It was a nice hotel. It is a nice town.

The hotel was ok. Not luxurious however not trashy sorrounded by other hotels I might have rather visited but it was for only 1 day so not terrible

This is the cheapest hotel to stay in this area and there is a reason for that. Rooms need updating, blankets, bedcover and sheets are old and room has a very creepy feel to it. Spend another $8- $10 and stay somewhere decent, I would not recommend this place. Hotel staff is not very friendly or helpful either.

thought it would be decent enough just for one night, i could've got a better night's rest at a motel 6. not worth what i paid for it. should have just paid the extra 30 bucks for a hilton. yah....that's how expensive it was for what i got. oh yah, and you get beer parties in the hall at all hours of the night. HORRIBLE

Room smelld bathroom smelled. Sofa dirty carpet dirty. Refrigerator did not cool enough for my daughters milk. Overall not a good stay. I would not stay at this hotel again. Possitive...friendly staff.

The hotel staff was very helpful however, the only available room was a smoking room. The entire floor that the room was located on, smells like smoke. You could smell it as soon as the elevator doors were opened. I found that the King deluxe room was very small. With the sofa bed open and the king size bed, there is hardly room to walk around some […] of the furniture. I probably won't go back to this hotel. And I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Mehr

The first room they gave was filled with construction materials. When I went back to the desk, the girl fixed it immediately with another room, and comped me free wifi. The second room didn't give off that "clean" feeling. Overall, I'd have to say, I'm not going back, and I don't recommend it to any one else.

good hotel for that price, well manintained room with good quality linen in the bathroom,, but kitchen utillity was uncomplete. You could not do much with it. In the neighbourhood shops and restaurants.

Rooms are pretty small for a studio suite. Basic cleanliness. Bad internet service. Nicely located.

The near by restaurants will come in handy. If you're staying her because of the kitchen ameneties...dont! its not worth it. I'm a professional cook and could not cook at all in those pots and pans. They burned my breakfast. I thought id be saving money by staying in and feeding my family in the room but i could not cook a simple breakfast meal. There […] was no shampoo in the shower. no utensils or dish soap. a wet towel was folded up and tried to be passed as dry. Its unfortunate because Ive stayed in this chain of hotel before and did not experience such bad housekeeping. every time i called and needed something, the house keeper was too busy to come up and bring towels or a extra pillow. The front desk made us go down and get what we needed ourselves. I was happy that there was so many wonderful restaurants near by because i had to hurry and get my children to one of them so they could eat a nice breakfast. Mehr

Homestead Suites is good for being low cost and having the essentials for a business long stay. I recommend taking inventory before taking room. The front desk is not always staffed at night and might take some time to respond on the phone. Not in perfect repair, but quiet and good for sleep.

I love going to this particular hotel the staff is great and it has the best location. My only problem I had on this visit was my last night the city shut the power off from 12am and didn't come back on til I dnt even knw when I had to leave at 545am. Clean room beds in good condition the only negtive was the heavy smell of cumen. Lysol spray took care of that. The front dest girl was very helpful and pleasent

I was so disappointed on our trip to south cal. Because when we check in they told us we got The smoking room which were not expected Because I always make sure were in non Smoking room . It was really bad since my son Has an asthma. They were booked so we have To wait till tomorrow if somebody will check out. Nobody called to inform us the a availability The […] next day that we have to go back to them And ask. It was already late at night. Finally After all our complain, they gave us a room. Mehr

great place. great room.

This hotel needs to be cleaned from top to bottom. The shower had black mold growing around the entire shower. The bed springs were stabbing me in the back all night and the place had spiders in the room. Overall the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Also the night front desk person after 11pm left us outside knocking for 20min before they answered […] the door. Mehr

Good neighbourhood.. Close to grocery and fast food res.... But ATT mobile users stay out.. Ofcourse its not hotel's problem.. Almost zero bars at second floor... At third floor my mobile could pickup some signal[hardly one bar].. I kept the window open to make calls.. One more hitch was the wireless internet.. No internet wireless signals at second […] floor.. Called up tech support and they couldn't fix it in reasonable time... But the front desk lady was really kind and professional and let me switch to third floor. I could connect to internet thereafter but waste of time and effort in that process..... Mehr

I had no idea when I booked this hotel that they do NOT clean the rooms more than once a week! This made for a very difficult two days when we were there. Plus, it's RIGHT next to the freeway.

The experience was bad. The hotel.com site advertises complimentary gym which is false advertising. We checked in Saturday night to use the gym Sunday and the Sunday manager didn't know anything about it. He said we were the 2nd person that day asking about it and to talk to the manager Monday. On Monday the front office said there is no agreement for […] gym but that there is a 24 hour fitness gym that offers 7 day passes for local residents and to use that. This is deceiving and 24 hour fitness uses this to increase membership by encouraging locals to join. Being a temporary occupant at Homestead is not being a local resident!!! The kitchen dishes/utensils were minimal, under the counter. The cold water knob came off. We called Saturday, Sunday, and Monday with promises that it would be fixed. It never was. We were told the manager comes in between 8-9AM Monday to Friday. On checkout we stayed late until 9AM to speak to the manager who was not in and not expected until 9:30. We left our card, phone number, and e-mail and never heard anything. We've had minor issues with Extended Stay, an affiliate of Homestead, and they voluntarily comp'd us a day. Homestead won't even return a call. We will go back to Extended Stay and not stay here again. Mehr

This was a very nice and clean hotel and you really couldn't beat the price. I was surprised that there was a full kitchen there, and it was right off the free way off-ramp.

Convenient location, clean & comfortable.

The toilet in our room didnt flush. The carpet was dirty.The sink did not drain well. The bed was hard as a rock. Coffee Maker but no coffee cups.

The place was definitely not as bad as the comments say they are. The front desk was very nice and would be willing to do anything to make us comfortable (someone previously took out our fire alarm). Other than that, it was clean and the carpet looked newly reupholstered.

Nice front desk. Room clean and near many restaurants.

The room was nice but fair warning, the staff pry's into your business! Pleasantries are one thing, but when your being asked about your life for over 10 minutes it gets creepy. I should also mention that they wish to continue escorting you and asking you after check in and will continue to pry into your business as you leave and enter the hotel. Email to mgmt of hotel: We had an opportunity to stay at the Monrovia Homestead this past weekend for the Breeders Cup in room 110. We had our reservations, as the posting on Trip Advisor had some negative comments. We had figured incorrectly, since it was posted, the problems would be taken care of. How disappointing we were to find a run down, nasty […] hotel. Your staff was friendly and tried to be accommodating, but had a difficult job. The rugs in the room were extremely dirty and to sit on the couch I had to put towels down. I went to throw something in the garbage and ended up with some nasty sticky stuff on my hand from the cabinet and no garbage pail. There were no hangers nor remote control for the TV. My husband went to the front desk and came back with the remote and hangers. Also there were no glasses etc in the room. On our way out to dinner we asked for the cabinet to be cleaned, garage pail installed and extra towels. These items were in our room when we returned. unfortunately also on our return we discovered a fly smashed against the bathroom wall, disgusting. In the morning the shower head was a very strong stream without ability to change it to a more useful shower . We went off to the races and dinner and upon our return we decided we would rather drive home to Redondo Beach than stay another night. The night clerk offered us another room but we just couldn't stay, even though we had paid for the night and knew we would not receive a refund. Your hotel needs a revamp and it is unfortunate that we were there before that had been accomplished. You have taught us a lesson to listen more to Trip Advisor on what comments are posted, I would advise you to do the same. Mehr

Price was okay, but the room was a lot smaller than expected. Room had a kitchen with only one cup, one pan, but it did have silverware for two. I called guest services for a frying pan that took 5 hours and 4 phone calls to get and I had to go down to get it. Thing that got me the most mad is that guest services always said they would call me back […] and never did! I spoke with a different person each time. Never going back ever! Mehr
