Comfort Inn King's Cross - London

Es gibt sicherlich bessere Hotels, aber in London sind diese deutlich teurer. Nicht, dass das Comfort Inn Kings Cross günstig ist, aber immerhin bezahlbar. Dies allerdings unter abstrichen des Komforts: alles ist klein und eng. Zudem werden gerade einige Zimmer renoviert. Es tut sich etwas. Eines allerdings: Mein Kollege sagt immer: "Home is, where […] WIFI is". Zur Kommunikation mit der Familie ist dies natürlich auch sehr praktisch. Dies war im Comfort Inn allerdings deutlich überteuert: mehrere Pfund pro Stunde sollte es kosten. Bei dem Zimmerpreis meiner Meinung nach ein NoGo. Mehr

Das sogenannte "Doppelbett" war nur 130 cm breit, das Zimmer lag im Keller und war dunkel und klein, der Schrank hatte keine Türen etc. Das Personal war zwar bemüht, konnte aber an den baulichen und Ausstattungsmängeln nichts ändern.

Insbesondere vom Flughafen London-LUTON super-gut erreichbares Hotel (vom Bahnhof St. Pancras zu Fuß in 2 Minuten). Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind bequem mit der U-Bahn erreichbar. In unmittelbarer Umgebung gibt es sowohl preiswerte Restaurants als auch Fast-Food. Ich würde das Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen (hatte allerdings ein Zimmer in einer oberen […] Etage [mit Fenster]). Es stand nur ein sehr kleiner Raum mit Einzelbett, zu kurz selbst für Durchschnittsgröße, zur Verfügung. Die Hausebenen waren nur mit Fahrstuhl befahrbar, da die Treppe zu schmal und steil ausgefallen ist.

Perfekt ist die Lage des Hotels, auch punkto Sauberkeit gibt's nichts einzuwenden. Das Zimmer jedoch ist so klein, dass man den Koffer aufs Bett legen muss, um ihn zu öffnen. Die verwinkelten Gänge/Treppen, die zum Zimmer führen, eignen sich nur für extrem schlanke Leute. Der Frühstücksraum befindet sich im Untergeschoss, also kein Fenster, kein Tageslicht, […] ziemlich öde! An der Theke ist man freundlich, die Auskünfte sind jedoch spärlich (z. Bsp. Zimmer und Bad waren sauber. Frühstück typisch englisch aber auch ok. Kann es auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Personal unpersönlich und gleichgültig,Doppelzimmer war winzig und im Suterrin fast ganz ohne Tageslicht, Matratzen schlecht, extrem hellhörig, Frühstück sehr einfach, Getränkeautomat im Foyer defekt. Lage des Hotels verkehrstechnisch sehr gut. Zu teuer für das gebotene. Nicht nochmal.

Personal sehr höflich und freundlich. Service zufriedenstellend.

Sauberes gut gelegenes Hotel. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.

I had already booked my stay when I read a few reviews - these were not very good and "Comfort" seemed to be the most inappropriate adjective to describe this hotel. However, I was very pleasantly surprised. My room was situated in a new building away from the main reception. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from Kings X, the room was very clean, tea and […] coffee making facilities, a good shower and a comfortable bed - all I needed. The staff were very friendly and to get around London, the location is perfect albeit a little noisy. There is only a continental style breakfast option and this is served in a small area in the hotel basement. Overall, I would rate this hotel 4.5/5 and I would stay here again. Mehr

Located close to the airport with a shuttle bus. No restaurang on site but there are a couple next door. The hotel is clean and nice.

Room was small, bed was comfortable, i. Flat screen tv. Bathroom was an add on room to the main building and was very cold, but overall clean and ok. Carpets need to be cleaned/replaced.

I was really disappointed with my recent stay considering the cost. The location is very close to Kings Cross (walking distance) which is fine, but the hotel itself felt more like a youth hostel. We had been "upgraded" to a family room which was housed in the basement. RIght next to the room where the breakfast was held, meaning from 6am there was constant […] noise outside the door. The room itself was tatty at best. It had an old futon, uncomfortable bed and wardrobe with no door. Most worrying was that as the room was below street level, there was a gateway with steps leading directly to the window with very little security. I did not feel safe in this room and if it was for more than one night would have asked to change. The bathroom was clean, although the toileteries were all kept in giant dispensers. And there was no hot water. If this place was more reasonably priced, I would be fine with it, but we have definitely paid less for better hotels in London. Mehr

Positive - Staff are very friendly and courteous. Cons - The single rooms are very small and bareky enough room to move about especially with the bathroom. youcannot miss hitting yourself against the wash basin if you are not careful to navigate around it to go towards the toilet or towards the shower stall. Friendly and helpful staff. Well located and the hotel is clean. However, rooms are very small.

Hotel was conveniently placed and the staff were very helpful and efficient. Carpets on stairs and corridors were worn out. My room was near a main road- noisy with sirens.

All rooms are not accessible via the elevator. I had to carry my luggage up three flights of stairs!

Very conveniently located close to King's Cross/St Pancras and reasonably priced for the location - my only actual problem was with the bed which was pretty uncomfortable, but I believe that I was unfortunate in that my particular room has not yet been reacched by the hotel's ongoing refurbishment programme.The staff were pleasant and helpful and I […] would certainly give it a go in future. The hotel has great location being very close to Kings cros and tube stations . The room was small and unpleasantly hot even with the windows open this may be due to being top floor not sure . there was ac but did not have access to use it . The hotel serves an simple and adequate buffet at breakfast . staff are helpful and pleasant .

I was here for a single night and I chose it as I had to get an early train from Kings Cross the following day. For which the location is perfect. However - The TV in the room wasn't tuned and I couldn't seem to pick up any channels. I contacted the staff but there was no one available to fix it. The buffet breakfast was not good at all. The cereal […] was stale, as was the bread rolls. There was only one type of indeterminable meat (a kind of whitish processed stuff) available and the juice dispenser just contained water. It you want a quick stop over for the location it's fine, if you want a longer stay then look elsewhere. An Inn, yes. Comfort, no. Mehr

I have stayed at the Comfort Inn King's Cross on a several occasions now for work purposes, and have always found it cheap and cheerful. 5* hotel it isn't, but for the cost you get adequate accommodation in a very central location, with a basic non-cooked breakfast thrown in for good measure.

Was assisted by very friendly front desk staff after asking several touristy questions. Inclusive breakfast was nice and location is handy for Kings Cross. Overall pretty happy, cheers!

Located in a great area, and near many good restaurants. Staff very friendly and helpful. Going back to Scotland in April and will return here.

Upon arrival, the room I was in was below workmen fitting new rooms. I complained about the noise and was upgraded to a top floor suite. Very nice, good nights sleep, pleasant staff easy location from rail and tube. Not recommended for those with a walking disability , corridors are small and meandering .

First; this is not a 4-star hotel. It is more like a 3-star. The service at the hotel was great. The staff was very friendly and helpfull! The location was awesome. We used 3-4 minutes to the tube, and had everything just a few stops away (Camden Town, Piccadilly Circus etc.). As said before, this is not a 4-star hotell. The size of the room is fine. The flush didn't work at all. The hair dryer didn't work to well. The water was cold. Except from this the room was accetable. The breakfast was horrible, but the service was good. Overall an ok value for money, but please don't except a four star ranked accommodation because it is clearly not.

There was a note in the lift about renovations going on at the hotel and how they were trying to do this with the least possible inconvenience to the guests. Apparently they didn't think it might be pretty inconsiderate to trample around like elephants from 7am on a Saturday morning! (And then I'm not even mentioning the mind-numbing hammering that […] went on from later in the morning and in the afternoons of my stay) On top of that (well, they were doing renovations so maybe that'll be fixed) my room - which was only on the second story out of four, I think - had a leaky ceiling! I woke up one night where it was raining because it was dripping on my headboard and from there splashing down on me. Further on hotel staff surely wasn't either the kindest or the most helpful (and I've have a lot to compare them to lately) and the room was incredibly tiny. This hotel is not a very nice hotel and definitely not value for money. We picked it because it was 4 stars but thats a joke. I have no idea how it can have 4 stars as its more like a bad B&B. Breakfast is awful and the family room we had was dated with bedding not even worthy of a camp bed. Never again. My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay. The hotel is only a 2 minute walk from the Euro-Star train station and very close to the subway (tube as they call it in London) The hotel is a little hard to find, as it is on a side street, and most of the people we asked didn't know, but we finally found it. Just turn left after you leave the train station […] and eventually you will find it. The hotel is rated as 4 stars, but it is more of a 3 star hotel, as the rooms are very small and the beds are single, but the bathroom is nice and there is a TV set. The hotel is noisy outside and lots of sirens are heard, as the hotel is close to a major hospital. The complimentary breakfast is okay, but not a typical English breakfast, if you want that there are many restaurants close by that have the traditional English breakfast for around 5 pounds. The hotel was clean, nice personal, reasonably priced, and in a great location. Who could ask for more. Mehr

Very convenient for Kings Cross area.

Tiny small room- dirty, smelling carpet - restyled, but smelly and dirty bathroom. Breakfast not delicious, staff not friendly! Will never come back!
