I was not satisfied with the room; specifically the bathroom. Not very clean and not updated. The hotel was not the one shown on the internet. The rooms have outside access, not inside as shown on the internet. The check-in guidelines do not follow the policies stated on the website. Did like the TV, microwave and refridgerator. The hotel was Ok for a temporary stay. It was dirty and the carpets were very dirty. The lobby was clean and the beds were fresh. The staff was nice and the continental breakfast was nice also. I would not recommend for long stay and keep your shoes or bedroom shoes on while in the room.

I would not recommend it. You cannot check in early. Access to your rooms are outside. It is not in good condition. The gpod points, close to highway access, gas stations, and Walmart and shopping.

Didn't particularly like the tone of management when discussing details of my bill. He tried to double charge me for kids although I had already paid an extra person fee. I did love the convenience if the hotel.

Nice place, would stay again. A bit wonky getting into the hotel parking lot itself but there is plenty of room to park. We had a 15" Budget truck towing our car behind it and there was PLENTY of room for us. Room was clean, bed was soft, front desk folks were super friendly and there was PLENTY of hot water. Would have been nice if there were more […] towels already in the room but we had our own so meh, not a big deal. TV worked, decent channel lineup. no clue about breakfast, I never eat the stuff anyhow. Mehr

We needed a cheap hotel. This is a bit hard to find. The price was right. They had a nice free continental breakfast. Make your own Waffles. The front desk help was very friendly. The hotel is old but if you are just sleeping and taking a shower it is fine.

Hotel not in a desirable neighborhood. Half the hotel was under renovation. Hotel staff was very friendly. Room was very clean. Bed was comfy. Hotel is OLD. Was a good location for where we had to be for 2 day conference, but would not recommend until property gets completely renovated.

Not the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, but close to it. On my first night, there was a bin of rotting garbage sitting beneath the stairs outside my room. The next day, the bin was gone, but the smell was still there. The room itself was dirty. White surfaces (walls and bathroom door) looked like they had been wiped down with a dirty rag. Not bad.. cheap place to stay.. good for the price and what I expected for the money..

Clean, friendly atmosphere, free continental breakfast. Very quiet location even with the highway so near. Convenient to surrounding locations, next to two gas stations and close to Bush River Mall. Would stay there again.

had coffee maker in room that we used the 3 days we were there but never any cups the bathrooms were stained on the back of the door with who knows what the room phone was nasty dirty like it had never been wiped since it was installed my sisters room was in the same condition,,,she also had an ottoman in her room that was so stained that we pushed […] it to the side because we were afraid to touch it there was a train track so close that the whistle woke us up Mehr

This motel was not quite what I expected. The room was clean and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. However, it was located on a little side road next to an abandoned office building. It was close enough to the train tracks that I could hear the horn blowing at night and an active loading dock for semis was located just through the trees. […] Not the makings of a good night's sleep. Also, the hotel is old. Though it was clear the bathtub had been cleaned, it was quite stained. The floor creaked and had noticeable dips and uneven spots. In spite of the good service, I would not stay here again unless absolutely necessary. Mehr

We had no complaints about the hotel, only the toll free number we called to find out where this hotel was located. The man was rude and refused to give me directions and/or phone number of the hotel we were looking for.

Great value for the price. Some things I was not very fond of where the gaps around my door. I could see daylight from inside the room. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was adequate for a busy business person on the go. The wireless internet connection was awesome. I've stayed at very pricey hotels where there was very poor internet connection […] and for a traveling business person good connections are a MUST! Mehr

First after paying in full online, when I got to the Hotel, the desk clerk tried to charge me $10.00 more dollars. I booked a room for 4 adults and even though my confirmation showed that, he still tried and said "next time you will be charged. I am too busy right now to argue!" The Hotel is in a very bad, dirty area. There was a prostitute walking […] the parking lot when we returned from supper!!! The rooms smelled, carpet was dirty, slick feeling, the bathroom smelled and worst of all, the pillows were awful! Smelled of body odor. I had to call the front desk at 2:30am to complain about the noise outside my room...people yelling, cursing..awful. They did come and it finally calmed down, but I could not rest for the stink of the pillows!If had thought I could have gotten my money back...I certainly would have...never stay here. Mehr

The staffwere very nice but the rooms need a really good cleaning, bathroom included. The bed was comfortable but the room had a musty smell. Ghe outside building could use a rehab also. It was close to the highway andmade travelling around the area easy.

The room itself was OK with comfortable bed and pillows. The location was great and convenient to stores and restaurants. My only dissatisfaction was with the cleanliness of the bathroom. The tub was FILTHY and there was no evidence to show that the toilet had been sanitized. Yes, I would stay there again.

While checking in front desk person asked if I was there to move my daughter in to college and he commented that I was from Maryland. Then proceeded to tell me that University of South Carolina was not a good school and there was better ones in South Carolina. Myself and another parent told him we disagreed. He continued to tell me about other schools […] and I asked for my keys. If you are a USC parent please don't partronage this establishment. Mehr

The Days Inn's suites are accessed from the parking lot, and are not quite as convenient as hotels with a central lobby. The overall facilities were fine. The continental breakfast was very good, with a variety of foods. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing directions to the hotel, all night dining facilities, and for our departure the next […] morning. Mehr

The experience at this hotel was horrible. The local police burst into our room while my wife and I were sleeping because the hotel manager gave them the wrong room to a 911 call concerning domestic violence in one of the other rooms. In fact, the police were there all day trying to track a suspect. The cleaning staff was outside our room and down the […] hall when this happened. When I approached them expressing what happened and the distressed it caused my wife they simply said, "What do you want us to do about it? And, you can't blame the hotel for this." I was expecting at least a little more courtesy and sympathy. Even the police apologized. In fact, the officer suggested my wife and I move to another hotel since this one always get 911 calls of unlawful activities. When I approached the hotel manager he was very nonchalant and offered us no compensation for our disturbing incident. Again, he said it wasn't the hotel's problem. True, he can't help who rents the room, but I would think he would at least do what he can to encourage repeat business. And, he did give the police the wrong room number, which does make him partially responsible, if not completely, for our inconvenience. The police came back the next night and apprehended the suspect, but almost burst into our room again. The only reason we stayed the extra night was because we had already paid for all nights of stay and the manager made it very clear that he was not going to compensate us for anything. Yes, I will NEVER stay at the hotel again and would advise others to do the same. Mehr

it's very dusty, smells very musty . it's in need of repair.

The hotel manager and staff were very professional, I would stay here again and recommend this hotel. The room was very clean and the location is great!

It is fine for a 2 star hotel. I was just using it for a bed as I had meetings/trade show. The internet worked well and it was fine for the price.

at first i had a small issue with a couple of piece's furniture in the room, but the manager had maintaince take care of it right away, and i had a very pleasant stay. when i return to columbia, s.c. i plan on staying at this paticular hotel again..

This was a nice hotel for the price I paid. The major drawback with this hotel was that on both days I stayed there, the cleaning staff entered my room with me in it without knocking prior. Idid not like that they did not knock and would just enter my room. Luckily I was dressed each time but this really turned me off. I checked in to the Days Inn and was initially pleased with the quality for the price as they had just renovated. I settled in, showered, grabbed a bite to eat and as I finished a very large cockroach crawled out from under the a/c. I smashed it with my shoe, went to get something to pick it up with and it ha disappeared. Needless to say, I wasn't going […] to pay to sleep amongst the roaches, so I called the manager. He was very apologetic and moved me to another room. Once I settled in he called to make sure everything was satisfactory. Just as I was telling him it was, two more roaches appeared. At that point he wanted to see for himself and was surprised and disgusted that there was such a problem as there usually isn't one. He was very sorry and offered me the option to either have the roaches eradicated or to receive a full refund to move to a different hotel. I chose the latter and left the hotel at 11 pm after trying two rooms in under 3 hours. I'm appreciative of the manager being so understanding, but would not want to try this hotel again as there was a much nicer hotel down the street for not that much more of a cost at the time of my visit. If you're in the area, I would definitely recommend you select a different location for the night. Mehr

The hotel staff were very nice It is convenient to sorrounding attractions -Riverbank Zoo, Downtown, Bush River mall, etc; and easy access to the interstate. My familyies stay was very nice.

My one night stay was as to be expected. I judge a hotel by cleanliness, quietness, and how good the water pressure is in the shower. The room is a typical hotel room and was clean enough for my taste. It was obvious the room was cleaned on a regular basis, but did have some scars from maintenance (ie, fixed drywall from plumbing repairs in bathroom). The […] amenities were good; cable, microwave, small fridge, continental breakfast, etc. The air worked and the shower water pressure was good. As with many hotels, you could hear someone outside walking by the room, but it wasnt an issue if they werent being loud or were just passing by. The hotel had convenient access to the highway, gas, and shopping (wal mart is next door). Its not the greatest neighborhood, but I saw no issues with it and had no reason for concern. We had 4 in a room with 2 queen beds. The rooms are very small. There were 2 chairs and an ottoman which with 4 people made the room even smaller. The staff was far from friendly. There were 4 in our room and every day they only left 3 bath towels, 2 wash clothes and 2 hand towels. We had to go to the office every day and request more towels. We even […] left a note on the mirrow to no avail. Bath towels were small and very, very rough on the skin. No at all pleasant. Their breakfast was a joke. You were not allowed to eat in your hotel room. They did not replace the food every morning...they just let it dwindle down and down every day until at the end of the week there was next to nothing there to eat. Lots of dirt, dust and what looks like parts of wrappers of tood in the corners of the room. Bathroom old and outdated. There was a couple one day in the office complaining about the mold in the bathroom and the bathtub. They say they are 5 sunburts in rating but do not tell you that is a rating from 2009. They would never get that rating now in 2011. To stay one night it would be fine but to stay for a week....we will never stay there again. Mehr

hotes was being repaired, pool was closed, room was ver y mediocre, the restaurant in front was closed. It was close to the freeway, and a good rate.

The hotel was very clean, the room was clean, the location was good, there were plenty of stores around and restaurants as well. My biggest complaint is that the staff all behaved very strange. They kind of freaked me out a little bit.

I had a very nice and clean room and the value was exceptional. No problems at all with the room and the high speed internet worked well. It was a very very good rate for the room and I was pleasantly surprised with quality of the room.

I recently stayed at the Days Inn on my way down to Augusta, GA. I went inside to check in and gave him my last name. Once the reservation was confirmed, lacking even the most minute shred of hospitality told me to give him my driver's license and credit card. I attempted to ask him to directions for a restaurant nearby and he dismissed me until after […] he was done with everything he had to do (copying the license, etc.) The room was acceptable given the price and the bed was comfortable but the service was horrendous.
