The CS Madeira was exactly what we were looking for in Funchal - Walking distance to center town, but far enough to be quite and calm. Modern new hotel, with fantastic swimming pool facilities and access to the ocean (if you don't mind the cold atlantic waters...). Most of the rooms with full front view of the Ocean, which was fabulous, and are well […] equipted. Free underground parking was a nice bonus when renting a car (recommended if planning to travel around the island). Breakfast buffet was good. We spent a week at this hotel for a summer vacation and we were satisfied by its overall value. The superior rooms are spacious and offer a great sea view. It is located in the Lido which is the hotel area of Funchal (not close but within walkable distance of the historical center) where you can find plenty of good evening spots. The breakfast buffet […] was really convincing though I would not recommend their Italian restaurant (food was average, slow service and you can find way better 5min away from there). The cons are related to the huge size of the resort: we clearly felt like being 2 out of hundreds of guests. In spite of the modern design, the hotel has no cachet and the staff is nice but not as dedicated as what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Besides, it was full of families with young children so don't expect to relax (I would tell the management to improve that especially at the swimming pools with children diving and playing all around...) This was our first visit to Maderia and we were not dissapointed. We loved everything about the hotel, the rooms were lovely, bright, spacious and modern with a huge bed. A stunning, modern hotel with good food, beautiful rooms, excellent location & friendly, helpful staff. Wish we had been staying longer!

Overall a highly recommendable experience. Great breakfast choice, quality and service. The location is superb, front line, close to several wonderful restaurants, and within easy reach of the town centre and all attractions. Beautiful hotel right on the sea. Let down by shoddy service for breakfast (one morning I had to ask a manager to find me a table, they were all dirty or occupied, and another morning I had finished breakfast before I was offered coffee). My husband and I were there for our honeymoon and we had a spectacular time. They accommodated us to our requests and the staff was generally friendly. They sent us a complimentary bottle of espumante and fruit as well! The hotel has a great pool that's right by the water and if you feel so inclined, access to the sea. It was super relaxing and at […] night they set up tables and bean bags for late night drinks. The food at breakfast was great and we ate well. Mycket bra hotell nära både trevlig strandpromenad och mataffär samt en hel del bra restauranger. Bra frukost också! Gansks lyhört men det var bara en kväll som de hade något event i lobyn mitt i natten. Mycket trevlig personal också. Undvik att boka levadavandringar via hotellet då det bara är dyrt och bättre och mer givande att gå levadorna själv […] ! Mehr

Excellent. Hotel impeccable avec de nombreux services, une vue splendide sur l'océan, un personnel parlant français. Seul bémol, le Wifi payant ce qui est surprenant pour un hotel de ce standing. Je le recommande!

nous avons réservé une soirée restaurant , le buffet entrée était très classique et choix restreint. pour le plat principal mais de grande fraicheur. la piscine extérieure précisée chauffée ne l'était pas.

El hotel está casi de estreno!! esta muy bien mantenido, la atención es muy buena! vale la pena disfrutar de todas las instalaciones y del SPA. esperamos que terminen de inaugurar todos los espacios disponibles, sobre todo para el entretenimiento de los más pequeños.

Gostei muito da estadia no Hotel. Destaco a atenção e disponibilidade do staff é excelente. No mais, é um hotel moderno e confortável, bem localizado, os equipamentos e serviços estão todos em pleno funcionamento e bem conservados e o buffet de pequeno almoço é muitissimo bom. A voltar.

Hotellin kuntosalilla oli hyvä aloittaa aamu ja siirtyä sitten hetkeksi rentoutumaan saunaan ja uima-altaaseen tai jacuzziin. rien a redire....un hotel parfait a tous niveaux...nous avons adore et nous comptons y retourner.... bien situe et tres propre. accueil parfait.....vu magnifique.....

Gennemført fint hotel, med gode pool faciliteter, god morgen mad, og en fantastisk udsigt. Tilmed meget stille.

O valor da diária do hotel que paguei no verão foi o mesmo que paguei agora no início do outono, porém, o serviço do hotel foi inferior. No período entre as 16 e 19 horas não consegui tomar um café nem qualquer outra bebida no hotel. Nem os telefones da recepção e restaurantes atendiam para servir-me no quarto. Decepcionante.

L'hotel si trova lungo la via degli alberghi e si affaccia direttamnte sul mare con una vista splendida. E' un po' distante dal centro, soprattutto viste le salite di Funchal, ma niente di insuperabile. Il personale è accogliente ed educato. La camera è spaziosa e tutte, pure quelle che citano come partial view, si affacciano sul mare, solo che è in […] parte coperto dalla vegetazione del giardino. L'albergo si sviluppa anche sotto il livello stradale scendendo fino alla scogliera. Ha 2 piscine esterne di acqua di mare meravigliose ed un bar dove si mangia un pasto veloce o si prende un drink. Buono anche l'altro ristorante aperto a cena ed a colazione sempre a buffet dove si trova tutto e di ottima qualità. E' presente anche una piscina interna, la palestra, 2 campi da squash, il campo da tennis e quello da pallavolo. Offre pure l'accesso libero all'idromassaggio, alla sauna ed al bagno turco. In più è presente una buona SPA dove però tocca prenotare i trattamenti in anticipo e questa è l'unica pecca perché chi viene a Madeira passa il tempo a visitarla e quando torna nel pomeriggio magari ha voglia di un massaggio o altro senza avere la necessità di ricordarsene il giorno prima; non che la SPA sia piena, anzi, ma credo che la persona che effettua i trattamenti venga solo su prenotazione. Direi che l'albergo è perfetto, specie per chi viene a Madeira non solo per vedere l'isola, ma per passare del tempo rilassandosi sotto il sole e facendo il bagno nell'oceano. Mehr

O Hotel é belíssimo e confortável. O quarto é limpo e maravilhoso, com vista panoramica para o mar. O pequeno almoço espetacular e de alta qualidade como tudo o mais no hotel. O SPA é uma opção a mais, com tratamentos e massagens maravilhosos. Adorei e não tenho reclamações a fazer, somente elogios. Parabéns!

We stayed a week at CS Madeira. The hotel is nicely located and fairly new. It is enormous which means it has many services, but also in our opinion lacks atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and helpful, particular thanks to the hairdresser Cristina. We would recommend this hotel to families with kids more than couples, although of course it serves […] both.
