Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Irving/DFW/Dallas Airport - Irving

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Flughafen und bietet neben einem Blick aufs Rollfeld (Fluglärm bei geschlossenem Fenster nicht hörbar) einen kostenlosen (Tips USA-typisch nicht inkludiert). Wir haben es als Übernachtungsmöglichkeit vor einem Weiterflug am Folgetag genutzt. Hierzu eignet es sich wirklich hervorragend.

I was given (handicap) room #110 when I checked in at five PM, had it all set for me. I am suspicious I was "awarded" this room of because of using hotels.com, but of course, I have no way of knowing. The walls were so thin that I could hear people talking in the next room like we were all sitting together. Not loud talking, regular conversation. I […] can't believe all the rooms are like this, the desk clerk said at checkout never had similar complaint. If so, don't accept room #110! Front desk staff marginally interested in helping with directions, etc. actually gave me incomplete directions to nearby destination that ended up putting me 5 or 6 miles out of my way. We stayed here 2 separate nights. The room was nice, it was comfortable. I was not impressed with the staff at the desk, but they got the job done. Take note the hotel is right next to the airport so you could hear the planes taking off and landing. The hotel is not the easiest to get to. Part of that problem is the road signs at the airport and on […] the highway, Texas does not do a great job on their road signs. In fact, most of the roads in Texas have two or three numbers assigned to them. Anyway, I rate the hotel at somewhere between 3 1/2 to 4. Mehr

This hotel is conveniant to the airport. Unfortuneately, it is not conveniant to anything else. There are no restaurants within walking distance. There is a shuttle that will take you to nearby restaurants, but after waiting over an hour for the airport shuttle pick-up, I was not willing to chance a long wait after dinner. The experience started out bad, I ordered a king/sofa bed room, but just got a king room. Upon reading the terms more, it was a preference and depended on availability. So we ordered a roll away bed. Then the AC died and we had to rush move to another room. After that the experience was OK.

Overall it was a good stay. Nice big rooms, decent breakfast. I thought it was going to be a bit cheap but was pleasantly surprised by the rooms. Only real downside was the noise from the planes. Not sure much can be done about that.

Was very pleased with the hotel and accommodations. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Staff was great.

Awesome hotel!! It was VERY clean and comfortable and I would LOVE to stay there again. The only drawback is that I arrived late (around 11pm) and the only parking available was a good brisk walk from the door. I was alone and this bothered me. Otherwise it was PERFECT!!

We loved it! It was near the airport. The room was spacious. The shuttle brought us to Grapevine Mal and picked us up. The breakfast and snacks were on point. I would definitely stay there when I go that way again

Not bad, just not great.

We have stayed at multiple hotels in the area and parked our car their while we are out of town. The Hawthorn room was very nice, and convenient to the airport, but charged more to park our car than other local hotels. The room had a HUGE bathtub that could probably fit 3 average sized adults, but could be an issue for an elderly person trying to get […] in and out of the shower. Thanks to the airlines cancelling our flight, we were left with an 8 hour layover and a cranky 2-year old. Enter Hawthorne Suites by Wyndham. The shuttle picked us up at 5:30 am from the airport and the staff were wonderful, having our room ready and allowing us a late check-out. The room was so comfy and clean, there was a microwave and a fridge. The […] complimentary breakfast buffet was wonderful! The (free) shuttle took us back to the airport after lunch. I stayed here for a couple nights for business and it was a pretty great deal for the money. Full kitchenette and sitting area in my room. The continental breakfast was good and hot; much better than the typical bakery type continental breakfasts. The hotel was quiet. I didn't see much of the staff, so I can't really comment on that. I wish there's a warning that the hotel is in the middle of revonation. We had problem finding a parking space with all the contruction trucks and debris.

This place is very clean and right by the airport. If you are a businessman that needs high speed Internet... this is definitely the place for you. Their Internet is Smoking fast. It is probably the fastest internet I have ever found in a hotel and on top of that.... ITS FREE. i highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is located on the west side of the airport. It is only about 5 minutes away. The staff are very helpful and friendly. There are a few convenient stores close by and there are several restaurants close by as well. The only downside that I can think of is all the roadwork going on around the airport. The room was described as a two king size bed sweet it was a one king size bed sweet with a hide a bed couch. The hotel does not have sweets with two King sized beds in them Hotels.com information was not correct that was my only problem with the nights stay we were surprised. If I use hotels. The service and room were really nice. Was a little concerned about airplane noise being so close to airport but was not a problem at all. Would very likely stay again, especially at the price.

This is a nice Wyndam hotel. The hotel has some age to it but it has been remodeled recently with granite counters, fridge, sink, and coffee area in the room. I stayed there two nights and the staff was very nice. They serve a hot breakfast in the morning (eggs, bacon, french toast, waffles, and good quality orange juice not the usual orange colored […] water) At night they had a happy hour with free appetizers and cans of beer. Very surprising and nice. You can't beat this hotel for the money. Mehr

Very clean and nice. Great price and we loved the breakfast. Staff was polite and helpful.

My room was more like a mini apartment, with a full sized refrigerator/freezer, microwave and stove top. I was very impressed with the ammenities offered for the price I paid. Bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and I would highly recommend again.

This hotel was very close to the airport with free shuttle both ways. We got our suite, a room with a fridge and microwave, nice king bed and plenty of room, for what you would usually pay for a Motel 6. The hotel was quite nice. Took a little of the sting out of missing our flight!

I have no idea why hotels.com rates this so low. The staff was friendly. I loved the layout of the room, and the bed was reasonably comfortable. The complimentary breakfast selections were good. I would stay here again and very seriously consider a Wyndham property in another city/location.

We stayed overnight to catch an early shuttle to the airport. The hotel was nice, clean and the staff were professional and helpful. The return trip back to our car was quick and easy. We will stay here again.

i loved it. This place was nice and cozy I would stay Again and Again. Hotesl staff was great.

The hotel overall was very nice. A few issues with cleanliness in our bathroom and sink area, but bed was comfortable and hotel was quite considering the planes flying into the airport. Only real issue we had was the wake up call system did not take into consideration the Daylight Savings time and we received our call an hour earlier then expected. […] Wish breakfast would have been an hour earlier. :) Mehr

The hotel is very nice and clean. The rooms are large and would be great for extended stay. I only stayed one night prior to catching a flight. The hotel is right by airport parking and only few minutes from a large choice of restaurant choices. One fast food very close. There is noise from airport and such, but hey it is by the airport.

Although somewhat older than others in the area, it was maintained for the price. Updates were being made to kichnettes and bathroom. King bed EXCELLENT Disappointments was the breakfasts and the lack of variety, air conditioning required maintenance.

From the moment I walked in the door i was greeted with such enthusiasm ..the staff were the best ..Being a single woman they went out of their way to make me so happy and comfortable. My room was huge and couldn't fault it in any way . The breakfast in the morning was hot and cold and extremely well organised by the staff. Was great! Very nice. Clean and all employees were super helpful and professional. The hotel is in excellent condition and I had no problems at all. They DID provide free breakfast (though the website says they dont) was hot, fresh and fully stocked. Only thing is not very handy is that there are NO eating places or stores within walking distance. […] So unless you have a car or hop on the bus stop (out front) you have to order in. I do believe the courtesy driver WILL take you places if they are not busy, which I though that was awesome. The noise level is kind of high, because it is right next to the airport. Mehr

Very, very nice hotel. A little tricky to find but well worth it. Hotel was very nice looking in and out and very well maintained. Very, very clean w/comfortable beds. Nice hot breakfast too. Helpful staff. Would definitely recommend to anyone. You wont be disappointed.

The most convenient feature of this hotel is the shuttle. We missed our flight and had an overnight layover. The shuttle took us from the airport to the hotel, then from the hotel to the Grapevine Mills shopping mall and back. The only glitch was we had to wait 40 minutes for the ride back. But still, free shuttle, can't complain. The room was average […] sized for the mainland but enormous by Hawaii standards.Room and bathroom were both clean, with all appliances working. This was an older hotel that is undergoing renovations. There was a roach on the ceiling when I first got into the room. Construction was being performed on the room next to me had a lot of banging and thumping went on throughout the day. The free continental breakfast was just OK. The seating in the breakfast area was limited, and I found myself waiting […] up to 10 minutes for a chair. Mehr

We were very pleased with all the amenities and the size of the room for such a great deal. The only real complaint I have is that our bed was right next to the marble-topped nightstands and the corners stuck out right by your head! Rolling over and hitting an extremity is painful!! Otherwise, definitely would stay there again :)

I have stayed at this location twice and it's a very nice comfortable place. The only thing I see that they could improve upon is the quality of there breakfast.
