Homestead Kansas City - Country Club Plaza - Kansas City

Location was exactly what I was looking for and the price was reasonable and less than other hotels nearby. But it's pretty spartan. I can't really recall the last time I stayed at a hotel that didn't have a hairdryer in the room and didn't have any amenities --as basic as such as shampoo!

They did not do one thing they said they would and gave me the dirtiest and nastiest no view room they could...

The rooms are nice. There is no desk in the room, so you have to sit on an un-comfortable bar stool at the "kitchen counter' to do any paper/computer work. There was a cigarette burn in the bedspread. But overall, I would stay here again. The rate I got was much lower than the other hotels in the immediate area, so it was a good value.

This was nice - got a great deal on a last minute reservation and the room was clean and comfortable. It was a little tricky to find the drive from the main road, especially for someone who doesn't drive much in Kansas City. Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. We had an unfortunate situation with some white trash folk yelling and fighting up and down our hall most of the night after 2 am. The gentlemen at the front desk did what he could and the hotel itself was fine. I however will not go back to KS City without my pistol.

I was completely satisfied with my room. I liked having a kitchette, but cannot say I really used it, so can not comment on how well it was equipped. If I have a suggestion, please place a table on the landing at the back entry so you can set things down while you search for your entry key.

Not a bad place to stay if you have to be in town for a couple of days. They need better TV's mine was going in and out.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the Plaza in Kansas City. The staff was friendly and competent. The rooms were very clean and had plenty of towels in the bathrooms. For the low price versus other surrounding hotels in the area, I feel that this hotel represents a good value. Recommended highly at this price point.

This hotel is about as close to the Plaza as you can get. It is a little run down and a little lacking on amenities, but the staff is great and the room was comfortable so for an inexpensive night where you plan to be around the Plaza, this place is a good place to stay.

The room was fine, but I did need to tell the desk clerk they needed to replace the warped toilet seat and there was only 1 night table for the 2 of us.

Convenient location with good rates.

We enjoyed our stay there. Our only complaint was there were only two pillows. But then we never asked for more. The bed was comfortable enough, the kitchen was great. The bathtub was the typical uncomfortable hotel tub.

Despite reviews, there were no flying cockroaches and my room didn't smell so bad that I had to change. The bed wasn't the softest but it was clean. Easy check in and out. The hallways have a certain odor but for the price, i'm not complaining. My girlfriend was skeptical of the place after reading the reviews but it was totally fine. The proximity […] to the plaza is unequaled and you are right down main from Westport and only a few minutes from Crossroads and Downtown. For the price, this hotel is un beatable. Mehr

Not much by way creature comforts for this extended stay hotel, but if you're looking for a place that's literally across the street from the plaza than this is your place. Boring studio setup, complete with kitchen, stiff bed, remodeled bathrooms and free parking are what you'll get.
