Mornington Hotel Stockholm City - Stockholm

We didn't know Stockholm at all and therefore in the beginning we were a little bit worried about the distances. The area of the hotel turned out to be our favorite place. Next to metro station we could easily go everywhere plus really close to where the buses for most of the museums and boat trips start! The bed was really comfortable and we were quite happy to go back in the comfort of our room after spending the whole day sightseeing and walking around. Great value for money! Comfy, clean and nice furnished room. Maybe somewhat small, but the efficient use of space made up for that. Breakfast was very good as well. Fresh and wide variety. The hotel is located in a good downtown location. The staff is very friendly and helpful, we didn't have any issues with them. The breakfast buffet offered a vast selection of food ranking for a good 4-star place. The hotel is in a great location - quiet but within easy walking distance of good shopping and sights. The rooms are a good size and spotless. Lovely, lovely hotel in a great neighborhood of Stockholm. Our room was extremely quiet, though on the second floor. Breakfast was bountiful, although crowded on the weekend.

in a great residential neighborhood but very close to all. The only negative was that the gym was a little weird and stinky and not clear whether included in the rate.

I stayed in a single and then a twin. The single was smartly laid out and there was plenty of room. Rooms are very clean and well maintained. Good buffet breakfast included.

Superb location within short walking distance to the City centre. Shops and the fantastic Ostermalm's Saluhall is only a couple of minutes a way. A visit to Ostermalm's Saluhall with a phenomenal display of fantastic food (both to buy and eat) is an absolute must. The hotel is quiet and clean, and recently refurbished. The hotel was nice, in a quiet neighborhood, with a great breakfast. The room was small, with a double bed, a small desk, and a convertible sofa/bed. There was a small refrigerator which you could store your personal food in, and a lockable safe, both for no extra charge. My only disappointment in the room was that there was no dresser to put my clothes […] in -- I had to live out of my suitcase for the week I was there. The room was supposedly air conditioned, but it was not cool enough on the hottest days so be careful if you're traveling over the summer. Ask for a room facing into the courtyard which provides better shade from the sun and more quiet if you need to keep the window open. The hotel has bicycles you can borrow for as long as you want, but they only have a few and they have no reservation system, so you need to wake up early if you want one. The hotel provides wireless through the 'homerun' hotspot system run by Telia. These hotspots are also in other parts of town (and the country) which is nice if you're out and want to get online, just find a Wayne's Coffee which also uses the same system. it's a quick walk to the center of town (as long as you're not lugging your suitcases -- for that, use the metro which is two short blocks away). Perfectly situated, 5 Minutes from Hop-on Hop Off Boots, big nice rooms, fantastic breakfast, room-maids could clean a little bit more (dirty mugs stayed in room, after cleaning etc.). Overall very nice hotel

This has to be one of the nicest hotels in central Stockholm, great location and excellent staff with a very positive attitude. I have stayed at most of the up market hotels in Stockholm and this certainly ranks among the best...

The Mornington hotel is right next to the T-Bana and in a great surrounding neighborhood. The restaurant/bar in the lobby is awesome and the room was clean and well-appointed. However, the hotel is currently under construction, which meant noise began each weekday morning at 6:45, with drilling that sounded like it was in our wall starting promptly […] at 8 and continuing for at least an hour until we could get out of the room. Moreover, we returned to our room on the second night to a note from the hotel indicating that we wouldn't have heat or hot water available from 8 pm to 7 am and that they hoped this was ok. Perhaps with advance warning we could have planned ahead, but returning after 8 pm and finding this note was a bit of a surprise. If this hotel is still available for the great price on hotels.com after the construction, it will be well worth it, but in the meantime, maybe not... Mehr

Perfectly fine hotel. Cute. Ample breakfast buffet. Expensive neighborhood. Not too far to walk to most city sights.

the hotel had overbooked and so gave me a room SMALLER than what i had booked and payed for. the room was dirty and only the bedding had been changed since the previous guest. i spent most of my trip at reception complaining

I liked the lobby for its odd style. My stay was short ( one night, but I was able to guess the quality from other customers. Room comfort and cleaniness was fair to good. However the staff were very friendly and helpful. I think I will check this hotel in my next trip too.

The Monrington is in a great location for siteseeing. Being in a semi residential area it was quiet at night (however the bin men did arrive at 7.30 sharp every morning) but only a few yards walks to very good, shops restaurants and bars. It is only about a 15 to 20 minute walk to Gamla Stam. Breakfast was included and quite good. The biggest drawback […] was the size of the rooms. Our room was classed a "superior room" but was very small - not unusual in a large city. As I told friends who were joining us "dont bring the cat - there's no room to swing it". Mehr

Rooms, furnishings, and breakfasts were uniformly excellent, and the staff was courteous and helpful.

This hotel is delightful and the library in the lobby makes a traveler feel especially welcome. Maybe a few more books in English would be nice-maybe English translations of a few of the Swedish books but the Swedish books are wonderful. The one computer in the lobby was often in use and not quick. I don't travel internationally with a laptop so I was […] happy to have this computer but would have preferred a newer, faster one where I could also sit. Mehr

Came to Stockholm with the intention of having a relaxing few days break, and the hotel helped achieve that aim. Handily located for the sights (and good pubs), but very quiet allowing a good night's sleep. Extensive breakfast sets you up for the day. The room was fairly small, but large enough. Nice location, close to downtown, very quiet neighborhood.

This is a good hotel in a good area, some nice shops and bars around Ostermalm which you might not see if you only go to the shopping streets around Sergels Torg-way. Breakfast is really good. No complaints, would stay again.

We travelled with our 14 month old there and they were great at providing us with a quality room that had room for the crib and helped us with all the questions we had.

The included breakfast buffet was great, and we were able to hold off on food until dinner, saving us some money. It's in a really beautiful part of the city; close to both the Old Town (Gamla Stan) and the downtown area. Also very close to the water, where a lot of the boat tours leave from. It was a bit of a walk from the Central Station, but other […] than that, the location cannot be beat. Also managed to get an excellent rate, making it really affordable to stay at this very nice/comfortable hotel. Room was quite spacious. I have been traveling around Scandinavia for a couple of weeks now and this is my favorite hotel so far! The staff was extremely helpful and kind. We stayed in Stockholm last week end (really unlucky with the weather). The hotel is ok, the hall is really nice and our room was pretty nice (the bathroom is small but you can do it!!)...You can have a great choice for breakfast but for Italian people like us cakes and pastries are almost missed at all :-( The location of the hotel is perfect and also […] the area is lovely (actually one of the best for the nightlife)...Overall I reccomend it, even if I could see another room on the 4th floor (we stayen on the 1st one, maybe the 'new' part of the hotel) and it wasn't very comfortable....Enjoy :-) Mehr

This hotel is in a great location , it has a cosy reception area, great breakfast and the room was clean and had everything you'd need. I especially liked the free ice machines in the corridors!

We had a communications glitch & I didn't reserve early, only 1 week before the trip. While early other hotels were about One Thirty Five/ night, the low end 1 week before included the Mornington (closer to two hundred/ night). WOW, scandinavia is expensive! That said, great hotel. On Eastern (nice) side of the city. 2 blocks from Tbana station. Quiet […] most day & night. Free Wi-fi in room & 1 terminal in lobbby. Great Breakfast & they opened early day of our (early) flight. Skønt med badstue

Svært godt fornøyd med Mornington, gåavstand til de fleste severdighetene, rolig område, god frokost, rene og hyggelige rom. Anbefales!

Super dejligt beliggende hotel, go morgenmad, alt hvad hjertet begærer.

Stannade en natt, mot Valborg. Trevligt bemötande, rent och fin hotell, mycket bra läge. Prisvärt. Frukosten kanon. Garaget bland de trängre jag upplevt men med liten bil så :) Kommer återvända till hotellet när övernattning behövs i Stockholm.

Bra gym men i övrigt ganska tråkigt hotell

Jag tycker att det var lite slitet och ofräscht men för priset jag betalade var det värt.

Et vellykket opphold på et hyggelig hotell. Det som særlig overrasket for en som er glad i bøker, var at det var velfylte bokhyller nærmest over alt på hotellet. Og dette var skikkelige bøker oppstilt alfabetisk etter forfatters etternavn. Det gikk godt an å låne de med seg opp på rommet og lese litt dersom man ønskte det. Det var forresten 20-30 bøker […] på rommet også. Riktig nok var bøkene stort sett på svensk, men tiltaket var svært positivt. I tillegg ligger hotellet sentralt i byen, men samtidig i et rolig område. Anbefales! Mehr

Meget tilfreds

Noe små rom, men veldig sentral beliggenhet. Parkering i kjeller er svært trang, så man bør helst ha en liten bil. Renhold av rommet bra,men ble utført veldig sendt på dagen, like før kl 1700. Frokost og lunsj bra, men middag på "restauranten" var en skuffelse.
