"Ausgangsort für 3 Tage New York"
Bewertet von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 27. Aug. 2012Wir (2 Erwachsene mit 3 Kindern, 7, 9 , 11 Jahre) wollten New York besichtigen und suchten ein Hotel außerhalb der Stadt. Für unsere Ansprüche war es das ideale Hotel. Sehr angenehmer Frühstücksraum im 3. OG, Schwimmbad im Hotel für die Kinder (fast immer leer) und eine fast schon ländliche Lage. Idealer S-Bahn Anschluß nach New York (30 - 45 min). Zum Bahnhof des Ortes wurde man vom Hotel- Taxi kostenlos gebracht und auch abends wieder abgeholt. Alles war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich. Besonders "unser" Taxifahrer, der uns jeden morgen zum Bahnhof brachte.

Das Hotel ist absolut angemessen vom Preis / Leistungsverhältnis. Längere Aufenthalte sind wegen der Umgebung nicht empfehlenswert. Schade, dass keine Außenanlagen vorhanden sind. Bei schönem Wetter vermisst man eine Terasse.Authentische Expedia-Gästebewertung

I was very impressed with the set up and location of the hotel. Very convenient and relaxing, but apparently the hotel staff are lacking in critical thinking skills. They managed to mess up the dates on my reservation and on my key cards.They sent housekeeping to my room waking me times when I was not scheduled to check out. The third housekeeper didn't […] even knock. He just opened my door. I tried to come back to my room after the front desk was closed and I was locked out. I've been here several times, because of the low cost and that other hotels in the area were booked. The walls are generally very thin, the beds not very comfortable, and the blankets are, well, synthetic feeling. In the past, I've had to change rooms because the toilet didn't shut off or the room had trash. This time, though, there was no hot water […] in the morning. Brenda K. on the desk was extremely helpful changing my room when it was shown the card would not open the room lock ,also her tip about having both light switches in the up position allowed us to be able to watch TV . My boyfriend and I spent a Saturday night at the Homestead. The first room we checked into was dirty (towels on the floor, bed not made etc.). The second room was clean, but I was less than impressed. We were just looking for a room for a night, and that is what we got. The bed wasn't comfortable and the towels were extremely thin. It is an extended […] stay, so our room had a full sized fridge, microwave and stove top burners. On the way out, we saw a family checking in with a huge dog that was almost my size. Rate was good and space was available, but the shower needed a really hard scrub on the walls and the TV had poor reception. It was a basic setup with a basic kitchen, and pretty quiet except for the occasionally barking dog. Not a problem for us. "A little scary!"
There were alot of teenagers walking the halls and having loud parties. The guys that were walking the halls scared me cause i didn't know if they were plotting to rob me or break into my room. A little scary if u ask me! But overall the hotel was nice.Authentische Expedia-Gästebewertung

The hotel was fine for our purposes, since we were visiting family in the area and it is the only one which seems to allow pets. I think it is overpriced for what you get and I do resent paying an additional $25.00 a night for our dog. I realize it is an extended stay place, and that maid service is not offered daily, but trying to locate someone to […] get extra towels or coffee packs wasn't easy. A great, simple, clean hotel that welcomes pets. Stayed a night here while on the road - convenient location just off highway. Quiet, friendly staff. One caveat - not clear if the WiFi is free - tried to charge me for access when I checked in, but when I questioned the charge, I was given the code for free.Authentische Hotels.com-Gästebewertung
