Das Hotel ist zweckmässig eingerichtet und liegt ideal für Besucher der O2 Arena, da diese zu Fuß zu erreichen ist. Mit der Jubilee Line ist man in 20 Minuten in London Westminster. Das Hotel selber ist von der Ausstattung typisch für die Holiday Inn Kette.

Wenn man mit dem eigenen Wagen nach London fährt, ist das Express by Holiday Inn in Greenwich mit Sicherheit eines der bestgelegenen Hotels, da es sich außerhalb der Mautzone und direkt an der Schnellstrasse/Autobahn von und nach Dover befindet, so dass man mit dem Linksverkehr kaum Schwierigkeiten bekommen kann. Noch dazu sind die Parkgebühren für […] den zudem recht großen Hotelparkplatz mit 5 Euro pro Nacht geradezu spottbillig für Londoner Verhältnisse. Zur U-Bahnstation North Greenwich sind es ca. 15 Minuten Fußweg, nur ca. 100 Meter vom Hotel entfernt hält außerdem ein Bus, mit dem man bei Bedarf diese und auch andere Stationen anfahren kann. Soweit alles super ! Das Hotel selbst ist in ordentlichem Zustand, auch wenn man den ein oder anderen kleinen Mangel bei genauerem Hinsehen schon sieht. Die Zimmer sind - wie bei Kettenhotels so üblich - ein wenig steril, aber von der Ausstattung her völlig in Ordnung. Großes Bad mit Dusche und Mischbatterien, Klimananlage, Couch, Schreibtisch, kleiner Fernseher auch im Standardzimmer. Negativ fiel hingegen das recht unfreundliche Personal auf, sowohl an der Rezeption als auch Zimmermädchen und Küchenpersonal. Desweiteren war das Frühstück eine herbe Enttäuschung, die jeden Engländer vermutlich in die Flucht geschlagen hätte. Es gab sehr wenig Auswahl, nicht einmal Eier, und Kaffee & Co lediglich aus dem Automaten. Trotz allem für einen London-Trip mit dem Wagen ein empfehlenswertes Hotel ! Mehr

Das Hotel und die Zimmer sind sauber. Das Dreierzimmer war für unseren Geschmack ein bisschen zu klein. Das Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltig und gut.

Really good place to stay for o2- walking distance. Staff friendly and helpful. Slight oversight as bed hadn't been made up for my son, but this was done as soon as we asked. Good breakfast. I would stay again.

Stayed with my 2 cousins , No complaints apart from the shower in the bathroom being a bit on the small side, I also grudged paying an extra £25 for a 3rd person.

This hotel was very comfortable to stay in, only have 2 things that I had a problem with, one was that they didn't really tell you how to turn the lights on in the room, this may sound silly but we finally worked out that you had to but the card to open the door into it.! ! The second issue is the price that they charge at their vending machine, you […] pay all that money to stay in their hotel and then they think it is okay to charge £1.50 for a packet of crisps and £1 for a twix or chocolate bar, when you are hungry what else can you do. Apart from that our room was ideal for us and the JLS concert we went to see. I would certainly stay there again but would make sure I took my own snacks. Mehr

Reception staff were lovely and efficient. Breakfast was busy, so you really need to get there quite early. The choice of food was better than expected, although the hot food did run out very quickly and you had to wait for someone to come and refill it. Room was good. This hotel is about a 15min walk from the o2/tube station or a 5 min drive in a taxi. Staff are very friendly we arrived quite early before check in and we were still allowed to check in early which we found very helpful. Breakfast was a wide choice of foods from cereal, to scramble eggs, sausages and beans, and a wide selection of teas coffees and […] fruit juice. We stay at this hotel every time we go to the O2 for a gig- it is on walking distance and always does just eat we need it to do. The staff are always very helpful and cannot do enough to please .

Hotel was very clean and comfortable breakfast was fine Staff friendly The problem we had was the noise from the motorway I found it difficult to sleep because of the noise of the traffic, We were on the sixth floor ,

A fantastic location in Greenwich, just 7 - 10 minutes walk from the O2. A safe neighborhood to walk in when a concert or O2 event is over. Staff were very helpful. Internet charges in room were a bit ridiculous but there is free wifi in the Lobby. For those that like a nice bathroom - they are great, spacious, big shower and lovely sink area. My daughters and I attended a gig at the 02, the hotel is in walking distance of the venue which was fantastic after the event. The staff were helpful and the room clean and met our needs. I often stay in budget hotels for work and Holiday Inn Express was far better than the other chains I have used recently. Nice fluffy towels and good quality linen […] makes a difference, only slight improvement would have been a newer sofa bed! Mehr

This was our 2nd stay and it was significantly better than the one 2 years ago where the room was pretty average and the service ok. This time both the room and service were good. Our room was quite large and, as it had a wet room, I assume it was for disabled access so no idea whether that is now standard throughout the hotel? But it was comfortable […] and relatively quiet (considering the traffic you'd expect in this area!). Particularly liked the fact that both 'soft' & 'firm' pilllows were provided - and labelled as such. Nice touch. Breakfast is self serve & limited but adequate - although as a vegetarian it would have been nice to have something to accompany my scrambled egg & beans - mushrooms for instance. And of course it is an ideal location for the O2 which is in easy walking distance. Mehr

me my daughters stayed 1 night went to c rianna on arrival the recepionest was very helpful four adults to a room she said 2 adults and 2 children but it was ok she made no fuss and our room was great 2 double beds 0ne a sofa the breakfast was great and plenty check out great over rall i would recomend this hotel 10 min walk to 02 or taxi 5 pounds recepionest […] ordered taxi no fuss i will b coming back thanks for a great stay holliday inn exspress Mehr

As most of the reviews, used the hotel for convenience to O2. There really are no other hotels near so was very happy that this is literally a 10 minute walk to the Hotel from the 02 (about 15 minutes from the Tube). The Hotel is not very well signposted from the tube but is situated at the back of the car/coach parks and head away from the area as […] situated on a main roundabout. Free breakfast was really good and all the staff were very friendly. Rooms were fine and very secure as you cannot access the lifts/stairs to the bedrooms without swiping your room card. Excellent location for visiting Greenwich, the O2 and travelling into the centre of London via the Thames Clipper service.

We chose this hotel because all the hotels in central London were either too expensive or rather dodgy looking. We were concerned that it may be difficult to travel to all the sites from this hotel, but that was not a concern at all. There is a bus from Stansted Airport, and the public transportation is very close to the hotel. We purchased an Oyster […] Card which allowed us use of public buses and the underground all weekend, which was super convenient. We were pleased with the friendliness of the staff and the included breakfast. Our door lock required maintenance several times during our stay and our room was chilly, but the hotel staff was happy to help on both counts. We would happily stay here again. Mehr

really nice hotel, fab breakfast...the reception staff could do with being a bit more cheery. Would also recommend either getting a cab or bus (129) from the O2 to the hotel as its further to walk than you think !! would definately go back again

While this hotel is convenient to the O2, we were signtseeing in Greenwich, and the hotel is not convenient to the village proper.

The hotel is a fantatsic stone throw away from the O2 arena, a must stay for concert trips. Prices are good, rooms are big, clean and quiet. I'm not sure on what else can be done around the area as we was only there an evening to watch a concert, however a tesco's is in walking distance, for those who don't want to eat in the hotel. I'd recommend the […] breakfast though, it was lovely, well sized and quickly served, even though the morning rush was taking place. Check-in was quick and easy, friendly staff, that made us feel very welcome. There is one vending machine in the reception, which is high in price, however that would be my only issue out of everything and even that is controlled externally. Stayed here as going to show at the O2. Great location for O2 only 5-10 minutes walk. Hotel was clean and comfortable with very good buffet breakfast. Staff were extremely helpful. Would recommend this hotel to others and would stay again.

Hotel was close to the O2 which is what I required. My room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the staff courteous and efficient.

cannot fault hotel only problem was the breakfast cold selection was good hot was rubbish only 3 items available and all cold and second rate

I was not able to claim BA miles for this stay as the receptionist did not have facilities to swipe my BA card. I had to follow up with BA separately...and still waiting. Dissapointing for a hotel based on London.

this hotel was great value, had essentials that we needed, was clean n presented well. it was very close to the o2 (10mins walk max) the staff were all friendly and helpful. free breakfast was included for all. i would recommend to anyone especially if you are going to the o2 arena x

We were going to the 02 for the x factor auditions and we wanted to be as close to the venue as possible so witth all the good reviews for The Holiday Inn we decided to book a family room, and we were not disappointed, the rooms were very comfortable and quiet, we had early mornings and not late nights and it was so nice to have a good nights sleep […] with no noise whatsoever. We had dinner in the hotel and it was very nice.....We would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to be close to the 02 and quiet, We flew into Stansted airport and got the express to stratford then the jubilee line to greenwich which is only 3 stops from stratford.... Tired; shabby hotel. Rooms very small; smallest double bed I have ever seen. Appalling breakfast. Overall a very poor hotel; and very expensive. They even charge for parking when you stay there, which is ridiculous, considering how high their room rate is for a small pokey double room.

We stayed two days and found the staff very serviceminded, and the hotel of good standard. However we think the breakfast (selection and availabilaty of different food options) at a very low standard. Except for the breakfast we enjoyed the stay. 20 minute walk to Tube-station.

This hotel met all our requirements perfectly. Staff were efficient and friendly, room clean and comfortable. Would recommend.

A fantastic Chinese restaurant on the ground floor. The hotel is only 10-15 minute walk from the 02 Arena. But there is nowhere to cross a busy dual carriageway - although the traffic for the Arena is virtually at a stand still in one direction at least.

I loved this hotel, it was great stay and the rooms were so nice and the Location is great if you are planning to go to the O2. The staff were so helpful and friendly and the room was so warm and comfortable, I had a great night and stay, the breakfast in the morning was great !

The TV was a dated small portable and kept jumping all the time, we found this annoying. Also breakfast only consisted of sausages and eggs, no bacon or tomatoes, this may have been due the bad weather we dont know.

As soon as we arrived we were welcomed straight away and felt right at home. Everyone was very helpful and the breakfast buffet in the morning was so lovely. Our location couldn't have been better and that night we slept like babies, the comfort was that good. A very enjoyable experience and I would definitely go again and recommend it for others. This hotel is perfect if visiting the 02. It is a pleasant 20 minute walk from the hotel to the 02. Car parking is easy - we arrived on the Friday evening and saw a show at 11am the following day. The reception staff were very helpful and said that as long as we were back by 2pm we could validate our parking ticket at hotel reception for the overnight […] fee of £5.00 (as opposed to the £25.00 fee at the 02!). Note that if you validate your parking ticket at reception its £5.00 overnight - if you use the ticket machine in the foyer of the hotel you will get charged £20.00! Fortunately the hotel receptionist told us this but this could catch you out if they are not so informative. Rooms very clean and a very good buffet eat all you like breakfast. Evening meals are very limited though (and no child menu) but there is a very good chinese below and a Pizza Hut just round the corner. Mehr

On checking in after the 20 minute walk from the tube station we were in need of a nice sit down and a cup of tea (Pure Brits we are) We checked into the room with no trouble but when we went to make ourselves that cup of tea we found all the milk in the room was off, leaving us needing to go back to the reception wait for ages whilst the receptionist […] did very little and eventually get some fresh milk. We went to a concert at the O2 when we stayed at the hotel and woke up the next morning ravenous…. We went down to the breakfast area to be greeted by utter chaos! Guests were all searching for free tables and the queue for toast was a mile long as there was only one toaster working…..for a hotel of this size this is nonsense! When we finally got to the hot food section we were extremely disappointed to find in London England a cooked breakfast consisted of sausages and scrambled egg???? I just hope visitors from abroad don’t take this as the Full English we are famous for!! Disappointing!!!! Mehr

Stayed at this hotel as we had tickets to the O2 to see 25th Anniversary concert of Les Mis. The hotel was a perfect location for the O2 - 10 mins walk away along a well lit main road. You can see the O2 from the hotel so can't miss it. the room was clean and comfortable.
