Comfort Inn South Jacksonville - Jacksonville

THE FRONT DESK SERVICE WAS THE WORSE SERVICE THAT I HAVE EVER RECEIVED AT A HOTEL. I WILL NEVER STAY AT ANOTHER COMFORT INN IN MY LIFE.

I had a wonderful room that was very spacious, well appointed and clean. Location was easy to get to and easy to get into town for my meetings. I recommend.

It was fine. The maid was a little abrasive. People working behind the counter a bit slow with service. Clean but rather expensive.

The hotel was fine, but it was expensive for the area, probably the most expensive hotel in town. Other hotel rates are half as much.

My daughter and I stayed at Jacksonville, IL Comfort Inn this weekend and I was not at all satisfied. I would not reccomend this hotel to stay in. First there were some ants on the nightstand. The faucet in the shower never stops running. The other guests in the hotel made comments about me as I walked in through the lobby on several occasions. There […] were people jammed in the dining area with a sign reserved for a particular party. I don't think this was discounted in my bill because every other time I am allowed to use the dining area. I saw people drinking from beer cans in the lobby and were sitting there on the furniture like it was a bar. I am sure there wasn't a bar and did not appreciate this since I don't think it is appropriate since this is not a bar area. We couldn't have swam in the pool even if we wanted to because it was full of kids that I could hear making noise in my room and these kids were running up and down the halls and stairs constantly. In the morning there was loud music from the next room at 9 am from the maid who was cleaning. As far as I know I didn't have to check out until 12 am and could have slept a little more. I won't be using this hotel anymore because of these problems. I paid a lot of money for my stay. I come to Jacksonville to visit my daughter at the school for the deaf a few times a year because she is the most important thing in my life and having to put up with these inconviences puts a damper on my weekend I looking forward to. The hotel is nothing like the pictures. It stunk of mold and mildew and who knows what else. The breakfast was so spread out on the counter it looked good at first, but it was worthless, nasty, gross. The staff is unfriendly, no one spoke a word to us, NOT ONE WORD!! Maybe they don't know English... It is close to the main highway, which is the only […] good point. I do no recommend this place, unless you are desperate! Mehr

As we opened the door of our hotel room, the smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming. We had a double queen room, and the room itself was spacious. Beds were comfortable. But it was hard to forget the smell of smoke. When we came home our belongings all reeked of smoke. Nice swimming pool, friendly staff.
