The toilets were clogged and filthy. They looked like they have had several episodes of #2 without being cleaned..only its actually apart of the toilet. The showers still had hair in the drain. The bath tub stoppers DIDN'T work. The kitchen came stocked with half of what was promised. I called the front desk and asked for pots and pans and they never […] brought them. Then the front desk comes banging on the door (concealing their faces from the peep hole with a hood on so you think your gonna get robbed!) BEFORE check out time...asking if you will be leaving! I've stayed in other rooms there before and every one of them have had MAJOR problems including air conditioner that wont turn off, toilets/refrigerator that won't work, or dirty towels and sheets! Save yourself the hassle and time and DON'T book with this hotel. You pay for extra to get nothing. Mehr

I have never written a bad hotel review before. I've stayed in a dozen hotel/motels in the last year alone and feel like I have pretty basic expectations that are usually met for accommodations I book online. Homestead Suites in Midvalley, UT is an (unfortunate) exception to my usual experience. For starters, the hotel was tricky to find--not right […] off Redwood Rd. as it's address implies and it took me 10 minutes of driving back and forth just to find it. Upon arrival, a friendly (if overly confessional) staff member checked me in. The room key didn't work and I was given another that did quickly. The room was the real problem. The toilet seat (the part you actually sit on) was covered in dried urine. I mean covered. The bathtub was grimy and the whole room felt dirty and outdated. As I was only there for one night, I didn't have reason to use the kitchenette, but upon looking at it quickly, I would not have wanted to. The walls were paper thin and at 4:00am I was awakened by the sound of the person showering in the room next to me. It was not a muffled sound but was so loud that it jolted both me and my 2 year old daughter out of a deep sleep. Another thing that should be taken into consideration is how many people actually LIVE in this facility. I was told upon check in that they have a significant number of tenants who live there full time and it does have more of an apartment complex feel than that of a normal motel/hotel (i.e. lots of people going in and out of rooms, people gathered outside, etc.). Though the desk staff was mostly helpful and friendly, every other thing about this hotel would keep me from ever going back. Mehr

I was very impressed by the fact that you could not hear everything that was going on outside your room itself. The room was not as clean as I would have liked but it wasn't unacceptable by any means. I would stay there again in the future.

You get what you pay for with this hotel.

There are NO ammenities, so bring your own coffee,tea or whatever. The Bed can you say ROCK HARD!!!! The room looked nothing like the pictures on the web site. I thought i was in a 1950's motel... bring your own shampoo, and large towels, and if you call those pillows then you would consider the ones at home to be giant size.... very dissappointed!!! […] 2 thumbs down. Oh and dont forget you have to take out your own trash!!! to the front desk dumpster area... there are nice instructions to this affect...and room service is ONLY once a week if you stay more than one day. if you still book it dont say i didn't warn you!!! I CHECKED INTO THE ROOM AND IT WAS NOT ALL THAT GREAT. FOR THE PRICE I THOUGHT MAYBE A BIT CLEANER WOULD BE GOOD. AFTER A NIGHT OUT I RETURNED ABOUT MIDNIGHT I TURNED DOWN THE BED ONLY TO FIND THAT THE SHEET HAD NOT BEEN CHANGED SINCE THE LAST GUEST THAT HAD STAYED THERE. SO AT MIDNIGHT I HAD TO CHANGE SHEETS AND PILLOW CASES. ALSO THE BEDSPREAD HAVE […] DOG FICIES ON IT..VERY POOR QUALITY.. Mehr

We were in Utah for a Nephews wedding and my Nephew had this Hotel listed as a place to stay. Only after checking out prices and locations of other motels did I look at the Homestead.. I had thought that it would be high priced but I was surprised at how low the cost was and all that we were getting for our money. The only regret is that we could not […] spend more time. We were in such a hurry we forgot some pillows we had brought from home and a camera which we hadn't realized we left behind. One of the relatives swung by and picked up our belongings. The desk clerk Angie took care of our stuff.. Thanks Angie. We will be looking for Extended stay Hotels anytime we travel in the future. Nice to have coffee in a mug instead of styrofoam. toilet flush was not working hence need to change the room.. AC was also kindda out of order meaning it was not cooling the air... room was stinking... few dark spots on carpet.. i would not recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying here for more than one night.

cheap hotel, no amenities meaning no pool no breakfast, no hbo a few cable channels. bed we very uncomfortable. and very squeeky. bathtub was very old and looked like a coal miner had just bathed in in it. closet doors were broken. but I guess for the pricet probably could have done worse.

I have never seen this in a hotel before but you have to pay extra to have your room refreshed, that includes clean towels. Also called for an extra pillow and they never brought us one

The room was adequately comfortable physically. Mentally and emotionally it was a disaster. It was not clean and it was in disrepair. There was garbage left from previous residents that smelled horrible and there was only one garbage can. There was only a small amount of toilet paper which I had to ration because there were no spares anywhere in the […] room. Hotel behind other buildings and entrance not identified well. Only stayed 1 night. Reasonably priced. Clean & comfortable. Would stay again.

The room was nice but it smelt like smoke. It was a non-smoking room.

It was very nice to find that almost everything that we would need was right around the hotel

Personal were very nice and helpful. The Room was clean and nice, well worth the $$$. Be sure to ask for extra pillows, dish soap and coffee /w cream and sugar at check in.

Front desk staff was very professional and pleasant considering all the problems that I encountered while there. I was given three rooms and none were ready for occupancy. The last room's phone didn't work nor did the internet work. Although this was a nonsmoking room, other guests smoked outside their rooms and in the parking lot outside my door. Bed […] and pillows were well below average. No wake up service. The place had potential but didn't live up to it. This weekend, I'm spending the extra $10 and staying at a Motel #. Mehr

they put me into a room that stunk pure tobacco. The comforter has a blood stain on it. I got switch to another room but still I could not help but felt dirt around me. I had to go out and purchase some blankets to put on top of their covers, so I wont have to sleep on theirs. The hotel was very easy to find. The staff was very helpful and friendly. For the price, I was very impressed with the room. There was a lot around the hotel, like places to eat, gas stations, and close to the highway. Yet it was very quiet. Checkout was easy.

While Extended Stay hotels are nice for their amenities (Microwave, stove top, silverware, pots and pans, and toaster) this usually attracts not the best people. I saw one person yelling at their room door, another person smoking something that was definitely not a cigarette, and yet another person outside their door crying silently. Added to the location […] inside an office park, its a bit hard to find. Close to restaurants and stores, so if you can stand the patronage, it's not too bad. (a word to the wise: Wash all silverware and dishes prior to usage) Mehr

Room was clean. Had problems with the A/C and Fridge. Buttons where removed so I was unable to adjust temperature. II had called the day before arrival and asked about blow dryer in the room and was assured they are in all rooms, no blow dryer or sample shampoo etc.

Everything went just right. The servce was perfect, no waiting which is very much appreciated after a long flight. The room was clean the women who worked there were so helpful and I ended up staying an extra 2 days. Delightful:)

I love it! Private,clean and quiet. The staff is very helpful-Raylene and Cass are great and helpful.

We showed up late and needed some additional assistance after hours, which a friendly staff provided with no problem. We were also a bit surprised to find so many extras in the room, for which we paid a very standard hotel room price. These included a small kitchen stocked with pots and pans and dishes, which made for a very homey experience and helped […] us relax after a long day. We were impressed! Mehr

I didn't really enjoy the stay but I had no choice almost all the hotels where booked. They don't clean the room unless you stay for 7 days and they only give you 4 towls. The second night I got back to the room both my keys didn't even work and I had to go through the hasl of try to get someone in the office again and she didn't even know how to use […] the key machine so I had to get let into my room with no keys. I was not happy at all about my stay and I never stay at the hotel or that company of hotel again. I'll pay the extra 10 dollers or drive the extra time to another one. Mehr

The room was clean and adequate. Nothing fancy but a good bang for the buck and a good place to stay for business. Convenient to I-215.

After reading reviews of this hotel, we were apprehensive upon opening the door to our room. Surprisingly, we found most of the room clean, the bathroom and kitchenette were spotless, we even ventured onto the carpet barefoot. We were about to chalk up the reviews toward hard-to-please types of the pristine nature until we flipped open the bedcovers. […] The sheets revealed a huge brown stain just south of the pillows with small rolled up pieces of dirt and skin matting the area. Even though it's an extended stay, wouldn't rooms be cleaned when someone moved out? Mehr

The first problem I had with this hotel was it's location. After a couple U-turns I was finally able to get there. When I went to the front desk to check in it took the lady about 20 minutes to figure out how to get me checked in. When I walked into the room I could hardly stand the smell-- it was absolutely atrocious. I ended up buying Fabreez from […] the store and using about a can and a half. They did call me in the morning to make sure my night was okay and asked if I needed anything else. I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless you have no other choice. Mehr

It took the front desk clerk about 15 minutes to check us in even though we were prepaid. Our smoking room had no ashtrays & upon retrieving one, we were given a kitchen bowl to use. The bed was broken & there were beetles in our room and spiders in our bathroom.

Upon arrived we had to wait upon receptionist, who was having a personal conversation with someone else. After approx 5 minutes when they were finished we were given our room keys. We were booked into a room that already was occupied and opened the door with our keys to the room-embarrassing moment. When we did get reassigned, our room had cobwebs, […] the ac/heater had no knobs (therefore we could not change temp or adjust fan, it blew all night at a colder than desired temperature.
