Holiday Inn Express Myrtle Beach-Broadway at the Beach - Myrtle Beach

Have stayed there 3 yrs in a row. Have always been pleased with our stay. This yr. was a little different. When we first checked in we were an hr, early so we sat by the pool until our room was ready. We had driven 13 hrs and were tired. The gentlemen at the front desk was gonna call me on my cell phone per his suggestion when the room was ready. About […] an hour and a 1/2 went by so I said I was gonna go see what was taking so long. When I asked the clerk at the desk he said...oh yeah your room is ready. Well he forget to call us. Also, When we first got there, we had to go to the bathroom so he directed me to the hotel bathroom which was absolutly discusting! There were paper towels all opver the floor and poop in and on the toilet. SDo They let me use their employee bathroom. I asked if the had a room we could use uuntil check in just to freshen up but they said all rooms were booked. I thought hotels always have a room for people to use under these types of circumstances. Our room was supposed to have a flat screen tv and it didnt. The trash was over pilling out of the garbage cans, our sink leaked our entire trip. The vending machines were broken into and all floors were completely out of drinks. I could continue on but just wanted to say that I was not ssatisfied this yr. I'm not sure if they had staffing problems or are under new mgmt. but it just wasnt kept up like i remember in the past few yrs. Mehr

Nothing fancy, but it was clean and comfortable. Location is great.

Great place to stay if you are going to hang out at Broadway at the Beach and the clubs. No driving...

Great location, hotel room was clean, but needs new carpet and the paint in bathroom was peeling. Other than that, couldn't ask for a more convenient hotel (across from "Broadway at the Beach") many restaurants close by and only a couple of blocks from the beach.

Very Nice Hotel, Close to the beach, shopping and restraunts I highly recommend. Also the staff is very friendly and helpful

We were very pleased with the staff and the service at this hotel. My grandkids loved the pool and the breakfast bar was super!!!

Everything about our stay was great. The only thing we were not prepared for when we checked in was we had a wheelchair accessible room. It really didn't make a difference to us. The room was better than expected after reading some reviews. Location is very good. Room was a little small and beds were small (2 full size); Price was higher than other nearby hotels for the same type room in the same neighborhood. Would not be my first choice on a return trip but it is acceptable.

Great breakfast. Close to Broadway and many restaurants. Not too far from beach. I would recommend it.

I spent 6 nights @ this hotel on our first visit to Myrtle Beach with my wife and 2 teenage sons. The hotel was ideally situated just over the road from Broadway @ The Beach, which is a safe environment to enjoy cinema's , restaurants and generally keeping families entertained. The hotel backed onto highway 17 which took you into the easy to access […] shopping and restaurants. Turn left from the hotel and continue down 29th avenue to the beach, 5 minutes in a car. The breakfast varied each day, with cereal and pastries aswell as hot eggs and bacon. Small pool overlooked a lake and was very pleasant to sit & relax. Thoroughly enjoyable stay. Mehr

We were only there for a few hours but as far as I could tell it was close to some of the areas many attractions such as Braodway at the Beach and only a few blocks from the beach it's self.

very conviently located to attractions - need better signs directing to the hotel - went into fairfield parking lot first - stayed on 4th floor - did not look like it had been renovated yet - breakfast was ok - staff was excellent !!!!!!

The room we were in never got cool even though the air conditioner ran constanty but the room was hot all night. The elevators were like saunas , the hall ways were also very hot. The pool water was dirty. The breakfast was good and the staff was okay not overly friendly. Iould not stay here again.

Our room was very comfortable, and everyone at the hotel was extremely helpful. The TV in our room wasn't getting great reception on some channels; because the maintenance staff had already left for the weekend, the desk clerk immediately switched us to another room on the same floor. The free hot breakfast was delicious, and they were constantly checking […] to make sure nothing ran low. It was too far to walk to Broadway at the Beach, but there isn't anything closer. We plan to stay there again next time we go to Broadway at the Beach. Mehr

My family of 3 stayed here for 2 nights and were overall satisfied with the experience. The hotel is conveniently located close to area attractions and only 3 to 4 blocks from the beach. The staff was very accomodating to our needs (they brought a refrigerator to our room). The hotel was overall in pretty good condition, though it seems due for light […] renovation, particularly with carpet replacement. The carpet in our room and floor was ruffled and stained in spots. However, I would not hesitate to stay in this hotel again. Good value for the money and location. Mehr

The location is great and very accessible to Broadway at the Beach and the beach. After staying at a few other Holiday Inn Express locations, we grew fond of the comfortable mattresses. This experience was quite the opposite. This was one of the worst mattresses I've ever had to use. I could feel the springs in the bed and woke up sore both mornings […] after attempting to sleep. The hotel is great. Location is walking distance to Aquarium and other sites. Less than one mile from the beach 3 minute drive tops. The carpets in the hallway could use updating. Free internet access was great. Great free breakfast!

Room furnishings need to be updated. Beds were comfortable. NO water pressure in shower. Nice pool. Nice complimentary breakfast.

The hotel was very convenient to our needs i.e., the beach, sight seeings, restaurants etc. Speaking of restaurants we must recognize the hotel breakfast staff for their courteous personality and tasty food prepared.
