Had blankets with multiple cigarette burns in a non smoking room. Shower surround had several chips in porcelain that should have at least been painted. Tub was very slippery- had to be very careful not to fall. I did not give management time to change out bedding as I got to my room exhausted and just fell into bed. i've stayed here several times, as my son and family live close. I've always found it to be nice and clean and the breakfast is good too, for the price its a good deal.

The stay was fine, here's the but the toilet did not flush, we contacted the front desk and they said they would send a maintenance person they NEVER showed up. So we had to go downstairs to the lobby to go to the rest room. That was inconvenient traveling with 3 children.

We enjoyed our stay. The only two complaints i have are 1) the air in our room didn't work and 2) at check out i had to wait at the desk awhile for service. Overall a nice stay.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The suites are spacious and clean, there was an impressive breakfast spread, the pool and hot tub were well kept, and the exercise room was a definite perk. Front desk staff were friendly and truly seemed to care about the guests. We requested a crib for our little one and the next morning at breakfast, the man at […] the desk asked if she slept well in it. Location is very convenient, next to shopping and many restaurants....and only about 15min from COSI, the indoor waterpark, and Easton mall. The only thing we found wrong was that the a/c unit didn't always kick on when we turned it to cool, however it didn't bother us so much that we needed to say anything, but I'm sure the staff would have addressed it if we would have spoke up. The staff was excellent. We had a couple of personal issues and they helped us through them. They went above and beyond. Great rooms, comfortable and clean.

The room was very nice for the price! The breakfast was good. My kids had fun swimming and our room had two separate TVs so the kids were able to watch what they wanted! Customer service was good as well.

I book hotels weekly for our company and stay in the rooms I book with great success. This hotel had what seemed to be a good reputation. First, when I got there I wasn't given a double-bed room like I requested. Apparently hotels.com only "requests" double beds. If the hotel doesn't want to give this to you, you're stuck with one king size bed... for […] four people! Fun. There were no accomodations made by the hotel to work with us on this. Oh, and the hallways smelled like someone smoked a cigarette through a wet towel and left it in the hallway... that or a burned diaper... can't decide. Mehr

Was assigned a smoking room even though I had reserved a non-smoking. The tobacco smell was virtually unbearable--we would have left if all the nearby hotels hadn't been booked for an event in Columbus. The manager did give us a ionizing air cleaner which helped a bit. Great bang for the buck. Clean, nice staff, and even a decent indoor pool. Only downside was tge free breakfast left a bit to be desired. Will be back again...in fact in May!

Overall, very nice Hotel.. TheStaff was exceptionally pleasant. Only thing would be how small the rooms were, especially the bathroom. If you don't get up early enough, you will be enjoying a refreshingly cold shower, at least when the hotel is busy from an event at the Freedom Hall. Staff was friendly & accommodating. I had a broke coffee maker and they replaced it quickly. Night time staff a little slow at check in I had to wait for someone to come out of an office and they didn't know I was there. There is no bell or anything so I think they should get one or a camera so people don't have to wait or yell for assistance. The hotel was a good value but not the best in the area. They physically attach the iron to the ironing board which makes it difficult to iron. This is crazy. The elevator was broken the time we were there.

The hotel was in a convenient spot outside of Columbus and the room itself was clean enough when we got to the hotel, but that is probably the most i can say as far as positive aspects go. We stayed for a long weekend, but the room never once got cleaned, and when we asked for clean towels; we had to go to the front desk, pick them up and take them […] back upstairs. No room service, and when we went to the desk they informed us they hadn't had time to wash and washcloths so we would have to do without those. The man working the front desk was rude and short when we mentioned the room needed cleaning and informed us that if we had a do not disturb sign on our door after 11AM; the room didn't get cleaned. The elevator sounded like a death trap from the first time we got in it; and sure enough; the day we left it was broken down. Wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Mehr

This is the second time we have stayed at this Hawthorn Suites they are Accomadating and Pet Friendly. The breakfast was adequate and the weeknight light fare helps keep overall expenses down. The rooms are huge with 2 tv great for families and always clean. The decor is dated and the appliances could use to be replaced but work with a little bit of […] patience. The hotel was wonderful. It was in a very convenient location and the suite provided everything we wanted. The beds were amazingly comfortable.. The suite was very spacious. The internet deal was great! I will definitely look for Hawthorn Suites whenever we are traveling.

The rooms were very nice but my room needed a new mattress. The cleaning crew were exemplary and helpful. Appreciated that breakfast was included but due to large amount of people, they were not able to keep up with the food needs. Eggs were cold, potatoes gone, juices empty. We had booked a non-smoking room but there were smoking rooms on all sides and the hallway stunk of smoke. We had to put towels along the bottom of the door to our room to keep the smoke from coming in and we opened the window to air out the room. unfortunately my stay at this hotel was not very good, I was told when I called for conformation I had a king size bed and when I checked in I had 2 double beds. The pillows were very lumpy and one actually had the stuffing coming out of it and the water pressure sucked when you tried to take a shower. I had requested a non-smoking room.. didn't get it. Also old coffee was in the coffee pot, (not cleaned). Room stinks of smoke. Breakfast was awful. Coffee was instant kind, very awful taste. Tator tots was fried in old veg. oil. (could be better if it was baked not fried). Had to get coffee from a gas station.

This was a good place for our family of five to stay. We like having the suite style room with sitting area so my husband and I can watch tv after the kids go to bed. The breakfast was nice. I thought staying at Hawthorn Suites would be safe . This hotel was very run down . Holes in the blankets , worn out beds , refrigerator leaking water and had towel in the bottom which meant they knew about it . Appliances rusty and unclean , shower had mold in it , felt like i had just stepped into the 70's . Everything needs to be replaced and updated […] . I do not recommend this hotel . Mehr

It is was not worth it. In the first day the elevators did not work and I have to take the stairs to the third elevators. My room was not clean in my first day the sheets and blankets smelled badly. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody

We stayed for a sat and sun night. The staff was very polite and helpful.. Breakfast was very good with a variety of options. The room with everything in it was spotless. The price was perfect. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants comfort, the right price, and to be close to area entertainment

Though we requested 2 non-smoking rooms and they were posted as such outside the rooms, both had obvious cigarette smoke odors to the point that some of our clothes smelled from smoke as well. Other than that everything was great. Close to the Crew Stadium and a large choice of restaurants in the immediate area.
