Die Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge liegt wunderschön in den Rocky Mountains in der Nähe des Örtchens Jasper. Das Hotel ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen und der Service ist für Fairmont Standards unterirdisch. Beispiel: Der Wunsch nach einem Zimmer im ersten Stock wurde barsch abgewiesen, mit dem Hinweis, dass man ausgebucht sei (ohne auch nur im Computer […] nachzuschauen). Das Zimmer stellte sich dann als nicht ausreichend gereinigt dar, was zwar von den Zimmermädchen später behoben wurde, nur um dann das Badezimmer unbeabsichtigt unter Wassser zu setzen (die Toilettenspülung klemmte offensichtlich). Fazit: Das Hotel braucht eine grundlegende Renovierung, um Fairmont Standards zu entsprechen, das Servicepersonal massives Training im Umgang mit Kunden. Schade, da Fairmont Hotels sonst sehr gerne von mir besucht werden. Mehr

Ein Resort zum Entspannen

Für den Preis hätten wir mehr erwartet. Möbel waren recht abgewohnt. Auch das Bad hätte dringend eine Renovierung nötig.

This landmark is getting old and tired looking. The room was clean, but clearly showing the signs of wear and tear. Not the same standard as I remember 10 years ago. The stay was "ok", but not what I was expecting from a venue that once was world class. Pricey for what you get.

Because this was a Fairmont the service is always spectacular. However, I found that rates were too high for what you recieved in a hotel room. We upgraded to a junior suite and found the decore and amenities were outdated. Our toilet ran all night. Limited plug ins and the bathroom was really outdated with poor lighting. Also there is no hot tub and if my boyfriend and I wanted to have a steam it would have had to be separate because the steam rooms were in the ladies/men's change rooms. Mehr

Lots of reviews here get caught up in the "Fairmont" thing. Yes, this is a Fairmont. But you're also staying in cabins and checking in at a main lodge, so you just can't compare this point-for-point to, say, Chateau Lake Louise. If you want a fancy hotel experience, you will obviously not find it staying in cabins. But if you want a more relaxed, more […] private, woodsy, middle-of-nowhere feel, with the added convenience of a really comfortable bed, clean room, and great service, this place is fantastic. Amazing service, lovely location and view. Rooms are outdated and bathroom needed major renovations.

We stayed in one of the cabins on the property and it was very tired. The wallpaper was starting to peel and the tile in the bathroom was chipped. We were very disappointed and requested a room change to the main lodge. This room was better but still not what I would expect from a Fairmont deluxe room

Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful, Landscape, lakes and mountains. I live in Alberta and still am in aw when I visit. My first time there loved they allowed dogs, it is a little dated, but very rustic. The open area was not super clean as it was very busy and the staff could not keep up. Very expensive, I paid less in Paris by the Eiffel Tower. had booked a Jr suite and got upgraded to a cabin. We knocked around a bit as there was two of us and there were two large bedrooms and a huge common area. The location on the lake was outstanding. Ate at the Moose's Nook. The lamb and bison were A+

We stayed at this hotel a few times before.I love the location of this hotel , being on lake in beautiful surroundings . Accomodation is in cottages all around the lake. This time our cottage was cold at night,the heating couldn't keep up. Beds were very comfortable.

This is the place to stay in Jasper Park for old-style hotel charm and is a part of National Parks history. The lakeside location is beautiful, outside of the town of Jasper, but still an easy commute by car. We had good service in the hotel and restaurants. The log cabin we had was 2 bed with small den - it was clean and comfortable. Our only complaint […] would be the goofy way to get you bags from the car to the cabin (on a narrow bumpy road with no pullouts) - it works OK if people in the traffic jam are patient; the bathroom light and fan were on the same switch - unfortunately the fan was very loud; and there was no mirror outside of the bathroom. Parking is available outside in a few lots near the cabins - cars are mostly out of sight this way, but be prepared to walk to your cabin on uneven pathways, if you are late arriving. The restaurants in the lodge in the period, with a range of offerings and budgets. Overall, a very nice place to stay, with charm and history, good value for this unique experience. Mehr

The grounds of the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge are magnificent - spectacular views, manicured grounds, very clean. The rooms are unimpressive - you may as well as stay at a Best Western. Very disappointing for a Fairmont property. My expectations are high and I don't mind paying extra for them - but didn't expect the simpleness of the ambiance of the […] room. Additionally, we were out and about for 11 hours only to come back and our room had never been cleaned. I called the front desk and to confirm the room should have been cleaned and they apologized and offerred to send them over but by that point we were looking to hunker down for the evening. Upon checking out the next day I commented on my disappointment and they did comp breakfast for us. In the future, if that oversight occurs again, I suggest the front desk offer for the visitor to come to the lodge for a comped drink while they clean the room - that would have felt more attentive. Very lovey place to stay. Very friendly helpful staff, Food was great. The scenery well it's Canada what can I say but beautiful. I will always remember our 30th wedding anniversary.

Overall, I would recommend the Jasper Fairmont. It carries the same elegance and service attitude that equals the Fairmont brand. However, the property has a lay-out much like a camp or set of cabins. Consequently, the simplest request like ice or silverware requires a call to room service and an attendant to bring it. The store, restaurants and main […] facility requires a hearty walk or a call for a ride. Our room configured awkwardly. We were in an end cabin -- our TV was parallel with the bed -- which meant you had to turn your head at a 45 degree angle to watch the silly thing. Further, the settee and chairs were too far away to use. What the room lacked, the property itself was beautiful, well-maintained and attractive. Stay was OK. However did not meet our expectations of Fairmont resorts. We are President Club Member and wanted to use the business center computer, but we were told that the hotel does not own the business center therefore there would be charges, this was a surprise to us.

This hotel is in a beautiful situation with luxurious rooms. The receptionists and doormen were more than helpful and obliging, but meals and drinks are overpriced and service slow and pretentious. Very interesting Art Gallery with knowledgable staff.

A fantastic setting , beautiful lodge , good food , service excellent. Over all.. a very good experience. Would do it again!

The scenery and hotel staff were very nice. We just felt for the price of the room we expected a little bit more in the room as well as we requested a King size bed and were told we would have to take a Queen but I am pretty sure we ended up with a double. Very small rooms for the price we paid and we found it to be O.K. in the cleanliness but not anything […] overly clean. Older style. Last minute reservation got me a room right off the lobby.. noisy..with my window overlooking a stairway up from the pool. Waiters in Cavell's inexperienced, couldn't seem to find my table despite being numbered. Chef, "using ingredients found in Alberta, served Lamb shank ragout over... fettucini. Not worth the price. Room was very dated, as was the 1990's tv! Pricing for food was through the roof!$24.00 for a simple hamburger. We never ate there once during our stay,went to town instead. Pool was filthy. We were not impressed with this establishment!

It had been years since we had been to Jasper. The scenery is spectacular and the hotel is lovely. It has a great mountain lodge feel, very comfortable rooms. We had spend 3 days at Banff Springs Hotel Fantastic!! Expensive but fantastic Then we chose to go for a day or 2 at fairmont Jasper So not happy. The surroundings were beautiful the rooms ok no air conditioning yet when you considering that I paid the same price for the Banff Springs what a disappointment the name fairmont does not justify the cost. […] Also the food choices were disappointing the hotel is a distance out of town and the choices were similar at each restaurant The food was high end couture however if you wanted a simply hardy meal not there not even a bowl of pasta to be found we had ordered room service for Breakfast 21.00 for a continental breakfast for 1 the watermelon was turning that dark red color from spending too long cut up and in the fridge the rest was so tart from the preservatives we refused the meal they forgot the hashbrowns and toast to my husbands breakfast grand total for that meal 56.00 can you imagine having to refuse a meal at that type of resort? we got dressed and went for the breakfast buffet food was quite good and that bill was only 58.00 I admit I feel if your are staying at a 5 star resort which is already twice if not more of another resort there should be some perks At Banff Gold there was, here not so much! 6.00 for a bottle of water in your room 56 dollars for a 2 egg breakfast and continental also plenty of activities however all very expensive. We usually travel thru our timeshare resorts where they treat you like a guest I would recommend Banff springs for the experience it is worth the very expensive price tag Jasper park Lodge not so much It is a beautiful area and grounds but i shouldn't have to pay handsomely to get there and then keep paying Mehr

A beautiful place. Nice and quiet. A little on the pricey side. No place to get a pop/water unless you ordered room service.

I stayed in front of the lake. The view was amazing. The room was small for 3 person. And one of the restaurant for breakfast was awful. They gave us poor service and we didn't write a tip our bill but they add it. I couldn't belive my eyes.. It is the 4 stars hotel! I recomemded the restaurant in the basement not the 1st floor!!

Rented a lake front suite for the weekend so i could propose to my newly fiance. The employees were super friendly as well as attending to your every needs. The food is amazing anywhere you eat, a little pricey, but for the quality and the decent proportions are well worth it. I would definitely recommend the breakfast buffet downstairs. The room was […] spectacular with the golf course in the front and then walking out the back on to a glacier lake that you can go canoeing on. Waking up to elk eating grass outside your front and back doors, returning to the room after it has been serviced with a platter of chocolate covered strawberries waiting for you, wood burning fireplace in your room to sit in front of and make the perfect smore cooking environment. So if you are looking for an amazing place to take in the most amazing scenery, and enjoy the most romantic getaway that any hotel could ever give you, i would recommend this destination hot spot to anyone. Very disappointed in the room with old fixtures, mismatched furniture and outdated television. For the price charged, I'll stay in town next time.

The setting is awesome, service is great, but the infrastructure is getting tired and need of some serious work.

The room was extremely dated, needing some TLC & renovations. The walls were paper thin. It wasn't relaxing hearing the conversations of the people in the room next to us. The food was good, but not great for the price we paid. The service was great a few times & not so great other times in the restaurants. Excellent facility and view. Very nicely decorated for the Christmas season. My only complaint is that the room we had was extremely warm, and no matter what I turned the thermostat to at night it stayed too warm to sleep well.

Location, food and price (high) are the only thinks that make this hotel a Fairmont!
