Das Mediterranean Inn liegt etwas außerhalb des Zentrums Seattles in der Nähe des Seattle Centers (mit Space Needle). Es ist bequem per Bus (tageszeitabhängiger Preis zwischen $2,25 und $2,50) zu erreichen. Gleich nebenan ist ein Starbucks, dessen Kaffeeduft in die Lobby des Hotels zieht. Unser Zimmer war mit einer Mikrowelle, Spüle und einem Kühlschrank sowie großen Flachbildschirm ausgestattet. Leider hatte es keinen Safe, was aber nicht schlimm war. Das Bad war sauber und groß. Leider ohne Fenster. Der Ausblick aus dem Zimmer ging in den Innenhof des Hotels. Schade aber nicht so schlimm, denn die Dachterrasse des Hotels erlaubt einen Blick über Seattle. Die Angestellten des Hotels machten einen netten und hilfsbereiten Eindruck und haben uns auch um 4 Uhr morgens bei unsere Abreise geholfen. Das Hotel verfügt über WLAN und ein Business Center. Das WLAN ist für $5 pro Tag nutzbar und kann mit einem Fahrradausleihprogramm (in Summe $7,99) kombiniert werden. Im Sommer bestimmt sehr sinnvoll. Das Business Center ist kostenlos nutzbar (ebenso wie die Drucker und Faxgeräte darin). Außerdem verfügt das Hotel über einen Fitnessraum und diverse Münzwaschmaschinen und Trockner). Noch etwas zur Umgebung. In unmittelbarer Nähe (3-5 min zu Fuß) sind diverse Restaurants, Kneipen und auch ein Kino. Ebenso wie ein Safeway Supermarkt.

Komfortable großzügige Zimmer, unseres mit komplett eingerichteter Küche. Sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet mit Obst, Joghurt, Müsli etc. Minishop und ebenfalls ein kleiner Starbucks sind auch im Hotel vorhanden. Die Lage ist der einzige Minuspunkt für uns gewesen, da sehr weit vom Innenstadtbereich entfernt (zu Fuß ca. 25 Minuten). Ebenfalls direkt an der Interstate gelegen, somit 24 Stunden die Autos zu hören.

Die Vorzüge des Hotels sind eindeutig: 1.) Die ausgezeichnete Lage für Reisende die möglichst schnell (ca. 200 m zu Fuß) vom Hotel bis zu Check-In Schalter kommen möchten. Wegen der Kürze des Weges geht das sogar zu Fuß bei Regen ohne Schirm! 2.) Die unmittelbare Nähe (ca. 250 m) zum LightRail Link zwischen Flughafen und Seattle Downtown, wobei die Tageskarte ca. 5$ kostet. Fahrtzeit ca. 35 Minuten. Ansonsten war das Hotel älter in der Ausstattung (ungefähr 70er Jahre Bauzeit) mit einigen Upgrades (z.B. zwei neue Flachbildschirme). Das Standard-Zimmer (Bad, Schlafzimmer, Auftenhaltsraum) war sauber. Die Lounch und der Frühstücksbereich des Hotels gepflegt. Das Frühstück war hingegen nur Durchschnitt, so daß man eher in Seattle Downtown frühstücken möchte. Der sehr Nahe gelegene Flughafen bietet diesbezüglich auch nur wenig an. Einzige Kritikpunkte meines Zimmers auf der Seite zum Flughafen war der laute Straßenverkehr des 'Internationl Boulevard' for dem Hotel (der Fluglärm hingegen war gut erträglich). Und die Klimaanlage, welche in Seattle aber selten nötig wäre, wenn man das Fenster öffenen könnte. Das ging zwar mechanisch problemlos, aber bei dem Straßenverkehr-Krach ... Ich würde das Hotel dennoch weiterempfehlen. In der Summe war es rund.

Lage
Homestead Seattle-Bellevue liegt in Bellevue in der Nähe von T-Mobile USA Headquarters, Factoria Mall und Bellevue College. Nicht weit entfernt befinden sich: Kelsey Creek Farm und Bellevue Botanical Garden.

Die Eastside von Seattle ist einer der wohlhabendsten Bezirke Amerikas. Die Anwesen mit einem Wert von mehreren Millionen Dollar am Ufer des Lake Washington dienen als luxuriöses Domizil für einige bekannte Milliardäre, darunter auch Bill Gates. Mit ihren riesigen Bürohochhäusern und Bankentürmen steht die Skyline von Bellevue Downtown der von Seattle in nichts nach. An der Eastside sind mehrere Hauptfirmensitze angesiedelt, u. a. die von Microsoft, Nintendo of America und Eddie Bauer.

Dieses Hotel ist relativ preisgünstig, für Autofahrer geschickt gelegen und hat ausreichend Parkplätze (kostenlos und vor der Tür). Ohne eigenes Auto weniger geeignet. Die Schnellstraße liegt nicht weit und mit offenem Fenster kann es lauter werden. Es wird nur ein mal die Woche ein kompletter Zimmerservice gemacht. Eine rudimentäre Küche mit großem, […] sauberen und neuen Kühlschrank ist auch drin. Internet ist prinzipiell eigenschlossen, allerdings kostet die WLAN-Freischaltung für bis zu 4 Wochen einen kleinen Obolus. Das Hotel ist damit nicht für jeden gut geeignet, wenn man jedoch mit diesem speziellen Angebot etwas anfangen kann ist es wirklich gut. Ich war sehr zufrieden. Mehr
"Beautiful Bellevue Stay"
The site is located in a buisness district so very quiet on the weekend. Close to everything from shopping to nice places to eat in Bellevue. Just hop on the 90(Toll free) to Mercer or downdown Seattle in no time at all. Very convienient and close to all. No parking fees. Friendly staff eager to assist. "Perfect for a stay outside of Seattle"
We didn't realize but this hotel has more of a long-stay format--but the only way that affected us was that we had no cleaning service since we were only there two days. Fine by me! It's easy to find from the highway and felt very safe--brightly lit, etc. Outside looked very top notch for a motel-style place. Rooms were typical comfort level--carpet […] a little worn but otherwise very nice. Dishes and kitchenette with full refrigerator supplied. Plenty of room. We were very happy to have picked this hotel as a cheaper alternative to staying in Seattle proper--and the commute in isn't awful, and it's pretty, so I'd say definitely worth the savings. Mehr

"Nice but not close"
This was a wonderful place. Sadly it was not. Lose to Seattle or the main rail transportation but if you have your own vehicle it is near enough. I felt very safe and was able to find some great jogging areas. If you happen to be LDS this is a great place to stay because it is so close to the Bellevue temple.

Good service, good price will stay again
Room was not ready at check in due to reports being run. 30 minutes to wait was not pleasant when tired, The office worker was extremely sorry for the inconvenience but it was out of her control. I would stay here again.
"Will never go back at this motel"
I arrived late just before midnight. There was nobody at motel to check me in. Even the reservation said that my accommodation is guarantee. I had to made numbers of calls until somebody shows up and checked me in at 2:30AM.

"My first choice for staying in Seattle"
Great value for the price. Friendly staff and clean rooms. We got a ground floor room just steps from the parking lot. Great for my handicap father. Location was not as close to our destination as we'd like, but it was right off the freeway so an easy commute. This was the 3rd visit and the staff has gone above and beyond each time. Hotel is clean and tidy. Not a conventional hotel. They don't clean unless asked. Need to ask for coffee for the morning after the packet they had in the room is used for the 1st morning. This is the only complaint I have.

"good cost performance, internet is sometimes slow"
Its a hotel room. The place is clean, the employees are friendly. I've stayed here 5 or 6 times? Last visit the internet was very slow for a couple of hours.
"No toilet for 6 hours"
On the first day of our stay our toilet got clogged at about 10am. We looked for, but could not find a plunger in the bathroom. Upon calling the front desk (and convincing them that we indeed did look for a plunger and could not find one, which took a couple calls), we were told that there was no staff that could help us immediately but that someone […] would be notified. At 4pm, I walked over to the front desk and reiterated the problem. The lady at the front was able to find a plunger after about 30 seconds of searching and handed it to me. I could complain about the fact that someone was not sent over to unclog the toilet and that I had to do it myself, but I won't because I completely understand that Homestead provides low cost amenities and you get what you paid for; I am capable of unclogging a toilet myself given the tools. However, me and my guest were without a working toilet for over 6 hours, and the entire time there was a plunger at the front desk! When we called the first couple times, why weren't we told to come in to the front desk to pick up a plunger? I cannot begin to imagine what would have happened if the front desk did not have a spare plunger... would we have had to find a public restroom each time we needed to relieve ourselves? In conclusion, while again I understand and acknowledge that the price of our stay was quite affordable, the level of service was atrocious and unacceptable no matter how you look at it; I was completely shocked and would not recommend Homestead to any of my colleagues or friends. "Homestead Seattle Bellevue"
We paid for an internet connection that was often down and very slow to respond. Hotel was good, asked for a non-smoking room, was given one that nevertheless smelled of cigarettes. Overall a good experience and very clean.

I wassupprise to see the full kitchen. It had everything we would need for an extended stay. It was a little hard to find but was in a good neighborhood. Would stay there again
"Great Hotel"
I recently stayed in the Homestead, Seattle-Bellvue hotel for one night. The service was great! They let me check in although I was only 20 years old (they required that you had to be 21 to rent a room). The room was small but had a sizable kitchen with a sink, full size fridge, and a bar with two chairs. The room was very clean and even included an […] ice tray in the freezer so we were always able to get cold water. The internet wasn't free but was only 6 dollars so it was not too bad. My only complaints about the room were the bed and the TV. The TV was very small and outdated. Most hotels these days have flat screens, but this hotel had a very small tube TV that was difficult to watch. Also, the bed was very hard! One of the most uncomfortable beds I've slept in at a hotel. Besides that , this place was great. I would definitely recommend it. Mehr

"Great stay in Seattle"
Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located right off the freeway (but not too close) and very near a nice shopping centre with a grocery store and a number of restaurants. I very much enjoyed my stay here and would readily stay again.

The room we received was not the best room at the hotel. Since we booked on your web site it was the room nobody wanted. The air conditioner was very loud and you couldn’t open a window. It seemed all the other room you could. I called for extra pillows and the clerk said it would be a ½ hr until they would be able to run the pillow up. I offered to […] come down to the lobby and pick them up. But, that was not an option. It took an hour to bring up the pillows. The room was very clean and the bed was nice. My husband thought the bed was to firm. But, I liked it. Would I stay again, maybe, if they offered a different room. Mehr

The staff was very friendly. The room was clean. The only problem I had was that the bathtub drain was clogged. We took a shower in the morning, it was draining very slowly. We left for the day & when we came back there was a layer of hair on the bottom of the tub. It was not mine. My husband called the front desk to have someone look at it. we had 2 rooms, 206&256.. RM 206 SMELLED AWFUL WE EVEN SPRAYED AIR FRESHENER AND IT STILL WAS SO BAD THAT WE HAD TO KEEP THE WINDOW WIDE OPEN FOR SOME KIND OF FRESH AIR. RM 256 BATH TUB WAS DRAINING VERY SLOWLY SO I MOVED THE PLUG UP AND DOWN AND A BUNCH OF LITTLE HAIRS STARTED COMING OUT OF THE DRAIN, NEEDLESS TO SAY I PASSED ON THE BATH!

"get what you pay for"
This hotel was very difficult to find and the beds were very hard and squeeky. The hotel also made charges to my credit card as well as hotels.com, which i am still waiting to hear if they corrected. Hotels.com itself was helpful and I had no problems with their service.

Like a studio apt. Small kitchen, fridge, micro, dishes. Up hill from traffic noise, But bars/restaurants not far. Affordable, and comfortable.

Sans ongoing plumbing problems, hard bed it was perfect for us. Conveneint to shopping, seattle, and snoqualmie casino, where we were catching anjelah johnson's comedy show.

It has all the regular facilities like comfortable bed, some kitchen, refrigerator, microwave, TV, bathroom, heater and so on. That all we needed. It perfectly serves the purpose of a Hotel. No complaints, very Satisfied.
