziemlich neu ist. Leider ist die Abfahrt in das zweite UG ziemglich eng und steil, so dass man vorsichtig fahren bzw. sein Auto gut kennen sollte. Aber ansonsten ist die Garage sehr parktisch und sauber. Abschließend kann man sagen, ein sehr schönes Hotel, in dem wir immer wieder übernachten würden, da es uns vor allem auf die Qualität der Betten sowie die Sauberkeit der Zimmer ankommt und diese unseren doch sehr hohen Anforderungen gerecht wurden. Nach westlichem Standard entspräche das Hotel aus meiner Sicht einem 3 Sterne- Plus Hotel.

Le Meridien Budapest befindet sich mitten in Budapest in der Nähe von: Deák Platz und Szent-Istvan Bazilika. Nicht weit entfernt befinden sich: Kettenbrücke und Magyar Allami Operahaz.
Ausstattung
Le Meridien Budapest stellt Ihnen Folgendes zur Verfügung: Wellnesscenter, Fitnessstudio und Innenpool. Ein kostenloser W-LAN Internetzugang steht in den öffentlichen Bereichen zur Verfügung. Bourbon Restaurant: Restaurant mit Glaskuppeldecke und Wandteppichen. Großer Kronleuchter aus mundgeblasenem Glas. Serviert wird französische Küche mit ungarischer Note. Adria Palac Bar: Die Bar wurde nach dem Versicherungsunternehmen benannt, das einst in dem Gebäude untergebracht war. Zur Einrichtung gehören Sofas und Sessel. Täglich ungarischer Tokajer, Tartines und Sandwiches.

Out of curiosity, I checked most of the 5-star hotels in Budapest (exterior, lobby and room)- by far the nicest and classiest were the Four Seasons, Meridien and Corinthia... Forget Hilton, Sofitel, Intercontinental et al...

The Le Meridien Budapest is wonderful. Great location, Great rooms, very clean and well maintained. I would recommend this property to my best friends and would definitely stay there again.

We stayed for 5 nights including NYE. The overall service, appearance and experience is perfect. Impeccable service and friendly atmosphere. Food and beverages are plenty and of good quality. However, as with all NYE packages (we were forced to stay in the hotel with our baby) you have an overengineered menue that is not suited for a buffet. "Business Trip."
I and my business collegoue went to the hotel for 1 night. The location is great (just in the center on the Pest side) and the building itself very nice. The rooms are big and it is certainly worth to stay there. We got an upgrade in the morning as our room was not ready yet - that was certtainly very nice. There is a small and well equipped fitness, […] as well as cozy swimming pool - enough for a few minutes stretch. If I looked for any downs I would say the breakfast is a little bit overpriced and the staff has some problems speakign English. Otherwise I would recoomend the hotel to anyone (business, romantic, weekend trip). Mehr
"Hotel ideally situated for tourism and business"
The hotel is opposite a cultural centre, a main tram metro and bus station and hop-on hop-off bus lines. there is a short walk to major sights like the cathedral, the Main Synagogue, the Danube etc... Just behind it there is a high end shopping street and close by fast food, drugstores and more mundane shops. A gem of a folk theatre as well as the opera […] house are close by as are many other attractions. The old market - now mainly souvenir shops but also food - is only a 20 minute walk through the shopping streets away. While the op floor room we had was clean and ultra-well equipped, it could do with some redecoration. The business centre computer are slow and it seemed that anti-virus was not up to date or active!! As usual they were full of other people's thrash. It cannot be too much trouble to restore them daily with a patched image (This seems to be a problem of many hotels). The service staff were always extremely helpful and anglophone (besides other languages). The fitness centre jacuzzi and small pool with adjacent humid and dry sauna are excellent. All in all, coupled with excellent Indian summer weather, this was a great stay. Mehr

We were extremely happy with our stay at The Hotel Le Meridian, Budapest. The location of the hotel was very convenient. The staff, specially the front office staff, were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
"Wonderful hotel..."
The rooms are huge and clean. The concierge was knowledge on restaurants and attractions in the area and it is located right across from a park and many of the sites. I especially enjoyed the live jazz every night in the hotel's bar.

Though it could have been any Le Meridien in any city anywhere in the world, it was exactly what we needed when we arrived in Budapest after 11 hours on the train, haggling with cab drivers (DON'T go to the ones IN the station. DON'T exchange money. Well. Just use common sense. :) ), and etc. We ordered room service (quite a few delicious 24 hour options!) […] and slept well in soft, comfortable beds. The bathroom was fantastic. The only reason this hotel doesn't get a 5 is because I would have liked a bit more personality, an indication of where we were. We were within close walking distance of the chain bridge and Parliament, and it was a lovely, if slightly longer, walk from the hotel to the szechenyi baths and the opera house. We fell utterly in love with Budapest and Le Meridien was the perfect home base. Mehr

"Very convenient, nice hotel"
Great hotel. We booked a superior room which was sunny, well appointed and in excellent condition. The bathroom and amenities were very new and modern and the staff kept the rooms very clean. The hotel is next to Erzebet park in Pest, which is right near the city centre and walking distance to just about everything, including * a metro station that […] intersects all metro lines * Andrassy avenue (which connects to hero's gate and the opera house) * the Jewish quarter with plenty of bars, restaurants etc * bike rental shop (which was a great way to cruise through the city and the surrounds) Staff were friendly and very helpful with directions. "For a Meridian is could have been much better"
The room was large and spacious. The mattress was very insufficient. The springs made one feel as if they were in someones spare bedroom when they were 25 years old. The was a very large spot on the carpet about 36" in diameter. The spot looked as if it had been worked on but to no avail. I was a little embarrased when I asked to be moved because of […] it, and was told I would be contacted. Not. I was happy with the area of town however the Sofitel and others are near-by. Mehr
"Average"
3 nights, one was great, 2 were average, housekeeping didn't prepare my room. Check out queue was ridiculous. Bar was good and service there was great. Only stayed as Kempinski was fully booked, will now be making sure I book my monthly visit well in advance to ensure I get the Kempinski.

"Great hotel at great location"
Very luxurious hotel with probably the best location in Budapest. The restaurant is outstanding.

I would highly recommend this hotel to visitors to Budapest. It is in a excellent location for visiting all the sights and is much classier than the flashy Kempinski next door. The service was excellent, from start to finish. The rooms were extremely spacious and well-appointed. The delivery of complimentary bottled water every evening was a nice touch. […] The hotel has a small pool and hot tub, which was welcome after a long day sight-seeing (even if the water temperature of the pool could have been higher!). The only drawback to our entire visit was that smoking (incl cigars) is allowed in the hotel bar, and it if was busy, as it was on one of the nights we visited, it was very smoky. This is a small gripe, however, as smoking seems to be allowed in many restaurants and bars in Budapest. Mehr

This hotel was excellent in every way except the Receptionist - they upgraded us which was great I asked some questions they were rude and spoke between themselves in Hungarian. Bar prices very dear.

I stayed at the Meridien during a conference and was very satisfied with the hotel. Wonderful spacious room with a large desk, high ceiling and wonderful bed. When the internet cable didn't work I immediately got an access code for the wireless at no discussion or charge. The breakfast has everything you need from lots of fruits over good selection […] of bread and various hot choices including omelot prepared to your order. What really topped it all was the small selection of coffee, juice and croissants for those, like me, that had to check out very early before the breakfast opened. I never had the time to check out the SPA or excercise facilities, but the hotel is nicely located for a run along the river althugh the river isn't really ready for it yet :) Mehr

"Ventilation system negates smoke-free room"
Though all other aspects of the hotels were exemplary, my non-smoking room was filled with cigarette smoke, due (I believe) to a poor air handling system that permits smoke to enter into no-smoking rooms.

We absolutely loved our stay in Le Meridien. We were treated like royalty, even though we'd got a good discount on Hotels.com and it hadn't cost us a fortune. The location is outstanding, right in the heart of the touristic city centre, shops etc. No noise from traffic, managed 3 consecutive lie ins, first time in years! The crisp white sheets and duvet […] straight from heaven were amazing, though one kingsize duvet rather than two singles would've been better, I think. We arrived at the hotel and the staff where lovely, very friendly and smiley. There had been a cancellation in one of the suites and they offered it to us for an additional fee, needless to say the suite was a real luxury. With the upgrade we had breakfast included although the breakfast was lovely it is very expensive especially if you are not a big […] eater. The hotel is brilliantly situated for the Metro, buses and trams, plus loads of the key sites are within easy walking distance. Super hotel! Mehr

I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It was more than i normally spend on a hotel room, but it was worth every penny and the price was discounted compared to the prices quoted in the hotel itself. It was very grand, with excellent service and the swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were brilliant. The location was perfect, right next […] to a tube station, very central, but still quite in the rooms. If breakfast is very important to you, this might not be the hotel for you, as its not included in the price and is very expensive, but there are plenty of shops selling pastries and coffee shops near by. I would highly recommend this hotel and we found out that Jenson Button had stayed there too (not at the same time as us unfortunately), but that topped it off for me! I would also recommend going to the indoor market, which was an experience in itself - great local food and interesting characters. The Gellert Thermal Spa was also an interesting experience, a bit confusing to figure out where you are supposed to go, but great once relaxing in the 38 degree spa. Enjoy!!! Mehr

REALLY ONE CANNOT EXPECT MORE "I LOVED THE ROOM THAT WAS GIVEN TO ME BY THE HOTEL AND ALL WAS IN PERFECT ORDER WITH THE GREAT EXCEPTION OF MALEV AIRLINE THAT WAS A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE BOTH IN ARRIVING AND DEPARTING. OTHERWISE EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY AND CANNOT EXPECT MORE I MUST THANK YOU"

"Nice hotel in tourist area"
Me, wife + 4 y.o child found this being a really nice place to stay. The room was quite small, but with a good view over the park (which has a good playground for kids). The staff is great and helps with everything you might need. On the top floor is a cute little pool section, and they're children-friendly too. The location of the hotel is very central […] and there are lots of restaurants, shops etc nearby. However, if you're afraid of tourists then stay somewhere else - this is in the very heart of tourist Budapest! Of course the hotel restaurant and breakfast are very expensive like in most hotels like this. We bought some food at the supermarket around the corner and got rid of that problem. Mehr
"le Meridian Budapest"
The hotel and its staff could not have been more accommodating. It had the best location for us in the city and was close to everything we wanted to do. There was a special Hungarian night in the dinning room where a 5-course dinner, music and folk dancing were featured. This was a special bonus staying at this hotel.

I was in Budapest during the summer heat wave of 2010 and Le Meridian had the best air conditioning. The staff was nice and extremely helpful. The hotel is located nicely located so that you can walk to nearby restaurants and bars.
