I was in town for a wedding (not at the hotel) and was so pleased with my hotel stay. Comfortable beds, clean and modern, with a very inviting lobby. We spent quite a bit of time in the pool area which has tons of comfortable seating and lounges, trees and plants, and is very quiet and private (except to hotel guests). We were there to visit family and the services, 24 hour market, bistro with breakfast and omlet bar, along with the location and condition of the hotel made it an excellent hotel. The staff was very friendly and we had a wonderful stay.

Great location, just a block or two from the main street. Hotel staff were really nice. They even called once we got in the room to make sure everything was ok. Not sure what is going on with the sheets but they were really soft. Odds are that is what happens after you wash them 1000 times.

I had a great experience staying at this hotel. The staff was polite and helpful at the curb, at the front desk, and hotel maids were quick and accommodating. The room was a nice size, over looked a nice pool area, had a couch, microwave & fridge along with the expected king bed, dresser & desk. The bathroom was large but unremarkable. A short block […] and a half off the main drag, we were really close to lots of good restaurants and shopping. It was an easy 5-10 minute drive to Occidental College and much nicer than any of the Eagle Rock motels. My only (minor) complaint is that the walls are a little thin--2 of three nights we could hear lots of talking after 11pm that made it a little difficult to fall asleep, but not so much that I was actually motivated to get up and go next door or call the front desk. Every staff person we encountered was positive and willing to help with any questions or directions. I loved the self park on each floor. Loading the car was simple and non-stressful. One of the mattresses had a wire sticking out the side. We reported it upon check out. The hotel needs some updating in the rooms. They look a little tired. Excellent […] coffee in the room. Mehr

MY ROOM HAD OLDER FURNITURE THAT NEEDED CLEANING. ALSO, THE HEATING/AIR CONDITIONING UNIT WAS OLD WITHOUT MANY TEMP. SETTINGS FOR COMFORT.

The location was great and the service was impeccable. The lobby was contemporary and clean. The rooms ~ while clean and comfortable ~ were small and exremely dated. The bathrooms were the worst; not much better than baths in a 1-star hotel. This was not an inexpensive hotel and the rooms should reflect that.

Courtyard by Marriott Old Pasadena is a nice hotel with friendly staff. Nothing bad to say. They even accommodated my full size Van in there parking structure. I would stay there again.

Good breakfast/food/drink set-up. nice pool, nice courtyard, quiet hotel, except for the Thursday night 12 to 2am latin block party. We would definitely come back.

Very nice hotel. I would definitely recommend staying here. Staff is friendly, courteous, and competent. Hotel rooms, common areas, and outside are clean and well-maintained. You can't ask for much more than that.

Exceptionally accommodating staff here. Every person we talked to went out of their way to help and were super courteous.

We stayed several days for a wedding in the area and needed two rooms. The staff was very helpful getting us rooms together and helped with getting a suit pressed in a hurry. Our room faced the central courtyard and was very quiet. The room was clean, hotel looks to have been recently renovated. It smelled nice on my whole floor. My room faced the courtyard which was nice so that I wasnt bothered by the noise of Fair Oaks avenue, and the pool. The hotel is beautiful. The front desk staff was very friendly and the conceirge was very helpful. I especially loved that it was 2 blocks from the Gold Class Cinema, which is why we were in Pasadena in the first place. We got to enjoy the bar at the Cinema, and did not have to worry about driving home, because we so close to our hotel. The room was […] very clean, and the bed was very plush. great location---bedding motel 6 quality!!!

The hotel staff was very helpful and proactive in finding ways to make my stay pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable and I was able to get all of my work done in my room thanks to the wi-fi internet connection. Best of all, the Metro light rail station is just around the corner, so I was able to get up, run on the treadmill, have breakfast, get […] and out the door at a leisurely pace, and still make it to my meeting in downtown LA without having to worry about traffic delay. This hotel was very clean and comfortable. After returning from dinner it was nice to sit in the lobby by the fire and have a coffee. Will stay again if i get back to visit.

Clean, nicely appointed hotel, conveniently located by many restaurants and shopping and Pasadena attractions. Easy access to freeway. Went on a nice bike ride around the area during the day starting by the hotel. Only complaint is that the pillows were extremely firm and plump, so I did not have a comfortable night (though my spouse slept perfectly […] well on the same type of pillow). Mehr

The Courtyard by Marriott in Pasadena is comfortable, clean and a a good deal, especially for its location. It's walking distance to restaurants, coffee and nightlife. And the hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Nice place.

This hotel is just about perfect, a lot of nice things going for it as far as location and cleanliness of the facility. I know I will always remember it because on this past xmas I proposed to my fiance here. I thought the room was nice, nothing that will not make you feel like your not a hotel but also better then most hotels. The price seemed about […] right. The bed was comfy, the room was nice, they have high def tv and cable (which is rare). The wifi was nice as well. The only real problem I had was that you had to pay to park. This was sort of a bummer. One night of valet was $17 and to park yourself it is still $15. I wish I knew this before booking the hotel, I might have looked for somewhere with free parking...but all in all this was a nice place and you really have to pay a lot to park anywhere in L.A. area so I came to terms with it, just be advised. We have now stayed at the Marriott in Old Town Pasadena twice, and would not hesitate to visit again. The location is perfect for walking to shopping and restaurants. There was a valet parking fee but it was more affordable than other hotels in the area... and the valet service was prompt and professional. We had a late night check in and the Concierge […] was very helpful with finding us late night dining, cuisine specific, within walking distance! Nice work, Marriott! Mehr

The stay here was pleasent but the price is high especially if you have to pay for your parking as a guest. For that reason I will not stay again

Marriott presumably took over an old hotel and re-did it in standard Courtyard fashion. Room was clean, adequately fitted, quiet (on the sixth floor in the back). There is a charge for parking, but it's in the garage right next to the hotel, and one can drive up to the garage level corresponding to the hotel floor, so getting luggage to and from a car […] is easy. The main commecial strip (Colorado Blvd) is a couple of blocks away. Perfectly acceptable hotel. Mehr

very nice, breakfast not extensive enough, the maid never left new toilitries or cups for drinks/coffee, etc we had to go find them ourselves in breakfast room

The hotel was conveniently located near the Rose Bowl Stadium and the rooms were nice. Our only frustration was with the bathroom doors. They weren't hung plumb, so the door made a horribly loud noise when you attempted to close it. The neighboring room seem to have the same issue. It's not a luxury hotel, but overall a great deal, great location, and very comfortable in every way. The staff is quite nice. The microwave and mini fridge in the room are always appreciated. The hotel has a nice bar/bistro for drinks and coffee and snacks most hours of the day and a little market for better than usual snacks, beer, wine and soda that […] I think was open 24/7. The exercise room was small, but the equipment was nice and not flimsy like it is in some hotels. Bed and pillows comfy. Starbucks coffee in the room and Bath & Body Works products. And the location with all the fantastic shops and restaurants of Pasadena just outside the door could not be better. I highly recommend this hotel, and I would happily stay again. Great location for the wedding we were attending in downtown Pasadena. Having parking at the hotel (even for a price) was an important convenience. The building is in good shape and well maintained. Room was clean with the exception of one hair in the room from a previous visitor.

We have stayed here several times and everytime the service is excellent. The are so curteous and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Great design for casual meeting, dining, grab and go food and drinks. You have figured out what travelers want in a hotel. Five gold stars!

Very nice hotel with great service. Close to everything. We were in town for a wedding - it was within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

The TV location in our room with a king bed is on the side. In order to watch TV, we have to watch with our heads turn to the side. In my opinion, it is not a comfortable position to watch TV.

This was my first stay in one of the new Courtyards, and I was impressed by the welcoming lobby. This hotel is in a great location. The room was on the small side, but our plan wasn't to spend much time there anyways. This property compares well to some of the older options in town.

Very good place and hotel to stay. Neibor is really nice for shopping and food. Hotel is really clean and nice. However, $15 for parking should be included...
