Ingleside Inn - Palm Springs

This is a small, intimate, vintage "resort" with a very private feeling. No kids running around the pool. It's very quiet and inobtrusive. The staff do a very good job of meeting your needs and staying in the background. Very short walk into town. Very pleasurable vacation.

Nice hotel with beautiful surrondings and great staff. Would really recommend it!

I really loved the Ingleside Inn. It was quiet, quaint and in walking distance to the palm springs hot spots. If your looking to relax and sit by an amazing pool this is the place for you!

Loved this hotel. Located just one block off the strip, this hotel is quiet and initmate. We enjoyed swimming and relaxing by the pool all day. The pool is located in a private garden surrounded by palm trees and greenery. You can take in views of the surrounding San Jacinto mountains while lounging on a raft or chair. (The pool was also just refurbished […] in 2011.) The staff are extremely friendly, always passing through to take drink orders or attend to any other needs. The rooms are cute and spacious. Only a quick walk to some of Palm Springs' best hotels. I definitely recommend this hotel and can't wait to go back!! Mehr

It felt like going in a time machine back to the 30's. Service was excellent from the moment we walked in the door. I would highly recommend this place to anybody looking for a romantic getaway. The room was cozy, they gave us complimentary drinks and snacks upon arrival. The landscape and structures are beautiful. The service was outstanding and the pool was lovely and warm. The room was a little small but everything else made up for it. You could also walk into town but yet you felt miles away, and the view of the mountains was great. Read all the review prior to our stay and everything was as described. Very quiet, nice rooms as to be expected from the type of place. Pool was nice, service was great, close walking distance to downtown, would recommend!!

This is an old estate so there are some odities like the refrigerator in the closet. Residential style door locks, and tile floor instead of carpet. Some of the odities were great like a celing light and a shower with some water pressure. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet except for the air conditioner, and the water fountain in the courtyard. […] The staff was helpful and friendly. Mehr

I enjoyed our stay at the Inn very much. The hotel is a collection of small buildings - or villas - surrounding well-maintained, green courtyards. The result is a nice, secluded feel ideal for romantic visits by couples. Not so great for families. The pool is not huge, but a good and workable size. The grounds are very well maintained. (My only complaint […] was the lack of umbrellas to block the sun from the poolside chairs. However, you can easily move the chairs so they are in the shadow.) When we arrived, we checked in promptly and received a warm welcome from the attendant, who explained to us that there were complimentary beverages in our room's fridge that would be restocked daily. We also entered the room to find a wrapped-up package of little treats, which was a very nice touch. Although located at the end of the downtown strip, the location is still convenient for walking to restaurants. The advantage of being down the strip aways is that you are in a quieter section of downtown. The area behind the hotel is undeveloped, adjacent to a mountain, which makes for a good view, a quieter environment and a close-to-nature feel for a hotel located within downtown. The rooms aren't terribly large, and the air conditioner - a window unit - was a little noisy. But we turned it up to about 77 and it remained quiet. Still, the room was clean, well-maintained and although small, well-designed, with nicely renovated bathrooms. The hotel opened in 1922 - giving it a historic feel - though clearly it has been substantially renovated over the years to keep it up-to-date. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms located in a small, two-story building. We didn't see the villas - standalone structures consisting of one room - but I'm assuming they are larger and looked very nice from the outside, at least. The courtyard is quiet. There is a restaurant on-site and you can eat outside by the pool. The restaurant is somewhat expensive - perhaps not for downtown Palm Springs - but Mehr

The first night we were there, only 5 of the 20 rooms were rented. We were shown a nice quiet room in the back, close to parking. A plate with fruit, crackers and cheese was there to welcome us, and the small frig was stocked with complimentary water, sodas and juice. The room was clean, though the bed was not the most comfortable - since it was a bit […] on the soft side. I'll definitely be back. Lots of charm and character - and very comfortable. Staff was very welcoming courteous. Tucked away against the hillside - felt remote even though close to all the shops, restaurants and attractions of Palm Springs.

the hotel grounds were very nice-the pool and the pool area was really nice-good for swimming and reading-i would not go back unless i got to see the specific room i would be staying in

I had never been to Palm Springs and really didn't know what to expect.... The Ingleside is even a more beautiful property in person than the pictures on the internet. The staff was extremely attentive and accomodating! We had an upstairs mountain view room and it had everything that we needed. The bathroom was clean and updated well with a huge shower. […] I did yoga in the morning on the deck by the hot tub and was greeted by a hummingbird!!!! We can't wait to go back. I was very impressed with this hotel. It was very nice.

We loved this fabulous hideaway in the heart of Palm Springs.We had booked a junior suite and were delighted with the villa which we were assigned; near t o the pool with own terrace and dining furniture. The room was in Western style, very comfortable and clean with a huge bed made from natural wood,,in the form of branches; all rooms are different […] but we loved this one for it's originality. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous, nothing too much trouble. "Melvyn's" restaurant at the hotel, is excellent, a really classic menu and service, great atmosphere and a people watcher's paradise. This is not a place for families but great for everyone else who enjoys things done tastefully,and efficiently; particularly those who enjoy a sense of old world glamour. We have visited Palm Springs several times before but this is our first visit to "The Ingleside Inn" and wont be the last. It's a great place for a few days rest and relaxation. Mehr

This hotel has an old school look and feel to it and is perfect for adults and couples. The rest of palm springs is modern and family oriented whereas the Ingleside Inn caters more to romantic getaways. Great bar/restaurant, beautiful decor, deep pool,perfect location, and overall very pleasing to all of the senses. Loved it!

Très bel endroit, accueil particulièrement attentionné, personnel très disponible. Se reposer dans le jardin près de la magnifique piscine est très appréciable dans cette région particulièrement chaude.
